Any recommendations that have similar vibes to Venom or Valor?
About to humiliate my self because I'm about to list a very limited range of fics that are significantly better than mine with very different styles from mine. But you need this information
I started writing Venom or Valor specifically because of:
Bookbinding by Asenora/ @saintsenara, tom/myrtle - at the time I was only just barely sketching out why I was so fascinated with Tom and piecing together how his grandiosity and drama and mood swings spoke to a primal longing within him and this fic didn't press my buttons so much as smack me up the skull with a 2x4.
A Learning Experience by Laeveteinn, mostly gen - incredible character study of Tom's 10 years at Borgin and Burkes. Ending made my toes curl.
yes I realize the humour that neither of these are tomarry. Sorry I only ship it because I think Harry would make Tom happy like I'm indulging my favourite child
Some other stuff I think contributed:
Strings of Fate, by dizzydreamer, Tomarry - Every chapter has me absolutely screaming in laughter because Tom doesn't know how to act. Just an INCREDIBLE parade of deranged behaviour, really unfolding his worst tendencies like a beautiful flower. Babe you gotta stop licking the book
Consumption by Laeveteinn, Tomarry - quite possibly my favourite tomarry fanfic in the whole wide world. I want to hand-feed this to squeamish newcomers. If you like my Tom Laeveteinn is basically mandatory reading
Innocent (until proven guilty) by Laeveteinn, Tom/Grindelwald - pointing this one out specifically because this fic is activating villain apologia of the likes never before seen within me. Dumbledore bashers don't have the range to write this specific texture of child neglect. I feel like I am witnessing actual family drama. Grindelwald genuinely anguished and trying to find direction in his life grooming Tom is like something my mom would tell me about my cousin. I feel like I got to drive out to see him. I got to drive out across Canada to see Tom and tell him. I got to tell him that he should probably find himself before shacking up with a 60-year-old man famous for manipulating his way out of anything. My baby cousin Tom
Lover's Spit by amelinda and k3u, Tomarry - I keep calling this unrecommendable and then keep recommending it. Cannot repeat enough times that it is about Tom Riddle being inadvertently groomed by 4chan to be an edgelord stalking and threatening to rape the boy he has a crush on in a manner so grotesque he becomes a media sensation as a figurehead of horrifying internet depravity corrupting our children. That all being said. I've never read a fic with such loving worldbuilding it makes me think "should I stop reading fanfic and get back into literary fiction". I absolutely love the cadence of Tom's thoughts and the way he code-switches to slur-regurgitating 4channer. Most importantly: good face-tearing slowburn
dum spiro spero by Asenora/Saintsenara, Tom/Rookwood - Another pseudo-hanahaki, really concretely cemented my desire to ship Tom with anyone who can make him happy. The way Rookwood talks about Tom is truly incredible. The humour is impeccable. The monologue. You know the fic is good when it makes you wail IRL. Asenora a fantastic author, not just for Tom but for character studies in general. 10/10 Merope fics
Sorry this is almost entirely two authors. As always, I am a slow reader of the likes never before seen AND I'm picky. Nothing else has contributed to how VoV reads. It really is just these fics and Thor Ragnarok.
#asks#also. and this is embarrassing. meta posts from about 4 tumblr blogs.#me scrolling thru the good ol saintsenara and whinlatter archives with a notebook nodding and going 'listening and learning'#recs

ISO Certification for Renewable Construction Materials in Saudi Arabia: Building Green with Confidence
Green Construction Needs Global Standards
As Saudi Arabia accelerates towards Vision 2030, sustainability is not just an option—it's a national priority. The construction industry, long known for its environmental footprint, is undergoing a transformative shift. Renewable construction materials like recycled steel, bamboo composites, low-carbon cement, and green insulation are now in high demand. But how can stakeholders trust these new materials? The answer lies in ISO Certification.
ISO Certification ensures that products, processes, and systems meet internationally recognized standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. In Saudi Arabia, ISO standards are increasingly becoming the benchmark for sustainable development and market entry. From green building design to the use of renewable materials, ISO plays a critical role in shaping the future of environmentally responsible construction.
The Role of ISO in Saudi Arabia’s Sustainable Building Movement
Saudi Arabia is experiencing a construction boom driven by projects like NEOM, The Line, and Red Sea Global. These mega-projects aim to set a global example in eco-friendly infrastructure, which makes ISO compliance even more essential.
By adopting ISO standards such as:
ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
ISO 21930 (Environmental Declaration of Building Products)
Companies can prove that their renewable construction materials are safe, durable, and environmentally responsible.
From Raw to Reliable: Why Certification Matters
Let’s imagine a Saudi company that produces bricks using recycled waste and desert sand. Their product is innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. However, without certification, it struggles to gain traction in both domestic and international markets.
Enter ISO. With ISO 14001 certification, the company can:
Demonstrate responsible environmental practices
Ensure consistent product quality with ISO 9001
Build consumer and government trust
This transformation isn’t just theoretical—it's happening across Saudi Arabia as part of a wider green revolution.
How ISO Helps Build Confidence in New Materials
In construction, safety and performance are non-negotiable. Renewable materials often face skepticism simply because they are unfamiliar. ISO Certification acts as a seal of trust, offering:
Proven environmental benefits via third-party audits
Traceability from sourcing to final product
Compliance with international green building codes
Builders, architects, and regulators can rely on ISO-certified products to meet rigorous performance standards, which accelerates their adoption across the Kingdom.
The ISO Certification Process for Green Construction Companies
Whether you're a manufacturer or builder, here’s a simplified roadmap to becoming ISO certified in Saudi Arabia:
Choose the Right ISO Standard: Most green construction companies start with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Conduct a Gap Analysis: Understand where your current practices fall short.
Documentation and Planning: Develop policies, procedures, and manuals aligned with ISO requirements.
Implementation: Train staff, integrate systems, and run pilot programs.
Internal Audit: Identify issues and fix them before external audits.
External Audit: Conducted by certification bodies like Popularcert.
Certification Issuance: Once approved, you receive a globally recognized ISO certificate.
Real Impact: ISO in Action in the Saudi Market
Several Saudi startups producing eco-concrete and recycled aluminum panels have found that ISO certification is a key enabler for scaling their business. Certified products:
Get listed in sustainable building catalogs
Are eligible for government construction projects
Attract international partners and funding
ISO has become the bridge between innovation and implementation in Saudi construction.

Finding the Right Concrete Contractor Near Me: What You Need to Know
When it comes to home improvement or commercial construction projects, few things are as foundational as quality concrete work. Whether you're building a new driveway, adding a patio, or pouring the foundation for a new home or commercial space, selecting the right contractor can make all the difference. If you've recently found yourself searching for a concrete contractor near me, you’re not alone — and you're in the right place to understand how to choose the best professional for the job.

Why Quality Concrete Work Matters
Concrete is more than just a mixture of cement, sand, gravel, and water. When mixed and poured properly, concrete becomes one of the most durable and long-lasting building materials available. But when done poorly, it can crack, shift, and deteriorate prematurely, leading to costly repairs and safety hazards.
Quality concrete work ensures:
Structural integrity for homes and buildings
Smooth and level surfaces for driveways and walkways
Weather resistance and durability
Enhanced property value and aesthetics
Given the importance of precision and experience in concrete applications, hiring a seasoned professional is crucial.
What Services Do Concrete Contractors Offer?
Before hiring a contractor, it’s important to understand the full range of services that many of them provide. These include:
Residential concrete projects: Driveways, patios, walkways, garage floors, and foundations.
Commercial concrete services: Parking lots, structural foundations, sidewalks, retaining walls, and curbing.
Decorative concrete finishes: Stamped concrete, stained concrete, and exposed aggregate for enhanced visual appeal.
Concrete repair and resurfacing: Fixing cracks, sealing surfaces, and restoring aged concrete areas.
No matter the size or scope of your project, hiring a professional ensures the job is done efficiently and safely.
Tips for Finding a Reliable Concrete Contractor Near You
With so many listings and ads online, it can be overwhelming to pick the right person for the job. Here are a few things to consider when looking for a concrete contractor near me:
1. Check Local Experience
A contractor familiar with local building codes, climate conditions, and soil types will be better equipped to handle your specific project. Always look for professionals who have worked extensively in your area.
2. Ask for References and Portfolio
Any reputable contractor should be able to provide references from past clients and a portfolio of completed projects. Reviewing these can give you a sense of their workmanship and attention to detail.
3. Get Multiple Estimates
Don’t settle for the first quote you receive. Collect several estimates to compare pricing, project timelines, and included services. Be wary of quotes that are significantly lower than others — they could indicate subpar materials or shortcuts in workmanship.
4. Verify Insurance and Licensing
Accidents can happen on a construction site. Ensure the contractor has valid liability insurance and is properly licensed to perform concrete work in your jurisdiction. This protects both you and the contractor.
5. Review the Contract Carefully
A good contractor will provide a clear, written contract outlining project scope, materials, timeline, costs, and warranties. Never begin work without a signed agreement.
Benefits of Hiring a Local Concrete Contractor
Hiring a local contractor comes with several advantages. They often have established relationships with suppliers, are familiar with permitting processes, and can be available more quickly in case of any issues or follow-up work. Additionally, choosing someone local supports your community’s economy.
Red Flags to Watch Out For
While many contractors are reputable and professional, it’s important to keep an eye out for red flags, such as:
Asking for full payment upfront
Vague or missing contracts
Poor communication or delayed responses
Lack of online presence or customer reviews
Taking the time to vet your contractor thoroughly can save you money and stress down the line.
How to Get Started
If you’re beginning your search for concrete work near me, start by compiling a list of potential contractors through online directories, local recommendations, or social media groups. Reach out for quotes, ask the right questions, and evaluate their past work before making a final decision.
Remember, the cheapest option isn’t always the best — quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and reliable service are worth the investment.
Conclusion
Whether you’re updating your patio or laying the foundation for a new home, the importance of hiring the right concrete contractor cannot be overstated. By doing your research and asking the right questions, you can ensure that your project is completed to the highest standard. So, the next time you search for a concrete contractor near me, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge to make an informed choice — and get the quality results you deserve.

