Moriarty kills someone who tries to assassinate Joan and then sends her a letter basically equaling out to “only me kill you <3″ 

Joan beats up a cop in a boxing ring. Then she annoys Joan again so Joan prepares for round #2.

Joan shaves Sherlock's head on purpose. At his request. He is bald or almost bald for several episodes. 

Someone mocks Sherlock and Joan asks the man "what's the hardest you've ever been hit?”

Joan threatens to stab Sherlock in the thigh with a push-pin if he doesn’t pay attention to a meeting (she has the push pin the whole scene in her hand)

Sherlock and Joan take down an entire drug gang in like a weekend.

Sherlock’s solution to dealing with annoying neighbors is to start sculpting bushes with a chainsaw

In order to stop Marcus from assaulting someone, Sherlock assaults them first

Joan gets attacked by a serial killer and when Sherlock looks at her with big puppy eyes of apology she tells him that she’ll break his rib if he apologizes

One of Marcus’ professors refuses to teach Marcus because of a grudge they hold against Sherlock

“I’ve been robbed. How offensive.”

A LOT of people Joan knew get murdered (this is weird now that I’m thinking about it, I can think of at least three people)

Mycroft and Joan dated

“Her first hidden body, you must be so proud.” “You’re jesting, but I am.” 

“You don’t know I play the violin?” “Until last week I didn’t know you ate food.” 

Sherlock gets into a disagreement with his father and his solution to dealing with his frustration is to squeeze an entire honey jar down the drain 

Joan publishes a book detailing Sherlock’s life SOLEY for revenge after Reichenbach 

No one can understand Sherlock’s texting except for Joan, who used the fact he WASN’T talking like a teenager to realize he’d been kidnapped 

“It’s the orange high lighter, it always brings bad luck.”

Joan dyes her hair blonde to deal with a personal crises 

Joan and Sherlock lie under oath about breaking into people’s houses because they “heard puppies and babies under distress”

“Holmes and Watson are tracking down some sort of Holmes and Watson thing.”

Joan’s adoption lawyer lies about failing to notify her of meetings and Sherlock gets a king involved

Joan meets her sister because her sister runs an illegal poker game

Joan’s mother tells her that she thinks Joan’s brother is having an affair and when Joan vents her frustration about this, Sherlock tells her she can (and should) cut off her family

The first half of season three is basically Joan and Sherlock mentoring/parenting Kitty 

Sherlock was SO CONFIDENT that his father wouldn’t show up to the meeting that he hired an actor to stand-in for his father (and he was right)

A consistent running gag of the series is Sherlock waking up Joan in new and strange ways

the more times i rewatch elementary and the more i grow up, the more i realize how this show kinda built the idea of community for me. joan, watson, gregson, sherlock, they all show up to someone's door with a bag full groceries in hand. especially after a trauma. sherlock comes over and cooks for her. watson makes marcus some premade meals when he's injured. when they find out they've upset their neighbor, they eventually help him out. they gift him sherlock's honey. sherlock trades his information from his informants with other items/information. sherlock and watson are archie's (kitty's son) godparents. they all care deeply about each other, and they show up for each other. in the big ways and the small ways.

I love those moments in Elementary when Sherlock says the most ridiculous/unhinged/outlandish shit in a casual tone, almost as a throwaway line, and Marcus just slowly turns and looks at him with a "what the fuck did you just say??" kinda look, and you can see it in his eyes that he knows he should be used to the random facts and seemingly illogical deductions and all after all these years, but he's also kinda rethinking every choice he's ever made in his life that lead him to this moment

Watching the Tremors arc in S2 of Elementary is so painful. While it was good to see that Sherlock doing whatever he wants absolutely does (and should!) have consequences for him and those around him, it hurt to see Bell suffer the way he did.

I love that Elementary wasn't afraid to show that Sherlock is NOT all-knowing and IS fallible. At the end of the day Sherlock is just another man, albeit a brilliant one. His flaws were never brushed under the rug; they - and Sherlock himself - were called out. It made for such interesting characterization and story-telling.

Rewatching Elementary s6 knowing how it ends makes me realise how they properly set up Gregson's decision.

In s1, Joan describes Gregson as the closest thing Sherlock has to a friend. But by s6, we see just how the intervening years have driven a wedge between them. Gregson may not hate Sherlock, but he doesn't trust him much anymore. Sherlock's PCS brings up Gregson's resentment about keeping the addiction secret. This is emphasised by Marcus, who didn't trust Sherlock in the beginning but is now closer to him than ever and only expresses concern for Sherlock's condition.

And then his daughter reveals she's an alcoholic. Someone he was meant to look after is in trouble he hasn't noticed. He's feeling guilty and scared.

So when Hannah kills someone, he doesn't turn her in, and he doesn't go to Sherlock for help. Because he doesn't trust Sherlock anymore, and hasn't really for a while. He's willing to risk Joan for Hannah, and blames Sherlock for it all.

This was all a long time coming.
