Ventress meets the Skywalker twins
I think Rex and Ahsoka, after meeting Luke and Leia, would die laughing if he saw Ventress meet the Skywalker twins.
Imagine this:
The Empire is dying, and your general's/master's/friends' twin children are leading the fight to track down the last of the Empire's lackeys along with their mother's protocol droid, their father's astromech, a veteran Wookie, and the Wookie's pet human (who is dating one of the twins). You keep an eye on them, offering them guidance and old stories and occasionally a rescue. All is well, and the galaxy is healing.
Until one day, that old bounty hunter that terrorized you every other week returns.
She's honestly not looking for trouble these days. The pet human struck a deal with her to get some equipment that they needed and couldn't get without going through the black market. According to the pet human, this hunter is dangerous, resourceful, and delivers more consistently than the pet human does most of the time. Her prices are in the upper ranger, but worth it. She even delivers on time.
However, you'd recognize her anywhere. Among her weapons array are two lightsabers, her voice is still raspy, and she still hums in the Force. This is Asajj Ventress, ex-apprentice to Darth Tyrannus.
And THEE Luke Skywalker is walking up to her with a smile on his face (because he's the people person, who else is going to complete the transaction?).
He's got the payment and he offers a cheerful greeting, expressing appreciation for making the delivery, but the masked bounty hunter doesn't say anything. She recognizes that face. Are you kidding me? It's a damn carbon copy of Anakin Skywalker, except that nuisance never smiled this much. Ventress takes off her mask to make sure she's not imagining things, and gets a little closer to Luke's face than he would prefer, but he still doesn't understand what's going on.
Neither does Leia, who just came from around the corner, but she sees this bounty hunter too close to her brother's face and she doesn't like it. She calls out the hunter and stalks over, telling her to back up and mind her own business. Ventress isn't even listening to her yell because now that she's remembering ole' Skywalker, she recognizes his brash, bold behavior in the girl. That fire she used to feel in the Force? The same one she felt when she was tracked down by a certain Jedi because he thought she betrayed his apprentice? Yeah, it's back.
She looks back at Luke, then back at Leia, and then she gives up. She looks up at the sky, pointing an accusing finger and starts shouting for all the galaxy to hear that NO, SHE IS NOT DEALING WITH THIS AGAIN, DAMMIT! ONE WAS BAD ENOUGH, BUT NOW THERE'S TWO AND SHE'S TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT!!! She snatches the payment from Luke, who is still bewildered, and storms off back to her ship, pausing only just long enough to flip of Ahsoka and Rex, who are laughing their asses off in the background. Anakin and Obi-Wan's Force ghosts are right next to them, barely able to breathe despite being dead.
About three days later, after Ventress has cooled down enough, she tracks down Ahsoka's number and demands an explanation. This just makes her more mad. Rumor has it Ventress died the next day from heart problems. The only thing written on her medical chart for cause of death is 'Skywalker.'

A wonderful life ahead (3)
Masterlist
Part 1 | part 2 | part 3: Medicine | part 4 | part 5
When you first put yourself in Cybertron it was by the very same reason other humans were there too.
Work, work and necessity.
Turns out, humans were quite good with those little hands, their whole body way more versatile to get through the most difficult points in many cybertronians, but work for human or overall helpers weren't needed in times of war, demand increasing after the end of it, especially with all the damage done to the cities and the inhabitants.
Metroplex was the very first one among the list of damaged, and the city speaker noticed how humans could get deeper than any mini bot ever could, still the high risk of having an organic and even a possible infection of atrophosia required the use of special equipment and medical capacitation was necessary to treatment when Metroplex accepted human help when the damage was only progressing.
You weren't a medic, you were there just to bomb air to the group going inside Metroplex with mini bots in order to prevent a possible squish if the innards of the titan just decided to move, and that's how you meet your husband.
Blurr wasn't a mini bot, not even part of your work, he was just there when you were tearing up while thinking of your home, one you left behind by sheer necessity.
He would tell you later on that he recognized you from his quick travels from and to the market because he needed to repair the filters of his oil house.
