Who do u think is most likely to (possibly) die permanently in SH

Hi anon, I had to give this some thought because in the past I’ve only considered the idea of who could die in Scarlet Hollow so briefly I didn’t have an answer. But now that I’ve let it percolate for a while I have some ideas. Spoilers below, but I’m going to be kinda vague about them. I hope you're okay with a long answer, friend, because that’s what this turned into, lol!

First off I think anyone who dies in the course of the game won’t come back in some way. The two people who can die in Episode 4 do so in such a way that it wouldn’t be possible for them to come back in the flesh. Unless we get another ghost or their spirit inhabiting another body they are gone-gone. Obviously I could be wrong, but given we’ve already dealt with a ghost and people being temporarily puppeted, I believe any death is permanent. And our choices really do matter!

So “most likely” to possibly die I think are Kaneeka, Sybil, and Avery. Kaneeka has a lot of concerning magical girl imagery associated with her character. I’m not familiar with some of it, but I love Madoka Magica, and the Sayaka statue is worrisome when you consider how her character arc ends. Like a lot of fans, I predict that Kaneeka will have some kind of magical girl-like awakening or transformation, and my guess is it has the possibility to end with her dying. And much like Tabitha, Kaneeka takes her family duty seriously even when it’s painful. So I think it’s within the realm of possibility for her to pull some sort of self sacrificing move.

Sybil is very connected to what’s going on, obviously a lot more than she’s letting people know. Which could easily put her in serious danger. Plus it adds Kaneeka and Miles to to Dead Mom’s Club! I know that seems like a joke, but I’m mostly serious. There are a lot of themes in the game about generational trauma and abusive parents. I think Sybil dying, especially if it’s from a choice Kaneeka makes, fits with the themes we’ve already seen in the game. And in light of how Episode 4 can end, that just adds weight to the theory in my opinion.

For Avery, it’s purely because they are way too casual about all the horrors happening! Mx Belle, please don’t say you’d be okay with a ditchling using your body to incubate it’s offspring! Do they even have a self-preservation instinct in the face of supernatural stuff? Because it sure doesn’t look like it from where I’m standing. Avery is reckless and much too willing to get into bad situations just for the thrill of it, so that doesn't bode well for their survival.

Granted, I’m not sure anyone is safe. And I’m concerned about Janey and Pastor Daniel making it to the end of the game. That conversation you can have with Tabitha about how no one in town has two parents is pretty ominous with her reply of basically “Tulip has two parents, for now.” Honestly, I do hope at least the kids are safe, because there is no way I could handle a child dying! (Despite the fact I don’t want children, I’m exceedingly fond of them.) Also, it just doesn’t feel right from the direction Abby and Tony seem to be taking the story.

Thanks for the ask, anon! Ngl, I was a little surprised to see it since there are quite a few SH fans here who are much more known for talking about the game and their theories. But it’s was fun, if a bit morbid, to think about! <3

anyways onto them, sabrina aden (also known as "sabie") is a self described "internet sleuth", she was initially made as a extension of me, but she's her own beast now; considering what happens in the events of drowsytowngames.com (the name of my hatchetfield unfiction thing) i don't know what that reflects in me lmao. she's chronically online and slowly goes mad johnny truant style in her attempts to uncover a old flash games site she played back in the 2000s. she has like this undying need for knowledge - to "see what happens next" - and that sometimes supercedes her weird savior complex; where she HAS to save everyone and stuff. this leads to stuff that are spoilers :( but lets just say. have you watched madoka magica. it's like that. she's meant to live in hatchetfield, the narrative wants her to, but she lives in some bumfuck city in washington

the other girl, avery lemmington, is sabie's best friend since diapers - she's in the dark for most of the text, only finding out about all that in the lategame. she's...boring? she's treated by the lords in black like how andrew hussie treated jade harley - ignored by the narrative. she kinda is....masking....SUPER HARD? it's to the point where she kinda forgot who she really is. she sometimes just. sits in her room, staring at the wall, lost in thought. she's kinda depressed but she hides it. she hides a LOT of things lol. she's probably as messed up as sabie, but again, the narrative doesn't care about what happens in avery's life. her mom doesn't let her use the internet, she's like, technologically stuck in the 90s lol. she has a DS, she wants a 3DS but she doesn't have the money. i initially had a idea that pokey targeted her - like a silly paulkins parallel, but i decided it's more interesting if the lords were just. uninterested. esp since the lords kinda are also indicative of the narrative, at least in drowsytowngames.com.

