on vacation with the f1 boys ✈️
i love to travel so this is just me being self indulgent lol. also disclaimer i know some of the pictures are not from the country i said the vacation is in, bear with me lol. hope you enjoy and drop me any pref requests you might have!
Lando Norris
Destination: Finland
Lando always went on a ski trip with his friends during the winter break and this year he invited you to go along. You started on the easier slopes, as you both had to get the hang of skiing again, but by the end of the day you were tackling some of the more difficult ones along with your group of friends. Afterwards, the group settled down in the ski lodge with cups of hot chocolate around a crackling fire. You all spent a few hours joking around and catching up after not having all been together for a while. To finish off the day, you and Lando went alone to the sauna where you had the chance to decompress together before heading to bed. All in all, the day was well spent and you asked Lando when you would be able to come back even though you knew the answer would be next year.
Tumblr media
Oscar Piastri
Destination: New Zealand
During the winter break, you and Oscar did not want to travel too far from his home in Australia, so you decided to go to the nearby country of New Zealand. Both of you loved staying at the beach and so you decided to spend most of your days at the scenic shores of the country. After having a relaxing time at the beach, you decided to tour the country’s mountains together and to take in the beautiful views. A personal highlight for you is a romantic dinner with Oscar in the stunning city of Queenstown. All in all, it is a relaxing trip far from the pressures of racing that brings the two of you unforgettable memories.
Tumblr media
Max Verstappen
Destination: Italy
For Max, a vacation was any time he could spend completely away from racing with you and his friends. So, instead of traveling far away from his apartment in Monaco, he wasted no time in going on a boating trip with all his favorite people along the Italian coast. You both spent days lounging on the deck together and nights drinking with the group at the yacht’s bar. The sea made for a perfect getaway from Max’s fast paced life and you could not be happier to get some time with your boyfriend in such a scenic place. Relaxing in the waves truly made for a great time.
Tumblr media
Charles Leclerc
Destination: Los Angeles
Your favorite place to visit together was definitely LA. You both had friends who lived there so it only made sense to take a trip there when you both were free. You spent the days on the beach with him, either surfing if the waves were nice or simply sunbathing otherwise. Charles also convinced you to go on the most extreme rides at all of the amusement parks, giving you an adrenaline rush that kept you wanting more. So many laughs were had with each of your friends, especially when Charles insisted on winning you a giant Ferrari colored banana plush at the arcade. You had no idea where you would find space for it in your apartment, but you knew you would cherish the memories it brought to mind.
Tumblr media
Carlos Sainz
Destination: Miami
To Carlos, it would not be a good vacation without some golf. So, you both decided to head to Miami where you could find the best of what both of you loved doing, golf and relaxing on the beach. While Carlos golfed in the mornings, you relaxed on the beachfront balcony of the house you were staying in. And during the afternoons, you would both head to the beach to relax in the sand and waves. One morning you decided to spice things up and have Carlos try to teach you to golf, but after accidentally hitting the ball into someone else’s golf cart, you quickly scrapped that idea. Your favorite memory of the trip was definitely the day you spent completely together on a snorkeling trip to see a nearby coral reef.
Tumblr media
Lewis Hamilton
Destination: Dubai
When Lewis wasn’t racing, he still loved to be doing something adventurous. Lucky for him, you shared his love of an adrenaline rush. So the perfect destination was Dubai. Every day was filled with excitement, from riding ATVs though the desert to eating at luxurious restaurants in the city. Lewis even convinced you to go skydiving with him at the end of your trip which was an experience you knew you would never forget. There was never a dull moment when you and Lewis traveled together and you knew that once this vacation ended, you would already be planning for another.
Tumblr media
Daniel Ricciardo
Destination: Austin
Everyone knew one of Daniel’s favorite places was Austin, Texas. So when he had a week off after the race in Texas, Daniel of course convinced you to stay with him on vacation there for the next few days. He took you to his favorite bars and barbecue restaurants to savor the food. He also took you to a ranch where you got to ride horses through the American countryside. On the last day of the trip, the two of you decided to go to a country music concert and dance the night away. Both of you loved music and so this was the perfect memory to end what was a great few days of exploring the Texan landscape. And of course you had to get a souvenir cowboy hat to remember the trip by.