Humans and cybertronians were in contact for years to that point, one thing got to another, and then this bot is looking at you like some kind of friend or stress relief, you still laugh to that strange belief that emerged when more humans crossed the space bridge to Cybertron, like some bot looking at you and asking straight forward if it was true that humans were good for the spark or if human skin oils were really corrosive or, in the most crazy things, if it was true that humans didn't age normally if they were spark bounded.
Their innocence was initially cute, but then the topic of atrophosia resurging got those few bots that talked to you pretty far away, some still remained but didn't want to touch you if it wasn't necessary.
Except for Blurr.
"I've been in contact with organics before, so I guess that I'm doomed already" his intent to sound funny and cool made you look at him like he was already victim of the degenerative disease, and maybe he really got it the first time that he used his alt-mode in front of you, opening his passenger door for you and trying to be suave while trying to ask you out.
He talked way faster to what you could ever understand, but you could hear his cooling fans going hard and fast when you put a hand on his leathered seat.
Since then, it has been almost 25 years.
And you kept looking like the moment you touched your husband's spark, laughing to yourself, those bots were right, the conjunx ritualand spark bound did indeed decrease your aging.
Still, you could feel a headache almost everyday and the increase of gray hair by the second with the shenanigans of your own family.
"How long?"
"Stop it, Ripley"
Ripley was already a young adult and you loved her to pieces, but God, was she irritating.
"Carrier told you to wait, why can't you stay in one place while this finish?"
"It's okay, sweetspark, it will be over soon" you glared at your husband, almost saying something about how lenient he was with Ripley but not uttering a word about it, after all, Blurr was in this mess because of you, maybe he noticed your body a little more tense, always trying to decipher your behavior, placing one servo near you and stroking your cheek with his index, the needle inside his energon lines still pumping medicine, he could wince by the movement but he kept on smiling at you sweetly.
A few centuries ago, degenerative diseases were almost untreatable.
A few years ago, the first Terraformer was born, with his merged CNA and antibodies that could stop at least atrophosia and other related disease originated from organics, being a good option to many cybertronians still in contact with humans.
Just like your foolish husband.
"I don't really care" he told you then, going slow by his own standard, showing you around Metroplex, a view that was hard to see for yourself, the sky of Cybertron and the mechs around, it was almost a good contrast, seeing the city's lights and the stars, one of those your distant home.
Blurr said that he didn't care, and he was being honest, your heart pounding, reflecting your emotions while your hands grasped at his door was enough to make his spark sing, he loosened your seatbelt just right to let you out of his cabin, letting you admire around to your heart's content, as far as he could but still keeping you grounded, stopping your breathing mask from being bumped or any possibility that you could go flying out of his window.
You would say that he was being dramatic, eating your words back when your hand moved without your intention, he didn't even care when you almost slipped and put your little foot on his seat, changing back to his bot form to catch you, holding you firmly in his servo, been harsh for a moment before he could settle the movement to keep you still, his paint near his legs and joints now ruined by the harsh contact with the road but what mattered the most for him was you, scared you that was holding to his digits and hyperventilating, Blurr looked at you with frantic optics, searching for any damage done to your pliable body or if your mask was still on and placed correctly, ex-venting in relief the moment he noticed you were shocked but fine.
"Oh, thank Primus" he said it so fast that you almost didn't understand it, when your beating heart finally let's you breathe normally you let go of his digit, pushing his servo away.
What about the atrophosia? What if your skin really damages him? What if you make him more damage?
It mattered for you, maybe more than what you really thought at first, because Blurr was starting to be important in ways you didn't expect at first, how to deny it when he reached out for you again with a soft smile on his faceplate and asked gently if he could carry you back, still on his knees and looking anxious, as if expecting your refusal.
How could you tell him no? How could you keep him away? There was no answer because there was no way you didn't want him too.
"Sweetspark?" Blurr's voice is laced with worry, looking at you with his blue optics and a soft tone, why is he the one trying to comfort you when he is the one with a needle inside his energon lines that you know hurts him?
How did you get to know such a caring mech?
How did you get him to look at you like that?
"It's fine, just, thinking about other things" Blurr doesn't believes your answer nor your kids, they all have this incredulous expression and you almost laugh at how much they look alike.
As much as Ripley mimicked Blurr and how much Ty can show with his armor plate on.
