GET TO KNOW ME MEME: favourite lost/lesser known ships [4/10] - Chyna & Eddie Guerrero (WWF)
I've been really wanting to know, why you did what you did, mami? Well this might embarrass you a little bit, Ed. But the truth is, I really couldn't resist your latino heat!
(cred to FullWithDivas for the videos, such high quality!)
Pro wrestling fans be like ✨🌈❤️ sweet angel pookie who has never done anything wrong ever 🌈❤️✨
and it's someone who has not just attempted murder but also committed arson, vehicular theft, vandalism, stalking, wanton destruction of property. Maybe even jaywalked.
I wish people respected pro wrestling more than they do. This sport deserves so much more than it gets. I'm sick of hearing "it's fake" because yeah, the matches are predetermined but the emotions are real. The connection is real. The honor is real. The love is real.
The chair Hangman slammed into Swerve's head was 100% one of the most gimmicked chairs I've ever seen, and it's even more obvious when you see it from angles taken from people in the crowd
However.
I don't fucking care. Just the mental image of Hangman being so deep into his desire to fucking end Swerve, so furious, that he cracks the chair over Swerve's head with such force that two of the rivets or whatever that hold the seat in place BREAK and cause the SEAT TO MOVE is enough.
Everyone-- the production people, commentary, Swerve, and even Hangman, did everything they could to present that unprotected chair shot to Swerve's head as one of the single most grotesque, horrific things that has happened in basically all of professional wrestling.
And that's even you factor in the attempted murder that happened immediately before this match.
Yuji Nagata vs. Osamu Nishimura
from NJPW's G1 Climax 2002 Night 5, 08/08/2002
[initially watched with @coquinaclutch. Three guesses why I immediately loved Nishimura. Perhaps @fang-revives or @schadentekkers would appreciate these too?]