What is Carpentry?Carpenters’ Tasks, Required Skills & List of Services
Carpentry contractors are professionals that help people make or repair objects out of wood. During the building and installation of kitchens, timber frames, cabinet manufacturing, concrete formwork, and other projects, they cut, shape, and build materials. In the past, carpentry professionals primarily worked with natural wood. However, as the market becomes more sophisticated, many additional materials are being used to create more exquisite furniture.
The duties of a carpenter differ depending on whether they work in rough or finish carpentry. Rough carpenters often work on large building projects outside, and they spend the most of their time conducting carpentry works outside. Installing wooden concrete forms for cement footings or pillars while building tall or large constructions like buildings or bridges are examples of projects.
Finish carpenters, on the other hand, work on smaller tasks. Cabinetry, furnishings, frames, and doors are examples of undertakings that can be similarly complicated. Finish carpenters construct decorative, intricate, and beautiful wood products for a wide range of applications. They must be detail-oriented and capable of working on a small scale. Interior designers, handymen, and remodelling contractors frequently work alongside carpenters.
Carpentry works with wood and other materials to build, install, and repair structures and fittings. They can be involved in a wide range of projects, from highway construction to cabinet installation at your home.
Carpenters can perform a wide range of carpentry services or specialise in one or two. Remodelling homes and other structures, for example, necessitates a diverse set of carpentry abilities. Depending on the opportunities, well-trained carpenters can switch from residential to commercial work.

Carpentry Handyman Tasks
Getting the proper materials via measuring, estimating, selecting, and obtaining them
Height, width, length, and other proportions are calculated.
Figuring out how to put the designs into action;
After analysing the required designs, calculating requirements (e.g. drawings, blueprints, or sketches)
Wooden constructions and frames are constructed, maintained, repaired, or demolished.
Various materials are cut, sanded, carved or moulded, then assembled.
Before pouring concrete footings, foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and beams, anchor bolts and embedded steel are installed.
Reading blueprints, making calculations, and laying out layouts
To ensure that the materials for the project have the correct dimensions, choose, measure, and mark them.
Structures and components consisting of wood, wood replacements, lightweight steel, and concrete are built, installed, and repaired.
Structures and sections of structures are being demolished as needed.
Debris removal to prevent workplace accidents
Joining and cutting
Following building codes, which are rules established by the governments.
Carpentry handyman must be a highly skilled and creative profession that necessitates meticulous attention to detail and vision. When carpenters enter an empty lot, they must imagine the type of construction that will be built there. If the task is to build cabinets for an empty room, they need to be aware of the best stain color, type of wood, and design to use.
Carpentry education can begin in school, and additional skills can be acquired through on-the-job training. Additionally, extra trade-related training can be obtained by attending trade or vocational training.
Apprentices may learn about safety, first aid, sketching, arithmetic, and other carpentry techniques in structured classroom lessons. They may gain knowledge of the connection between carpentry and other trades. They learn the relationship between carpentry and the other building crafts both in the classroom and on the job. Most of them may specialise in different areas, such as countertop construction, bespoke furniture construction, and cabinet construction.
Apprentices learn basic structural design and get familiar with common carpentry tasks such as layout, form building, rough framing, and outside and inside finishing while on the job. They also learn how to use the trade's tools, machines, equipment, and materials.
Apprenticeships are the most common way for carpenters to learn the trade. They also gain technical training, as well as safety and construction codes.
Basic Requirements of carpenters
Requirements
Description
Manual dexterity
Carpenters, who work with their hands and use saws, hammers, and other tools, require good eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
Attention to Detail
There are a lot of intricacies in carpentry work that carpenters need to pay attention to. Carpentry work necessitates meticulous attention to detail.
Problem-Solving Skills
Every work is different, and carpenters must be ready to adapt designs to account for any unexpected environmental concerns.
Strength and stamina
Carpenters will lift heavy materials such as lumber, cement, and other materials. Carpenters are on their feet for lengthy periods of time, typically outside in hot weather.
Carpenters, particularly supervisors and contractors, should be able to communicate effectively with clients. They must also be able to identify and estimate the amount of supplies required to finish a job, as well as determine the project length and cost.
The list of jobs that carpenters can do depends on each individual.
Custom Carpentry Work
Structure
Description
Doors
Carpenters may design, recommend, install, repair, and replace a variety of doors, ranging in material and functionality, depending on your requirements.
Windows
On top of installing windows and doing repairs on old windows, carpenters can also recommend additional accessories such as hinges and openers.
Renovations
If you are doing any minor types of renovation at home, a carpentry handyman is also able to provide inputs and aid in the process. A carpenter may assist with the installation of cabinets, the construction of a deck, the installation of new flooring, and a variety of other tasks.
Formwork
When concrete is being put on the land, formwork is required. Carpenters are typically qualified and most suited for planning, constructing, and removing formwork, as well as ensuring that it can support the structures.
Handrails
Staircases, balconies, patios, and decks all benefit from handrails to keep their structural integrity. Because handrails can be built of wood, carpenters can create a custom handrail to match your home's overall style and concept.
Building a deck
A carpenter can either build or assist specialists in the construction of a deck for your home. They may install personalised stairwells, ramps, and railings that are made to order.

With a better understanding of what carpentry contractors do and the skills they have, you can now engage the best carpentry contractors in Singapore that will suit your carpentry needs.

