My Week so Far
There are a ton of unlikely things I read and watch lately, things that are really out of my lane. First, listening about Malachi Martins, a former Jesuit. I actually knew fuck all about this man prior to that podcast experience and gained no significant amount of information afterward, only that he wrote books about the Jesuits, said that the Church is essentially rotten, and was (some people say “claimed to be) an exorcist. For information, I’m not affiliated with those religious institutions and so didn’t feel any sort of disappointment or excitement or whatever, it was moderately informative full stop.
Second, I have been reading a thesis on Howard Barker’s theatre, shockingly, it’s not by David Ian Rabey, the man whose name will always pop up when you search for academic writings on the playwright. I swaggered into reading it as if I know what Howard Barker’s theatre is—which of course I don’t—well, if you count watching Pity in History once (the televised, uploaded to YouTube version that is) and reading some of his poetry which sounds like a well-written rant, then I know a little. Anyway, the thesis is great. I actually have read another writing on Howard Barker in the past, but that one multi contributor book was… have you ever been so knowledgeable and interested in something, and you have so much to say (or too much I should say) that your explanation is the “You have to be there” variety of abstract? That was how the other one felt. This thesis however, gives solid, succinct explanation that I, a layman when it comes to Barker (or British theatre for that matter) can still follow, enjoy, and gain information from it. It’s fun you know to peer at an artist’s ideological shifts and how they manifest in the art. For example, according to the thesis, Barker’s first phase was coloured by traditional Marxism and he did political theatre in that vein, then when he still disliked the Right but now also disenchanted by the Left new or old (his second phase), he began to have daggers up every movement’s throat through his plays.
Yeah, so those are two things I gained from my latest internet travels.
PS: I came to read that thesis because Howard Barker is, safe to say, on the fringes. Some have called his theatre whack but others (like any other fringe author) call him a genius. I just wanted to know, guys.

I would love to know Newton's thoughts on Father Malachi Martin. Despite the fact that he was a Jesuit priest, I actually feel like they'd have more in common than not.
I recently finished listening to all the old Art Bell interviews with Father Martin, and it's eerie how almost everything he predicted is playing out right now. His death in 1999 was a tragedy, but on the other hand, being spared from witnessing the collapse of Western civilization seems like an act of mercy to me.
Now I wish I'd had a cool exorcist grandpa like that.

I picked up the funny Kuhn book on your rec, and noticed Karl Popper on the same shelf, framing himself in contrast. Do you have/know of any good critiques on Popper in general, or his indeterminism in particular? I'm guessing he didn't convince every Marxist and someone's bound to have responded by now.
yea popper sucks. i mean kuhn himself was responding to / critiquing popper; they very famously had a long ongoing dispute. but like i said before, kuhn is also not where it's at imo. like, not that academic citations are the be-all end-all of intellectual value, but there are reasons you don't typically see either of these guys cited by people working in history / philosophy of science these days lol.
anyway in regards to the marxism angle of this i will say: a major problem with hist/philsci is that these disciplines are pretty ensconced in universities (conservative institutionally & intellectually) and have also taken a long time to even start looking beyond the horizons of great man history, the 'western canon', &c. so the lack of marxists / communists in these fields is like, even more pronounced than in academic history more broadly. like it's insane that people like bob young and roger cooter and adrian desmond are still, like, standouts in this respect lol. so, although there are many many marxists who have responded to popper on those terms, and many many historians and philosophers of science who have responded on that side, the sliver of overlap here is a lot smaller than it should be.
i would definitely read with a critical eye and be on the lookout for places where these texts fail specifically because their authors are not engaging in materialist or properly historicised analysis, or are just blatantly reactionary themselves, in different ways to popper. but, a few places to start with political histsci and philsci critiques of him, or just useful accounts of his legacy and critics:

Jeremy Shearmur and Geoffrey Stokes (eds.). <-usual disclaimer that cambridge edited vols. are methodologically, politically, and epistemologically playing it VERY safe. you often want to read them 'backwards', ie, read for what's not being said as much as for what's actually in there. consider this a document that shows what sorts of debates are being permitted, centred, and accepted as 'mainstream' and 'reasonable'.

First Reading Romans 9:1-5 I would willingly be condemned if it could help my brothers.
What I want to say now is no pretence; I say it in union with Christ – it is the truth – my conscience in union with the Holy Spirit assures me of it too. What I want to say is this: my sorrow is so great, my mental anguish so endless, I would willingly be condemned and be cut off from Christ if it could help my brothers of Israel, my own flesh and blood. They were adopted as sons, they were given the glory and the covenants; the Law and the ritual were drawn up for them, and the promises were made to them. They are descended from the patriarchs and from their flesh and blood came Christ who is above all, God for ever blessed! Amen.

De como a Igreja Católica vem sendo destruída desde dentro

A Igreja Católica está enfrentando a pior crise desde a Reforma (1517–1648). Não bastasse a sua debilitação moral-teológica e a decaída de sua condição de “alma do Ocidente”, nestes últimos anos novas denúncias de abusos sexuais envolvendo altos membros do clero vieram à tona. Um relatório de um Grande Júri dos Estados Unidos detalhou os casos de 1.000 crianças abusadas por 300 padres somente no Estado da Pensilvânia ao longo de sete décadas. A persistência dos abusos e seu acobertamento é o que mais choca.
O cardeal Theodore McCarrick (1930-), ex-arcebispo de Washington que desempenhou um papel fundamental na arrecadação de fundos para a Santa Sé por ricos doadores norte-americanos, já havia renunciado ao Colégio dos Cardeais em julho de 2018, acusado de ter abusado sexualmente de um menor e assediado os seminaristas que ele supervisionava.

Em 22 de agosto daquele ano, o arcebispo Carlo Maria Viganò, ex-núncio apostólico nos Estados Unidos e diplomata emérito da Santa Sé, publicou uma carta acusando o Papa Francisco de estar ciente dos abusos sexuais de McCarrick há anos e de ajudar a encobri-los. Em uma extensa entrevista publicada em 10 de junho de 2019 no jornal The Washington Post, Viganò acusou o Papa Francisco de “mentir descaradamente” no caso de McCarrick e reiterou que o Papa sabia desde 2013 dos abusos cometidos pelo ex-arcebispo de Washington DC.