Hi There! Welcome in!

I’m Avery, and ever since I graduated college in the middle of the pandemic there’s been a little hole inside me because I no longer have a captive audience of 20-30 people who have to hear my thoughts, opinions, and theories about whatever we’d read or watched that day.

Then some of my friends started posting doctor who essays and sewing tutorials on tumblr (in 2021?? Which is still wild to me because I haven’t been on here since superwholock was like, the only thing on here) and I realized

But not with Doctor Who. Ew. No, with all the weird books I read and shit.

I try to read a lot, but probably average 20-25 books a year. I love vintage fashion (not vintage values!) and might rant about corsets sometime. I also cosplay with said sewing tutorials friend and got really into cosplay photography through that. I probably won’t post it here but who knows. I’ll probably mostly post about the books I’ve read and maybe every now and then something I wrote that made my brain go brr.

Avery LOVES seinen in general, and his fav shows are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Hellsing! In all three cases he likes the originals as much as the reboots/OVAs. He has crushes on Misato and Alucard... His fav character in PMMM is Mami! He’s cosplayed her too.

He also loves Sailor Moon but didn’t like Crystal. His fav is Mercury!

As for Juniper, they’ve got a bunch of hentai on VHS. They were introduced to it by someone back in the day and kind of... killed them, accidentally. Whoops! So the tapes are theirs now.

more serious question eliada is from a/s right? i know screenplay is non canon but can he like. canonically travel to souless verse? so hes from another universe but can go into the other one? whats his deal what is he up to besides thesis work

yeah !! th deal with a/s is that they have way more advanced tech n have confirmed the existence of the moons & their role in the whole dang machinery & found a way to CONTROL them. there is a way 2 shift between universes by yeeting yourself towards unbloomed moon cores that a/s academy can detect since they’ve essentially sequenced the base universe core genome n just have to look for variations of it across dead world space

& eliada used 2 b a tracker for the academy meaning that he hunts true rulers to sacrifice them into the control mechanism which. sounds more gruesome than it is but also is as fucked up as it sounds. it is normalized 2 the point of routine n there is no blood spilled since true rulers simply turn to statues when they are bled of power. (it does involve putting swords in them, however) it’s rly the whole [kyubei cattle analogy from madoka] yiiikes. it rly takes meeting reina later for him 2 reflect on what he has been doing bc all he knows are docile rulers who readily accept their roles since the academy control mechanism got its strings in everyone (including eliada n including true rulers) though it never steered his hand we r not making excuses here !!

anwy. he does not actually know of the cm or abt the moons etc bc trackers do not get juicy world lore handed 2 them, the academy is big on working urself into their inner circle by reinventing the wheel. if you figure out they are manipulating the world then ur welcome to join their secret society of moon abuse. eliada always knew that academy higher-ups were shifty n so he arranges 2 get laid by his boss in one of the innermost sanctums where he has an epiphany n thus hands in his thesis abt how “yall will drive us 2 ruin, i can prove it” n goes to another verse 2 do some research on how worlds exist in their natural state vs. what is going down in his home verse. only to then antagonize reina n play a key role in pushing her towards the soul split that fucks up everything n gets him stuck in soulless verse for a thousand years. nd, when he does come home at long last, a/s academy system has in fact fallen to ruin (thanks kizuna) but there is no one to tell He Told Them So bc everyone he knew is fucking dead.

((((((also fun fact. since lucie is a universe mechanism she glitches herself n avery over to a/s later so they can travel that verse too n run into some unfinished business (annoy eliada). belle n leah get over there as well for fun since belle is all-powerful by the end, don’t ask me how i just want everyone 2 go make vacation in a/s n help em fix the last remnants of trouble left over from academy days uwu)))))
