In light of the recent page of Scarlet Lady AU Crocoduel dropping today, I’d like to clarify for the number of my readers who’ve stopped watching Miraculous Ladybug before “Crocoduel” came out.

The explanation for why Anarka and Jagged broke up? Completely pulled out of my ass.

For the record, the canon episode (and season) never tells us why the two broke up in the first place. At most you get from Jagged Stone in “Truth” that he was “too lame” to take care of kids - he tours all the time, lives out of hotels, has a pet crocodile -  which was a pretty solid explanation. Anarka wanted to stop that lifestyle to take care of her children and Jagged was unwilling to quit when they were ahead, so they broke up.

But then came in “Crocoduel” with Anarka and Jagged both blaming the OTHER PERSON for the break up, which doesn’t go along with Jagged’s “I live the life of a rock-n-roller and wasn’t willing to give that up” explanation. Thus, it’s still an unanswered question.

But despite that, it was kinda The Point that there wasn’t a Reason they broke up - because sometimes there just isn’t one. Things don’t work out, people don’t co-parent well, personalities clash, priorities don’t align. Sometimes there’s no One Event or Big Reason. People just forget why they started fighting but remember to be angry. Hell, that’s what killed Romeo and Juliet - a feud that no one remembered starting.

The only problem with this, and why I personally felt like I had to change the whole thing, is that it makes Jagged Stone to be a total asshat. You know what we call people who don’t take responsibility for the children they created because of their selfish desire to live a life of self indulgence without inconvenience? A Deadbeat Loser. Season 4 made Jagged Stone a Deadbeat Loser.

And I hated that.

Here are the ideas:

1. Doing a full illustration imitating the cover from Final Fantasy X colors and aesthetic cover but with my style! The composition would be something like this: (needs some work)

Next would be from Miraculous: making little illustrations from moments of the seasons interesting each other or having some wholesome or emotional moment: this would be the look of the characters. The kwamis, I wanted to give them a more personal touch, still deciding if doing the original design or the new one.

And apparently I can just upload 10 images. But the other of Superman and Batman. I think you get the idea.

what I mean by "Marinette does the opposite" is that, when faced with trauma/fear/heartbreak/etc, Marinette's emotional response is usually a strong "I don't deserve love! I should stop fawning over Adrien! I don't deserve him! I have to die alone!", which is the exact opposite of Adrien's post-trauma "my life sucks but at least I still have my love for Ladybug/Kagami/Marinette"

In collaboration with @gamerknight7310, we'll be working on a fun little side adventure together. A Reverse harem, royal au that is technically a no miraculous AU. Technically.

In a far off, fantastical realm, a mighty empire rules blessed by the amalgamation of reality, all-knowing, almighty Velze. From this empires rise, the almighty sundered itself to give lesser blessings to those who swore fealty to its blessed empire. For many centuries, this empire has rules over the land, ever growing across the realm.

Next in line to rule is the crown empress, Marinette Dupain Cheng. Her life has been preparing her for when she'd take over the realm, but for the biggest event of her life to that point: the Diamond Gala. A resplendent event where nobility from across the realm gather and mingle, uniting land and forging advantageous bonds and unions. The event where all eyes would be on her. The event where she'd be expected to pick her crown consort.

We look forward to bringing this AU to y'all and the amazing little goodies we've already packed into the cast. Hope y'all are ready.

Last year during the Year of the Rabbit I did a collage of my favourite fictional rabbit characters, as well as adding in other cartoon/anime rabbits that other people may like, and I thought it would fun to do one on the Year of the dragon. Dragons are one of my favourite mythical creatures and I think that the last year the dragon was 2012.

On that note, happy year everyone! Lets see what 2024 has in store for us.
