Star: Akihiko (P3) vs Teddie (P4) vs Hifumi (P5) FUCKING PLUS 3 TO TEDDIE FOR BEING A TREMENDOUS STAR. +1 to P3 for Akihiko. 0 to P5 bc I don't get the angle.

Moon: Shinjiro (P3) vs that one girl (P4) vs Mishima (P5) Fuck Mishimia. He's an amazing Moon. +2 to P5, zero to the others.

Sun: Akinari (P3) vs Yumi (P4) vs Yoshida (P5) -1 to P4 bc the Sun link sucks. +2 to P3 and P5 for AMAZING Sun links. Yoshida may be the most nuanced take on any NPC's Arcana.

Judgement: Nyx Squad (P3) vs Truth Dudes (P4) vs Sae (P5) P5 gets +1 bc at least they fucking tried, P3 and P4 were just tagged on and superfluous.

World/Universe: Reverie III vs Reverie IV vs Reverie V Reverie The Fourth loses HARD here bc the point of the World is coming to the end of a journey and being changed for it and he doesn't have enough personality to be changed. -1 to P4 Reverie the Third is a decent one who went through a lot and has enough personal stakes that I buy it. +1 to P3 I hate to say it but Reverie the Fifth gets +2. He feels the most complete of them all, so for the Arcana of Completion, or the Whole, it has to be him.

Okay I have no idea what that tallies up to, lemme see.

Persona 3: 10 points Persona 4: 4 points (OUCH) Persona 5: 19 FUCKING POINTS WOW THAT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE

My math might be wrong bc I suck at math (yay, dyscalculia) but that is a huge margin for error.

Honestly, makes sense. Like I said in the post-mortem, P5 succeeds in a lot of ways just for having actual adults available for the arcanas. P4 and P3 are so strongly limited to your classmates, there is only so many ways to make a high school student wacky and weird in a way congruent to their Arcana.

P5 has the worst Emperor in the series by far but it has the best Justice easily and possibly the best Sun and honestly a lot of the NPC SLinks are Just Really Good.

So yeah, P5 wins at something at last.

ZOMBIE 100: L'ANIME ARRIVERÀ QUESTA ESTATE, SIETE PRONTI A SOPRAVVIVERE ALL'APOCALISSE ZOMBIE?

La serie è sceneggiata da Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro) e diretta da Kazuki Kawagoe (Komi Can't Communicate).

Continua la streak di J-POP Manga, con l'annuncio più che auspicato dell'anime di ZOMBIE 100: CENTO COSA DA FARE PRIMA DI NON-MORIRE.

La coloratissima apocalisse zombie della popolare horror action comedy, firmata da Haro Aso (Alice in Borderland) e Kotaro Takata (I Am Sherlock), sbarcherà in tv a partire da luglio!

Di seguito c'è il primo teaser ufficiale e non è per niente male; il mood e lo stile ci sono tutti e la qualità generale pare alta, i presupposti per un ottimo adattamento ci sono tutti insomma.

La serie tv segna la seconda prova alla regia di Kazuki Kawagoe (Komi Can't Communicate) e sta venendo realizzata presso il neonato studio BUG FILMS, fondato a fine 2021 da Twin Engine, compagnia di produzione alla quale ruotano attorno STUDIO COLORIDO, GENO STUDIO, STUDIO KAFKA e altri.

Hanako Ueda partecipa come assistente di regia, mentre la sceneggiatura e il character design sono ad opera, rispettivamente, da Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro, Mob Psycho 100) e Kii Tanaka (Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, So I'm a Spider So What?).

La colonna sonora è stata composta da Makoto Miyazaki (Spy×Family, One Punch Man 2) dei KNoW_NAME e la selezione musicale in generale è stata curata da Maiko Gouda (Chainsaw Man), il cui gusto in fatto di artisti credo sia stato ampiamente dimostrato ultimamente, direi.

Dopo aver passato anni difficili come vero e proprio schiavo in un’azienda che lo sfrutta, Akira non fa che guardare film di zombi con occhi spenti e invidiosi: sopravvivere a un’apocalisse zombi sarebbe meglio delle sue attuali giornate! Poi una mattina, di colpo… l’intera città pullula di zombi! Anche se gli tocca correre per salvarsi la vita, Akira non si è mai sentito più libero e inizia per lui un’importante missione: completare le 100 cose da fare sulla sua lista dei desideri prima che anche lui diventi uno zombie!

