Princess Anne Missed Royal Family Christmas Service at Sandringham for a Relatable Reason
Princess Anne stayed home on Christmas morning for her health. The Princess Royal, 72, was visibly missing from the traditional Christmas church service at Sandringham with the royal family on Sunday. According to Hello!, Anne was absent because she had a cold.
While Princess Anne wasn't present, several members of the royal family gathered at Sandringham for the first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth, who died at age 96 in September. Anne's children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips made the morning walk with their families to St. Mary Magdalene Church near Sandringham House.
Zara, 41, was accompanied by her husband Mike Tindall and their daughters Mia, 8, and Lena, 4, while their 1-year-old son Lucas was likely deemed too young to attend. Peter, 45, walked with his daughters Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10, whom he shares with ex-wife Autumn Kelly.
Though Anne had to miss the royal family's traditional stroll, which marked the first in three years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, she'll end the year with an impressive accomplishment. The Princess Royal carried out the most formal engagements of any member of the royal family in 2022, according to a tally by Reboot SEO Company using the Court Circular.
According to the data, Princess Anne has undertaken 214 engagements this year, ahead of her brother King Charles III, who clocked 181 engagements in the last 12 months. Anne kept her crown as the hardest-working member of the royal family for the second year running, having logged 387 official engagements in 2021, The Times reported, ahead of Charles, 74, who attended 385 events.
Anne also took on a number of personal duties this year. These included accompanying her mother's coffin from Scotland, where the monarch died at Balmoral Castle on Sept. 8, back to the U.K.
"I was fortunate to share the last 24 hours of my dearest mother's life," Princess Anne said in a statement released by Buckingham Palace in the days after Queen Elizabeth's death. "It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journey."
Princess Anne was the only female member of the royal family to take part in the funeral procession for the Queen. She also made history as the first female participant in the Vigil of the Princes. This is when all of the late monarch's four children stood a symbolic watch at their mother's coffin over St. Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh.
King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward later performed the ritual again when the Queen was lying in state at Westminster Hall.

I have never seen anyone say they actually want king Archie. I do however see people say king Archie the same people say queen Beyoncé
FYI the Sussex squad is calling Archie King Archie just for fun and because we love him he is our little king. We don’t wish death on anybody especially innocents childrens. We know damn well that he will never be King and we clearly don’t care about that. So stop the lies and starting shit for nothing.
I’m just going to say this, y’all:
Beyonce can’t be Queen of anything.  People can call her Queen because, no matter what, it’ll never be legitimate.  She may be music royalty, but there is no circumstance in which she would be a legitimate ruler with legitimate governing power over any body of people.
That is not the case for little Archie.  He is in line for the British throne, which means there exists a set of circumstances in which he could become King Archie I - circumstance that involve the untimely death of at least five people, including three small children (god forbid).  God forbid that were to happen, King Archie would be a reality as a result of horrific circumstances.
Half of the world’s population could evaporate (think: Endgame) and yet Beyonce would still not be a Queen (in the literal sense) of anything, so that’s why it’s harmless for people to call her Queen Bey (though it is annoying as hell, but that’s a topic for another day).  It’s inappropriate in my opinion to refer to Archie as King Archie because there is an underlying, horrific implication that is legitimately possible that would result in him gaining that title at some point over the course of his life.
It’s not the same and it makes me uncomfortable that people think it is.
“Stop the lies” - I have not said a single lie.  Archie could become King if tragedy were to strike.  The implication of King Archie is that innocent children would suffer.  The word “King” is inappropriate when considering a child who is legitimate royalty.  It’d be harmless with almost any other kid/person in the world, but it is not harmless with Archie (or Charlotte, or Louis, or Mia and Lena Tindall, Savannah and Isla Phillips...)
“We know damn well he will never be king” - well, he could be.  God forbid, but he could be.  And that’s the point you’re missing - the connotation associated with “King Archie” is a set of horrific circumstances that would hurt literally billions of people, many beyond repair.  I can’t even think about it.  I can’t.  I’ll be sick.  But you can’t say “King Archie” with respect to a child who could literally become King without considering the horrific factors that would cause it to happen.  Sorry.  It doesn’t work that way with royalty.  I don’t know if you’re new around here, but royal watching is different than celebrity watching.  This is one of the ways it is very, very different.
I love Archie.  I would die for Archie.  I would legitimately put myself between him and any danger if there was ever the chance.  But I would do the same for George, Charlotte, and Louis... and in my opinion, the way I do that is by squashing the “King Archie” thing.  He’s perfect, he’s adorable, I would die for him without batting an eyelash, but he will not be King.  We’re talking about legitimate royalty here.  Some things are inappropriate.  This is one of them.

Note
I wish the phillips and the Cambridges would also go to the festival so they would have a cousins day. Miss them together 😅
Same here anon! I reckon we’ll get pics of Savannah and Isla tomorrow, but it would be so lovely if the Cambridges went and we got to see all of the smols together again 🤞🏻🥹
