Was gonna do an ennard, but I can't get over casual miketrap

Was looking through the posts of “what stuff have I shared and haven’t I shared to tumblr since I got back into the swing of things” and I noticed I never shared The Springlock Paradox drawings @the-ooftroop drew couple years ago before they became too big to fail. Honestly I am shocked I never showed these off sooner as looking at them now has my shriveled brain producing dopamine. :V

More important animatronic questions: Do like mari and foxy, or anyone else, get like a bath day? Or is it more like spot clean as needed? I can guess ennard and maybe baby have to regularly clean their wires with their eating habits, but like Michael and chance aren't around kids or "eating" (and with michael's propensity to avoid moisture and keep as dry as he can)(and I remember something about chance's music box still being sooty in ghiab- which I'm guessing might help in keeping his programming reflexes in check or something?) This is a rambly mess, but IMPORTANT questions lol

It's kind of an as-needed wipe down. XD Ennard definitely needs to get the wipe-down a little more often than Foxy or Mari, but there are incidents.

Though, worst case scenario, Foxy could pull off his feet and leg padding and head for a deeper cleaning. Mari too is a little more insulated, so water doesn't bother him as much. Ennard would be the one with the most sensitivity and thus, cleaning wipes are required.

Chance is a peculiar case because on the outside he's pretty thick, so you could probably dump a bucket of soapy water over him. The issue is that his insides, due to the fire damage, is a little more sensitive. Cleaning his interior requires a lot of care and in some places, like the voice box, it's sort of impossible to get it totally clean without a full replacement- which Fritz may do if he can find one.

(Though Chance's coughing is not from actual smoke and instead a psychological tick.)

Michael is the unfortunate case where he has to be very careful with what he does. Between the springlocks and the degradation of the suit, there's a handful of risks putting any moisture or chemicals on it unless absolutely necessary. He's a little self-conscious about it.

Story-Time at Freddy's is a game created by @directdogman. (I'd also highly recommend their newer way more polished game Dialtown! Sorry, Hound, for the ping) It's a purely text-based visual novel that follows newly hired Freddy's nightguard, Jeff.

It's p short, took me about 40-ish minutes to beat, you can play it here (see link below) if you'd like! Spoilers below the cut (warning im prolly mixing up the timing of certain events i need to replay this game lmao).

Jeff goes to this dingy ass old crusty pizza joint to get a job, is immediately told by the local crazy person and former freddys employee Fritz that the place is extra-haunted. Bill Afton, the owner of the place, stops him from talking, so Fritz runs out of the resturant lol. You never see Fritz after this, I assume he died on the trek back to wherever the hell he lives at lmao.

After introducing himself to Bill and getting a job, Jeff walks over to the stage where he meets Scott. Scott tries his hardest to 'subtly' explain that the robots are haunted and there are bodies inside them to Jeff without actually stating it. He is hit with a blow dart for this crime against freddys.

Jeff then conveniently runs back into Bill who pulls dog food out of his pocket (fucking vile) and asks Jeff to please go feed his son Michael. Poor Jeff. Michael is locked behind a fake wall, smells like death, is rotting, and eats the food like a rabid animal. It's actually very well done. My description does not do this disturbing ass part any justice.

Jeff gets the fuck outta there rq, Bill is all like "ok see you tomorrow enjoy the nightshift", and Jeff comes back at the time of his shift. Spooky shit happens bc of fnaf, you can die at this part if you pick the wrong choices lmao.

Jeff starts walking around and stumbles upon the missing children's incident poster, to which he decides this must mean the kids were made into pizza. God, I love Jeff's dumbass.

He comes across Bill later, he's in a golden freddy suit and has a totally not bodybag with him. So normal. Yep. Bill quickly leaves lmao.

Again, I really need to replay this shit bc I know there was a funny reason for the place burning down, but it burns tf down. Jeff and Bill exit the place and Jeff is like "oh shit what do we do now" and Bill is like "Jeff don't you understand this is just the beginning we can rebuild freddys and start everything over and-" and then Michael comes out from the rubble and is like "Father." And Bill gets into his car at lightspeed and zooms away at mache speeds lmao.

The game ends with Michael saying he'll find his father again and Jeff being out of a job. I think. I kinda forgor the exact details of the ending💀💀💀

AU-gust day 2: Immortals

-This was your suit, Father. It should have been your fate.

-Oh, and I imagine you would have rather been gutted like a fish and used as a sock puppet?

-I was trying to set them free

-Ah, yes. Because waving an axe around like a lunatic in front of a terrified child is the best way to earn their trust

-Don't act like this wasn't your doing. I suppose your plan went better then?

-Elizabeth was not as aware as I thought she would be. If she had been, I am certain she would have tried to make the others spare me.

-And then what?

-I would have gotten her out, put her back together.

-What? Father, why are you grinning like that?

