Brief Description:

The original genus that Mole Bears originated from is heavily debated within scholar circles, with some claiming that they where originally a type of bear, others say they are a type of rodent or marsupial.

Whatever they once where however does not detract from their mastery of the many tunnels that lay throughout Labyrinth's surface and depths.

Whilst normally Mole Bears are one of the more docile creatures that the Clans contend with, oftentimes young bears accidentally expanding their tunnels through the floors or walls of homes, this doesn't mean that one can lower their guard when a Mole Bear is near as if the creature feels as though it is threatened or cornered can move deceptively fast and attacking in a blind furry of claws, teeth and quills.

One of the most defining adaptations of Mole Bears is their total lack of eyes and visible ears, however to compensate it appears that they gained a acute sense of smell with allows navigation within their subterranean homes or on their brief trips to the surface to scavenge or hunt small prey .

Offensively Mole Bears have evolved to have hollow hairs or quills made of a keratin like material that grows in layers along their : heads, back, tail, and limbs.

When agitated a Mole Bear extends these quills as a threat display and if further pressed are able to detach theses quills, throwing them at a target with an accuracy that should not be possible for the blind creature, by swinging their heads or forelimbs revealing newly grown quills that lay under the outermost quills.