Tumblr media
Yuki Tsunoda
Destination: Mexico
As you and Yuki are both foodies, you decided to go to a place with one of your favorite cuisines, Mexico. You arranged to travel throughout the country to try different foods from various regions. Between meals, you would spend time seeing some of Mexico’s most scenic beaches and visiting some of the tourist destinations like Chichen Itza. The best part, however, was getting to spend so much uninterrupted time with your boyfriend who was always away from home. Though you knew Yuki lived the fast life, all you wanted to do with him was relax. And what better place to do it than in such a warm and beautiful country. As for your favorite food you tried? There were too many good dishes to choose!
Tumblr media
Alex Albon
Destination: Phuket
Alex was thrilled when you agreed to go to the country he raced for. When you got there, he excitedly showed you around all of the sights and took you to eat his favorite local food. After a few days of frantically touring Alex’s favorite places, you both decided that it wasn’t truly a vacation unless you relaxed a little bit. So, you spent the rest of the week at the beach in each other’s arms, just savoring the other’s company. There were a few splash fights in the pool and the time where you jokingly pushed Alex off of the boat, but otherwise you spent your time relaxing on the sand. Thai sunsets were truly like no other and you knew you would savor your memories for years to come.
Tumblr media
Logan Sargeant
Destination: USA
When you realized that Logan hadn’t traveled much around his own country outside of Florida, you immediately decided that you were going on a road trip to fix that. The plan was that you would go up the east coast, stopping in all of the major cities to see the sights. From Carolina beaches to the nation’s capital, there were surely a lot of things to do. And when you had a boyfriend who drove cars for a living, of course you got to the be the passenger princess. Every time a road sign showed something that sounded cool, you insisted that you stop. Your personal favorite destination was New York, where you got to show Logan a lot of the famous landmarks that everybody would recognize. Once you hit Boston, you decided to head back south to his home state and warmer weather. You would cherish these memories forever.

Lestat/Daniel NI Era Headcanons
I've been thinking a lot about Lestat and Daniel and their history together. We know Lestat was on Night Island for a while but we never got much of that era post-QotD in the books (a shame, really, as I would read 5 novels about that time!) But the plus side is we can just make up whatever we want. In that vein (no pun intended), here are a few of my Lestat/Daniel headcanons from the Night Island Era 🌴.
Daniel was super excited to share his story about his life and his time with Armand with Lestat, and told it in far too much detail in a chaotic burst, sometimes doubling back to add in an anecdote that had happened years before the place he’d gotten to in the narrative. He definitely told Lestat far more than he needed to know. But Lestat enjoyed hearing about Armand in this era and somehow managed to cut the whole thing down to what we get in QotD, although obviously lots of things were left out and not all of the little things appear in chronological order.
One of Lestat and Daniel’s first real interactions beyond him telling Lestat his story was Daniel giving Lestat a tour of the island. The tour was extremely thorough including taking him to the back halls of the shopping center and a random beach cave on one of their private beaches. Daniel talked nervously the whole time, rattling off explanations for why everything was the way it was unprompted, and Lestat delighted in his enthusiasm and eagerness to share.
Armand, Daniel, Lestat, and Louis all went mini-golfing together in Miami exactly once. Louis did surprisingly well. Armand and Daniel did well, too, as they’d done the course several times before. Lestat kept missing his shot at the windmill hole and finally threw his club in the pond and stormed off. Daniel chased after him down while Armand and Louis retrieved the club. Daniel took Lestat to his favorite night club to blow off steam and by the time Armand and Louis caught up with them, Lestat was in better spirits and they all just pretended it never happened. (But they did not go mini-golfing again.)
The moment Lestat learned Armand had a favorite speed boat that he didn’t want anyone else to use (the sleek black one, of course) he absolutely had to take it out on the water. He conscripted Daniel to help him retrieve the keys from Armand’s desk and they took the boat out joyriding. Armand was more annoyed than angry (and secretly mostly only annoyed he didn’t get to go).
