𐲱 HOW TO MAKE KNIFE

Step 1

find a good rock. any rock works but flint or obsidian good. glass also works. bone also works. of course use metal if ytou can sharpen it

Step 2

hit it with n another rock to turn it into a point. be really careful with obsidian or glass because it shatters. with those ones go at the edge with something hard likie bone or a horn to slowly chip away parts from the edge. like press it against the edge and slowly take parts off. or just sand it down if you can do that idc. idk how to do this with metal if i use those i just kinda use a shard and tie it really tight and hope it stays

step 3

do the same but take down the middle. there are two ways you can do this to make it attatch

way 1

take it in from the sides to create an indent to tie with and to keep the head in place

way 2

create a little hole in themiddle. yuo can decide if its better or worse to do it thisway by how fragile the thingy is when you take it down because the really fragile ones will just fuckin shatter if u try to do this to them. only do this if you hve a drill or your using metal so you can melt a hole in there or something

Step 4

make the stick. you can use lots of stuff you can use the horn you used tochip the thing down but then you dot ahve a horn so i dont recommend it. you can either tie it to the side (this fucking sucks) or cut a little line in the thingy to put it into . you wanna justjam it in there super hard so it stays. if you use way 2 above then you wanna drill the hole into the handle also

Step 5

Put some kind of glew in there (you make glew by boiling animal bits like sinew and fat and bone and skin and then skimming all the weird sticky stuff off) you can also make it out of plant sap but its not always as sticky but i like tree sap lots. you can like boil bark to get some if its the wrong time of year for sap because its actaully always the right time of year for sap its just sometimes it doest come out because its cold

then you wanna stick it in there super hard and jam it into the thingy and tie it up. if youcut the slit too big you can force some stuf f into there. squishy pieces work best so like wood. slices of wood or sticks or stuff but do it before the glue dries

Step 5

this is whhere you want to decide how you wanna tie it. all materials work for both ways above it just changes how you tie it. if you do way 2 you can figure it out yourself because i cant be bothered to make 2 knifes to show you both

materials you can use

- string

- yarn

- vines (can be very chunky try to use smaller ones) (also can be fragile (gragile = breaks easily))

- animal sinew (best)

i specifically use alight motion for my edits ! but i know a mutual of mine does it a different way which makes it look the exact same , pero like you just find a manga screen cap from either the hashtag here on tumblr ; “#mangacaps” or going to accounts similar to @/stepghost. and then size it to your liking ( but remember that tumblr is very tricky with showing you in tags for certain sizes so test a few of em out!! and then you wanna import it into picsart and go to effects, then color gradient! choose whatever two colors you want and then slide the blend option over to color burn and it should blend into the darker area of your header!

OR you can download ibis paint x and import your header there , choose the two colors you want , or just singular color and then go to the blend mode and put it on lighter color! cause that’s what i do 😋🤞 and then you can save that header, re import it into the file and then put a gausian blur on it, tweak the amount of blur and the change the blend to screen, then mess around with the opacity!! i do the gausian blur for mine cus it looks cute and sometimes blurs inappropriate parts of the picture that would normally get you flagged on tumblr !

FROM LIL OLE ME ?????? honestly im still in a constant phase of trying to figure out what brushes/coloring styles i like but i really appreciate you saying that!! im going to assume this ask was influenced by the last art i posted since it blew up? so im going to mainly talk abt how i did those. but if you have any questions abt a specific piece or smth feel free to send a msg or ask! 💛 first off i use clip paint studio so these r all exclusively free csp brushes. artemus chalk and artemus pencil i use for flat colors or small sharper detailing, and intoxicate pencil set for soft lines and blending (its a set but they're all pretty much the same so it doesn't rlly matter which one you use). however i use these 3 pretty interchangeably tbh so its not a strict guideline for me or anything. but for my last post, its almost exclusively the intoxicate pencil. it's what gives that "fuzzy" effect. i made these if they help visualize it

plus quick coloring tutorial! which is just basically my entire process. i can't clarify anything abt picking colors bc i genuinely don't know and pick whatever itches my brain at that moment in time

Life updates!

Got my new driver's license with my updated legal name change which allowed me to change my name on my bank account and Paypal. Had to call Paypal support because my birthday was wrong on my account which caused an automatic rejection of my name change request (as it didn't match with the birthday on my ID), I can only assume it was younger me skirting by the age requirements at the time so I could make that Deviantart commission money LMAO (more shockingly, the Paypal support guy was really nice and we had a good laugh about it). Thankfully the fix was quick and easy :>

Only thing I'm waiting on now is my new provincial health card so that I can FINALLY book a bloodwork appointment. Once we're over that one hurdle, it's (hopefully) HRT time! <3

