HEY FRIENDS, IT'S ME 🥹 (Madeline fills y'all in below the cut)

Safe to say from the absolute radio silence on here for the past month and a half, life has been absolutely kicking me right in the tits. As of today (after telling my principal), I am officially done with teaching at the end of this school year. It's been the strangest feeling ever- while it is such a huge relief to know the tremendous amount of physical and mental stress that teaching has been for me is only 15 days away from coming to an end, it also hurts to think that the thing I once had so much passion and love for has burned out so quickly. I've been having such a hard time coming to terms with the fact that teaching isn't where I want to be anymore, and the teacher guilt in me about it is still eating me alive.

This school year has been so draining for me that the past month I have done the same routine every single day as followed: Wake up, cry going into work, try to make it through the day without having a mental breakdown from kids screaming/ridiculous parent emails/insane requests from the district/one of my kids threatening to bring a gun to school (yes, this did happen, and yes, it's the 3rd grade!!! 🙂), cry on my way home from school, look for jobs and change my resume for the thousandth time and cry again bc no one will hire me, and then go to sleep and do it the next day!! On top of that, I've just been dealing with a lot of other big life things that have taken up so much time/mental energy, I am legit crawling to the finish line that is the last day before summer break.

I will be completely honest with you when I say that I legit have not opened a Google Doc for NTL in a month and a half, and truth be told, I don't know the next time that I will. I truly do miss being on here and all of the wonderful people, and I feel terrible that I have been no where to be found. Thank you to everyone who's sent me a DM or an ask to ask if ya girl is okay, I really appreciate you more than you know 🥺💛

I'm really hoping the summer brings some new peace/inspiration to start writing again, but please know if you don't hear anything from me in the near future, either know 1. I didn't make it out of the school year alive or 2. I am sitting in the sun like a lizard on a hot rock letting all of the stress dissolve from my body until I start to feel like a normal human again 🥴

I love all of you so much, I hope that everything in all of your lives are going well and that I am giving each one of you a big kiss on the forehead and sending you all of my love 🥺💕

theres a bit of a microfandom built around a mostly specific set of fictional antagonistic AI with some variance but generally centering around the same handful of characters and i find it very funny that amongst characters like AM, glados and wheatley, hal 9000, auto from wall e— all from very popular, well known, critically acclaimed games/books/movies, there's also a lot of love for edgar from electric dreams, an obscure romcom from the 80s. and after having seen the movie, you know what, he deserves it

Hi friends!!! 🥹

It feels like it literally has been YEARS since I have been on here, but I am very happy to report that things in life have settled down tremendously and I've actually had time to be on here again!!

I missed all of y'all so much and wanted to say a big thank you to anyone who's checked in on me or asked me how things were going, I promise I wasn't ignoring you on purpose, I literally have not opened Tumblr in weeks so I feel like I have so much to catch up on!!

In some positive news, I made it out of the school year alive (barley LMAO) , I had an interview last week that I think went really well and I am feeling very positive about (fingers crossed, y'all 🤞🏼) and I've had time to start enjoying some much needed summertime activities in the sun- It's been a crazy heatwave in the Midwest this past week with temps in the high 90's and 85% humidity, but I am a gal who lives for the heat so I could not be happier 🤪☀️

In other positive news, I finally opened a Google Doc for the first time since the beginning of May, and have started working on Chapter 21 of NTL for Javi and Osita's Honeymoon, in addition to a lil one shot with Frankie and some pool sex 🫣 No promises on when anything will be done- I'm trying to enjoy my time off before I start a new job without putting too much pressure on myself to write, but hopefully something will be coming your way soon!!

ANYWAYS ily all so much, thank you for being so patient and understanding of me in my lil break, I hope everyone is doing well, and sending big forehead kisses to each of you MWAH 😚💛

honestly idg some of takes on twitter. in between the fucked up monstrous shitshow that was the trial, I actually think the writers/showrunner were trying to give lest*t the most sympathetic arguments/accounts from his pov that they could. that is why there was an over-the-top differentiation between the script written by the coven and possibly lest*t, and lest*t going off-script.

trying to figure out what is on purpose and not is what makes this such a shitshow too bc its so blatantly an imbalanced trial that using it to balance out louis and lest*ts accounts is...hm.