The Vizard Base: Exterior
Let’s do a deep dive on the Vizard base and its surroundings. I’m not going to list chapters as these are all from between chapter 214 and chapter 228 and listing them individually will get tedious. The first thing to know is that the building itself is one of many:
(It’s notable that the warehouses to the left of this image are seen from behind; more on that later.)
We see multiple identical warehouses. We can also see that its surroundings are quite messed up:
All the buildings here are in disrepair with broken windows and water damage. There’s trash and debris everywhere. We also get some shots of the Vizard’s building in particular which show notable damage to the metal sidings:
This one is from the back (you can tell because of the windows), while this one is from the front and shows an inconsistent amount of damage on the right-hand side:
I’ll be splitting off an investigation of the interior into a separate post as otherwise this will get ridiculously long, but we can say with high confidence that it’s one of many identical warehouses in an entirely abandoned industrial area. Without delving into the interior visually, we can tell that it’s mostly built of concrete (with concrete floors and pillars) with metal-frame exterior and sheet-metal siding. There is some reinforced concrete with rebar poking out (although this likewise isn’t wholly consistent panel to panel).
While there are historical examples of reinforced concrete industrial buildings in Japan, like those on Hashima Island which began construction in 1916, or the plant on Japan’s Rabbit Island (Ōkunoshima) which began construction in 1927, the odds of such structures existing in Karakura that far back are extremely low. We have a very good idea of where Karakura ought to be (around Koganei) and this area was incredibly underdeveloped in the first half of the 20th century. The population in 1920 was only 3,381, while in 1950 it was only 22,616. It truly boomed between 1960 and 1970 and dramatically slowed thereafter.
In other words: Karakura was the boondocks until the Japanese economic miracle. (And still is in many ways.) Building a large industrial facility there before WW2 is unlikely. This is confirmed by a 1947 map of WW2 strategic bombing, which essentially ignored the bulk of Western Tokyo because there was nothing of importance to the war effort there:
As well as some scholarship from here:
Japan first turned to concrete after the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake, in which 447,000 wooden houses burned. Depending on how it’s built, concrete isn’t necessarily more earthquake-proof than other materials (and earthquake building codes are still evolving today) but at least it won’t go up in flames. As it turns out, concrete is particularly well-suited to the region, offering thermal mass, resistance to moisture and versatility of form.
The devastation and subsequent Westernization of World War II ushered in a new wave of concrete while irrevocably changing Japan’s society and culture.
And here:
Reconstruction began in earnest in the late 1940s with onset of the Cold War serving as a major stimulus for Japanese economic recovery. In addition to new ferro-concrete buildings, bridges and roads, cement was necessary for river and coastline repair, tetrapods, embankments and dams.
The fact that Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, and Yoruichi can all easily walk to the Vizard base suggests it’s either in or around Karakura and probably no farther from Ichigo’s house than the high school is (which is across town). It need not necessarily be in Karakura, as Keigo and Mizuiro live in Naruki, Xcution was based there, and it’s where Aizen first sent White while looking to draw out Shinji and the Vizard as we see in chapter 529:
But it’s worth stating that Naruki itself is not necessarily the definitive location. Note Aizen’s words, “slowly but surely narrowing down the location”. Also consider what White was there to do: lure the Vizard out by murdering Shinigami and ostensibly eventually spiritually empowered humans. Naruki is the closest big population center, so it’s the ideal place to start a terror campaign.
It’s also worth thinking about why Aizen is only looking for the Vizard at this late time period. EBTR occurs on June 4 (per chapter 530) of somewhere between 1978 and 1982, most likely having happened in 1979. (We know Ichigo was born on July 15, 1985. The average human pregnancy is around 280 days, so he was conceived around September 8, 1984. Masaki went to university and presumably got a four-year degree. She also had the majority of her final year of high school left to complete. If we assume she graduated university in April of 1984, then she began in April 1980, having graduated high school in March, with that year having begun in April 1979. It is thus likely 1979 unless Masaki and Isshin waited a year, in which case it could be 1978, or Masaki dropped out of university, in which case it could be 1980, 1981, or 1982. It feels unlikely Masaki would drop out less than two years in.) Why is Aizen looking for them 78 or so years later?
Presumably he didn’t know where they were until then. Now ask yourself: when did Karakura become the Jūreichi? Yamamoto tells us in chapter 223:
Wouldn’t it make sense if the Vizard moving into Karakura... turned it into the Jūreichi, even if they were in stealth gigai? Given Karakura itself is the Jūreichi and hosts multiple Taichō-class individuals (Yoruichi, Tessai, Kisuke, and later Isshin) it makes the most sense to me that the arrival of the Vizard tipped the balance and either wholly or partly turned Karakura into the Jūreichi (with maybe Isshin being the last straw). Vizard Fukutaichō are equal to lower-end Taichō so that would make for 12 of them in one place with Isshin. There’s basically almost a whole other Gotei 13 living in the human world.
Stepping back for a moment, we also have a pretty good idea of what Karakura itself looks like, with a known rail line running through it. I’ve previously conjectured that the Vizard base is in Kinogaya, near the “remains of the Sukari building”. It’s sensible to build industry near rail and there’s obviously a derelict building there in the Sukari building. (This is distinct from Matsukura Hospital, where Don Kanonji filmed early in the manga.) SAFWY clarifies that the Sukari building has been demolished and is an empty lot. So, the Vizard base is not the Sukari building, but may be near it. Alternately, it is likely along the same railroad track leading by it, in Naruki or whatever’s on the other side of Karakura from Naruki.
Regardless, what we can say almost for certain is that the Vizard base is:
Within easy walking distance of the Kurosaki residence and Urahara Shōten
Post-WW2 based on its construction methods and materials
Part of a large industrial complex
Likely constructed along or near railroad lines.
From the early to middle part of the Japanese economic miracle (circa 1950 to 1955) given its location in an underdeveloped area
Was abandoned by the mid-to-late 1970s
Was occupied by the Vizard around 1979
It clearly did not exist in 1901, and the Vizard have not just been chilling in it for 100 years since they arrived on Earth and were stabilized, like Kisuke was with the Shōten. This raises some interesting questions, not least of which is: where were the Vizard between 1901 and 1979? Perhaps even more importantly, how long did it take Kisuke to stabilize the Vizard?
Given the fashion of most of them (Lisa’s uniform, Mashiro’s outfit, Hachigen’s suit, Rose’s ruffled shirt, Love and Hiyori’s tracksuits) seems stuck in the late 1970s, you can possibly imagine it took that long for them to be stabilized! But that seems really boring. Shinji’s 1960s-style Mod fashion also kinda points against it. What seems more likely is they settled on their “cover identities” after arriving at the base in 1979, and just stayed stuck like that thereafter (much like Kisuke did).
But that still leaves the question: where were they until then? What were they doing? Were they all together?

SladeJay with #10: Lifting their head up by their hair? Pretty please? ♥
This was a lot of fun to write, and a handy warm up for my writer’s block. Thank you for the prompt, and I hope you enjoy it ♥
10: Lifting their head up by their hair
There’s a knee in his back, a hand shoving his head into the grit of the rooftop, and a sniper rifle two feet past his straining hand. Jason shifts his bulk, gasping into the feeling of that knee digging deeper beneath the hitch of his shoulder blade, and concedes that he’s outdone.
“Smart move,” the man above him rumbles, gloved digits scraping over his scalp, tugging on his follicles uncomfortably enough to make Jason grunt his displeasure.
Jason huffs, tries to go limp in the hold, if only to spare the nerves flaring up his spine. Still curls his chin over his shoulder to say, “Didn’t take you for a contract poacher.”
The knee cants down to grind against the small of his back, and Jason keens a breathless laugh.
“Right,” he hisses, flecks of gravel catching beneath his nails when he drags them across the cement. “Mercenary honour code. So I guess you have another reason for pinning me to the ground other than stealing my payday?”
He gets a low chuckle for his snark. “Maybe I just like seeing you under someone for once.”
“For once is right,” Jason quips, and hears Slade scoff above him.
“Posture all you want, boy,” Slade murmurs, punctuating it with the fist around the strands of his hair tightening and the palm he’s got pinning Jason’s shoulder to the rooftop grinding against his muscle. The toes of Jason’s boots scrape uselessly over the grit as he hisses, tries and fails to find any leverage beneath the weight of the mercenary. “You and I both know it’s all talk.”
There are several things Jason could point out. Like how Slade had been the one to pin him to the ground when he’d swung the barrel towards his chest. Or how the man has floated through Jason’s periphery on the last few jobs he’s taken, never close enough to disrupt, but always near enough to send Jason’s skin prickling with his proximity.
Jason doesn’t point out any of that. Instead he reaches back to dig his calloused digits into Slade’s knee and grits out, “My mark is getting away.”
Slade considers the man in the apartment across the street, adjusting his tie in the foyer mirror, briefcase in hand. “You have two minutes before he reaches the sidewalk.”
Jason snarls and digs his fingers in a bit deeper. “I’m not shooting him in broad daylight on a busy sidewalk; are you insane? The risk of collateral-”
“Don’t miss,” Slade says without any particular investment.
Jason firmly resists the urge to roll his eyes. He’s come a long way in his training, churning his way through Talia’s long list of educational psychopaths with determined discipline. He doesn’t doubt he can make the shot. It’s just… “If you’re so certain, why don’t you take the shot?”
“Not poaching your contract, kid,” Slade reminds him in a gravelly timbre.
“Right,” Jason mutters, grunts when Slade shifts his weight slightly and digs into a fresh set of nerves. “Just proving you’re still the biggest pain in the ass on the East Coast.”
It earns him a huff of laughter that’s smothered beneath Jason’s own keen when Slade leverages his head back, fingers wound firmly through his locks. “Last time, I recall being specifically a pain in your ass, kid.”
“Not a kid,” Jason reminds him. His eighteenth birthday was last month. Talia let him decapitate a child molester for his trouble. “And that doesn’t count. I was drunk, and you were-”
Slade hums, tugging at his tender follicles with unconcerned malice. Jason whines and tries to shift again. Can’t tell if he’s arching into the feeling or away from it. “Tell me you didn’t beg me to stay.”
“You didn’t stay,” Jason reminds him bitterly. “You bailed before the sun hit the damn skyline.”
“Had a job,” Slade murmurs.
“Don’t care,” Jason hisses, shifts his grip higher on Slade’s leg, until he can reach some of the more sensitive skin on his inner thigh.
“Kid,” Slade warns.
“Talia send you this time too?” Jason demands, and the pause before Slade answers confirms not only his suspicions about this encounter, but their last few as well. Anger swells and dissipates into disappointment. “She does know I can take care of myself, right? That’s the point of this training.”
“Right,” Slade agrees, shifts the grip on Jason’s shoulder to hook further down, thumb driving into the skin over his hip. Jason exhales shakily and leans into the tug on his hair this time. “Because letting yourself get pinned to a rooftop is taking care of yourself.”
“Fuck you,” Jason garbles around a breathless laugh, and hisses when his scalp flares in sharp pain. “Maybe I like it,” he adds with a bolt of rogue confidence.
Slade pauses, but masks the surprise with a thoughtful hum that doesn’t fool Jason for a second. “What was that, boy?”
“I said,” Jason repeats, arching into that hold again, “maybe I like it. Maybe I was waiting for you. Letting you get close.”
“Is that so,” Slade says, amused.
“Yeah. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That kind of thing.” He leverages off Slade’s thigh, lets his palm flatten against the rooftop by his own hips to grant him some stability. The knee in his back is starting to worry a bruise into the muscle. “Makes you easier to take out.”
There’s definitely a smile in his tone when Slade murmurs, “And you’d like to take me out, would you?”
“On a date, with a bullet,” Jason offers, lackadaisical. “Whichever tickles your fancy.”
When Slade doesn’t answer him but to hum a low note, Jason huffs and turns his head beneath the grip in his hair.
“Come on, that was a pretty good innuendo. You can’t tell me someone’s asked you out on a rooftop with a knife to your thigh before.”
Slade mirrors his huff and straightens an inch. “Happens more often than you’d think, kid. And besides, I don’t see a knife.”
“You wouldn’t,” Jason counters, and slips the blade free from the holster by his hip. Cants it up and digs it sharply into the meat of Slade’s femoral before he can pull back. “Too busy staring at my ass.”
Slade hums then, and Jason watches him glance over at the discarded rifle. Doesn’t make any sort of inclination towards it before his eye flickers back down to the teen and those fingers relinquish his hair. “Hurry up and take your shot before he gets to the parking garage.”
Jason rolls up to his hands and knees when those grips release him, dragging the rifle closer and checking it over as he resets his field stand. Maybe lingers a little longer than necessary with his ass in the air before he lays flush to the concrete and handles the scope. “Eager, aren't you?”
“Kid,” Slade warns, and Jason doesn’t take any longer than he needs to align the crosshairs down the eyepiece and fire.
There’s a scream from the pavement below them, quickly joined by more, as Jason glances back up at the approving mercenary with a smirk.
“So, breakfast?”