"Well, thinking about the time when I meet your father" you refer to your kids, still, at your words many other bots in the clinic perk up, some even whistling and others asking you to tell the details and maybe expecting a bit of drama, everybot with a similar needle and pumping medicine in their system, your two kids now look almost bored, knowing this story to the details and knowing you tell it everytime you want to get Blurr flustered, it works out like a clock everytime.
"Wait, dear" oh, now he is using human words of endearment, he is trying to stop you at any cost, too late, you don't want to feel exposed by your old crush on him right now.
"Well, your father approached me, asking if I was interested in doing a visit to his oil house for a cube of energon, I almost laughed at his face because he was inviting me to a date but also implying me to drink energon" most mechs laughed hard or smiled by such a mistake, others kept silence, maybe Blurr wasn't the only bot that tried to date a human with the invitation of a little drink first, but also forgetting how toxic energon could be for organics.
"Darling!"
"No, no, let the story get to when you scored a date" Ripley said, looking forward to her favorite story, "when dad gave you a ride but almost crushed you, literally"
"Oh" Ty now added, "when he thought you were sparked" at his words more mechs laughed, and Blurr had to cover his hot faceplate with a servo, smiling fondly at the memories.

I think "Stronger, Faster" (a season 1 episode of Transformers: Prime) might be one of the better anti-drug analogies I've seen from a kid's show.
The drug, Synth-En, is an experimental fuel source Autobot Medic Ratchet is developing from an incomplete Energon formula created in a previous episode (it's incomplete because the data containing the formula was eating an Autobot's brain and was jettisonned from said Autobot's brain and into the vacuum of space by mistake while the Autobots and humans worked on completely separate plans to try and get the living data out of their friend's brain before it rendered them completely braindead), and the Autobots themselves are running low on natural Energon.
Ratchet is trying to complete the formula, but it's only been cleared for use on non-living machines, not living Autobots. The problem?
The other Autobots have left for battle, and Ratchet no longer has enough Energon to repair his allies.
Desperate to protect his teammates, Ratchet injects his current sample of Synth-En into himself, and it...
Well, it makes him stronger, faster, more aggressive, less restrained...
Basically, Synth-En is a performance enhancing drug.
It has benign uses (when used to power their equipment, it saves up good Energon for keeping the Autobots alive), but under its influence...
Ratchet tortures a Decepticon civilian with a blowtorch, brings up some recently deceased allies to try and get under Optimus' skin when called out for it, and then nearly gets himself killed chasing down Megatron.
Plus, unlike Transformers' last attempt at a Drug Aesop, you can't make a cool Synth-En toy that completely breaks the message of the episode when marketing wants you to bring it back to sell more toys.
Well fuck man.

Last Monday of the Week 2023-11-27
Snow
Listening: Someone on IRC linked me to 3Blue1Brown's Hallelujah Parody about the vicissitudes of apparent patterns in sequences.
youtube
Reading: You Want My Password or a Dead Patient:, a paper about information security and the lack thereof in medical contexts. Paper linked here, but I first heard about it in this Choast.
A very good deep dive into the extremes of classic reasons why information security is bypassed: it's just much more important that you have access to resources Right Now in a hospital context than it is that they are secure against hacker, most of the time.
Hospitals process a lot of private information, so they are often beholden to the security standards imposed by regulations agencies. If you've engaged with mandatory security regulations you'll know a lot of them are, uh, bad?
(Famously if you want to meet US FIPS Government Standards you cannot use the Good Elliptic Curve ed25519 and instead you have to use a different, less well secured curve.)
Anyway what this means is that you have a significant conflict between the very high stakes and fast paced world of hospital medicine, and a system that wants you to log back in every time you step away from the x-ray machine.
Watching: Nothing.
Playing: As you may know if you're following me, I started Dark Souls this week. I am having a great time in Dark Souls! It's a lot of fun. I am still where I was yesterday, having just beaten the Belltower Gargoyles.
youtube
There are definitely notes that I have. It is for sure a 12 year old game. Some of the opacity is definitely intentional difficulty, like requiring you to just feel out the parry timing, but I it probably wouldn't make the game any easier if it had reliable indicators of when you're in position to backstab or riposte someone and it would make parrying much more fun. I like parrying but so often you parry someone and then just hit them normally instead of going for the cool finisher riposte.