Il manga viene serializzato sulle pagine della rivista Sunday Gene-X dall'ottobre 2019 e Shogakukan ne pubblicherà il 13° volumetto il prossimo 17 febbraio. Come vi ho già accennato in apertura, il fumetto è disponibile anche qua in Italia, edito da J-POP Manga.

Sempre nel corso di questo 2023, arriverà su anche un film live action, in streaming su Netflix, diretto da Yusuke Ishida (Shin Godzilla, Re:Mind).

There will always be at the very least one character on the outside who Ships It.  Like, even in my original work this is a thing.

what character(s) or pairing I’d most likely write it for

RobStar is one of the big ones.  That’s an In-Universe thing in fact, so yeah, pretty much everyone has commented on it at one point or another.

Kirito/Asuna is another one.  I don’t even acknowledge the harem I just have the other girls be all, “Yeah okay, CLEARLY he is ridiculously in love with her, we have no chance, so let’s just move on with our lives.”  (Which is pretty canon and In-Universe too, but it does seem like at times the other girls are still holding out hope and just… c’mon Reki, it’s not gonna happen.  Quit fooling yourself.)

Aaaaand pretty sure I’ve written Zuko/Mai like this… and Peeta/Katniss… Motoki/Makoto had that In-Universe as well…

GREAT PRETENDER TV Anime Is Previewed in 'Project Promotional Video' With Creators

Space Fishing TV Anime Sora to Umi no Aida Releases 2nd PV for October 3 Premiere

The official website for TMS Entertaunment's upcoming TV anime based on ForwardWorks' smartphone action game Sora to Umi no Aida (Between The Sky and The Sea) has started streaming a two-minute second PV narrated by Karin Takahashi as the protagonist Haru Soramachi, who moves from Tokyo to Onomichi-city, Hiroshima, to become the world's first female space fisherman. She is one of the six trainees who are gathered at the Onomichi Universe Fishery Union.

  It is also confirmed the space fishing-themed anime is set to premiere on TOKYO MX and Sun TV on October 3, then on BS Fuji and AT-X on the following day. In addition, a six-song "vocal song collection" CD including the anime's OP theme "Sora to Umi no Aida" and character songs by the voice cast will be released on November 28.

TV Anime "Hakyu Hoshin Engi" Main Characters Ready for Battle in New Key Visual

The official website for Hakyu Hoshin Engi, the upcoming new TV anime adaptation of Ryu Fujisaki's fantasy action manga Hoshin Engi in the late 1990s, posted a new key visual introducing its 10 main characters, newly designed by Yoshimitsu Yamashita. He is best known as the character designer for Mushibugyo (2013) and Samurai Flamenco (2013), and recently joined Kuroko's Basketball (2015) and Star-mu (2015) as episode animation director. 

  The new TV series produced by C-Station (Dragonar Academy, Star-Mu) will premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, AT-X on January 12, 2018.

TV Anime "Hakyu Hoshin Engi" New PV Introduces OP Song by Fear, and Loathing in LasVegas

At the same time with the stage event at the Jump Festa 2018 event, the official website for Hakyu Hoshin Engi, the upcoming new TV anime adaptation of Ryu Fujisaki's fantasy action manga Hoshin Engi in the late 1990s, posted a 100-second new PV introducing its OP theme song "Keep the Heat and Fire Yourself Up" by five-member electronicore band Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas.

  In addition, the anime's ED song "Madoui Mirai" (The Distant Future) is confirmed to be sung by singer-songwriter Nagi Yanagi. The former will be digitally available from January 12, 2018, while the latter's CD single is scheduled to be released as her 17th single on February 21.

  The new TV series produced by C-Station (Dragonar Academy, Star-Mu) will premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, AT-X on January 12, 2018.

Fujisaki will start serialization of the manga's new short series in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump 

in the spring of 2018. 

  The manga, loosely based on Tsutomu Anou's Japanese translation of Chinese novel Investiture of

the Gods written during the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen

Jump from 1996 to 2000, and compiled in 23 tankobon volumes.