Lestat was recognized a few times while hanging out with Daniel both on the mainland and Night Island’s public spaces. Daniel appears in one tabloid photo with Lestat, though he’s half-cropped out. Armand bought several copies of that particular issue. Daniel is glad the internet wasn’t really a thing in the 80s and that photo only appears in that one magazine’s physical archives.
And of course, I'd love to hear your headcanons about Lestat and Daniel and the mischief they may have gotten up to on Night Island or Miami.

2023 Bahamas Cruise, Part 18, Apr. 12. Weather hold on Long Island.
Tumblr media
What do you do when the water is this clear and calm? Jump in! Bahamas are not all beaches, pina coladas and “green flash” sunsets. After these two flat calm days, the next two days we were surrounded by storms from a stalled cold front. Miami flooded with 8” of rain in two days. Yet, we never really got rain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Easter Sunday, I dropped off Nancy at the closest dinghy dock to St. Joseph’s Anglican/Episcopal church in Thompson Bay. You can just barely see it in the background behind her. Around fifty people were in attendance. She had met most of them during our time on the Island. A much more reserved service, than last years service in Black Point. No tambourines, no kids choir, and a third the time. Fifty/fifty men and women, where Black Point was a high majority of women.
Tumblr media
After dropping Nancy off, I swung by the Thompson Bay Yacht Club. Cruisers over time have set up a small picnic area on shore here, dubbed TBYC. No one was here. Only two of us are anchored in the bay now. Then I headed back to the boat for boat chores. Took the trash to shore. Filled the water tank using our water maker. Trickle charged the start battery and fixed a thing or two.
Tumblr media
Nancy called on the VHF radio for a pick up at Basil’s dock. Once we got back to the boat, we lifted the anchor and headed north. Great wind from the west for sailing on a beam reach. Nancy baked bread while the boat was heeled 10-15 degrees to starboard.
Tumblr media
Fresh Coconut cinnamon bread!
Tumblr media
Just before the two loaves of Coconut cinnamon bread came out of the oven we sailed over the Tropic of Cancer northbound. Coordinates are displayed on the top left of the chart plotter, N23 26.031 Actual Longitude of the Tropic of Cancer North 23 degrees 26 minutes and 10 seconds. We anchored off of Simms Settlement on Long Island. That is where you see Nancy jumping off the boat. She paddleboared along the shore. While I made water on the boat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nancy caught mid flight playing around and cooling off some.
Tumblr media
The next day we dinghied to Simms Government Dock where the mail boat comes in. With a west wind blowing the dinghy against the sharp rocks. I sent Nancy on walk about, while I oared around in the dinghy. She visited the prison and several graveyards. The prison and most buildings in town had outhouses near them. Not sure if either the outhouse or prison have been used in recent history. Think Mayberry RFD, Bahama out island style.
Just before we left for shore another monohull sailboat pulled into OUR anchorage. This is OUR anchorage damn it! As soon as we got back to the boat we pulled anchor and went north around the next point. I had gotten lazy and forgot to check the charts. We went from 7 ft. depth to 5 ft. in a couple of seconds. Oops! I went to idle and started the turn back to deep water. Too late…..squeakkkkk. We had skidded to a stop in pure white sand. Quick check of the shore for current tide. Looks kind of low. Pull up weather app. we are close to low. Had this been a sailing YouTube channel. All sorts of drama could be made up. Water was flat calm. First dropped the 55 pound anchor and twenty feet of chain that weighs 1 lb. per foot. The chain laid over the top of the anchor in a pile. Had some snacks and a beer. Went swimming. Walked chest deep around the boat. Nancy jumped off the boat and hit bottom doing so. Wind changed 180 degrees and picked up enough to move the boat when we floated free. So pulled in the pile of chain with the anchor suspended above the sand. Couple of hours later…..we floated free after dark. Waited until 7 ft. showed on the depth finder. Then drop the anchor and chain, then went to bed. Next morning we snorkeled around the boat.
