Yeah, I wasn't particularly satisfied with my last attempt on my reboot concept of Cape Suzette, so I opted to give it another go.

Woof, I actually tried doing this in Krita for a bit, but…the controls there just weren't doing it for me, so I went back to Clip Studio. The difference in performance for me after switching back was like night and day, even though this still wound up taking me some time.

Regardless, I'm much happier with how this one came out compared to its predecessor.

Hopefully, the next piece of art I wanna churn out for my Talespin idea won't take as long.

Talespin belongs to Disney by the way. I only own my concept for the 90s-centric reboot.

1980's Memphis style / Bauhaus / Factory PoMo -esque graphic dingbats, wingdings & clip-art icon gibberish used as a border for a music magazine ad.

So as you can see, I've been busy painting myself a lil' craft.

Found this puppy on the side of the road months ago during the winter, a little dinged up but over all in good condition.

Took it home with the express plan of cleaning it up in the future, once the summer rolled around and I could set up my spray paint base outside. (Spray paint doesn't set well in the cold)

Well, it was hot as hell out, so it was the perfect time to paint!

And paint I did.

Had this baby baking out in the sun for maximum perfect paint coverage. Painstakingly applying coat after coat for a pristine finish, only to have grounds keeper mow the lawn and launch a gorillion tiny blades of grass pulp all over it, ruining it and forcing me to start over.

After the rage subsided and I cleaned it up, I took it back inside and painted the designs on over the course of a few days and reattached the hardware.

Anyhoo, I'm super proud of how it turned out and someday down the road I'll probably paint more of my storage units to match the Memphis aesthetic as I'm a big fan of it.