No dia 10 de novembro de 2020, o Vaticano divulgou um relatório de 450 páginas, feito a pedido do Papa Francisco, em que nega ter acobertado o abuso sexual de menores praticado por McCarrick, alçado ao cargo de cardeal um ano depois de ter sido nomeado arcebispo de Washington pelo Papa João Paulo II, que sabia dos rumores sobre sua conduta.

Como a pedofilia não é propriamente um problema que se restringe à Igreja Católica, muito pelo contrário, os escândalos sexuais são invariavelmente tratados como desvios isolados de conduta, colocados à parte e abafados.
Permanentemente exposta é a divisão nas fundações da Igreja, nitidamente rachada entre alas progressistas e conservadoras. Enquanto as progressistas procuram avançar junto com o mundo moderno, fazendo-lhe todo tipo de concessões, as neotradicionalistas — com suas próprias paróquias e seminários — continuam em um curso diferente do restante da Igreja, em uma tentativa quixotesca de restaurar o catolicismo romano e a teologia católica a um modelo anterior ao Concílio Vaticano II e até mesmo anterior ao século XX.
Por muitos caminhos tortuosos, o embate nos primeiros tempos cristãos e na Idade Média com os inimigos da Igreja prosseguiu durante a Idade Moderna e Contemporânea, quando passou da guerra aberta para a penetração pacífica, uma estratégia da Maçonaria e da complexa rede de sociedades secretas sinistras em sua diretiva final de “alçar Satanás ao trono no Vaticano” e de “tornar o Papa o seu escravo”.
No século XX, niilistas e ateus foram exortados para que provocassem deliberadamente uma catástrofe social formidável que, em todo o seu horror, mostrasse claramente às nações o efeito do ateísmo absoluto, da selvageria original e da turbulência mais sangrenta. Arrastadas pelos líderes revolucionários mundiais e destruidores de civilizações, as multidões, desiludidas com o cristianismo e cujos espíritos deístas estariam desde então sem bússola, ansiosas por um novo ideal, mas sem saber onde prestar sua adoração, receberiam a “verdadeira” luz através da manifestação universal da pura doutrina de Lúcifer, trazida finalmente à vista do público, uma manifestação que resultaria do movimento revolucionário geral que se seguiria à destruição do cristianismo e da Igreja Católica, ambas ao mesmo tempo.
Para os Illuminati e os ocultistas, Lúcifer ou Satanás é benigno. Filosoficamente, religiosamente, ou o que quer que seja, não importa. Lúcifer é bom para eles. Lúcifer é simbolicamente o salvador por causa do conhecimento proibido, o autoconhecimento e o raciocínio intelectual que ele (figurativamente, metaforicamente ou literalmente) dá aos humanos, junto com a capacidade de pensar racionalmente e elevá-los a deuses entre todos os outros animais na Terra.

Se a inteligência clama pelo reconhecimento de um deus, elas encontrariam um em Lúcifer, filho da manhã e portador da luz, o mais brilhante dos arcanjos que liderou a revolução celestial na tentativa de se tornar igual a Deus. O credo luciferiano foi altamente desenvolvido, promulgado e disseminado, sob diversos aspectos e nomes, em espectros multiculturais.
Os objetivos finais dessa elite ocultista macabra, isto é, da Maçonaria e dos Illuminati, consiste no estabelecimento de uma Nova Ordem Mundial, de um Governo Único Mundial e de uma Religião Mundial. A primeira meta, a de uma Nova Ordem Mundial, se consolida agora com o engodo da Divoc, que estendeu o controle totalitário aos recônditos mais distantes e isolados do planeta, engolfando desde a economia aos últimos recintos da vida privada e até o âmago dos próprios pensamentos.
E os clamores pela dissolução ou destruição de nações individuais, o estabelecimento de uma economia única e harmonicamente abrangente, “no interesse da paz e da conservação da humanidade”, já se fazem sentir por todos os lados.
Logo, um Governo Mundial e, para completar, uma Religião Mundial, um culto unificado acessível apenas a uns poucos eleitos das camadas superiores que por fora mantém uma aparência de religião tradicional, mas por dentro é puro ocultismo e satanismo comandado pelos altos iniciados, os próximos passos que faltam para o domínio total, não demorarão a ser implementados.

A Igreja Católica (do grego katholikos = universal), pelo seu poder e influência que vieram com a promulgação do Édito de Milão em 313 (que garantiu a liberdade de culto para os cristãos, restituiu-lhes os bens confiscados, aboliu o suplício na cruz e os combates de gladiadores) por Constantino [Flavius Valerius Constantinus (272–337), cognominado o Grande, Senhor do Ocidente], sem o qual certamente o paganismo teria triunfado e a religião cristã sido extinta (coroado imperador, Constantino fez do cristianismo a religião oficial do Estado romano, quase 300 anos depois da crucificação de Cristo), como não poderia deixar de ser vem sendo usada, ainda mais nos últimos anos, como um dos instrumentos mais eficazes e de maior abrangência pela elite ocultista macabra para atingir esses seus intentos, e para tanto nela tem infiltrado muitos de seus agentes.
A infiltração comunista na Igreja
A infiltração do comunismo (que nada mais é do que satanismo) na Igreja Católica e em outras religiões é algo por demais evidente. Douglas Hyde (1860–1949), secretário do Partido Comunista Britânico [Communist Party of Britain (CPB)], revelou que nos anos 30 os chefes comunistas enviaram uma diretiva para a escalada mundial da infiltração na Igreja Católica.
Como diretor do jornal The Daily Worker, Hyde tinha que refutar escritores católicos como Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936), e cada vez que fazia isso ficava impressionado pelo confronto das ideias. Em certa ocasião, ao entrar numa igreja, num recanto escuro, defronte à imagem da Virgem Santíssima, foi profundamente tocado: “Era feliz. Dei-me conta de que minha dolorosa peregrinação terminara. Murmurei: ‘Senhora tão meiga e tão boa, sê boa para mim!’.”