Making: Like ten minutes ago I reopened Cinnabar and Calcite and did a little hardware swap, moving a new network card into Calcite and Calcite's old network card into Cinnabar. Everyone is settled back in. Wifi card upgrades are not really essential but it is nice to have wifi on a desktop even if you don't use it because a) someday you will and b) it's free bluetooth.
Also: Wrote some very bad bash to use my motherboard RGB as a tally light for recording these Dark Souls clips, since I've lost a few clips to hitting the wrong record button a few times.
Tools and Equipment: Original Tuesdayposter @girlfriendsofthegalaxy had a video on marinara sauce this last Tuesday and I was inspired to try some tomato pasta bakes. I usually make Mornay sauce based pasta bakes because it's what my parents usually made, but you gotta try a really spicy tomato pasta bake.
I got some habaneros and jalapenos from the farmers market and made a big pot of spicy tomato tuna bake and especially with the weather being How It Is that was great, I'm making a mushroom one sometime soon it kicked ass. That recipe was loosely based on this one, although I put in a bunch of extra vegetables.

𝘍𝘍𝘝𝘐𝘐 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘋𝘊𝘈𝘕𝘖𝘕 — SOLDIER program: enlistment mutals may reblog/adapt if applicable
PART I : PROPAGANDA EFFORTS
Shin-Ra's marketing efforts are a relentless success, a snowball effect that has since hit its peak, an avalanche that has overtaken and demonized all other possible militias. If you want to be an upstanding member of society, you join the Shin-Ra Security Division and are guaranteed respect and ample employee benefits (should you earn them).
But what about those that want to be more than yet another enforcer of petty laws and population control? What about those with greater ambitions, and a drive to prove themselves better than others? For that, you have the SOLDIER program, and Shin-Ra has spared no expenses at making sure that those susceptible to this message have heard it.
The desired demographic for voluntary SOLDIER sign-ups is 13-21, as the younger the subject in question is, the more likely are they to adapt favorably to the mako enhancements, still in their developmental phase.
And this bleeds into marketing: SOLDIER is primarily promoted through four different means, these being the news, sports sponsorships, school presence and media, set to target and groom the different stages of their preferred demographic.
NEWS: war glorification, consistent praise for SOLDIER Firsts, glamorization of Shin-Ra's conquests and scientific advancements.
SPORTS SPONSORSHIPS: SOLDIER branded sports equipment, potion themed energy drinks, team financing, big-game advertisement, SOLDIER-program training regimens .
SCHOOL PRESENCE: enlistment drives, Shin-Ra company presentations, school fairs and investments.
MEDIA: children's animation, television programming, movie financing, SOLDIER cameos in popular media.
The program is sold as an ideal way to achieve individuality and freedom, children allowed to sign up without parental intervention, and upon registration all underage SOLDIERs become children of the state, forfeiting their rights to bodily autonomy and leaving their families with no legal resources to turn to should they be against it.
There are recruitment locations on nearly every continent, with the main processing plants being in: Rocket Town, Costa Del Sol, Icicle Village, Junon and Midgar. By visiting any one of these locations, you are able to sign your life away - if you don't already happen to do it on impulse during a school fair presentation wherein active SOLDIER members sell you on how cool it is to have genuine enhanced capabilities and senses.
The process is entirely predatory, and it is only through Shin-Ra's control of the media that they are able to turn the horrifying implications of this into a feel-good story, mostly focusing on the social successes from the program, be it literal children being able to support their family financially due to Shin-Ra stipends, teens at risk turning their lives around due to the 'strict discipline' of the program, marketing efforts done to humanize the SOLDIERs in the program in an easily digestible way (they're quirky just like you!) or the average story of saving innocent civilians.
PART II : ENLISTMENT ORIGINS
A - voluntary sign-ups B - promotion from the security division C - turk scouting efforts, coercing people with notable skills, an example being promising the resolution of criminal charges in exchange for joining the program D - scouting done through the science department's access to all medical records stored in shin-ra licensed medical establishments
Points A and D are limited by a max age of 21, these SOLDIERs reserved by the science department for all future developments regarding the continued evolution of the program, and they are most likely to receive training in a controlled environment than to be sent out in cases that aren't an emergency - essentially, unless they prove themselves exemplar fighters, they are to be considered more lab rats than fighters.