wild animal (livin’ like a fine young cannibal)

pairing: emma swan/killian jones rating: t (maybe light m) wc: 2200 and some change
An abandoned warehouse wouldn't be Emma's first choice for a date location. Killian finds a way to convince her otherwise.
work has been stressing me out and i have a million and one things to work on (i’m looking at you csss part 3!) but this crawled its way out of my brain, massively enabled by @darkcolinodonorgasm and further encouraged by @artistic-writer (who made this beautiful cover! isn’t it great? i’ve never had a fic cover before! i’m still emotional about it). thank you, ladies! this is essentially the blood rave scene from blade only with less violence and more kissing.

He’d told her to dress, as he so bluntly phrased it, good enough to eat. She’d tried her best to adhere to the code, pairing her favourite leather mini skirt and a thin camisole with fuck-me heels and fishnets. She’d foregone a jacket, knowing that Killian would lend her his if the chill became too much. The way his leather hangs off her, arms just slightly too long but still soft and worn, is one of the pros of having a boyfriend impervious to the cold. Regardless, the main appeal of her outfit isn’t practicality, it’s the fact that at least three of the souvenirs Killian has blessed her with are proudly on show—one at the juncture of her neck, another on her inner wrist, and another just peeking from beneath the hem of her skirt. They catch in the streetlights, glowing temporarily in the luminescence as her Uber trails the city streets, en route to the address he’d texted. There are others, countless others, along her ribs, her breasts, her thighs, faint scars she’d asked him for, a curse on his breath every time she did.
Emma never thought she’d be into it, the territorial possession that comes with having a vampire for a lover, that is. In the past, she rebuffed it, not willing to be taken as anyone’s property, human or otherwise. She’d told Killian the same, at first, unafraid of the fangs he flashed with each smirk. He respected her wishes, kept his distance, with the promise of forever in his eyes and one night on his lips. Over time, something about him drew her in, no glamour or coercion, just… something else, a kind of other that intrigued her, in the depth of his eyes and that knowing smile.
Then again, she’s always had a thing for older guys.
Three arduous weeks later, she’d fucked him in the bathroom stall of a club she can’t remember the name of and delighted in the awestruck look on his face as she sank to her knees before him.
It’s a fond memory.
And it was never just one night.
The warehouse is shady at best, murderous at worst, and Killian greets her at the entrance. Everything about him is appealing, from the artful dishevelment of his hair and the dark silk of his shirt, right down to the snug fit of his jeans and that same promise in his eyes. Eternity looks fucking amazing on him, and he knows. At this point, he could wear nothing but a bedsheet and he’d still be the most attractive being she’s ever seen—in fact, she might prefer that. Maybe later, if they make it home.
“I see you took the dress code to heart, love.” He drawls, his eternal smirk present, pulling her in by the waist for a searing kiss. Searing is an understatement, really. Each time he brings her in like this, close enough that she can taste his hunger—iron and ash—masked by the sweetness of rum just before their lips touch, she can feel parts of herself float away. The tensions and stresses from her day dissipate against his mouth, lost in each breath between them. Killian is a fantastic kisser and, as her tongue catches on the point of a fang, she knows that he knows it.
“Hello to you too.” Fighting off breathlessness, Emma pulls away. They won’t make it to whatever it is he has planned if they keep kissing like that. The urge to call another Uber back home already far too prevalent in her mind. It would be so easy, like every other time, just falling into bed with him.
He laughs, keeping his hand at her waist but allowing space between them. “I missed you.”
“You saw me this morning,” She adds, a smile playing at her lips. Instead of pulling away and taking his hand like she usually does, Emma decides against taking him up on the offer of space. “I’ve been wondering about your date night plan all day.”
“It’s... unconventional, to say the least.”
She shrugs, lacing their fingers together. “So are we.”
“Right you are, lass.” Killian’s smile takes her by surprise. It’s not his usual, cocky, self-assured grin. It’s pride, admiration and something warmer that settles in her stomach when she catches it. She pushes it aside, saving it for later as Killian meets her for another brief kiss. “Shall we?”
The warehouse itself is empty, a cavernous space with a creaking steel frame and concrete floors. Each step she takes causes an echo; each breath leaves a puff of condensation in the frigid air. Killian doesn’t seem swayed by this and walks them both across the expanse to a giant metal door, taking the rusted lever in hand and twisting it open with minimal exertion. It groans, hinges protesting as it creeps open, to reveal the cacophony of noise behind it. Thudding bass and warped vocals swelling and falling in time to the heavy beat. Upon entry, they’re met with writhing bodies, lost in the rhythm, crammed into what was once probably an industrial standard cold store. Despite everything, they make way for Killian to enter.
Suddenly, Emma feels decidedly overdressed.
“A rave?” She has to shout to make herself heard, although, come to think of it, Killian probably has no trouble hearing her at all, regardless of the party going on around them. “I never expected this to be your kind of thing.”
He winks then, before pulling her against him, his chest to her back. Emma’s breath catches in her throat, a moan prepared to escape at a second’s notice. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Swan.”
Like that, pressed together so close she can feel every breath he takes, she allows herself to get lost, the white noise numbing her senses to their basest needs. Him. Each time she pushes back, he rocks forward, eliciting the most delicious feelings from deep within. It’s intoxicating, being with him. Not the blood, nor the sex. Just being. Waking up to his touch, falling asleep to his breathing, making coffee, getting breakfast, talking, dancing—the small things. It’s always the small things. He treats her with veneration, a kind of reverence that no one else has, and—as much as she wishes she could deny it, that she could walk away from all this and still be the same old Emma—he’s changed her so irreversibly, she’s not sure what her life would be without him in it.
They’re being watched—no, she’s being watched. Eyes follow them—her as she moves, letting the music take her wherever it will. It courses through her like a second heartbeat, and the voyeurism of it all, familiar and unfamiliar faces flitting back to them—her as Killian trail’s his hands all over, his lips fused to her neck—it’s a heady mix. Whatever he’s got planned, whatever happens next, Emma knows that she’ll be sore in the morning. In the best way, of course. Freshly fucked and freshly drained.
The music never seems to change, the pulse of it thrumming beneath her skin until she can feel the drop coming, inching closer until it reaches its peak. Her stomach falls along with it. He whispers in her ear, but she can’t make sense of his words, falling deaf in favour of the music around them. The caress of his lips on her lobe has her arching back, pressing her ass against him in a tease. She can feel how ready he is, solid against her as she grinds back into him.
The guttural snarl, she can feel, reverberating through his chest on a silenced down beat. His hands go to her wrists, grasping them and tracing his fingertips up her thighs and over her stomach, devilishly slow, one catching over her nipple as he passes over her chest, continuing higher and higher until they’re held above her head, high in the air, alongside everyone else’s on the dancefloor. The music builds and builds and builds, heavy and palpable between them, cementing everyone together in one single goal: to dance. Killian presses a kiss to her ear, tongue darting out to tease as the music pauses for a second in the build-up to yet another drop.
“Don’t be afraid.”
Then the world goes red and she screams.
Cheers erupt from around them as blood pours from the ceiling, sprinkling over the patrons below like a downpour after a drought. The crowd synchronise, palms to the sky, heads tilted back, mouths wide open and jumping along to the discordant thumping as they get their fill of the life source they’re being drowned in. It tastes like iron and chemicals, tacky and cool to the touch, nothing like what Killian had described when he tasted her. He’d compared her to fine wine, to love and sex and everything he missed of being human. Her hands, still held in the air by his grasp, are lined with rivulets of red, each one making its path wherever gravity may take it. The taboo of it has her shivering. Pulling her wrists free and turning to look upon his face, she places her palms on his chest.
It’s chaos.
He’s smiling. A wicked smile, white teeth and dark eyes. He could kill her right now. The recognition of that immediate danger only makes it so much better when he steps closer, eradicating the distance between them.
Fuck.
She wants him, needs him, and when he leans to lick a stripe up her cheek to catch the dripping ichor there, she moans, losing herself to the sensation. He’s a monster and she can’t get enough. In all her life, she’d never anticipated that she’d enjoy such publicly lewd displays of affection but, as Killian laps at the pool of blood gathered above her clavicle, she could not give less of a shit about the hundreds of prying eyes in the room. It’s euphoric, feeling him hard against her as he feeds, taking his fill from the blood trailing over her skin. The familiar lick of her arousal curls low in her belly, demanding to be felt.
She can't stand it—the absence of his lips against hers, tracing over every piece of exposed flesh except the place she wants him most, the chill it brings, the pleasure it ignites within her. There's nothing quite like it. It’s infuriating, maddening, and it reduces her to nothing more than a whimpering mess as his tongue makes its way back up her neck and along her jaw. He comes to a halt there, pausing and pulling back to take her in. He’s fucked, hair soaked through in the initial pandemonium of the bloodbath, eyes glossy and intense but not as dark as they had been earlier, his ocean blue peering through—it only goes to prove the effect he sustenance he’d laved from her flesh is having. He’s covered in blood, completely drenched with it and he’s the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. Even like this, surrounded by creatures of nightmare and legend, she can’t help but crave him. With lips parted, he leans in to give her what she desires.
“I fucking love you.” It’s a whisper against her lips, punctuated with fangs tugging on the plump skin there and—well, Emma can’t help herself. It’s not the first time he’s said it and it won’t be the last. Killian Jones has walked the earth for three centuries. He kisses with purpose, fucks with passion and loves unconditionally and Emma Swan, with almost three decades under her belt, can’t find the words to say it back. Not yet. Instead, she throws her arms around his neck, finding his lips with a kiss as the blood rain falls around them and the tantalizing beat drives the crowd.
The kiss is wild; deep, needy and feral in its urgency. It’s fangs and moans and tongues and teeth. It’s messy, the cloying copper taste of blood still lingering between them. It’s perfect.
Before Emma can even think to protest, Killian’s hoisting her up, lifting until her legs are securely wrapped around his waist. Tonight was not the night to wear a skirt but Emma can’t bring herself to regret it. She can already feel it riding up, threatening to expose her ass to the crowd. It’s a blessing she’d opted to wear underwear at all, especially knowing that Killian has a habit of tearing them off in his haste to get to her core. The sharp scratch of his fangs against her bottom lip snaps them both out of their lustful haze for just long enough for Emma to know without words what it is he wants. His gaze, hungry as ever, flits to her chest.
Her shirt’s gone in seconds, torn off by her own impatient hands and his dexterous ones. It comes away in two pieces, thrown aside without a care, revealing the black lace of her bra beneath. It had cost her thirty dollars but, sat at his waist, skin tinted red with the sanguine rainfall, Emma can't bring herself to care. The caress of sharp fangs against the swell of her breast, edging her closer and closer to madness yet grounding her at the same time, tethering her to him, is almost too much. She needs the bite just as much as he does. The call of it strikes deep in her bones, screaming for him. She used to be ashamed of it, fearing just how much she enjoys his deadly kiss, but those memories are all but dust now. In their place, only want.
When he takes one look at her, right before his enamelled canines pierce her skin, she's lost to him.