A italiana Bella Visono Dodd (1904–1969) foi agente soviética e membro do Partido Comunista dos Estados Unidos, o Communist Party of America (CPUSA) nos anos 1930 e 40. Em 1952, ela ingressou na Igreja Católica sob a orientação do então bispo (depois arcebispo) Fulton Sheen. No início de 1953, em pleno macartismo, período marcado pelas ações de caça aos comunistas conduzido pelo senador Joseph Raymond McCarthy (1909–1957) e sua Comissão de Atividades Anti-Americanas, consentiu em dar, pela primeira vez, informações pormenorizadas acerca da infiltração comunista nas instituições dos Estados Unidos. Ela testemunhou perante o Senado norte-americano sobre a infiltração do CPUSA nos sindicatos e outras instituições.

E essas foram de tal magnitude, que nem mesmo um jornal esquerdista como o The New York Times pôde deixar de noticiá-las, tanto que destacou na primeira página de sua edição de 11 de março de 1953 que Bella havia jurado no dia anterior, perante a Subcomissão do Senado de Segurança Interna (Senate Subcommittee on Internal Security), “que os comunistas tinham se infiltrado em muitos escritórios do Congresso e agiam disfarçados de assessores do próprio presidente dos Estados Unidos”. O mesmo jornal reportou em sua edição de 8 de março de 1954, que Bella “advertiu ontem que a ‘filosofia materialista’ que agora orientava a educação pública, acabaria por desmoralizar a nação”.

Logo depois, naquele ano de 1954, Bella teve publicado o seu livro The School of Darkness: The Record of a Life and of a Conflict Between Two Faiths [publicado no Brasil em 2020 pela editora Ecclesiae sob o título Escola das Trevas: o Registro de uma Vida e de um Conflito Entre Duas Crenças (Campinas, SP)], no qual denunciava que o comunismo era um artifício perpetrado por financistas “para controlar o homem comum”.
Bella descreve o comunismo como “um estranho culto secreto” cujo objetivo é destruir a civilização ocidental cristã. Milhões de idiotas idealistas (“inocentes”) são enganados pelo discurso de ajuda aos pobres que na verdade visa somente o poder. O Partido Comunista age por meio da infiltração e subversão de instituições sociais como igrejas, escolas, mídia e administração pública. O objetivo é “criar novos modelos de seres humanos que obedecem ao projeto mundial que eles pretendem implementar”.

Segundo Bella, o objetivo era acabar com a família tradicional para que no final restasse apenas a tirania do Partido e do Estado: “O partido fez o que pôde para induzir as mulheres a entrarem na indústria. Seus estilistas de moda criaram modelos próprios para elas e compositores escreveram músicas especiais para estimulá-las… As condições do período de guerra, conforme planejavam, se tornariam uma parte permanente do futuro programa educacional. Procurava-se tornar antiquada a família burguesa enquanto unidade social”.
Para tanto, Dodd ajudou a organizar o “Congresso de Mulheres Americanas”, um precursor do movimento feminista. “Uma vez que era, alegadamente, um movimento pela paz, atraiu muitas mulheres. Mas era realmente apenas uma renovada ofensiva para controlar as mulheres americanas… Como a juventude e os grupos de minorias, elas eram consideradas uma reserva de forças da revolução, porque eram manipuladas mais facilmente por apelos emocionais”.
De acordo com ela, “a chave da escravidão mental da humanidade é transformar o indivíduo em nada e fazer ele operar como uma parte física de um alto grupo de inteligência”. Ficou claro para ela que aquilo “era o conluio entre duas forças: os comunistas com o seu projeto de controle mundial, e certas forças mercenárias do mundo livre empenhadas em lucrar por meio do sangue”.
Bella detalhou que a infiltração comunista na Igreja estava sendo feita por milhares de agentes encarregados de colocar em seminários e outras instituições religiosas o maior número possível de “adormecidos”, isto é, agentes que de imediato não desempenhariam nenhum papel ativo, mas que ficariam aguardando que fossem ordenados e subissem até ocupar posições de influência e autoridade como monsenhores e bispos.
Bella confessou que ela mesma teria ajudado a colocar, nos anos 30, mais de 1.100 homens no sacerdócio para destruir a Igreja a partir do seu interior, muitos dos quais, naquele momento, já ocupavam os mais altos cargos da Igreja.

