Please take a look at my May cover and some close-up shots for the @HouseofGamut cover! It's an illustration based on the short story "To Hurt a Haunted House" by Stephanie M. Wytovich, and it has a fantastic horror theme. I absolutely love reading these stories and creating covers for Gamut. I want to express my gratitude to Richard Thomas, Richard Wood, Mercedes Yardley, and the entire Gamut team. I can’t thank everyone enough! :)

@prodigaldaughteralice asked: Queer Victorians? (Yes I’m fishing for special interest stuff to read lol)
Modern-written stuff that’s tentatively steampunky or gothic, mostly f/f with one genderfuckery story.  The only actual queer Victorian stories I could think of were Carmilla (no doubt you’ve already read it) and The Sad Story of a Vampire (which has an underage relationship so I didn’t want that to be the only m/m story I listed!)  Followers, if you know of actual Victorian queer stories, let me know!

Review: Ugly Little Things by Todd Keisling
Review: Ugly Little Things by Todd Keisling
Soon to be released from Crystal Lake Publishing, Ugly Little Things by Todd Keisling (The Final Reconciliation) is anything but ugly. In retrospect, this is a remarkable little collection of stories ranging from dark and twisted to simply disturbing. Some are short quick reads and a couple are on the longer side and more complex. But rest assured, each installment is well crafted and…

Even if I wrote a novel about Crystal Lake Publishing and their mega-talented squad of authors, I wouldn't be doing them justice. https://godless.com/collections/godless-publishers/products/crystal-lake-publishing Based in South Africa, Joe Mynhardt's indie horror powerhouse pumps out some of the highest quality novels, anthologies, poetry collections, and non-fiction on the planet. And some of it is so dark and twisted that it would make Jason Voorhees wince. Last week, the team over at Crystal Lake dropped the much anticipated Eidolon Avenue: The Second Feast by Jonathan Winn. https://godless.com/collections/slamming-godless-now/products/eidolon-avenue-the-second-feast-by-jonathan-winn Pick that up! My friend (the great) Jasper Bark also has several titles available through Crystal Lake. I strongly recommend his beloved story Stuck on You. Such a great title. Such a great guy! https://godless.com/products/stuck-on-you-by-jasper-bark House of Sighs by Aaron Dries. Just a genre-shaking book. I can't recommend this book enough. https://godless.com/products/house-of-sighs-by-aaron-dries And, last but not least... If you haven't read Mercedes M. Yardly's BRAM STOKER AWARD-WINNING Little Dead Red, you need to emerge from the forrest and pick it up. An absolute bangin' read. https://godless.com/products/little-dead-red-by-mercedes-m-yardley Please show Crystal Lake and all their authors a ton of love... even if the calendar says it's April Fools Day and not Friday the 13th. #godless #godlesshorror #godlesshorrors #horror #indiehorror #supportindie #crystallake https://www.instagram.com/p/CNIOZhmrSKL/?utm_medium=tumblr
