okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.
The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?
Yeah, fucking absolutely.
But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.
You cannot say that Biden is even mildly a better choice than Trump when he is currently directly involved in a genocide. That is not some little fucking thing. That in and of itself disqualifies him as a lesser evil. Biden is just as bad as him and he will not save us because he doesn't fucking care.

With MDZS, I really do prefer to keep the two canons separate (the og book version and the drama version). But with TGCF, I think I will choose to go the frankencanon route. At least until the uncensored revised version comes out and we have a better understanding of the revisions. Right now, I choose to keep Lan Ying, the kisses and confession hug, and the amnesiac Hua Cheng, and Xie Lian in red robes, and Hua Cheng pushing Xie Lian on the swings...

I started writing some OrangeHook hurt/comfort, holla! Really hope I can finish this one, I've wanted to cross that off the list for a while now. I wanted to write a hurt/comfort fic for these two after the Joe match, but I couldn't make it happen. If I can make this work though, I can actually reference some of my ideas for that hypothetical fic in this one, as a little make-good to myself.
I also kinda want this one to have a little mini-analysis of OC's title reigns, in the form of some navel-gazey introspection on Orange's part. Not sure I really have it in me to do that justice (ditto for the hurt/comfort part, if I'm being honest) but I wanna try. Writing's been real fickle for me lately, so fingers crossed I can overcome that and finally finish something for a change.

monkey man was such a fantastic movie... which only makes it all the more devastating (and bewildering??) the ways it stopped short of being perfect :/