A ideia geral era a de destruir antes a fé do povo usando a própria instituição da Igreja, que para tanto deveria se converter em uma pseudo-religião, qualquer coisa parecida com o catolicismo, mas que já não seria mais o autêntico catolicismo: “Assim que a fé fosse destruída”, explicou ela, introduzir-se-ia na Igreja um complexo de culpa “para estigmatizar a ‘Igreja do passado’ como opressiva, autoritária, cheia de preconceitos, arrogante ao afirmar-se como única possuidora da verdade, além de responsável pelas divisões das comunidades religiosas através dos séculos. Isto seria necessário para que os responsáveis da Igreja, envergonhados, adotassem uma ‘abertura ao Mundo’ e uma atitude mais flexível para com todas as religiões e filosofias. Os comunistas explorariam então essa abertura para enfraquecer insidiosamente a Igreja e implementar mudanças que de tão radicais não mais reconheceríamos a Igreja Católica.”
Responsável pela conversão de Bella ao catolicismo, o arcebispo norte-americano Fulton J. Sheen (1895–1979), decretado Venerável pelo Papa Bento XVI (de 2005 a 2013) em 28 de Junho de 2012, também havia previsto que “Ele [Satanás] criará uma contra-igreja que será o macaco da Igreja, porque ele, o Diabo, é o macaco de Deus. Ela terá todas as notas e as características da Igreja, mas no sentido inverso e esvaziada do seu divino conteúdo. Será um corpo místico do anticristo que vai em todas as aparências assemelhando-se ao corpo místico de Cristo. Em seguida, será verificado um paradoxo: as muitas acusações com que os homens no século passado rejeitaram a Igreja, serão as razões pelas quais passarão a aceitar a contra-igreja.” (Communism and the Conscience of the West, Bobbs-Merrill, 1948, pp. 24–25).
O Concílio Vaticano II
Tudo o que Bella disse cumpriu-se ao pé da letra — não que ela fosse uma profetisa, visto que apenas expôs um plano macabro do qual tomara parte e se arrependera — menos de uma década depois com aquele que até o momento é o último Concílio Ecumênico, o Vaticano II, que se reuniu de 1962 a 1965 no próprio Vaticano, sob a presidência dos papas João XXIII (1881–1963, eleito em 1958) e Paulo VI (1897–1978, eleito em 1963), e que foi e continua sendo elogiado por muitos como o concílio que promoveu “a abertura para os grandes temas da atualidade no mundo”, mas que não foi senão um deliberado e devastador assalto à Igreja e à fé católicas.
Os “reformistas” ou “neomodernistas” lograram destruir todo e qualquer vestígio da Igreja e da fé tradicionais ao orientarem a Igreja para uma direção completamente nova, no que a atualização do rito da Missa, que passou a ser rezada não mais em latim (que sempre foi odiado pelos inimigos da Igreja), mas em língua vernácula, constitui um tímido exemplo quando comparada às nefandas resoluções de se estabelecer um “diálogo” com comunistas e maçons, seus inimigos declarados, e de se abandonar o ensinamento de que a Igreja Católica Romana é exclusivamente a única e verdadeira Igreja de Cristo, dispensando-a assim de procurar a reconversão e o regresso dos hereges e cismáticos.
Como se não bastasse tamanhos disparates de tão novas e estranhas ideias, a Igreja pós-Vaticano II incorreu na demolição da Liturgia, da Teologia e da própria Alma da Igreja. Para uma visão mais abrangente a esse respeito, recomendo a leitura de minha matéria “Os 60 anos do início do Concílio Vaticano II, da edificação da Anti-Igreja e da fusão com a Religião Mundial”.
Em A Crucificação de São Pedro: A Paixão da Igreja” (2009), Pascal Bernardin, autor de Maquiavel Pedagogo (1995) e O Império Ecológico ou a Subversão da Ecologia pelo Globalismo (1998), demonstra que o Concílio Vaticano II pôs em marcha um processo de autodestruição da Igreja, que a abalou desde seus fundamentos. Como consequência, todos os países católicos e todas as nações foram gravemente afetados.
Bernardin conclui que o Concílio Vaticano II e a Nova Teologia inspiraram-se na doutrina panteísta da Maçonaria, que confunde o Criador e a criatura, a natureza e a graça. Esta “Espiritualidade Global” será a Religião Global, indissoluvelmente ligada ao Governo Global. Compreendemos melhor, nessa perspectiva, porque a igreja Conciliar tinha necessidade do Concílio Vaticano II e porque esta igreja apóstata — que não tem mais nada a ver com a autêntica Igreja Católica — deve se fundir à Religião Universal em curso de edificação.
Bernardin mostra ainda porque o espírito maçônico soprou sobre o Vaticano II: “A História da Humanidade é a história da salvação e da luta entre as Duas Cidades pela conquista das almas, única questão que vale a pena. De essência diabólica, a Revolução é uma revolta contra Deus, inspirada constantemente por Satã. Seu fim último é a destruição da Igreja e a edificação da Contra-Igreja. Com esta verdade elementar esquecida, o fio condutor partido, a História se obscurece, perde seu sentido e se torna um mistério incompreensível.”

O último Papa Paulo foi Camillo Borghese, ordenado em 1605 e que morreu em 1621. Em 21 de junho de 1963, por sua vez, o Cardeal Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria Montini foi eleito Papa, tomando o nome de Paulo VI. Martin detalha então que esse ritual satânico foi realizado na Capela Paulina [Cappella Paolina, uma famosa capela que serve como igreja paroquial no Palácio do Vaticano, construída pelo Papa Paulo III (1468–1549, eleito em 1534) daí seu nome], na noite entre 28 e 29 de junho de 1963, uma semana após a eleição de Paulo VI, a fim de entronizar Satanás no coração da Cristandade.

Martin denuncia ainda que pelo menos em três grandes cidades dos Estados Unidos, membros do clero têm à sua disposição pelo menos um coven (local de encontro para o ritual satânico) pedófilo, frequentado e mantido exclusivamente para membros do clero. “De repente, tornou-se indiscutível que agora durante este papado, a Igreja Católica Romana organizou uma presença permanente de clérigos que adoravam Satanás”, escreve Martin.

Não é à toa, portanto, que tantos casos de pedofilia envolvendo desde padres a bispos e cardeais, têm sido trazidos à tona nos últimos tempos. Sabemos que crianças e púberes são os preferidas pelos satanistas devido a sua “energia mais pura”.
Uma das discussões mais marcantes do livro é a respeito do papa eslavo (supostamente João Paulo II). Este se apresenta como um campeão da vida, lutando com todas as suas forças contra o aborto, a eutanásia, contra a ruína da estrutura familiar. Entretanto, ele abandonou a tarefa de vigiar pela ortodoxia dos fiéis e do clero, e promoveu um ecumenismo insano e insensato. Ao longo do livro, Malachi Martin oferece diversas opiniões a respeito do Sumo Pontífice e sobre toda a sua ambiguidade, revelando ao final do livro o que entende ser o pensamento do Papa e porque ele age de maneira tão heterodoxa em assuntos cruciais da Igreja, e ainda, porque ele se recusa a punir bispos e teólogos rebeldes e hereges.
O papa João Paulo II (1920–2005, eleito em 1978), que se de um lado engajou-se pessoalmente para livrar o Leste Europeu e a sua terra natal, a Polônia, das garras do comunismo, do outro pouco fez para deter o avanço das correntes ditas “progressistas” como a Teologia da Libertação na América Latina, mormente no Brasil, deixando, por exemplo, de extirpar os quadros assumidamente marxistas, limitando-se a aplicar-lhes tímidas recomendações e reprimendas.