However, points B and C are exempt from this limitation, and are expected be on the front lines no matter what, their pre-established skills having them be those most often sent out on hazardous missions. They are often those with the slowest mako adaptability rates due to most often being full adults by the time of their acceptance into the program, however, they do have a tendency to be promoted to Second Class faster, where in a majority will remain, with few exemplar individuals being promoted to First Class - and in turn being used for further propaganda efforts, because if they can do it, so can you.
As that's what the SOLDIER program propaganda is wrapped around in: meritocracy, where in only the best of the best make it into the program... but in truth a major part of it is purely arbitrary, dependent on any SOLDIER hopeful's adaptability to the mako process - you may be a great fighter, and still succumb to mako poisoning during the initial trials, just as you may faint at the sight of blood and still be a perfect subject.
Still, when it comes to branch changes from the Security Division to SOLDIER, when one such change does happen successfully, Shin-Ra is sure to sell the dream, taking whatever merits it can give to the SOLDIER in question and lavishing them with interviews and mentions in the internal company news cycle.
The knowledge questionnaires are in fact completely optional, but in order to select out better candidates Shin-Ra makes them seem mandatory — those willing to endure the study necessary are favored for their unquestioning loyalty and ability to follow orders only implied.
PART III : EXTRA NOTES
Due to the young age from which SOLDIERs can apply to the program, around 40% of new SOLIDER candidates have never entered battle, seen active combat or received proper training, and this brings to light the preferred use of swords and other bladed weapons per standard issue - as long as they can be taught to hit targets more or less reliably, their new gained enhanced strength would cut through the rest.
However, gaining skills beyond the most basic of training is placed entirely on the shoulders of every SOLDIER, the program is directly set up to be as competitive as possible in order to find notable specimens for the Science Department.
This leads to the presence of the leveling system, meant to compare new subjects to each other, and to keep track of the personal growth of every SOLDIER.
However… the high pressure of the field can have an adverse effect on those who were already uncertain about their position, found themselves coerced into it, or simply regretting their choice, feeling overwhelmed, be it by the violent nature of the job or the extent to which they feel their body mutating.
These SOLIDERs are most likely to avoid taking on extra missions, and are only seen when directly called to action - and for the most part, there are no repercussions for it... until there are. After a certain threshold of negatively received mission reports, there is a chance that the SOLDIER in question might disappear, often labeled either MIA or plainly KIA.
Most often than not, if they are repurposed by the Science Department, but there is a certain quota needed to fill of "successful" retirements in order to sell the image of the program being anything anywhere near humane. Those that are lucky enough to be allowed to retire from SOLDIER can expect a life of 24/7 surveillance without ANY of the resources granted by the Science Department. If they happen to develop signs of genetic instability and sudden onset mako-poisoning they are expected to rot and die - at which point the Turks will be expected to collect their corpses for the Science Department as their bodies are considered part of a highly classified science experiment.

Ice things are Ice
Ice flowers.
Tumblr media
By lowering the temperature of water and dropping in it's dried leaves other parts
You can create Ice Flower Tea.
For most people, this can give you ice powers.
But for me.
I've been granted a special piece of equipment
The Ice Gloves
By using the dried leaves in a special thermos filled with water. I can now throw ice dodecahedrons. (The machine couldn't produce perfect spheres, so this is the closest we can get)
Me and Mario actually traveled to Solstice. It's a town up North that's permanently winter. And a good thing too considering it's like 119° in Castle town right now.
My mom also came with us. After having some conversations. It was decided that at least twice a month , a parent should watch me be mentored by Mario. Like how mom watches her kid play soccer or masonry.
We decided to train on a track for track and field open near Alice's Cabin. Alice had come out actually ended up coming out with some hot chocolate.
Mario: I don't really know how dodecahedrons bounce, so just start out with something slow.
Good thing too. I think I would have accidentally knocked over an elderly Flip Flop Folk Gentleman.
