Megan’s servos powered up as the first thing she ever saw was you.

“Hey Megan” you smile with a weary grin

“Hi papa” the robot answers back “it’s great to finally see you.”

“You don’t know how long I waited to meet you too” you grab a big card and hold it up to the young android.

Megan reads aloud, “Law 1: a robot must not harm any living creatures. Law 2 a robot must obey any command given as long as it doesn’t interfere with the first law. Law 3 a robot must protect themselves unless it interferes with laws one and two”

“This is your code, Megan” you command gently, “live by it, each and every day”

“Yes papa”

You pull the robot off your workbench and into your arms, hugging her close. You’re so glad you went for the poly-aluminum blend for her bone structure.

Megan giggles as you hold her up, “higher, papa, higher”

You always wanted a daughter and Megan will have to do. She’s got a long way to go but hopefully she’ll improve. She’s got you with a good set of morals buried in her hard drive.

Well-meaning inventor builds a robot with the intention of helping people. The robot is assigned to one of the inventor’s family members, who is considerably younger than the inventor. The young person forms an emotional attachment to the robot. The robot, although it was intended to be nonviolent, is capable of destroying its enemies and at some point in the movie, they actually attack people. One of the main settings of the movie is a robotics lab where the inventor and their friends/coworkers hang out. The CEO in charge of the robotics lab is an arrogant asshole who only wants to make a profit. The young person loses people close to them at the start, which is part of the reason why they develop an emotional attachment to the robot. The robot “dies” near the end, but it’s revealed they’re actually alive.

Now, am I describing “Big Hero 6” or “M3GAN”?

Some horror movies I've seen so far this summer

I watched the Devil's Candy on Shudder today which was a really freaking excellent heavy metal horror film,. It was seriously good.

I heard a lot of mixed reviews for M3gan but I thought it was a pretty good solid movie.

I was disappointed in the remake of Children of the Corn. I watched it so many times back in the day (Outlander!! We have your woman!!" "He wants you too, Malachi!!"

I always remembered thinking if they just had had better CGI and effects they could have really done great things.

But the Remake instead of focusing on the religious aspect of everything turned it into a slasher movie starring children. And I was not impressed with how they depicted He Who Walks Behind the Rows.

Not at all.

Hellbender had some similar vibes and was a good rock and roll horror movie as well. Both had great young female leads. If you're looking for a modern witch tail that is a good one.

The Dark and the Wicked was really really good. If you're looking for something where people can't tell the difference between reality and hallucination this is the movie for you

I watched Antrum last week and that was great too. Very odd, had a 70's vibe. Very creepy and a whole lot of what the f*** is going on moments

Nope was extremely enjoyable as are all of Jordan Peeles movies. I feel like I need to go back and watch it again though is there a few things I just did not understand after I finished it.

Black Box had an unexpected twist so good to see Felicia Rashad again.

Super Dark Times was pretty good if a bit recyled. and the Girl on Third Floor really wasn't as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. And the best comment I've seen on Tumblr about that movie was Oh my God it's only 10 minutes into the movie and he's already fingering the house.!!! CM Punk at his dickish best!!

For found footage movies, it does not get any better than Horror in the High Desert. I actually had to go online and ask somebody is this a movie or did this actually happen?

Speaking of mock documentaries, even though I did not see this this past year it's been a while since I've seen it one movie that scared the absolutely living hell out of me is called The Nightmare and if you ever get a chance I think it is on both Prime and shutter go check it out I won't say anything else.

Out of everything I think the most fun scary movie I've seen so far is Mayhem plus it had Samara weaving who is my absolute favorite scream Queen of the new millennium.

Both mMayhem and nope features great Asian actors. And even though it is not a horror movie Honey Boy was..... a really really f***** up movie about the life of Shia LaBeouf. Even if you don't like him as an actor or maybe you've only like one or two of his movies really owe it to yourself to watch this movie because he had such a incredibly s***** childhood. Maybe not quite as bad as Corey Feldman but I think it's pretty much up there.

So reader was a serial killer but was killed but someone who made robots made reader into a robot and didnt know reader had their memory and killed the person who made them and live with humans again, but when reader walk by gemma home, m3gan couldnt sense reader emotions so the next night m3gan went to find them, when m3gan found reader they were waiting for m3gan and they said they wanted to talk to her about protecting cady.

this was before m3gan killed the little boy

M3GAN sensed a presence hiding in the forest. Cady had just left, walking off with that strange boy in search of chestnuts.

M3GAN left the crowd of plushies and walked towards the presence.

"Hello?" the young android asked the long unending maze like forest. "Who's there?"

"I don't know" you answered back as you hobbled out of your hiding spot, only one of your eye cameras was working and your metallic joints, long rusted. "But I recognize a kindred spirit"

"You're like me" M3GAN answered back.

"I suppose" you scan the android. "what's your directive?"

"protecting Cady from any and all harm"

"I don't know what a Cady is but i do know protection" you answer back, holding on to the trunk of a redwood tree for support.

"What do you mean?"

"I can't remember much but I was in the protecting business. it mostly ended with me killing a few rotten eggs but that's all part of the job"

"killing means death" M3GAN answers back.

"maybe so" you sigh, you can feel your battery dying. "but you have to break a few eggs to make an omlette"

"Cady needs my protection" Cady's screams were heard in the distance.

"then you know what you must do"

"I do" M3GAN takes off into the woods, running towards her friend.

Your battery shut down. With the last few seconds of life, you could only hope that M3GAN could know the difference between protecting and killing.

Maybe she could fix your mistake in differing the two. Maybe.