No início de 1981, ainda praticamente no início, portanto, de seu pontificado, descreveu com dramaticidade a crise e o paroxismo a que chegara a Igreja e os católicos pós-Vaticano II, dando-nos a esperança de que pudesse modificar tal situação que, no entanto, para nos causar ainda mais espécie, só se agravou nos últimos anos:
“Temos que admitir realisticamente e com sentimentos de intensa dor que hoje os Cristãos, na sua grande parte, sentem-se perdidos, confusos, perplexos e mesmo desapontados; abundantemente se espalham ideias contrárias à verdade que foi revelada e que sempre foi ensinada; heresias, no sentido lato e próprio da palavra, propagaram-se na área do dogma e da moral, criando dúvidas, confusões e rebelião; a liturgia foi adulterada. Imersos num relativismo intelectual e moral e, portanto, no permissivismo, os Cristãos são tentados pelo ateísmo, pelo agnosticismo, por um iluminismo vagamente moral e por um Cristianismo sociológico desprovido de dogmas definidos ou de uma moralidade objetiva.” (Citado em L’Osservatore Romano, 07–02–1981).
Malachi Martin conta ainda em seu livro que na Rússia existe uma indústria de aborto que processa fetos abortados como se fossem uma matéria-prima qualquer. O Papa teria visto um vídeo no qual os bebês são abortados e colocados numa linha de produção industrial onde são esquartejados (alguns ainda vivos), empacotados e remetidos a várias partes do mundo para indústrias de cosméticos e centros de pesquisa.
Segundo Martin, a elite oculta macabra teria engendrado a Guerra da Bósnia, e também teriam decretado o fim da existência da União Soviética. A Guerra da Bósnia foi planejada para que o mundo se acostumasse com a ideia de que uma forca multinacional pode agir em conflitos nacionais, dando assim mais autonomia e direitos de ação à ONU.

De acordo com Martin, não existe coincidência no fato do aborto, da eutanásia e da destruição da estrutura familiar através da promoção do homossexualismo e da libertinagem estarem na ordem do dia de vários países ao redor do mundo. Ele alega que o que existe é um esforço coordenado. O que é feito localmente, e feito para atender ao interesse de tal grupo de pessoas que controlam a política internacional.
O grande objetivo da elite oculta macabra, segundo Martin, é implantar o “Processo” ou, melhor dizendo, “The Craft” (ou a “obra”) como é conhecido nos ambientes maçônicos. O processo consiste em unificar o mundo econômica, política, social e principalmente religiosamente, de forma a se atingir uma Nova Ordem Mundial (New World Order), ou seja, a implantação prática da Utopia. Este objetivo é partilhado pelos maçons e pelos satanistas, que é fazer toda a humanidade adorar a Lúcifer como Único deus.
Este processo possui quatro etapas distintas:
Congelamento (freezing) — o agente de mudanças ‘congela’ a atenção e a experiência do grupo em seu próprio isolamento e vulnerabilidade.
Descongelamento ou desagregação (unfreezing) — o agente distancia os membros da audiência dos valores “velhos” nos quais eles confiavam. Isto, em suma, significa que os valores anteriores são mostrados como não mais apropriados e desejáveis.
Reagregação (reagregation) — Segue com a aceitação da nova estrutura de pensamento proposta pelo agente (facilitador).
Rotinização (routining) — As novas estruturas de pensamento são incorporadas no fluxo diário normal.
Conforme assinalou Malachi Martin, nós, de fato, já vivemos sob a égide de uma Nova Ordem Mundial, onde os principais acontecimentos nacionais atendem a interesses globalistas, e onde uma pequena minoria de pessoas que controlam as finanças mundiais, também controlam e manipulam a política internacional, tal é a dependência dos estados modernos do sistema financeiro internacional.

Sob o domínio do mal
A disseminação do mal por toda parte, dominando a tudo e a todos, é a realidade no qual nos encontramos mergulhados neste início de século XXI. Afinal, o mundo de hoje, mais do que nunca, não é daqueles que praticam o mal em micro ou macro escala? E não estamos vendo acontecer, todos os dias, todas as horas, bem diante de nós, tantas cenas de horror verdadeiramente satânicas?
Os que combatem o mal de frente e não ficam meramente na defensiva, sempre foram e continuam sendo muito poucos, e estes por vezes são até combatidos por aqueles que só ficam na defensiva, e que se não combatem o mal, seja por fraqueza, covardia ou até por interesses mesquinhos em obter desses que praticam o mal alguma vantagem, o que os tornam tão piores quanto, combatem os que combatem o mal. A maioria prefere mesmo praticar o mal, já que aí se junta à maioria, e as pessoas, na dúvida, optam por seguir o rebanho. Entre o bem e o mal, a opção preferida é quase sempre o mal, que traz de imediato e até a médio e longo prazos, em se referindo a esta vida e a esta época de injustiças, todo tipo de benefícios, já que seus adeptos, além de não serem combatidos, considerando serem cada vez em menor número os que ainda insistem em continuar combatendo o mal, contam com os préstimos, a proteção e os favores de Satanás.
Ora, cinco séculos de modernidade com o seu primado da “razão iluminada”, reforçados pelo laicismo, pelo cientificismo, pelo positivismo e pelo materialismo que vieram em seu bojo, acabaram por fazer com que a maioria passasse a duvidar da existência de Satanás e das demais potências divinas e espirituais, colocando o homem no centro de tudo, substituindo o teocentrismo pelo antropocentrismo, atribuindo, pois, aos homens e somente aos homens, a causa, as consequências e toda a obra que se ergueu neste mundo.
Não haveria nem mesmo, portanto, vida após a morte, Céu, Purgatório ou Inferno, quanto mais um Juízo Final. E o que temos e vemos hoje é exatamente isto, ou seja, a valorização excessiva desta vida, a busca incessante da “reconciliação com o mundo” — conforme orientou o infame Concílio Vaticano II, em contraposição ao próprio Cristo que concitou para que voltássemos as costas para este mundo dominado por Satanás, pois Seu Reino “não é deste mundo” –, a prevalência do imediatismo e do hedonismo, afinal, não haveria nada mais além desta vida, e só o que nos restaria seria aproveitá-la ao máximo.