Psuwis is doing much better! He was on a round of various medications for a week to treat his jaundice / liver problems, and in between medications we got him eating as much as we could, swapping out foods and trying new things until we figured out what would stick. Unfortunately he has already gone back to being his picky self, but he's put on weight again and his jaundice has finally cleared. I'm incredibly relieved, and thankful to the vets at the urgent care clinic who were so good with him. I'm hoping this means we're still stuck with him for a few more years, as much as he drives me crazy with his antics he's still my boy and the fear of losing him really put into perspective how much of a positive impact he's had on my life and how much I need to appreciate him being here in whatever limited time he has. I love owning pets, but man, it's hard during those times when you're reminded that you're gonna outlive them 😭

Even now as I'm typing this, I can tell he just went to the bathroom because I can smell the stench of his frigging POOP emanating from his butthole five feet away. But dammit, he can stink all he wants, because at least that means he's still here <3

I've started playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Or rather, I had started playing it a while ago, but stopped shortly after the opening tutorial of the game. Since then, I've switched primarily to PC for most of my gaming outside of Nintendo Switch games. So I recently bought it again while it was on sale for practically dirt cheap, and finally took another crack at it.

I'm not sure why I stopped playing it the first time around, going into the PC versions I had vague memories of dropping it as soon as the opening section was over and I had access to the camp. All I could feel vaguely in hindsight was a sort of confused boredom and reluctance to try and get back into it. But I'm glad I gave it another shot, because honestly... I have no clue why past me struggled to get a sense of it, I love the first RDR (I've beaten it multiple times, easily one of my favorite games from the PS3 era) and RDR2 isn't exactly that much of a departure from it as far as gameplay philosophy goes.

Now that I'm actually progressing through it, I'm having a great time! The writing is as clever and hilarious as its predecessor, and the attention to detail in the worldbuilding is phenomenal. It's so silly but what I really appreciate most are just those little mundane moments of going into a grocery store, picking up a tin of hair gel or a stick of butter, and just... looking at it. Like damn, they really invested a lot of time and care into ensuring that I could interact with just about every item in this game and get some trivia out of it.

The game runs exactly how it should, if not leagues better than it did on the PS4. It still has the usual Rockstar bugginess, but unlike Bethesda's brand of jank, Rockstar bugs are just MSG, they provide that extra lil' kick of indescribable flavor. They're never game-breaking, always hilarious.

Assuming the game's performance won't be affected by it, I'd love to stream it sometime. Maybe get my husband on the mic with me as co-host. After all, as much as these games are primarily sold as single-player story-driven experiences, they really are at their best when you have someone to experience it with. I can't express to you how much I wish we had been streaming during the bar scene with Lenny. Truly an iconic moment I wish I could forget just to re-experience it all over again LMAO

The other day I got an ask inquiring about Kore's planner. I hadn't really thought much of it at the time, probably because I'm so used to Rekindled being an obviously non-profit project, but someone pointed out to me that I could theoretically make the planner as a digital notebook.

And boy howdy, did my ADHD run with that, because I spent like 3 hours after this making exactly that! Here's a little preview!

Obviously it's been buffed up a bit compared to the original, but I really wanted to build upon its brief original appearance and make it feel like a genuine notebook that someone like Kore would own, with little dedicated tabs and sections for different things. As a baseline, I'll be formatting this for PDF so that it can be imported into most major drawing software - including Clip Studio and Procreate - however I'm also gonna be fiddling around with the Goodnotes app (which I used to use a lot of myself) and seeing if I can make a Goodnotes compatible template with hyperlinks and other clickable parts.

Overall I've had a lot of fun making this, it took a lot of initial work in designing the base look and feel of it, but now it's coming together pretty smoothly! I'm hoping to have it ready in the next few days <3 Once it is, I'll be selling it as a digital download on my new Ko-Fi page! :> So if that's something you're interested in, give that page a bookmark/follow and check back in a bit! It'll be fairly inexpensive, within the $5-$8 range depending on how much gets included (i.e. if I can provide the Goodnotes template or not).

January was an extremely hectic and chaotic month. It brought about a lot of unfortunate circumstances that were difficult to weather through. Despite this, I'm doing what I can to hold onto my hope that it'll all work out, that there are still opportunities for joy and progress, and that even the worst things that have come to pass will still pass. How to fix Transparency w/ Lashes and Alpha Hair in Blender! Cycles & Eevee!

(This tutorial also helps with adding transparency to Sims 4 Object cc. If needed, I can make a post on that as well.)

This is NOT a Tutorial on how to fix broken/ glitched lashes in the SIMS game!!!

It was brought to my attention that others do not know how to fix this issue in blender, so I've made this post to help out. This tutorial works for BOTH Eevee and Cycles! (This only matters at the end when in the materials tab.)

This is work for all methods of DAE exports.

This is Erecen. They will be our tutorial model today.

As you can see, the Alpha CC hair and lashes are not... working like how we saw them in game. So! We will need to fix this up within our Shading Node Wranglers to correct this.

(If you use a GLASS mesh, make sure you are shade wrangling on the GLASS!)

(This picture is only showing which is the Glass mesh!) Plz ignore this if you are not using Glass mesh export on Ripper.

Lashes/Hair Transparency

First import your sim and wire the texture nodes how you normally would. Stay in Shade Editor/Shading tab.