The thing with the ice decahedrons is that I kind of have to spike them in order to bounce. Specifically make them hit the edge or the point (basically not the flat part) for it to bounce and eventually crack.
There is a bit of liquid encased in ice.
So that eventually when the ice cracks, liquid would quickly freeze the object / opponent /surface area.
I think I can do some pretty good stuff with this. It can make a good stunner like my honey gobs. But maybe I can use it to create some quick platforms. Think it also could make some good puzzles like if I have to cool off of an overheated device or something.
Anyways.
Well I was training. My mom and Alice actually got to talking
Akira: so you're saying the SUPER before you was a famous entrepreneur.
Alice: Indeed Miss Martin. They have the entire market cornered. Though Winston more famous because they were the first dry bones rather than the turnips they were selling the town of own.
Akira:Oh... Well the next SUPER sounds pretty interesting being valedictorian of her college.
Alice: Well technically they were salutatorians, but then the valedictorian got arrested for manipulating the prices of vitamins and medications. Still Merida was pretty impressive. Especially with her enchanted physics textbook and intelligence.
Akira: I guess that sounds pretty... Interesting. But you also said you had a dentistry. It's nice to know the SUPERS are very well educated.
Alice: Thank you but the dentist was just a front for my Mob. How else do you think I got ammunition for this. [Alice pulls out her Tooth Tommygun]
Akira:Uh... [Looks at Mario] Hey Mario do you think that we can wrap up Garth's training soon? I have...a...appointment soon.
Mario: I guess we trained enough for today.
Alice: Miss Akira. If you ever need to have a tooth pulled. You can come to me. I'm sure my pliers can be brought out of retirement.
Akira: Thanks...but no thanks.
Mom had left to go do her appointment and Mario left because he had date night with Peach.
I decided to stay around that area. See what else i can do with my new gloves.
But I eventually left after Alice made the same proposal about pulling teeth.
I'm going to go brush my teeth now.
Garth signing out.

Actually, you know what? No reason to be cryptic about it. Enjoy the journey on Aaron's current life choices.
So I mean, I've not made it secretive that I'm, among many things, a pothead, mostly for pain management. And that I've had an interesting life, and have some surprising influences in rings that I always stood as the Most Unlikely Hobbit in.
But certain things I witnessed, I observed, I learned a great deal, even had the means to get involved with but just, didn't. I had enough chaos in my life, let's not add FBI drug raids to it, thanks.
But on February 6th, weed is legal here.
The first places that were approved on licensing for it were established medical dispensaries. They've already gone through the process and most of them are importing established brands etc etc and so on. And most home growers don't have the mix of knowledge, and time to do all the hinky beaurocracy shit as a backyard operation, so they mostly just grow and quietly share with besties if they got overflow, and it's kind of whatever they got.
I've also lived in a location where it was legal, as it went legal, so I remember watching this process happen before. The first thing that happens is lines down entire blocks at major established medical dispensaries, while the overage joe still smokes something from their friend's potted plant basically, and it's cool, as long as you're not like, busted trying to distribute random shit on the corner.
And then over time the market shifts because since legalization application is open for everyone else in a few months, after it's Roughly Pretended Nobody Planted Early, We Swear, and smaller licensed recreational-predominant dispensaries open, but often struggle and fail on profit margins vs operations vs whatever. Like I have literally seen this circus, I have watched the monkeys rise and then die.
So I hear them asking, well, isn't this gonna bring the cost of weed way down? and I'm like... nyes?
If you mean the demand to have some random shit dropped in your mailbox by your uncle Ben's neighbor, yeah, that's gonna go through the floor. Even if they Swear It's Their Best Shit. Because the market is going to be full of high end prices with menus and educational information that lets customers select what they want, and the prices START where they used to be and only go up from there, plus taxes. So. No. Weed actually gets a little more expensive but the shit you get is hand over fists better.
Like someone I know is all "You know weed is cheap, no matter how good it is right, where do you think I get all my shit." and I'm like. You get all your shit because it's inventory nobody wants, was harvested way too young and is indiscernible from higher end ditch weed dude, this is just what market availability has done.