The Bible Catholics use is called the canon. The Catholic canon contains a total of 73 books and letters vs the Protestant Bible which only has 66.

How do you know that the Bible you use is the right one?
As Catholics, we know any Bible which contains any of the canon books is good to use but also be mindful of translations! For example, I personally stay away from ones that are harder to understand like King James and that one that Joyce Meyer sometimes uses called the Amplified Bible where it adds words that weren’t there before.
How did the canon come about? “In about 367 AD, St. Athanasius came up with a list of 73 books for the Bible that he believed to be divinely inspired. This list was finally approved by Pope Damasus I in 382 AD, and was formally approved by the Church Council of Rome in that same year. Later Councils at Hippo (393 AD) and Carthage (397 AD) ratified this list of 73 books. In 405 AD, Pope Innocent I wrote a letter to the Bishop of Toulouse reaffirming this canon of 73 books. In 419 AD, the Council of Carthage reaffirmed this list, to which Pope Boniface agreed. The Council of Trent, in 1546, reaffirmed St. Athanasius’s original list of 73 books.” In the 16th century, around the year 1517, Martin Luther established the Protestant reformation. Disliking some of the books found in the canon when creating his new concept of theology and Sola scriptura (meaning by scripture alone), Martin Luther took out Sirach, Wisdom, Tobit, 1 Maccabees, Judith, additions to Daniel, and Esther.
Sooo why do we have the canon as Catholics? Our Catechism of the Catholic Church says:
“105 God is the author of Sacred Scripture. “The divinely revealed realities, which are contained and presented in the text of Sacred Scripture, have been written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.” “For Holy Mother Church, relying on the faith of apostolic age, accepts as sacred and canonical the books of the Old and the New Testaments, whole and entire, with all their parts, on the grounds that, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they have God as their author and have been handed on as such to the Church herself.” - #105, page 36. Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition.
Catholicism is the original church established by Jesus Christ on the day of Pentecost. I love the canon and tradition.
Why is the Latin Mass in Latin?
The Latin Mass is in the language of Latin for a few reason. Once widely spoken long ago, it is now a dead language. To this day it is still the official language of the Church. Using Latin preserves the Latin Rite’s words from being changed in error that we can find in changes to vernacular languages especially English. At the time of Jesus there was an ancient Jewish tradition that just before the coming of the Messiah God would send the prophet Elijah back to earth to prepare people for the Messiah’s coming. ‘I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of parents towards their children and of children towards their parents…’ (Malachi 4:5-6). That tradition is behind the question of the disciples to Jesus in today’s gospel reading, ‘Why do the scribes say then that Elijah must come first?’ Jesus identifies John the Baptist as the promised Elijah, and, by implication, he is identifying himself as the Messiah. Yet, as Jesus goes on to say, ‘they treated him (John the Baptist) as they pleased’. John had been beheaded by Herod Antipas. Jesus then announces that he will suffer the same hostile fate as John the Baptist, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly’. Jesus announces that his contemporaries have rejected God’s messenger sent to announce the coming of the Lord and they are soon to reject the Lord himself. We can all fail to recognize God’s messengers. We can even fail to recognize the Lord himself when he comes to us. Advent is a time when we pray the prayer, ‘Come, Lord Jesus’. We might also need to pray the prayer, ‘Lord, help me to recognize you when you come’. The Lord can come to us in ways that we had not expected. He can come to us even in and through those circumstances of our lives that seem to suggest the Lord is absent. He can come to us through people whom we might not associate with the Lord. The Lord is always coming in a whole variety of guises. He is often most powerfully present at those moments when we sense his absence. We pray this Advent for eyes to recognize his various comings to us.

(ii) Saturday, Second Week of Advent
We hear a great deal about John the Baptist in the Season of Advent. He has been rightly referred to as the great Advent Saint. He features particularly in the opening two weeks of Advent. After that, the other great Advent Saint, Mary, the mother of Jesus, begins to feature more prominently in the church’s liturgy. In this morning’s gospel reading, Jesus identifies John the Baptist with the prophet Elijah. There had been an expectation that Elijah would come just before the Messiah would come. Jesus identifies John as that Elijah figure. Yet, by the time Jesus speaks in this morning’s gospel reading from Matthew John had already been beheaded. In the words of the gospel reading, ‘they treated him as they pleased’. Matthew presents Jesus in our gospel reading foreseeing his own death in the death of John. Both were prophets who disturbed certain vested interests and both paid the ultimate price. Even as we approach the feast of the birth of Jesus we are being reminded of how Jesus’ life would end. The fate of both John and Jesus reminds us that proclaiming the gospel of God in word and deed brings its own cost. It will not always be well received. That is why, if we are to be courageous in our living of the faith, we need to keep asking for the Lord’s help. A verse from today’s responsorial psalm would be a fitting prayer, ‘O Lord, rouse up your might, O Lord, come to our help’.

 (iii) Saturday, Second Week of Advent
In this morning’s gospel reading Jesus identifies John the Baptist with the prophet Elijah. It was believed that Elijah would come just before the coming of the long awaited Messiah. Jesus says of John the Baptist, the long awaited Elijah figure, that ‘they did not recognize him, but treated him as they pleased’. The experience of John the Baptist would become the experience of Jesus himself, as Jesus says in that reading, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly at their hands’. Both John and Jesus proclaimed the values of God’s kingdom and both of them suffered greatly for doing so. Even as we draw nearer to celebrating the joyful event of the birth of Jesus we are being reminded of the cross that awaited this child. I have a print of a painting of the birth of Jesus by the German artist Sieger Köder and at the bottom of the painting there is an image of the adult Christ under the beam of the cross looking upon the baby. At Christmas we celebrate the good news that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son. This morning’s gospel reminds us that God’s giving was a giving-unto-death, a giving that cost not less than everything. It is this costly gift that we open our hearts to receive anew at this time of the year, so that we can give to others as God has given to us.