-Tell me the irony isn't lost on you Michael. The son atoning for his father's sin, who should have been the hero of this story, tossed to the scrap heap. And, the man behind the slaughter as nothing but a night guard with an odd complexion. Don't you think it should have been the other way around? Myself, a monster trapped in my own creation, and you, losing your heart, lungs and everything else in order to redeem yourself. Not that it matters, of course. Ha ha, ah, the two of us, two immortals trapped in an eternal struggle. You'll never catch me Michael. You'll never kill me.

Because I am indecisive, I figured I'd alternate between two different art challenge's each day. AU-gust is going to be my chance to show off AUs that I haven't much drawn for. Should this have probably been for the Role Reversal prompt? Maybe, but I'm counting it as Immortals anyway :P

Wasn't totally sure what to do to make Miketrap different from Springtrap other then the eyes, but he's got the opposite ear torn to show it's reversed from how it should be. And a big ol' gash down his torso. Purple Vincent is very important to me. IDK why but he is. Long ponytail and grey streaked hair that defies corpse logic because I said so :3

Edit: Made the lines around Miketrap's pupils glow so they're easier to see with the dark blue against black

Tbh, in my miketrap au, Henry fucking SUCKS

Hes not intentionally bad, but Henry was... very neglectful of Michael after he took him in when William disappeared

Henry just kinda,, drowned in his sorrows and self pity, and didn't even know Michael had a job at the sister location, and didn't even know Michael was missing until a whole WEEK later

If Henry had known or noticed, Michael could've been saved from that death trap Baby shoved him into on night 4

Michael is very, VERY aware of this, too, and isn't happy that Henry hadn't taken it upon himself to actually look harder

Michael holds a LOT of resentment towards Henry because of this. He's not happy at ALL when Henry drags him inside of the pizzeria in fnaf 6 and tries talking to him.

In this au, Henry didn't want to die inside the pizzeria, but elsewhere.

Michael didn't give him much of a choice when Michael was escaping.

"miketrap" redesign... it's extremely not canon but the idea of mike getting springlocked AFTER getting scooped and everything else that happened to him due to mistaken identity is a bit fucked ... and makes me actually like springtrap hypothetically. but i thought mike deserved a design that was a little bit less ugly... hes still pretty ugly here but it's OK

Okay I'm about to give out and out of no where theory which can just be turned into a au if people want but what if the old theory that Michael is Springtrap was true and William was just stuffed into Scraptraps suit somehow and both were at pizza sim when it burned but while William got out as Glitchtrap, Michael became Burntrap why I am saying this is because it would just be one more "Hey you look just like your dad"moment and as for why we die when we meet up with burntrap he's trying to possess Freddy but William already has his virus in there and in the other animatronics so what if once again Michael is being used as a scapegoat so William can escape the pizzaplex as Glitchtrap

I was really looking forward to your discussion vid on Miketrap, and after seeing it i say you hit the nail on the head. All of this highlights FNaF’s issues with improvisational storytelling: diluting its symbols, retconning early canon, not understanding long term implications of its plot points, the entire story becoming a messy spaghetti plot.

As mentioned before, i vividly remember the hype behind Miketrap. i got so utterly swept up in it. To this day, i think about what could have been, the fascinating possibilities for drama and character writing this turn presented. It was such a convincing theory that got me real excited for FNaF again because it instantly made Michael a sympathetic and compelling protagonist. What better way to make an Animatronic a good guy than to make them the son of the killer, forced to literally wear his father’s sins as he endeavors to stop him and undo his evil.

And then Pizza Sim happened, and not only was Miketrap firmly dead, Mike was basically dropped as a character and his moment to shine stolen by Henry. It still stings. :c

Also, that epilogue in your vid with Ennard was friggen amazing and i squealed in laughter when you made Mike Rick Astley. Peak reference right there, in more ways than one >wO

It would've made a lot of sense with how it was set up, which makes it so much more confusing to why it was set up. XD Imagine, a Fnaf plotline that people can actually piece together on their own through context clues and then it's actually a mislead. Tsk, tsk.

Oh yeah, and the Henry thing kills me. I will remain sour about that.

Thank you again! I had to do it. There's the real missed opportunity right there, because Michael teaming up with an animatronic would've been one heck of a plot twist.

...Which is why I pretty much made that the basis of CGHA, lol.

I've realized STaF has literally no posts about it.

I'm hyperfixated on something with zero fandom. Fml.

This fandom is so non-existent I could just claim I made the whole thing up myself! But I won't.

I find Jeff STaF to be a way more relatable protagonist than Jack DSaF to be completely honest.

I also like that, aside from regular FNaF possession shenanigans, that everyone is just.. normal. Workers here can be weird as fuck, yeah, just take one look at Bill's murderous ass, but unlike DSaF they're all 100% bona-fide humans.

'Cept Michael. That man is dead as fuck.
