Context–Tyci and Dee write notes to each other all the time, even when they are together, and before Tyci committed sewer slide, she sent him one last note. Dee delivers notes to her mailbox every day, talking to her like she's still alive.

METAL FAMILY AU!!^^

In this metal family au, it's called the Hunger games–Based on the Hunger games (I know it's the biggest plot twist ever🙏)

In this au, people of the town are separated into 12 districts. Based on your background, you can normally fall into one of 3 types of districts:

1-4/These districts are less violent unless in combat when they become deranged lunatics and play dirty.

5-8/These districts are commonly more violent, and are wise to manipulation.

9-12/These districts–even though they are in the same group, they hate each other. They are rivals to everyone, no matter who or what or where they came from.

They are all fighting to survive as the teens are stripped from their parents to combat after overpopulation became too much. The deaths are filmed and shown to the public, other than that the battles and wars are never seen outside the arena.

About the arena–

Besides the teens and the cameras ready to film deaths, there is no one in the arena, and there are no rules besides whoever's the last one standing proceeds to the next game. There are forests, swamps, towns, and neighborhoods in the arena–the arena surrounding a completely different location.

The Games–2 people from each district (1 boy 1 girl) are paired up together and have to hunt the other people from the districts. They have to survive starvation, traps, dangers, and each other. It can last for months, and whoever is the last one standing for each district wins and gets more food to supply them for the next year.

How it works in the metal family au:

Dee: Dee and Heavy are taken away from Glam and Victoria. However, Dee and Heavy are separated from each other as well. Dee is set into district 8, Heavy in district 12.

Dee is tactical, calm, and wise. Although he lacks strength, his strategies are no match. When Dee is set into district 8, he simply hums and decides it'll be worth it to help his family. However he's concerned for Heavy, and swears to make sure his safety is stable.

Heavy lacks the strategic thinking his brother possesses, but he has strength and heart. Heavy is terrified, he knows he'll be without his brother, and if worse comes to worse be forced to watch him die. He's determined to go against the system and protect Dee.

Lif: Lif is in district 7, along with Diana. Lif is great at stealth.

Diana: As said, in district 7. Diana is good at camouflage, but she's also too arrogant.

Tyci: Tyci was poor according to the standards of the town, so when she heard about the Starving Games she felt required to do so. When she was chosen into district 12, she immediately started her training. Tyci is experienced in hand to hand combat and strategic thinking, however over time in the starving games she became somewhat apathetic.

Metaloddity in this Au: Dee and Tyci knew each other before the starving games, and they loved each other deeply, and still do throughout the games. When they find out they're in separate districts, they realize this could damage them physically and emotionally. War turned them cold, and saw each other as threats. They attacked each other, despite their love, they had to face forward. They could never bring each other to kill one another, they always saved each other. They finally started saying fuck the capitol and went out of their districts to find each other, to be there for each other, to let them know the other will always be there. No matter what happens they will protect one another.
