So it's getting shorter, huh?
Maybe, the pencil symbolizes the length of the story, and maybe, it symbolizes Ava as the one who's leaving traces in other's hosts lives, writing her own story.

Ok, so I have a mini theory regarding the update!
Translation:
"Oh right"
"You cant speak Nimish, huh?"
"Lets see.."
"Surley its in the same place.."
And there's the chapter header
This leads me to believe that Excessans communicate with other lifeforms by establishing a mental connection with them, hence the forehead boop.

Maggie's book
It has no connection to her legasy, like Odin's sketchbook, with the symbol of his family. She was raised as an orphan.
It's not her demon's plan, Tuls is not in control of her like Wrathia has of Ava.
Even the pencil is mooved aside.
What we see here is flowers, direct representation of her power and the dream of having a partner for life.
And more interestingly, this book is adorned by these flowers
and for me they look a lot like those weeds with strong vibes of floral ornaments of Ancient Egypt, big theme of Excessa
And we see a lot of them on the title card of the chapter and right before the start of Maggie's book. And they grow around the dumpster under the palace of Erios. Very not regal, if you ask me. Very not fitting for Maggie, who's all about dreams of wealth.
BTW, their design remind me of colour palette of Tuls, and they are holding the star - the symbol of Erios
