What If: Chisato and Takina had Witch Forms?

So about two and half months ago, Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue came to Magia Record as puella magi, but with a catch, instead of receiving doppels, they instead had second magias! They clearly had the means uses doppels, but didn't, perhaps it was the studio were avoiding making the more lighthearted anime girls become twisted and monstrous. Well, after a lot of painstaking procrastination, I made hypothetical witch forms for them!!

LYCORIS RADIATA (Chisato Nishikigi) The heartbeat witch. Its nature is absolute emotion. A witch born during times of great calamity. It feeds on the hope it harvest from humanity, converting it into energy it uses to fend off forces that could threaten human existence itself. Despite its great size and intimidating appearance, it is a sweet creature that invokes a great sense of joy to those who survey it. This witch is a pacifist, and will never put living creatures into harm's way, it does not share that view to soulless beings, such as incubators. As long as humanity believes in itself, this heart will keep beating, allowing life to move on.

The doppel of absolute emotion. Its form is a heartbeat.

LYCORIS SPRENGERI (Takina Inoue)The remora witch. Its nature is absolute logic. It patrols around Lycoris Radiata, gnawing upon the despair Radiata cannot filter off. It converts this despair into energy into its weapon, a great beast in the form of a cannon. Instead of choosing the most amicable strategies like Radiata, it goes for the most tactical strategies, such as if millions die for Lycoris Radiata's sake, so be it. Sometimes, Sprengeri spends its time upon Radiata, listening to its heartbeat. The doppel of absolute logic. Its form is a remora.

Design Notes

For Radiata's design, I utilized Chisato's heart motifs, and the ripped metal beams from the old radio tower that Chisato protected by herself. The name Lycoris Radiata, comes from the red spiderlily

For Sprengeri's design, I made a remora, as Takina is shown to quite the oppurtunist, also she seems to uses huge-ass weapons a lot.

The name Lycoris Sprengeri, comes from the electric blue spiderlily, a lycoris flower that's not quite the iconic red spiderlily also both girls witches are based off the Sakana (fish) and Chinanago (garden eel) meme. I hope you enjoy these gals as much as I did making them!!

2 years ago, I came up with ideas for madoka magica witch forms for cole, jay, zane, and kai. I was reading them back and I think they turned out pretty good so I wanted to post them here. Their "wishes" were based on their true potentials and the witch forms were based on "bad endings" to those wishes.

Cole: Wish: I wish my dad would accept me for who I am. Witch: The Forgotten Witch with a departed nature. It haunts Yang’s temple, wandering the halls. It is trapped in the temple forever. It calls out to the people who have forgotten it long ago. To defeat this witch, you must remember its name. Minions: Red, Blue, White dancers (based on season 1 dance outfits) that brings humans because their witch wants people to remember them Domain: either Yangs' Temple or the stage the Blade Cup talent contest took place in

Jay: Wish: I wish to have the confidence to confess to my crush. or I wish to be true to myself. Witch: The Cowardly Witch with a disguised nature. This witch hides itself away under piles of clothes, tools, and junk. It abhors its appearance. It disguises itself as items, humans, snakes, anything, to get away from piercing eyes/lingering looks. To defeat this witch, you must find it first. Be wary, it is quick to run and hide, but also quick to strike. Minions: Red, Black, White scrap collectors that lure humans through curiosity of what lies beyond their imagination (into the junk pile) Domain: either the Scrapyard or a broken down Mega Monster Amusement Park

Zane: Wish: I wish to know the truth about my past. Witch: The Broken Down Witch with a self-rejecting nature. This witch hates itself and its past. Knowing the truth about itself, and the assumption of others' rejection of it, the witch fell into a lonely despair. This witch trapped itself within its labyrinth so it could hide itself from others. When humans enter the labyrinth, it quickly takes care of them, to spare them from itself. To defeat this witch, you must have total acceptance / confidence of yourself, and never hesitate. Minions: Red, Black, Blue falcons/crows (crows symbolize death and falcons symbolize freedom, so I think crows would be more appropriate) that brings humans to the labyrinth to help their witch, but ends up leading humans to death. Domain: Tree fortress in the snow woods/old house

Kai: Wish: I wish to protect the Green Ninja, and those I love. Witch: I had two versions for Kai

The Ronin Witch with a desperate nature. This witch has forgotten who it is fighting for. This witch attacks anything in a blind rage, frustrated that it has become the embodiment of evil, the very thing the witch swore to destroy. This witch is desperate to escape its despair, and will keep fighting for its loved ones, for a chance to see them again. This witch cannot, and does not, give up.

The Green Ronin Witch with a jealous nature. Its appearance mirrors the legendary green ninja. It is jealous of the power the green ninja inherits. It fights anything that enters its labyrinth for justice and goodness. To defeat this witch, one must be able to face hard truths.

Minions: Black, White, Blue messengers that brings humans so their witch can defeat evil Domain: Fire Temple or the open tournament arena from season 4

Waldeburga The Forgotten witch, with a Lonesome nature. Longing to live forever, she outlasted all others. Now the halls of her castle are empty, and she wanders the grounds of her barrier alone. Don’t you think throwing a costumed ball in her honour would lift her spirits?

Nour, aka Sheut, from Ever Oasis would turn into a witch in Puella Magi Madoka Magica!

Cause of Witchification: Been there, done that. @bebe-my-beloved identified for me based on the way that Charlotte's tail is lumpy on the inner curves and smooth on the outer curves that her worm form is likely made from fabrics and stuffing like her doll form is.

I can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner. Petscop x Madoka. Petscop is another one of my super big loves.

The themes just work so well together and it was super easy and fun to think up the witches

Belle uses a pink tool wand and her soul gem is on her tiara. Her witch is Tiara, the rebirth witch with a smart nature.

Carrie uses a blue tool wand and her soul gem in on her chest. Her witch is Maisie, the daisy witch with a damaged nature.

Lina uses a pinwheel that sends out magic when blown into and her soul gem is on her belt. Her witch is Garalina, the windmill witch with a rotating nature.
