Snakes are symbolic beings. They connect to the fluidity of feminine energy and are also seen as a bridge between the conscious and unconscious mind because they can slither on land and swim in watery depths. Water is a known symbol of the unconscious. Of course, there is the negative association l to snakes as well, such as in the story of Adam and Eve when the devil desguises himself as a snake. Frankly, I don't believe in any devil. I do however believe snakes, as well as women, have been misunderstood and treated as conniving or somehow evil in the past (and still now 😕). Bringing the snake into the light feels like a symbolic step of bringing feminine power into the light. I've had many dreams about snakes, eels and other slithery creatures. They are always comforting, beautiful dreams connected to freedom of spirit and body. I'd like to get a tattoo of one, one day, but the process is still new in my mind. Drawing this being was a calming and thoughtful experience. She is actually on white paper but I like how she looks under this filter. Rubik's Snake was released for the first time in 1981 during the height of the Rubik’s Cube craze and was one of the most popular twisty puzzles to develop creative ability in the 1980s. “I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the shit out of me.”

Loki blinked, his eyes wide. Did he… Hear that correctly from the Russian in front of him? She had just suddenly blurted it out, and it seemed to shock him.

"Uh… C-Come again, Katiya…?”

“Y-You heard me! I-I’m not gonna say it again!”

Katiya seemed really defensive about it, but Loki couldn’t blame her. He had done some… Terrible things in the past, and he wasn’t all that surprised of her rage when they first met in the Sanctum. 

Loki took a deep breath, as if mentally preparing himself for… whatever. The woman in front of him, he knew, was powerful and… Unpredictable. “Why… Why would you be afraid of being in love with me, Katiya?” He asked softly, as if a bit confused.

Katiya let out a shaky breath. “You know damn well why… All that I’ve been told about you was about how you decieve. You lie… And you manipulate others. After all of this… I-I’m not even sure anymore. Everything is just so confusing and… M-My mind is screaming at me to not trust you…”

“And… what is your heart saying?”

“… That I should go forward with my feelings and disregard whatever my mind is saying.”

Loki smiled. There was no malice, no ill intent… It was a genuine, soft, and welcoming smile. “I think I quite like what your heart is saying. Maybe you should listen to your own heart, rather than the mind. The mind always plays tricks more than I do.” He says, chuckling.

Katiya couldn’t help but laugh, although it was a nervous one. “Wow, Loki. Uh… T-That’s some pretty good advice. Thank you.” She says, to which Loki gave a slight nod as to say ‘you’re welcome.’ A smile graced the Russian’s lips.

“Oh, and Katiya?”

“Yeah, Loki?”

“I love you too… And I’ve no reason to be afraid of that.”

This is not what he wanted. This was definitely not his intention.

Panic set in after Scotlynn fell onto the ground, limp. He had accidentally hit her with his power, and she was... Gone. There was no coming back from such a force, well... For many people. 

Everything had gone silent for him. Hell, he didn't even realize that he was confessing his feelings as he held her carefully. Thor leaned down and pressed his lips to hers, carefully holding the back of her head. He was slow as he pulled away, regret setting in...

And not even a minute later... Her eyes fluttered open. 

Scotlynn shifted slightly, wincing in pain. "Thor...?" She murmured. "Wha... What happened...?" She continued, confused.

Thor tensed a bit. What was he supposed to tell her?! He couldn't... He couldn't tell her all of that, he just... He couldn't tell her how he felt.

The only response he could muster was: "A-A small accident, that was my fault, of course. However, I'm glad you're okay, Scotlynn... Thought you were.... Gone for a moment."

"Well, it'll take more than an accident to get me"

"Right..."

From the distance, Katiya and Loki watched. 

"Will he ever truly confess? This is all starting to become less amusing than I thought it would be..."

"Patience, Loki. Telling someone you love them takes time. He's just lucky that she wasn't... Awake or aware, or things really would've gotten awkward."

"I... Supoose you're right, my love."

"Yep. Besides, I recall you took a while to confess."

"Since when am I the subject of this conversation?!"

"Since now."

It was like Loki could practically sense her sadness.

“What’s on your mind?”

Rosegold seemed to snap out of whatever mindset she had put herself in, and had almost immediately noticed Loki in the room.

“Oh, uhm… Nothing.”

“Rosegold. You and I both know that’s a lie.”

“Heh, you got me…”

Loki sat down next to her, intertwining one of her hands with one of his own. He looked at Rosegold with concern. “Are you going to tell me?”

“It’s… It’s pretty silly. I-I don’t wanna bother you with it.”

Loki sighs, closing his eyes for a moment. He then opened them after a few seconds of silence. “Rosegold… You know you are free to talk to me, Katiya, or the both of us about anything. We’re willing to listen. I’m willing to listen.”

Rosegold looked at Loki. “R-Really?”

“Of course.”

Loki was met with a hug from Rosegold, her face buried in his chest. A soft smile graced his lips, and he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head.

“I’m always here to listen.”