Tumblr media
This blue tip crab put up his dukes, when I stopped by. Reviewing weather, anchorages and possible plans we decided to sail back to Thompson Bay. Then rent a car and tour the north end of the island. Wind was on our nose, so we only sailed an hour; then motored to Thompson Bay. In between rain storms we took 4 jerry jugs to Long Island Petroleum for diesel and gas. Had a great talk with Walter Fox the part owner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On Wednesday when the weather seemed to break. We hiked over the island to the ocean side, then south along the beach for a mile. Then back across the island to the “Sou’ side” (Sound side) of the island. Round trip walking was a little over 3 miles. We were hot and tired with nothing but photos to show for our beach hike. We are surprised that little to no shells on the reef side of the island. Today though we were both looking for Ambergris. Found lots of tar balls, but no ambergris.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the way to the dinghy we stopped at the “Sou’ side” bar for a cold Kalik beer and cracked chicken. Then back to the boat.
Tumblr media
Rainbow over Salt Pond at the end of the day.
S/V Sea Breeze, Thompson Bay, Long Island, Bahamas.

This small culturally rich enclave invites guests to tours through Manatee Springs State Park, the Cedar Key Historical Society & Museum, and Cedar Key Museum State Park for a close encounter with animals and to learn about the area's history.
Everglades Park is the state's best known national park. With 1.5 million acres, it is the nation's most extensive subtropical wilderness, home to а unique and diverse ecosystem. Among the creatures inhabiting the park and its mangrove swamps and coastlines are alligators and Florida panthers. Visitors can take an airboat tour to observe wildlife, and can also hike the park's many trails.

Why Should I Travel to Florida?
When I started planning my next trip, I was overwhelmed. There are so many amazing places to see. Europe has its history, Asia its rich cultures, and South America its vibrant landscapes. But then I asked myself, "Why should I travel to Florida?" What does Florida offer that other destinations might not? I realized many travelers are probably facing the same dilemma. So, I dug deeper, looking for the answer, and what I found might surprise you.
Tumblr media
Agitation: Florida's Hidden Appeal
I’ve traveled to many places, but Florida has a unique pull. It’s not just about the beaches—though they are world-class—but the variety and accessibility of experiences. You can start your morning watching a sunrise on the Atlantic coast, spend your afternoon exploring the vast wilderness of the Everglades, and end your day with a sunset on the Gulf coast. The fact that Florida offers so much diversity in a relatively small area is mind-blowing.
Let’s talk numbers. Florida welcomed over 131 million visitors in 2019. That’s more than most countries! Why? Because there’s something for everyone. Whether you're a theme park enthusiast, a nature lover, or a history buff, Florida has got you covered. The state boasts more than 1,300 miles of coastline, with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In fact, Clearwater Beach has been voted the best beach in the U.S. multiple times. And if you’re into nature, the Everglades—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—offers a one-of-a-kind experience. It's the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles coexist.
But it’s not just about the natural beauty. Florida is a treasure trove of cultural experiences. Take Miami, for example. It’s a melting pot of cultures, where you can explore Little Havana and taste some of the best Cuban food outside of Cuba. Or visit St. Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S., where you can walk the cobblestone streets and feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
Solution: A Personal Journey through Florida
So, why should I travel to Florida? Because every time I visit, I discover something new. My last trip was a perfect example. I decided to explore beyond the well-known attractions and delve into the local culture. I started in Miami, where I joined a food tour in Little Havana. I tasted authentic Cuban sandwiches, drank fresh mojitos, and listened to live salsa music. It was an experience that engaged all my senses and made me feel like I was in a different country, all within the U.S.
From Miami, I drove to the Florida Keys, a string of islands that feels like a tropical paradise. I snorkeled in the coral reefs, spotted dolphins, and enjoyed fresh seafood by the water. The laid-back vibe of the Keys was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Then, I headed north to Orlando—not for the theme parks this time, but to explore its lesser-known attractions. I found charming neighborhoods like Winter Park, where I took a scenic boat tour and discovered the city’s history through its architecture and museums.
