ミュージカル 『刀剣乱舞』 ～江水散花雪～

The title reads in romaji

江水散花雪 : Kousuisankanoyuki

The title comes from a painting representing the Sakuradamon Incident during wich a famous official li napsuke was assasinated by members of the mito and satsuma domains that happened on the 24th of march 1860. Which will probably the historical event to protect that will be the set of this show.

i am not a scholar in japanese history so there is a lot more info to dig around about this. i'd be curious to read a more detailed understanding of that title

Characters and their actors :

I won't do a post about kane-san returning because we have 5 new swords including 4 new double cast from tousute that are ookanehira, nansenichimonji, hizen tadahiro and most challenging of all mamba-han.

Let's start with the one actor i know :

Matsushima Yuunosuke as Ookanehira

He recently turned 25 (96-11-17 ), has been working in the banchou boys company since 2015 and as part of the boysband 10神ACTOR(10jinactors). He is probably already known or at least has been seen by a lot of 2.5D fans for :

- Domeki Shizuka from XXX Holic

- Yudai yamato in the current tennimyu season :

- He will be new yuusuke from persona 5 the stage 3

- And was atsumu miya in haikyuu

Tohoku Region: Matsushima

The Matsushima Bay is touted as one of Japan’s Top 3 Views, so naturally I had to check it out for myself. Once off the train I quickly collected my ticket and joined the queue, there were about 10 people in front of me and very soon there were probably at least 100 behind me! I ate my wrap while I waited to board and then tried to decide which side of the boat would be the best to sit on. I guessed the right side would be best, but once we were cruising, I wished I had gone with the left. The right was good to see the far off islands that those on the left really couldn’t see, but the left side was far better for photos as the islands were closer and larger with colourful cliff faces rather than just covered in shrubbery like the smaller ones to the right. There are 260 islands in Matsushima Bay and I don’t think we saw them all! The robot tour guide also pointed out some interesting scaffolding structures in the bay that are used to catch oysters which are a popular dish in this region. Despite the beautiful views, I counted at least 5 people that had fallen asleep. Although I think that it is part of Japanese DNA to fall asleep on forms of transport, I was still surprised they had paid 900 yen each just to fall asleep on the cruise! Back on the island I decided to go for a walk around because I felt that there was still a fair bit to see here, I started with the Godaido of Zuiganji Temple which is located on one of the nearest islands to Matushima’s mainland, with just a small foot bridge to cross. It was also free entry so I was more than happy to explore! There were a few souvenir shops (tourist traps) that were set up right at the entrance selling plush toys that danced to Shania Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much” every time someone walked pass the sensor. The temple itself was quite small but the courtyard offered some great views over Matsushima Bay. I also tried to cross the Fukuurabashi Bridge to another island, however I had arrived at around 5pm and it was closing soon and I didn’t think I had enough time to fully walk around the island and enjoy it, so I kept my 200 yen and bought some postcards instead. I carried on walking around the back streets of the town and discovered the Cave Ruins of Zuiganji Temple completely empty in the sunset! There was another temple there too, plus a steep staircase that I decided to climb, hoping for some nice bay views from up high. Unfortunately there weren’t any here, but there was a large cemetery with a small temple. An elderly man approached me and I assumed he was going to tell me to leave the cemetery but instead he told me to go and visit the temple, he said it had been build in the Edo period about 400 years ago and actually was the original building not a reconstruction. He wanted to talk to me more but I didn’t really have time to listen as I needed to get the train back so I politely thanked him and went on my way. As it turned out he was on the same train back, I pretended I didn’t see him so I didn’t get locked into an hour of conversation… On my way back to the hotel I was ravenous so stopped in for an Indian curry as it had some public holiday specials advertised at the door. I ordered butter chicken and a naan with a masala chai. The naan was the hugest I’d ever seen, it honestly needed a bigger plate. The butter chicken was very tomatoey but okay, I ate the whole lot. The chai came after my meal, I had almost hoped they’d forgotten about it as I didn’t want it anymore but they brought it out. It was burnt, and it didn’t taste that nice either so I really wished they’d forgotten! When I paid the bill, he charged me full price but I decided not to question it and just pay – the Japanese way!

If I can become Sou Shori: Recently he’s really into muscle training so he’s doing his best. That’s why I want to stop it. All day I will eat fatty food so I can return a fat body back to him. I guess I’m mischievous (laughing).

If I can become Shori Sou: Since his parakeet Key-chan will be mine, for one day I want to be the owner. Within 24 hours I will teach him to say “Sou-chan!”. So when Shori returns he will keep saying “Sou-chan!!” and Shori will get angry (laughing).

Shori→Sou: The one who changed the most towards me is Matsushima. We simply got along just fine. To be honest, on our first meeting you said “I’ve seen you in a magazine!!” and I was at a loss for words but after Matushima himself began to think “It’s okay to be more relaxed”, we went for a meal together three weeks later and became friends. I’ve been telling you the same thing and even now I think “Matsushima is okay being Matsushima”. However, you’re really stubborn! I wonder if you can be a little bit more flexible. But me too, I cannot really only look for fault in other people (laughing).

Sou→Shori: To be honest, the Shori from our first group formation, I felt like you built a wall around you, the two of us almost never really talked with each other. But while working, you gradually opened your heart little by little and then one day, you invited me to go out for a meal... I was really happy for that. From then on we started talking about everything with each other, and the one I talk to the most is in fact Shori. Actually at the moment, we were discussing about going jogging together.

Sou-kun is a genius at being an airhead Shori: I think he’s a genius. But a genius at being an airhead (laughing). I think that remark was quite genius itself, just like the design of our charity t-shirt. With such friends I think it’ll be fun to watch. I’m not good at drawing since I’m not an airhead (laughing), but instead of trying to adapt, I think it’s amazing to see many different things.

Shori sees his surroundings well Sou: Shori is the closest to me in age but even though we’re only one year apart he’s really mature. He properly sees his surroundings and thus he exactly understands his role. Being attentive of your environment and having persuasive power when saying your opinions. That is something I wish I could do, it’s something I really want to copy.

A sort of happy story Sou: Recently I had fun tickling Shori, it was sort of a happy time. Look! (lightly tickles Shori’s body) It’s simple, isn’t it (laughing). Shori’s reaction to it is so weak. He only says “Eh?”, that’s about it. But that blunt feeling is so Shori-like, so I’m fine with it. If he’d say “Wah, stop it!” with a loud voice, his image would be different. I’m addicted to a cool and funny Shori-like reaction. At the moment he’s not seriously angry but when he says “stop it” with a serious face then I will stop (laughing).

Keep in mind I am not a native speaker therefore there might be mistakes in my translations. Also I’m not exactly translating word for word.