You will now want to Add a 'Mix Shader' node. Search for it by typing in "Mix Shader". Select and now drop it between your Principle BSDF node and Material Output node.

After this, you will want to Add a Transparent BSDF. I added mine the same way as the Mix Shader and have place it under my Mix Shader node.

With this Transparent BSDF node, you'll want to wire it to the TOP Green Circle of your Mix Shader node. (1 in pic below) This will disconnect your current wiring from Principle BSDF. This is fine since you now want to wire the Principle BSDF node to the BOTTOM Green Circle of your Mix Shader node. (2 in pic below)

Afterwards, you will now need to go to your Base Color node; (Where your sims diffuse lies!) It should be the top left node, unless you have moved it. (3 in pic above) Now take the Alpha dot and drag it all the way to FAC on the same Mix Shader node. From here, we need to go to 'Editor Type'.

After locating Editor Type, you now want to locate the sphere listed as Material.

You now want to find the correct SETTINGS tab. Please note how you render your renderings. If you render in EEVEE, take note of the picture above. Same for CYCLES as taking note in the picture above. This is very important since the SETTINGS options switch between these two areas depending on the Engine.

In Eevee, this should be in the first SETTINGS tab in the materials properties tab.

In Cycles, the SETTINGS you will need is located under the tab listed as Viewport Display. From there, a new drop down will be available called Settings. (This is the correct SETTINGS you want)

Either engine will now have a few modes now visible.

For both Blend Mode and Shadow Mode, change them from Opaque to Alpha Hashed. (It is only required to change Blend Mode to Alpha Hashed for the transparent textures to work. Hashing shadows makes a nice balance of translucency and ambient occlusion.)

And that should be it! Your lashes/Alpha CC hair should be working correctly now!

hello! not a stimboard request and ignore if i shouldn't be asking this, but how do you make the stimboards? i tried using the gifs in tumblr but the text was too big and it didnt work well :(

i make all my stimboards on laptop ! i cant give you a tutorial on mobile but i can out line what i do on my laptop , some of this might also transfer over to mobile and i do have a couple ideas for mobile !

first , i find a center image like a character or animal or smth . i usually use pinterest or a wiki , on pinterest search "[characters name] pfp" . if you find one thats edited or fanart make sure to credit that person , if you find fanart that does not have credit/has been reposted i do not recommend using it .

then i will go to tumblr and either search on someones blog or just in the search bar. some of my favorite gif creators are @/fuzzystim , @/8stims , and @/gottastim . obvi there are others but make sure to read their dnis and credit them . when you search i reccomend using color and type of stim , when using the tumblr search bar and not searching on someones blog make sure to put stim at the end some examples : pink slime stim , blue clay cracking stim , nature stim , wolf stim , etc .

save whatever gif you plan on using (you can delete them later) and go to the draft section on tumblr to arrange them . on mobile AND laptop you can just drag and drop them, you are limited to three on one row so people usually use 9 images total (3x3) .

for credit , on laptop , copy the link to the post (you can get this by clicking the three little dots and selecting "copy link" . then add the link to a piece of text by selecting it and hitting ctrl+p to attach the link to the text . you can format them however but i like doing them like this : [ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ / ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ / ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ]

on mobile i think crediting would be easiest by just putting the persons user name so it would look like @/user , @/user , @/user @/user , @/user , @/user @/user , @/user , @/user

on mobile AND laptop i recommend just liking the posts you need to credit and then going back and viewing your likes to copy them .

no that's real. i hate giffing. i hate editing. and yet!!!!

there are tons of good tutorials in the roleplay community / rpc on here! i sometimes can make my own but if i don’t, i make sure to check that the creator allows for editing + reposting. photopea and cracked photoshop is what i use to edit and make my gifs, and i screencap using mpv or vlc. it helps to have a good computer because gif making is extremely annoying and rough around the edges. some gifs are only 44 frames, some are 144. sometimes your computer might screech and claw at you because of the 44 frames but will do just fine with 144. other times, it will be the other way around. down below are my tips + resources, but since everyone is different with gif making, just searching up things like gif tutorial photopea or gif tutorial psd will help, but adding rph will always help with anything you need. sharpen rph. color corrector rph. rph is the term the rpc uses to share help, tips, resources, whatever you need. i cannot put the link to cracked photoshop because of Obvious Reasons (i hate adobe i'd give it on this post away in a heartbeat), but it's really not that hard to find on here! i will also just message you the account i get all my cracked stuff from lol

tips!!!! verbal tips that result in me expecting to be tipped $5. kidding. not. my venmo down below sharpening actions are your best friend, the msg of gif making. find good colorings, currently obsessed with this one, this one, and this one. want this text i use on my gifs? use this tutorial, but i skip the outline step. gif too blue? too red? too yellow? that's the ugly color cast evil producers tell editors to put on media. fix it if you want. if you torrent, PLEASE get the highest quality you can get. or use scenepacks off instagram and tt in the highest quality still. (quick edit but coloring and sharpening can be used on pictures too!!!! i use them for my pictures)