Finally, I made my way to the Gulf Coast, where I visited Sarasota and its beautiful Siesta Key Beach. The white quartz sand felt like powder beneath my feet, and the sunsets were some of the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen. Sarasota also surprised me with its vibrant arts scene, from the Ringling Museum of Art to local galleries.
Why Florida? It’s a Journey Like No Other
Traveling to Florida isn’t just about ticking off tourist spots. It’s about the journey—experiencing the diversity of cultures, landscapes, and activities that the state offers. Whether it’s the adrenaline of riding a roller coaster, the serenity of a beach sunset, or the richness of local cuisine, Florida has a way of creating unforgettable memories.
For me, the answer to “Why should I travel to Florida?” became clear after experiencing it all firsthand. It’s not just a vacation; it’s a multifaceted adventure that caters to every traveler’s desires. So next time you’re planning a trip, consider Florida. It might just be the perfect destination you’ve been searching for.
And if you're traveling with family, Florida is especially rewarding. From the magic of Disney World in Orlando to the sandy shores of Destin, there are countless options for everyone to enjoy. Gator Country
The day started off with a visit to Buffalo Tiger Air Boat tours. The outpost is on the side of a highway running straight through the everglades and within native land. Fearful of the direct sun, us white boys did the most sensible thing upon arrival, and hastily reapplied sunscreen before signing in for our tour.
Our guide was a man named Garrett. Muscle shirt, tattoos, tanned to hell, scruffy unkept beard, and who immediately lit a cigarette upon arrival. His aunt appeared to run the joint, and he remarked about how the Feds seem to do nothing right. We speculated on his political affiliation.
Not without merit, Garrett informed us of his Miccosukee (and Scottish) heritage and how the US government had went to war with his people, and how a clever chief managed to secure their territory by parlaying with Fidel Castro, thus making the American government eager to please.
Touring around the grassy swamp, Garrett took us to an unused historic native village that we gingerly explored. We learned much from Garrett and his self proclaimed passion for biology, from sugar apples to gator nest monitoring.
Boating around, I was eagerly hoping to see a Gator and after 15 mins of circling we found our target. BoBo, a five foot male, seemed familiar with Garrett and leisurely swam over to our boat before closing his eyes for what appeared to be a nap. Much quiet and excitement was had over the close encounter.
Driving home, the boys had to practice calming the mind amongst Miami drivers. The congestion and aggressive drivers here seem to serve as a reminder of what can happen when a city prioritizes the individual over efficient group transportation.
After a brief mishap parking wise, the lads cooled down in our icebox airBnb which seems to only have two AC settings: artic or off. We then headed out to the beach while I stayed behind to chat with Tova for a bit.
It was a hot sunny day outside, and so once the pull of the beach called, I too assembled myself. To my surprise, the boys had not taken the beach umbrella, nor beach towels, nor cooler, nor sunscreen. It had seemed the call of the beach had rushed them too soon.
Collecting these supplies, I headed out to a local grocer and obtained some cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream for the cooler. I luckily ran into Joel on my way to the surf and after some brief head turning, found the boys behind a metal box.
Much content was had over the delivered supplies. After wolfing down the rapidly melting ice cream, the lads alternated between lounging in the sun, swimming amongst the waves, and people watching. Allen unfortunately forgot about his sunglasses as he dove into the water, and after an unsuccessful search party, we accepted them as lost to the ocean.
Oddly, while searching for his black and red shades, we even found a different pair of glasses, with clear frames, as if to be a cruel tease of the big blue. Watching advertising planes and cruise ships go by, the boys eventually headed back.
Pizza was had for dinner and most of us crammed onto Blake and Allen's sofa bed to watch the Canada - Uruguay soccer match amongst picture posting of Blake's "chub". Joel unfortunately had to take his jersey off at the end when Uruguay won via penalty kicks.
Walking the art Deco walk at night, Joel messaged a potential new lady friend, an we sauntered, watching people flaunt their fancy cars, dress, and bodies. Standing along the street for a couple minutes, we watched a drag show, and I got to say, the lgbtq community knows how to party.

