Too preoccupied with her own silly little thoughts, the lieutenant barely had a chance to react to the oncoming waffle heading right for her face. Resounding the room with a satisfying PLOP as it finally made contact.

Riley had been dazed for only a second before she began to let out a spirited laugh once she finally realized what just happened.

Taking a determined bite out of the breakfast treat, and giving the smaller woman a focused look, she sprinted after her. Smiling like an idiot with a trail of laughter on her heels.

"Oh, it's on now!"

Voidsight was originally a Decepticon, but due to certain reasons (things Voidsight felt+other minor things), Voidsight left, becoming an Autobot shortly after. Although there’s been moments where Voidsight is like “Maybe I’ll be a neutral” but just never went through actually becoming one, and stays with the Autobots.

V.S. was also a decently well known ‘Con. Not really feared or anything, just well known.

His orders were pretty clear: Do not engage the Autobots. Scout for energon. Tag it, flag it, move to the next energon reading.

So, technically this wasn’t engaging with the enemy. It was just ... Recon. He’d watched this little rust red organic toted around by the autobots like a little fashion accessory. Once, with THE Optimus Prime himself, had she touched the upholstery? Was it nice?, and a twice with various members of the autobots.  One time, could be deemed a detoured rescue of the lost widdle organic.  Twice? Three times? Nah mate. That was association and Seacrest could get some pretty valuable details from it.

Despite all that ridiculous and unbuoyant kibble, the Autobots were quite smart not to bring their little gremlins into potentially Decepticon occupied mine shafts. Made inching closer easier. Honestly? He was surprised for being mostly orange he got as close to the little thing as he did before it started hollerin’.  One energon cube popped over her like some wayward scraplet and upending it to pop his servo over the top in the most genius impromptu trap, and Seacrest was fraggin sprinting before The Reds’ came out of the cave.

Aw, lookit its lil servos bibbity bappin the glass. It’s so cute and tiny! ... Maybe Blacktip would let him find and keep his own little Terran. He might need to ask Swindle for a care sheet on humans...

“Yooou... must be the one in charge for the rescue bots team, am I right?” she gave a polite bow to the other one.

A brief message from Optimus had mentioned someone coming to visit the island. Heatwave had caught only the first half of a name before a crashing sound in the background had briefly drowned out the Autobot leader’s voice. The last thing he had heard was Ratchet yelling “WHEELJACK!!!” Before the audio cut out completely and the transmission ended.

“Yes, I am.”

The firebot returned the bow before dropping to one knee so that he wasn’t looming over the human.

“My name is Heatwave… and I’m sorry, but I didn’t get to catch your name or the reason for your visit when Optimus told me you were coming.”

It was after a while that Malika decided to change place from time to time: when she was needed at the base, herpresence was fully for the Team Prime, but whenever things got in a very slow pase, or the others were outside in group, it happened that the girl began to travel into the groundbridge for going into Griffin Rock's base and see how things were going, hoping to find Blades and Dani... but this time, in result, she found someone else that never have met before. “Hhhhello?”

Katana was supposed to have a meeting with Rescue Bots where they would go over the report she'd brought. However, as soon as she'd arrived, the team had left in a hurry due to an unexpected rescue. Katana had offered to join the team, but since the mission was more about clearing roads and less about saving people, she'd been told to "sit back and relax".

However, Katana wasn't the type to "sit back and relax". She'd been walking around the base, going over her report and making adjustments to it, when she heard the groundbridge activate. She put the report away and went to look just in time to see the human arrive.

Katana was aware that humans outside Griffin Rock didn't know about Rescue Bots. However, the fact that this one came through a groundbridge indicated that she had at least some kind of connection with Autobots. Cautiously, she greeted her: "Welcome. Your name and purpose of visit?"

Ratchet blinks at the feeling of skin against metal and sensors, instinctively reading the temperature of her hand and noting it is within a normal range. This is immediately followed by looking down at her, and blinking once.

... And then he sighs. He supposes this human has grown attached to him now, too.

The prime chuckled a bit and shook his head.

“Heh, even I don’t know what’s going on, but you may get some soon, they’ve been thrown left and right.”

He also thought for a little bit and then softly said.

“I’m sure I had a few human ones thrown at me if you’d like any. Not sure if you’d like one smooshed after hitting a robot alien though.”

Fair enough.

Answering ~

|| 🍍• Ultra Magnus struggles severely to ponder his way around negative emotions and thoughts surrounding loneliness and failure.

Ironically, his own authoritative stoicalness is to blame. Ultra Magnus’s flaw is that to him, Optimus Prime is the pinnacle of leadership. Another common trope in more recent years (RID2015 I’m looking at you), is that we’ve seen characters try to embody Optimus’s leadership and missing the whole point of “Optimus’s way worked because it was Optimus doing it.” Ultra Magnus is no different. And this is why he clashes with certain characters. When you take one aspect of Optimus and make it your personality, it’s not gonna be so sweet for you (I actually do like UM btw :’) )

Just as Ultra Magnus struggled initially to adapt to Team: Prime (“much has changed since the war for Cybertron”), Ultra Magnus also initially struggled to adapt to the unfortunate loss of his servo, appearing frustratingly disheartened when Ratchet refused to clear him for duty - he felt useless; lonely. In both of these situations, someone else aided him out of his funk - Optimus in the first instance, and Wheeljack in the latter.

Tldr : Ultra Magnus is the reason he’s lonely and struggles with failure, because he hasn’t worked out that…

A.) He doesn’t need to embody Optimus Prime to be a good leader.

B.) Because of this, when failure/upheaval occurs, he hasn’t learned the value of a family or close-knit team interactions, such as Team: Prime, or the value in asking for help.