Summer of 89′ | 003
Read from the start | Read on AO3
There was an undertone of bleach in the air. Something that didn’t hit Chloe the second she walked through the sliding doors. Instead, it was gradual. Creeping up the back of her throat and clouding her lungs until she couldn’t recognize it at all. It used to bother her, the scent of bleach.
Everything was too clean in the hospital for her liking. She had grown up in a home that wasn’t afraid to get dirty. Mud was tracked against the kitchen floor when a good heaping of rain was dumped on their ranch property. The tub was rimmed with a line of black after every bath as a child- because dirt was natural. Messes were natural, or at least they were when it was anywhere but here.
Chloe closed her umbrella, letting the stray drops of water slide down her hand and past the cuff of her jacket until the cold streak touched her elbow. She dug her boots into the black mat right past the doors, leaving behind the very dirt she was self-conscious enough not to leave tracked against the Hospital lobby.
It was relatively desolate considering the full moon hung in the sky like a golden ornament on a Douglas fir. It wasn’t peak flu season, and Chloe thanked the higher powers for that. But that didn’t’ stop everyone from faking coughing fits and begging her to test for a fever one more time because their temperature was sure to have spiked over the last two minutes.
She punched the code into the worn-down pad next to the second set of doors and was met with another long white corridor lined with shy wooden doors. The sound of machines whirring, and IV’s dripping carried on like white noise. She walked with confidence.
“Doctor-“The voice echoed against the walls as one of her latest interns trotted up next to her. Her magenta scrubs stuck out like a beacon in a white sea. She quickly flipped the metal chart back to reveal a paper. “I’m so glad you’re here. I was wondering if you could take a look at the medications given to 207. Doesn’t seem right to me.”
She was annoyed. She would have been annoyed at anyone at this moment, reminding her of a job she kept for one summer at a sandwich shop. Customers came so frequently that that same disgruntled edge of dissatisfaction pulled at her. Still, she nodded and glanced at the chart.
Sixty-four-year-old Damion Coves. A repeat offender of the Emergency room, once or twice a month if Chloe could remember. A strong reason she had given the patient to her Intern in the first place. Sometimes it was a broken arm, but most of the time it was in relation to a back problem he refused to fix. He had worked as a fisherman for countless years, hauling product and gutting sea life.
“Hydrocodone and acetaminophen?” Chloe mumbled, as she furrowed her brow and looked up at the doe-eyed girl.
“Yes, Ma’am. He’s been complaining about the pain escalating. Demerol hasn’t done the job in quite some time and by the looks of it, he’s refusing the surgery.”
Chloe hummed, “He doesn’t like his odds against the possibility of being paralyzed from the waist down. Switch these to Propoxyphene. Damion Coves is an alcoholic, the second you pump him full of those and send him on his way he’ll stumble off the docks.” She shoved the metal chart back into her hands “Get to know your patient. You can smell the bourbon on his breath from a mile away.”
She continued her journey until she made it to her office. It was three corridors deep, surrounded by cool cement and filled with old copy boxes that had case files. Ways she would teach her interns with gallbladder removals and that one stomach-churning patient who was almost sawed in half at the old mill.
Chloe breathed in the musty scent and flicked on the light. Her desk was the only clear thing about the office- despite her working here for four years, having the place all to herself. There was one picture of her girls hidden away in the bottom compartment of her filing cabinet. Her computer was covered in yellow sticky notes, and a nametag rested in the center of the surface.
“Ilene” She scoffed before pulling on the white coat slung over the chair and clipping the metal to the collar.
Her rounds started in a few minutes, she left the stuffy office and walked back into the sterilized hallway. She made it the nurse’s desk without another interruption and grabbed the stack of metal charts left by the attending on first shift.
“How are you tonight, Chloe?” her breath caught, she was halfway through the notes on Mrs. Robinson’s chart. She silently cursed herself for not hearing the heels against the linoleum. “Ilene.”
She drew in a deep breath, “Oh, absolutely fantastic, love these overnights.”
“fewer people.”
Chief Mary Saxe leaned against the counter next to Chloe, a smug look on her face. She had pulled her hair from the usual bun and let the curls move over her shoulders in waves. She was graying but in the most flawless way possible. Her jacket was pressed and her shirt was tucked in with professionalism despite the ungodly hour.
She had a point. It was quiet at night, visiting hours had faded away to nothing and the only people Chloe had to deal with were those listed in the charts, and whoever found themselves in the ER with appendicitis or a fever too high to register.
The two of them started walking towards the front of the corridor again, a round of silence plaguing them both before Chloe spoke. “You don’t have to babysit me, I’m fine.”
“I’m going to pretend I believe you.” She stalled before grasping Chloe’s elbow and bringing her to a halt. “I’ve known you for a hell of a long time, practically watched you grow up. You always get weird around today.”
Chloe swallowed roughly “You don’t have to worry about me. I’m here to do my job. Save lives and kick ass. Your motto, remember?”
“No, yes, I remember just. I’m speaking to you as a friend, not a colleague here. If you need to leave, I understand.”
“And I’m telling you as your friend, I’m okay. In fact, I would rather be around other people then shut in my room binge-watching the bachelor with a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream. So, can we please get on with rounds and just drop this?”
Doctor Saxe stared at her for a few moments, trying to figure out if Chloe was being genuine or not. She eventually decided that it didn’t matter if she was. Both of them continued on their way and made it to the first patient behind curtain number one.
It always felt like a game show to her. She never knew what would be behind the thin veil of plastic. Of course, she could always look at the chart before she went in. But that would take the fun and surprise out of it all.
The same intern that had approached her earlier about Damion seemed to have done all the heavy lifting. The little boy that sat on the bed directed his strained attention. His hair was adhered to his head with rainwater and mud. His arm was being placed carefully into a splint, and his mother was pacing a hole into the linoleum.
She stopped mid-stride and turned her hawked expression to the two doctors. “oh thank god, this girl looks too young to be a doctor.”
“Ma’am, I assure you, Stephanie has gone through all four years of medical school.” Chloe said slowly “And she’s doing a fantastic job. Mind telling me how this happened?”
She quickly forgot her anger towards the doctor, switching the string of her own son instead. “I told him not to go outside. Said that there was a storm coming and it was best to stay out of that old treehouse of his. But he never listens. The wood got too slick and he fell, broke his arm.”
She nodded and Doctor Saxe watched the situation unfold. She stayed silent, keeping a lingering eye on Chloe more than anything. Her arms were crossed and Chloe minded herself, directing her next questions towards where the kid sat and kicking his feet.
“Anything else hurt, little man?”
“Nothing does.” The mother answered in a clipped tone instead. Cutting off her son completely.
Doctor Saxe capped her hands together once and boasted a smile. “Okay! Stephanie, ma’am, why don’t’ we go out into the hallway to discuss how to take care of that cast. I know it’ll be hard to keep it dry in this weather- but we’re going to show you how.”
Chloe mouthed a thinly veiled ‘thank you’ as the woman and her intern cleared the room completely so she could do the rest of the exam. She slid on violet gloves and pulled a stool over to the young boy. He seemed comfortable, if not sleepy from today’s events. There was a thin line of blood on his chin and another on his forehead.
“Did you hit your head at all, when you fell?”
He gestured no “I don’t think so, I heard my arm break. Johnny broke his arm at the ice rink two years ago and it sounded the exact same. I didn’t think it would hurt that bad.”
“Oh?” Chloe gave him a smile, gently getting a better look at the lacerations “Yeah, it’s not the greatest feeling in the world but you know what? You’re very brave for getting through it. And look at that amazing cast you have! Is blue your favorite color?”
“Yes! And look, someone already signed it!”
Chloe lifted her eyebrows. Stephanie had just been finishing it up when they walked into the room. His mother must have worked fast, maybe even kept a sharpie in her purse wedged between some hard candies and wet wipes.
“see.”
Dread owned Chloe Beale in that moment. Directed all of her thawed blood to rush past her ears and her vision to fog up. She stared at the words scribbled in silver sharpie against the polymer-coated cast. The lettering was neat and precise, too well thought out to be ignored. Too concrete to be imagined.
Summer of 89, remember?