Boost Your Miami Brand Authority with Cutting-Edge SEO Techniques
Miami – a vibrant city pulsating with energy, culture, and a thriving business scene. But in today's digital age, standing out from the crowd requires a strong online presence. Here's where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes in – the magic that propels your Miami brand to the top of search results, attracting new customers and establishing lasting authority.
This guide dives deep into cutting-edge SEO techniques specifically crafted for Miami businesses. By implementing these strategies, you'll attract local customers searching for your unique offerings and build lasting brand authority.
Localize Your SEO Strategy: Speak the Miami Language
Miami's diverse tapestry presents a unique SEO opportunity. To truly resonate with your local audience, consider these tactics:
Target Location-Specific Keywords: Research and incorporate relevant keywords that highlight your Miami location. Think "best coffee shops in Wynwood," "Miami Beach surfing lessons," or "immigration lawyer Miami."
Embrace "Near Me" Searches: Mobile users frequently search for businesses "near me." Ensure your Google My Business profile is complete and optimized. Include accurate location details, engaging photos showcasing your Miami vibe, and positive customer reviews that build trust.
Multilingual SEO: A Gateway to New Audiences: Miami's multilingual nature makes catering to Spanish speakers crucial. Translate key website elements like product descriptions, blog posts, and service pages into Spanish. Additionally, optimize your website for relevant Spanish keywords to expand your reach.
Content is King (and Queen) in Miami: Create Engaging Stories
Content marketing is the lifeblood of SEO. Here's how to create content that resonates with Miami's unique flavor:
Become the Local Authority: Establish your brand as a trusted resource for Miami-specific information. Create blog posts about "Top things to do during Miami Music Week," "Hidden gems in Little Havana," or "Ultimate guide to Miami boat tours."
Embrace Visual Storytelling: Miami is a feast for the senses. Captivate audiences with high-quality photos and captivating videos showcasing your products, services, and the vibrant Miami lifestyle associated with your brand.
Tap into Local Events and Trends: Stay relevant by creating content around popular Miami events, festivals, or trends. This demonstrates your brand's connection to the local community and keeps you top-of-mind with potential customers.
Technical SEO: The Foundation of Your Miami Magic
Beyond content, a strong technical foundation is essential for good SEO. Here are some key areas to consider:
Mobile-First Optimization: With Miami's mobile-savvy population, ensuring your website is optimized for mobile devices is critical. This means fast loading times, responsive design, and easy navigation on all screen sizes.
Embrace Voice Search: Voice search is on the rise. Optimize your website with natural language keywords that people might use when searching for your services verbally.
Structured Data Implementation: Structured data helps search engines understand your website content better. Implement schema markup to improve your website's search result snippets and increase click-through rates – leading more people to your Miami haven online.
Building Brand Authority Through Backlinks: Earn Trust and Climb the Ranks
Backlinks – links from other websites to yours – are like votes of confidence in the eyes of search engines. Here's how to build a strong backlink profile:
Partner with Local Businesses: Collaborate with complementary businesses in Miami for guest blogging opportunities or co-create local event guides. This not only builds backlinks but also expands your reach to new audiences.
Get Listed in Local Directories: Ensure your business is listed in relevant online directories and local business listings. These often provide backlinks and enhance your local SEO presence.
Engage with Miami Influencers: Partner with local social media influencers or bloggers to promote your brand and potentially secure backlinks on their websites. This leverages their established audience and boosts your SEO authority.
Social Media: Miami's Digital Playground
Social media is a vibrant space in Miami. Here's how to leverage it for SEO:
Connect with Local Audiences: Use location tags, participate in relevant local hashtags (e.g., #MiamiFoodie, #BrickellLife), and engage with Miami-based social media communities.
Promote Your SEO Content: Share your blog posts, articles, and other SEO-optimized content on social media platforms to drive traffic back to your website and boost user engagement.
Encourage User-Generated Content: Run contests or promotions that encourage user-generated content featuring your brand in Miami. This fosters engagement and potentially creates valuable backlinks as users share their experiences online.
The Magic Never Ends: Continuous Optimization is Key
SEO is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix. Here's how to ensure your Miami brand stays ahead of the curve