 (iv) Saturday, Second Week of Advent
There was a Jewish tradition in the time of Jesus that the day of the Lord’s coming would be preceded by the coming of a messenger who would prepare the way for the Lord’s coming. According to the prophet Malachi, the last book of the Hebrew Bible, that messenger would be the prophet Elijah who would come from heaven to where he had ascended many centuries before. That is the tradition Jesus’ disciples give expression to in their question to Jesus at the beginning of today’s gospel reading, ‘Why do the scribes say that Elijah has to come first?’ This question reflects an objection to Jesus by the Jewish scribes, ‘if Jesus is God’s anointed one, why has he not been preceded by Elijah, as the Scriptures say he will be?’ Jesus replies by saying that Elijah has come; he is none other than John the Baptist, but people have not recognized John as the messenger of God, the Elijah figure sent before the Lord’s anointed one. Jesus draws attention to the human failure to recognize the messengers God sends. We live in the period after the death and resurrection of Jesus and the risen Lord is constantly sending us his messengers. We too can fail to recognize them. Advent is a time when we are invited to become more attuned to the various ways that the Lord comes to us. Very often he comes to us in ways that forces us to rethink who we are and where we stand. We can be tempted to reject the Lord’s messenger as John the Baptist was rejected by many of his contemporaries. Our resistance can sometimes be a sign that the Lord is trying to break through to us in some new way.

 (v) Saturday, Second Week of Advent
This morning’s gospel reading makes reference to Jesus and his disciples coming down the mountain. The mountain in question is the Mount of Transfiguration. The disciples have had a wonderful experience of Jesus in all his glory on that mountain, so wonderful that Peter wanted to prolong the experience, ‘Let us build three tents...’ As they come down the mountain, the mood changes somewhat. In response to the disciples’ question about the coming of Elijah before the coming of the Messiah, Jesus identifies John the Baptist as that expected Elijah figure. Jesus goes on to say with regard to John the Baptist, ‘they did not recognize him but treated him as they pleased’. Jesus makes reference there to the recent beheading of John the Baptist by Herod Antipas. He also declares that how John was treated is a forewarning of how he himself will be treated, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly at their hands’. After experiencing Jesus’ glory on the mountain the disciples are now faced with the looming reality of Jesus’ violent death. As we are about to enter the third week of Advent and draw closer to the feast of the birth of Jesus, we are being reminded that the child in the manger, the son of Mary, would become the Son of Man who die on a Roman cross because of his faithfulness to the work that God gave him to do. At Christmas we celebrate God’s giving of his Son to us. This morning’s gospel reminds us that this giving was a giving unto death. As the fourth evangelist expresses it, ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only Son’.

(vi) Saturday, Second Week in Advent
In the weeks prior to the feast of Christmas John the Baptist features prominently. In this morning’s gospel reading, Jesus refers to John the Baptist without mentioning him by name. The disciples ask Jesus about the Jewish tradition that the prophet Elijah will come before the coming of God’s anointed one. This tradition is based on a text in the prophet Malachi, ‘I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me… I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes’. In the gospel reading Jesus declares that Elijah has already come and they treated him as they pleased, which is a clear reference to the recent execution of John the Baptist. Jesus sees in what happened to John a sign of what will happen to him, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly at their hands’. We are about to celebrate the birth of Jesus and prior to that we will read the gospel about the birth of John the Baptist. However, this morning’s gospel reading refers to the death of both John the Baptist and Jesus. We are being reminded that we cannot separate the birth of John and Jesus from their death. The cross casts its shadow over the crib of Bethlehem. When we look at the baby in the crib, we cannot but call to mind the good shepherd who laid down his life for his flock, the Son of Man who came not to be served but to serve and to give his life for all. It is that same self-giving love of Jesus that we celebrate at every Eucharist and that is given to us anew at every Eucharist. As Paul reminds us, as often as we eat this bread and drink this cup we proclaim the Lord’s death. We are sent from the Eucharist to live what we have proclaimed, to give what we have received.

(vii) Saturday, Second Week in Advent
When Jesus says in today’s gospel reading, in response to a question of his disciples, that ‘Elijah has come already’, he is referring to John the Baptist. He was the Elijah figure, the prophet whom the Jewish people expected to come just prior to the coming of the Messiah. Jesus says of John the Baptist that ‘they did not recognize him but treated him as they pleased’. By this stage in Jesus’ ministry, John the Baptist had been beheaded by the ruler of Galilee, Herod Antipas. Jesus is saying that people did not appreciate who John the Baptist really was; he was indeed the prophet who was expected to come just before the Messiah. Because they did not recognize him for who he was, they treated him shamefully. Jesus was very aware that the fate of John the Baptist would be his own fate too. Many people would fail to recognize who Jesus really was, would fail to appreciate his true significance, and, as a result, they would do to Jesus what they please, treating him shamefully. The failure to appreciate others, to recognize their true significance, often leads to their being treated badly. Treating others with respect begins with the recognition of their full significance and dignity before God. How we see others will often impact on how we relate to them. Today’s gospel reading suggests that the way people see others can be very limited, and, so how they treat them can leave a lot to be desired. The gospels keep challenging us to refine our seeing, so that we see others in all their God-given dignity and relate to them accordingly.

(viii) Saturday, Second Week in Advent
Today’s gospel reading from Matthew follows on immediately after the story of the transfiguration of Jesus, in which the disciples saw Moses and Elijah speaking with the transfigured Jesus on the mountain. As they come down the mountain, the disciples ask Jesus a question about Elijah, whom they have just seen with Jesus. According to the Jewish Scriptures, Elijah was to return to prepare the way for the Messiah. If Jesus is the Messiah, where is Elijah, they wonder? In response, Jesus identifies John the Baptist with Elijah; John is the prophet who was to come to prepare the way for God’s anointed one. By this time in Jesus’ ministry John the Baptist had been executed by Herod Antipas, and Jesus now announces that he will experience the very same fate. Having witnessed Jesus in all his glory as Son of God on the mountain, it must have been difficult for the disciples to hear Jesus speak about himself as the Son of Man who must suffer as John did. As we approach the feast of Christmas we are being reminded that the baby in the crib became the crucified Son of Man, and that the wood of the manger points ahead to the wood of the cross. Mary’s child was, indeed, God’s loving gift to humanity. ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only Son’. The adult Jesus would, in turn, give himself completely to humanity, out of love, ‘No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends’. The same divine love which we celebrate at Christmas is celebrated again on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Both feasts, Christmas and Easter, call on us to share with each other the love which we have so abundantly received from God through his Son.