A Guest Needed To Be Fed.
"That's right run you motherfucker!!" I yelled while bending over and placing my hands on my knees, the humid night not alleviating the pain in my lungs as I gasped for air. He'd run me a merry dance, the only reason I'd slowed? I was sure my ankle snapped on the last rooftop jump to the warehouse floor, giving a small wiggle of the joint confirmed it as a pain shot up through my shin bone and down through my foot. I collapsed on the asphalt. My life wasn't supposed to be like this; I wasn't sure what it was supposed to be. I could have been a fighter pilot, a fireman, hell I could have been a door to door salesman. Instead, I sat here, removing my boot on the floor in a derelict warehouse. Fucking vampires. Training sucked, I fucking hated it, I'd vowed never to become this from the first day I found out what 'this curse' was. Stalking dark places to put an end to obscure things, it was a damn movie script, not a life. This had not been on my "List Of Things To Do Before You Reach 40.'
There are few milestones in a boy's life he isn't aware of until it happens. The first time you wake up with your dick rock hard, and the damn thing won't go down regardless of what you do. The first time you wake up with your dick cemented to the bed sheets and anything else within the crotch region. When you turn eighteen, your father hands you a gilded gold book, and a card with some words on that are in some language you've never seen, let alone spoken. The first two I'm not even going to get into, let me tell you if you've got a son for fuck sake explain it to him before it happens. Therapy is expensive. The third one just happened to be me; I was the lucky one. So my father told me.
The book. It's history. The history of Hunters, yes it says that on the front. Imaginative, I know. Imagine being an eighteen-year-old, not a very mature one at that. I still laughed when Grandma farted every Christmas, how was I supposed to know at the time that 'fart humour' wouldn't go away. I was told to read it. I thought the Bible was big, this far outweighed anything I'd seen before. Two years it had taken me to read every page, every handwritten note in the margins, even the neatly scribbled out parts which took some deciphering, I should have sent it off to those women who broke codes in the war. Here I was eighteen years later, sitting on my ass with a throbbing foot. Fuck. My. Life. My fist slammed into the ground with frustration; asphalt started to spray into the air as I continued. I wiggled my foot, gave a grunt, stopped pummelling the ground and slipped my foot back into the boot.
"Okay, you fucking asshole, I'm coming for you." I leapt to my feet, checked my guns, the sword that sat across my back swayed slightly as I took off into the night. The vampire hadn't tried to run too far, dumb fucking shit, wasn't like he needed to stop because he was out of breath. I dropped down from the balcony I'd been on; after I'd run along the rooftops. It was an easy way to get around and to stop from being seen by an average human. I released the baton I kept in my boot as I hit the floor, skimming his knuckles with the wood; in return, he gave me a sneer. The vampire adjusted his stance then blurred so quickly he seemed to disappear. I stood stock-still, listening carefully, I could hear his footsteps as he began circling me, silence replaced the steps, and as it did I dived out the way before his hand connected to any part of my body, twisting mid-air as I hit out with my foot. My foot came to a stop as I felt the vibration down my leg of the hit. The vampire stumbled and by doing so gave me the chance to bring the baton closer to him as I swung, he didn't let it phase him, his arm came up, and his fist hit my face. His foot followed and hit me in the ribs, I grunted as the whole inside of my body shook. I spat out the blood that had filled my mouth from the punch while adjusting my stance. I held the vampire's gaze as he bared his fangs, then dropped to my knees. I brought my hand up over my shoulder and pulled out the sword which sat there, as my knees hit the floor I brought the sword up, the blade sunk up to the hilt into the vampires groin, it wouldn't kill him, but it would slow him, as I quickly stood I brought the sword with me, splitting the vampire from crotch upwards. My arm removed the sword from his body, the vampire hissed at me, but I cut that short by bringing down the sword onto its neck, slicing through the skin and bone like butter. His head rolled across the ground as I caught my breath. Bruised but not too bad, nothing I knew wouldn't heal quickly I collected the head and threw it with the body, pulling a lighter from my pocket I set the fucking remains on fire and headed home.
I'd come across the empty nuclear bunker on one of my scouting missions; now it was my home, and it held everything dear to me. I needed to clean up, a change of clothes from my excursion and encounter with the vampire. So that's where I headed. The place was desolate, an empty field, nothing around for miles, I had no clue as to whom owned the bunker, so I'm guessing if there had been a nuclear war the stupid fuck wouldn't have made it here anyway. The baron walls, the labyrinth of tunnels, even the cold water, everything had become familiar quickly, also wandering around in the partially lit passageways had become second nature. The slap of my bare feet echoed around the concrete walls as I made my way from the bathroom to my bedroom, my ankle now perfectly healed, all bruises, cuts evaporated as though they didn't exist in the first place.
An urge pulled at me as I walked passed the table set in the corner of the room, my fingers reached out and touched the book that sat in pride of place, for a second I stood looking down at it, images running rampant through my mind. I allowed myself to relish in those images of carnage, horror and pain, inhaling a gasp as I felt the elation from the perpetrator of those images. I enjoyed the feelings of excitement; goosebumps ran wild over my body, a surge of sexual desire wrapped around me, my dick hardened, a moan fell from my mouth. I removed from fingers from the book, as quickly as the feelings had overcome me they ceased, with a glance I reached out again, but quickly pulled my fingers back, the emotions were becoming addictive. I couldn't recall when the words had started to affect me, but they had. The descriptions are written of what had been done, and I felt every one of them, the agony, the exhilaration, the rage, the stimulation of causing pain and the need to receive it, the claustrophobic feeling of being closed off.
I grabbed a pair of shorts and pulled on a t-shirt, slipping my feet into my unlaced boots. I left my room. The corridor I took went on for miles; it's what made it the perfect place to my guest. My footsteps echoed in halls of silence; the massive six-foot thick lead door opened much more fluidly than you'd expect as I scanned my palm. The room I entered dark. As soon as I flicked the switch light shone down into the middle of the room, there hung on a cross, was the remnants my first demon. He was still alive, just. The radio in the corner of the room exploded to life. I had police radios in every place I used. There was a body, I had to get there first.
"You'll have to wait." The demon looked at me with unfocusing, half-lidded eyes. As I left the room, the lights switched themselves off, and the door closed.
Over time I've come to accept what I am. I even have to admit that I get off hunting down the fucking things that hide in shadows and go bump in the night. That doesn't mean there still aren't times I wish I was in my bed wrapped up, warm and not on the streets at three am. Fucking bitterly cold winters nights are the worst. The street lights here were out, some clever little bastard taking potshots I guessed. The cloudless sky was allowing me to by moonlight; I'd take what I could get. At least I couldn't read all the graffiti on the walls. This area was mainly filled with filthy warehouses and factories, the odd house dotted here and there, how did people live here? Grunting at the mere thought. The freezing wind slapped me around the head as I rounded a corner, lifting the collar on my coat and slipping my hands in my pocket, as I stride towards my destination. I reached the back of one of the warehouses quick enough, the silhouette of a body coming into view. "Motherf..." My voice cut off as I came face to face with the body. Bending I took a closer look. A human male, late forties I guessed by his weathered features. His hands had been situated as though praying, and there was no blood on his clothes. The blood instead was making a vast pool near his neck; actually, it was pooling just where his head should be. Did I mention his head wasn't on his body? I stood and moved around his headless corpse. Again I stooped to my haunches scrutinising the skin on his neck; this wasn't a clean wound, some sort of serrated edge had been used. Before I could get any more information from the dead man, sirens screeched with accompanying blue lights coming into view. Standing up, I threw myself at the wall, scaling it to the top. As if I didn't have enough to deal with already. The dead body I'd left behind was an enigma; it wasn't a vampire that had removed that head. The only solace to the whole situation was that the head stayed placed next to the praying corpse, at least the cops would be able to identify the body and give his family some peace. I was still antsy when I got back to the bunker. My muscles twitched with energy, my whole system was still on overdrive, and there were only a few things that could sedate this feeling. Hunting was out as the police were everywhere, I'd already been to the gym three times today, that left one thing. I didn't shower or change before wandering the maze of tunnels in the bunker; I didn't need to. What was waiting for me in one of the rooms didn't care and neither did I. Standing before the door; a small grin curled on my lips, I closed my eyes, allowing the energy to run through my body, the adrenaline to pump into every muscle I had. Placing my palm on the touchpad on the wall, it flared to life, the sounds of the locking mechanism opening echoed down the desolate corridor.
"Kaden." The voice that greeted me a little shocked, giving away he wasn't prepared to see me. I gave just a nod in reply to my name. The male's eyes honed in on my face; I heard the small gulp as he swallowed and stood up.
The tanned skin of his wrist looked perfect inside the black wrist straps, his legs held open by the same devices too, all the straps connected to chains which gave him a little leeway to move, for now. Standing in front of the naked, chained male, the leather strips from the whip I had in my hand trailing on the floor beside me. My fingers tightened around the handle as my arm lifted, the sound of the whip hitting his skin heaven to my ears, new welts appeared with each lash, the muscular, tanned abs now zigged zagged with exquisite patterns of pain. The male's dick had hardened and was standing to attention; bringing the whip further down his torso to incorporate his hips, bringing his dick the attention it deserved with leather, his arms and legs now pulling against the straps that had him in place. Sweat was starting to roll down my back, my dick pressing against the confines of the jeans I wore. Yanking the shirt I wore over my head in one pull but refrained from removing anything else, the pain he was in didn't stop him looking at me salaciously. I dropped the whip to the floor, moving forward undoing the straps holding his hands in place, my fingers reached up grabbing his hair and as I did his legs gave way, he knelt in front of me, giving a small nod, he knew what to do. His welted arms reached up, my fingers still entangled in his hair, his shaking fingers undid my jeans, and as he did my dick sprung from them, his tongue sprang from his lips, licking at the head of my dick. His mouth formed a perfect 'o', and his cheeks indented as he sucked my full length into his mouth, the tip of my dick passed the back of his throat as his hands reached up to my ass, his fingers digging into my skin making my hip thrusts harder. My hand continued to pull his hair back and forth in rhythm with me, now and again I'd stop with my dick deep in his throat, enjoying the warmth of his throat and the gagging sound. I fell forward, one arm reaching out to the wall to which his legs were still chained. My hips bucked wildly and unhindered as my balls tightened, I could feel the throbbing of my dick against his sucked-in cheeks, my ab muscles tightened, my fingers dug into the brick as I shot my load down that sweet throat of his. He stayed on his knees, not removing my dick from his throat, his tongue licking me clean. My attention now refocused elsewhere as my hand reached up to just above where he'd been stood, I retrieved what I wanted. My fingers reached down and wrenched his hair, his head springing back, forcing him to look up at me, baring his neck, the smile I gave him had no warmth in it at all. I brought down the knife I had picked up, slicing across the soft skin, I slipped my dick out of his mouth before it closed, the gargling sound he made as he gasped for air arousing me again. Blood squirted from the slash covering me, and as my fingers released his hair, I took a step back, and his body fell to the floor with a thud. I had to feed the demon I kept somehow.