Then they argue, no, don't order your seeds from XYZ, my buddy in colorado can send you any strain you want, bet.
Nawwwww. NAWWWWWW. That's shit they shook off their plants, best guess at gendering and is probably lowkey hybridized somehow, no I want to know EXACTLY what they fuck I'm starting with and be in control of my plants without having an invasion of boys fucking up the crop.
So then of course there's the issue of competition even if I got the startup equipment. Yeah, lots of people grow for themselves, but expecting to make a profit margin is where people fuck up. Because by the time they pay for space beyond one table in their kitchen, or anywhere to sell it or have space, they're in the hole before they ever open the door.
So considering the remodeling plans I had, the local zoning and other things, I got the operations front covered, and it'd be part of a paid off home. It's just built in cost of living anyway, only now Home Earns Money with the layout I have planned and so on, because again, I need to remodel the basement for disabled living anyway, And This Fits. Wheelchair floorplan and all.
But um. Because of my life path, DESPITE my somehow squeaky clean record, I have seen things. The system will ironically let me coast through application easily as an, awww, look at these two white nerds trying to make a profit margin on their pain management dotting all their i's and crossing all their Ts. When really we have quarterly plans set out for two years as a rough estimate.
We being a friend of mine, a dear real life friend, who has history in realty, accounting and business management that was looking for a way out of the grind too, and is happy to help quickbooks his way through this and match the money I can put in on the 18th.
Because no, no I will never be able to out compete the established big dispensaries. But I got something better. The common sense to know pulling in a quarter what they target in a week is great. The ability to incorporate it to living expenses. The available manpower to handle all the form filling and dotted i's and crossed T's on that end while I handle the production, at no cost to us, no inflation to customer, and everything beyond some essentials really being minimal cost for profit. And cured and treated right you get this sticky bud NO dispensary can match, period.
And then there's where I'm at. I'm in a food desert. How do you think the dispensaries look. If you go up the main road maybe five miles there's one, and I can guarantee you it'll be expensive as fuck, so everyone will keep buying ditch weed.
The point is to be the middle ground of that, to be KNOWN to those people, to have local referrals and community.
Like naw, I don't want a store front. I'll do everything I can to be healthy, legal, maintained, all of that and it won't be that hard with the two of us. But you get me 200 locals that already spend 500 a month in weed you got me 100K/month, bro. And they still get to menu pick That Good Shit like at the dispensaries but because there's no storefront or middle management it outprices them for actual hand reared good shit that aint dried out or whatever.
Yeah. I know EXACTLY what the fuck I'm doing, and to NOT overgrow and to NOT overaim, and to KEEP it small and simple and to NOT expect to be a millionaire overnight, but rather, to be a Thousandaire smoothly for a bit and, then if my buddy does the right business cost writeoffs, we can see about expanding year two or what have you. Yeah, sure, buy the house this year on early profit margins, collateral it against itself for repairs and write it off as a business expense to get started. The room is there but it's not about ever trying to be One Of Those Ones. It's about fitting a local demand in a market and being THE one to set up that demand, and you can't do that if you fuck around waiting a month to invest it.
SOOOO to roll back to the start of this post on the 18th I am Buying Some Shit that will not see investment return for, oh, 10-14 weeks one could say, and then after that things start rolling, at about the rate getting a license approved happens, iykyk.
It's just about 500 investment on either end, scaled to 15 plants expected to drop 15-25 low to high ounces as a start. You can outprice the market and still pull 100K. And after you get round one going next month double it over into a second wave with a few more troughs and again the next month. You only run three. Suddenly it's like when you have too many chickens. That's it that's the sweet spot right there. So give it a quarter.
So that's about where I'm at right now. I'm worried about getting them started first, as I can't fight against time itself. He's gonna work out the licensing and LLCs shit in the meantime and put in his half and we're getting it rolling NOW. I can bat around customer reward and referral programs loosely and whatnot as that's already on the mind, but this is the point of motion I'm at right as my hip literally blew, so there's a lot of chair sitting by force going on right now. [uses cane to push gamer chair around the house] HOLDING FOR INVESTMENT MONEY FIRST CHAIR SECNOD I CAN MAKE IT TILL THE FIRST DAMMIT.