 (ix) Saturday, Second Week of Advent
On the mount of transfiguration, the disciples saw Jesus in conversation with Moses and Elijah. In today’s gospel reading, the disciples are coming down the mountain and the disciples ask Jesus about Elijah and the tradition that he would come to prepare God’s people for the coming of the Messiah, the coming of the Lord. If Jesus is Lord and Messiah, where is Elijah, they wonder. Jesus informs his disciples that, in reality, John the Baptist was the promised Elijah. Furthermore, Jesus declares that the fate that John suffered, execution by Herod Antipas, anticipates the fate that he will suffer, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly’. It must have been difficult for Jesus’ disciples to hear him talk about his coming suffering, having just seen him in glory on the mount of transfiguration. Yet, that vision they had assured them that there would be glory for Jesus beyond his suffering and death. What people would do to Jesus would be reversed by God. God the Father would bring his Son through death to a new and glorious life. What God did for Jesus, he can do for us all. God can bring new life out of our own experience of death, whether it is the death at the end of our earthly lives, or the various experiences of death and loss that we have in the course of our earthly lives. If we keep entrusting ourselves to God in those dark times of loss, as Jesus did, then we will find God to be trustworthy, as Jesus did. God is always at work bringing new life out of our various deaths, which is why we can always be people of great hope, and hope is the virtue that is associated in a special way with this season of Advent.

(x) Saturday, Third Week of Advent
There was a tradition among the Jewish people, present in the Jewish Scriptures, that the prophet Elijah would return to earth just before the coming of God’s anointed one, the Messiah, to prepare people for his coming. That is why, at the end of today’s first reading which was written less than two hundred years before Jesus, the author says, ‘Happy shall they be who see you’, in other words, ‘Happy shall they be who see Elijah when he returns’, because they can be assured that the coming of the Messiah is imminent. In the gospel reading, Jesus identifies John the Baptist as the prophet Elijah who had been promised. He had worked to prepare people for the coming of Jesus. Yet, by the time Jesus spoke in today’s gospel reading, John the Baptist had been executed. As Jesus says, ‘they did not recognize him but treated him shamefully’. People should have been happy to have seen Elijah present in John the Baptist, ‘happy shall they be who see you’. Instead, many wanted rid of him. Jesus goes on to say, ‘the Son of Man will suffer similarly at their hands’. People should have been even happier to see Jesus, God’s anointed one, and, yet, some wanted Jesus dead. We don’t always respond well to the gifts and graces that God sends us. We fail to recognize the ways that God is blessing us. We reject God’s gifts to us, or carry on as if they are not there. Today’s gospel reading encourages us to grow in our appreciation of all that God is doing for us, all that God is giving to us, all that God is holding out to us in his love. Advent is a season when we are invited to learn to receive all that comes to us from God. The Advent prayer, ‘Come, Lord Jesus’ is one expression of our desire, our openness, to receive the coming of the Lord and all the blessings he brings with him.

Just compiling some things to use in fanfic, either as reference material or just as things to mention for flavor text. Largely focusing on US publications/media or things I think are fairly big name or would relatively easy to get in the US in the 1980s. 
This is a long post so I’m just gonna cut it here there’s no better place to put it lol

Publications
Anabiosis/Journal of Near-Death Studies - a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the field of near-death studies. Founded in 1982 originally called Anabiosis then got a name change in 1987.
The Equinox (subtitle: The Review of Scientific Illuminism) - a periodical that served as the official organ of the A∴A∴, a magical order founded by Aleister Crowley (although material is often of import to its sister organization, Ordo Templi Orientis). Begun in 1909, it mainly featured articles about occultism and magick, while several issues also contained poetry, fiction, plays, artwork, and biographies. The last issue was published in 1998.
Fate - a U.S. magazine about paranormal phenomena. Fate was founded in 1948. Fate magazine is the longest-running magazine devoted to the paranormal.
Journal of Parapsychology - a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal covering research on psi phenomena, including telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis, as well as human consciousness in general and anomalous experiences. It was established in April 1937.
The Society for Psychical Research (UK) body of publications:
Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research First published in 1882 as a public record of the activities of the SPR, the Proceedings are now reserved for longer pieces of work, such as Presidential Addresses, and are only occasionally published.The current editor is Dr David Vernon.
Journal of the Society for Psychical Research The Journal of the Society for Psychical Research has been published quarterly since 1884. It was introduced as a private, members-only periodical to supplement the Proceedings. It now focuses on current laboratory and field research, but also includes theoretical, methodological and historical papers on parapsychology. It also publishes book reviews and correspondence. The current editor is Dr David Vernon.
Psi Encyclopedia The Psi Encyclopedia is a collection of articles and case studies about psi research, involving the scientific investigation of psychic phenomena. A bequest of Nigel Buckmaster enabled the foundation of the encyclopedia.
UFO Magazine - an American magazine that was devoted to the subject of  unidentified flying objects (UFOs), the extraterrestrial hypothesis (ETH), as well as paranormal and Fortean subjects in general. Founded in 1986, when defunct in 2012.
The New Equinox was a Ritual Magic publication founded in the mid-1970s by Ray Sherwin whose main interest at that time was the magic of Aleister Crowley. It was published between 1976 and 1979.The magazine was based in East Morton in Yorkshire.Tony Venables was joint editor for a few issues. Peter J. Carroll, who later went on, with Ray Sherwin, to found the Illuminates of Thanateros, was a regular contributor.