Can You Put a Wood Stove in a Detached Garage?
A wood-burning stove is a practical and beautiful addition to any space around the home. They can be (and often are) fitted into garages, sheds, summer houses, caravans and even greenhouses.
As energy costs soar, many home owners are looking at ways to cut costs. And installing a wood stove in your detached garage could be one way to do that. But can you put a wood stove in a detached garage? Yes, you can install a wood stove in a detached garage, but it is crucial to follow proper safety guidelines and local building codes to ensure safe operation.
But like anything, it depends on what you intend to use the stove for and factors relating to the existing specifications of your garage.
There are many things about garages that make them a great fit for wood burners. But there are definitely things to consider before you instal one.
Wood-burning or multi-fuel stoves may be a great choice for your garage and lifestyle or they may not be the best option.
So let’s look more closely at installing wood stoves in detached garages.
Can I put a Wood Stove in my Detached Garage?
Put simply, yes, you can instal a wood stove in your detached garage. The cement floor of most garages makes them an ideal base for stoves. And depending on where you source your timber, wood stoves are often the cheapest way to heat a garage.
In some ways, detached garages are better than attached garages when it comes to installing wood stoves. But there are pros and cons.
For example, detached garages won’t retain or share the heat through the walls of your home in the way an attached garage would. But detached garages pose less of a threat to the rest of your property in the event of a fire caused by your wood burner.
You may not need planning permission to instal a wood-burning stove in the UK but it’s always best to check with your local planning office.
Plus, there are regional and national restrictions on wood-burning stoves. In England, you must make sure your wood burner uses smokeless fuel or emits less the 3g per hour of smoke in smoke-controlled areas.
And if you live in a listed property, you will need to consult your local authority for permission or advice about how to instal a wood burner sensitively.
Nothing beats getting a professional in if you want to instal a wood stove in your detached garage. But if you want to instal your wood burner yourself, we’ve got some tips.
How to install a wood burner in your garage:
Preliminary Measurements
Check the manufacturer’s guidelines about wall clearance and where to site your stove. Measure out a space on the concrete floor that corresponds to the manufacturer’s guidance. Test out the stove placement to make sure your measurements are accurate.
Measure and mark out a circle in the ceiling and roof for the chimney. You may need to add approximately 10 cm to the diameter of the chimney measurement if there are combustible elements such as roof timbers around the chimney, but check the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Double-check your measurements to make sure the stove position meets or exceeds these requirements.
Cutting & Preparing the Garage Roof
Unless your roof or ceiling is made of asbestos, cut the chimney hole through the roofing of your garage around your measured outline. Make sure to clear away all the roofing material and debris.
Install the chimney collar flashing, following the chimney manufacturer’s instructions. Double-check the chimney’s location by re-siting your stove and using a plumb bob lowered through the chimney hole. Also, recheck your wall clearance measurements.
Preparing & Cover the Garage Wall
Move the stove unit away to access the garage wall behind the stove.
Measure and mark up the position for your fire protective board on your unfinished garage wall. Position it horizontally and centred, maintaining a minimum of 1.2 meters from the centre line of the stove.
For corner installations, measure the fire-rated plasterboard extending it 1.2 meters each way from the corner behind the stove.
Offer up your fire protective board against the measured place on your garage wall and affix it with the appropriate tools needed to secure it.
Place a sheet of concrete backer board 90 cm high and centred horizontally from the centre of the stove. Do not allow the cement backer board to extend beyond the end of the fire protective board. Attach to the wall with appropriate fixings at approximately 20 cm apart.
Attach the Stove & Construct the chimney
Position the wood stove in place and recheck the required clearances.
Connect the chimney sections. Pass the chimney through the roof opening and collar flashing and slide the base of the chimney assembly over the chimney flange on the stove top.
Attach the chimney to the stove flange according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Fix the storm collar over the roof collar flashing. Use a waterproofing agent (such as silicone sealant or caulk) around the gap between the storm collar’s inside edge and the chimney’s vertical surface.
Attach the chimney cap and check it is fully locked onto the top of the chimney. Check the opening of the chimney flue by using the handle on the side of the chimney.
Check the Draw of Your Stove
Light a piece of newspaper in the stove firebox. Adjust the flue until the draw is at its best for your stove.
Please remember: these are guidelines only. All wood burners differ and may need a different assembly process. Likewise, garages are different and may require alternative preparation. You should always consult the manufacturer’s guidelines before installing. And even better, hire a HETAS-approved installer.
What’s the Cost of Installing a Wood Stove in a Garage?
Costs vary depending on the cost of your stove, the chimney, tools and the fixings you use. So giving an estimate is likely to be counterproductive.
The best way around this is to suggest the breakdown of costs associated with wood stoves and their installation to help you narrow down how much you’re willing to pay.
Cost of the Stove: Stoves for garages are generally on the smaller side. So a new smaller stove may cost anywhere between £200 – £1,000 depending on the make and specifications.
Cost of Installation: This will vary between contractors, the garage, your stove and chimney set up and also the extent of the installation. Very roughly, a full installation could cost between £1,000 – £2,000. Always ask a variety of specialists for an estimate before deciding on the best price.
If you intend to DIY your stove installation, your costs will significantly decrease. But they are going to be dependent on the individual costs of the stove, chimney and flue system and the fire-resistant materials and tools. This could range from £500 – £1,500 or more.
What is the Best Wood Stove for a Garage?
There is no correct answer to this. Why? Because every garage is different and what you use your garage for may vary.
But smaller stoves, such as those used in caravans and canal boats, are often a good fit for garages. Although this sometimes means that the costs of the flue system will increase unless the stove is raised on a concrete plinth.
For any smaller room, like a garage, it’s best to go for a smaller capacity. This means you could choose something very small, such as the ‘tent’ stove or a Pipsqueak Stove (2.8 kW) often preferred by canal boat or tiny home owners. Smaller wood stoves for domestic use range in capacity from 3.5 kW to 4.5 kW.
The average capacity for wood stoves used in UK homes is 5kW but they can go up to 7kW or more. You can instal these larger capacity stoves in your garage but unless you had a specific reason that much output might be a waste of fuel.
Things to Consider Before Installing a Wood Stove in Your Garage:
As with any combustion appliance, there are fire risks relating to wood stoves even when they are located in a detached garage. There are also methane risks, and depending on your fuel and the age and maintenance of your stove, environmental implications.
You will be required by your insurers to make sure your stove and flue are checked annually which can add to the costs. This does, however, buy you peace of mind. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines when installing your wood stove or, better yet, hire a professional.
Final Thoughts
Wood stoves can be a great investment for any useable space on your property. And as long as you instal your wood stove properly, choose the right stove for your space and get it checked regularly, your garage could become the cosiest room in your home!

You see the list gensler is number one it's not true it's when we mentioned and that's Leach hjk you're pretty big but not that big the rest of them are small and they're really not big okay but they're big enough for us to gobble up there's a ton of little ones and we're trying for them too because lots of them are sitting there doing nothing and they'll be needed for tons of houses and tons of apartments and tons of other buildings even higher architects to do hotel chain stuff because of the local variance in code and they have ordinances that have to be met and they want to redraw it halfway through trying to get it going so they do hire local firms for that the big ones have it but they don't do small stuff and there's tons of small stuff that has to be done this faceless everywhere in this town replaced with same and the ordinances have changed and the materials have changed too tons of people don't want block he finds to be cheap and dangerous you always causes the mess people get hit by it and it's terrible especially in storms just picked up and thrown all over the place like shot or flack and during war same thing blows up and close everywhere country doesn't usually the incinerate or blow up and fall quickly and it's because of CMU being lightweight it has air that's why it goes pow and it goes everywhere with quarter size pieces it's really being discontinued. And there's a new type of block coming out that's solid and yeah Sun had something to do with it and we help make it it comes in in pieces and you stick it together with thinset and it can be an amateur and build anything on your house so your your yard just follow the instructions it's very nice you thought about for a while since we have to do it and it's a thinset so it's kind of a glue and a cement after a while becomes very hard and it won't move at all it's very strong and you have models that you fill with grout too nice to lock it together and it's snowing like crazy cuz it makes the wall half the weight just like concrete would and people can do work themselves and they'll sheds safe rooms all sorts of things it's like a maniac stuff we're selling so much of it so he says maybe he could deliver it for cash and these people are idiots. So coming in there and we're doing a lot of work and we are taking over the top 10 at least and other firms that want to sell please give us a call and you will figure it out we pay good money top dollar because we went in there and we retain usually about half the employees at least the other half of had it and I already don't show up anyways and usually people leave after a little bit of quarter stays on cuz they figure out what we're doing all sorts of work and they want to be there and have to and they get assignments
That's it for now basically it's a huge huge deal engineering architecture and construction today and the Midwest and all the middle areas are gigantic it's a gigantic paradigm shift and occurrence and yes it is kicking off utah. There's several times to dumb and dumber too and the prequel to that is first when Harry met the other guy and they're both in the same place the first two and then the other one goes to Utah but they come back they go to New York and they go to Georgia with all places for some reason and it has to do with the money yeah send me about some money out there and they figured it out it's the money he's supposed to inherit so they try and bring other money there for some reason just threaten it to try to go to the Midwest and they fail going to the Midwest and that's why so we're having a good time with it and I do see the effect of iron it does have an effect on these growths and things
Thor Freya
I'm induced this is huge it's what we've been waiting for one of the big moves and it's coming now because when the Great lakes drop and or the river that area will flood quite quickly and they're going after the diamonds up there that's another reason why they're up there and they have to right now because the Midwest action is driving them up there then the clothes good then go up there and then the master Force to not necessarily in that order but they're down there and they're 11 and they're big tunnels and they're big diamonds in the smaller ones removed and it dropped and it's probably about two to three miles deep in each lake and it didn't change it with much but the cities will probably be personally engulfed if not a few of them fully and they are checking it now it's not hard to check if you're on Stone that goes all the way down you're all right if you're not you're doomed and some of the stone is weak you check that but they think they can if it's like gravel and stone and gravel and Stone it's going to go. And there are a few people here are nuts but that's okay it's a massive amount of spandex it's really going to go into use tonight let's Spandex and other things oysters. Really they're starting to figure it out and get excited and it's going ahead shortly. And it's a good deal fun and try and have a decent time and it's how much I'm trying to relax and that's a lot of there's a lot of spandex out here a ton maybe they're superheroes he says maybe not.

Where to Buy Clay Roof Tiles
If you’re in the market for new roof tiles, clay is a great choice for a number of reasons. Not only are they fire-resistant, but they also tend to be easy to maintain. In addition, they are energy-efficient, so you may be eligible for tax credits if you upgrade your roof to clay. Here are a few places you can buy clay roof tiles. Listed below are five of the best places to find them.
Roofing Superstore
If you are replacing an old roof, you may be wondering where to buy clay roof tiles. There are many advantages to using clay tiles as opposed to other types. In general, they are cheaper, more durable, and are easier to install. However, clay tiles can be brittle, so if the tiles are broken or cracked, they may not provide the same continuous waterproof surface. Broken tiles will eventually allow water to penetrate the roof and cause it to deteriorate. Furthermore, you should consider the place of manufacture before choosing the type of clay roof tiles you want. If you live in a climate where temperatures change dramatically, you may not be able to install the right type of clay tile.
The benefits of clay roof tiles are well-known. They provide durability, aesthetics, and heritage. The Roofing Superstore carries a vast selection of clay roof tiles, including plain tiles and interlocking tiles. In addition, they carry terracotta and red roof tiles. You can browse their extensive stock of clay tiles and pick the right one for your home or business. You’ll be glad you did!

The history of Ludowici’s tile-making process dates back over 400 years. The Ludovisi family was renowned in Rome for their expertly crafted clay roof tiles. They later moved to Germany and changed their name to Ludowici. In the late 1800s, Carl Ludowici brought the craftsmanship to the U.S., where he established a terra cotta tile company in Chicago.
