Empowering Self-Esteem: Navigating Beauty Pageants with Confidence and Grace
Mrs India Worldwide Beauty pageant serve as platforms where women showcase their talents, intellect, and beauty. However, participating in these competitions can sometimes bring about feelings of self-doubt and insecurity.
In this blog, we explore how contestants can navigate the delicate topic of self-esteem while preparing for a beauty pageant, with a special focus on Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide and its unique approach to empowering women.
Tumblr media
Mrs India Worldwide Beauty Pageant: Understanding the Connection Participating in a beauty pageant can be both exhilarating and daunting, as contestants are thrust into the spotlight and judged based on their physical appearance, talent, and personality. This scrutiny can sometimes lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem, especially in an environment where perfection is often perceived as the standard. Contestants need to recognize that their worth extends beyond their outward appearance and that true beauty comes from confidence, authenticity, and self-love.
Mrs India's Key to SuccessOne of the most valuable lessons contestants can learn from participating in a beauty pageant is the importance of cultivating inner confidence. While external validation may be gratifying, true self-esteem stems from a deep sense of self-worth that is not dependent on others' opinions or judgments. By focusing on their strengths, talents, and unique qualities, contestants can bolster their self-esteem and approach the competition with a positive mindset.
Embracing Individuality: Celebrating What Makes You UniqueIn a sea of contestants, it's easy to feel like you need to conform to a certain standard of beauty or behaviour. However, Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide stands out by celebrating individuality and diversity. Contestants are encouraged to embrace their unique qualities, whether it's their cultural heritage, personal experiences, or talents. By embracing what sets them apart, contestants can exude confidence and authenticity on stage, knowing that they are valued for who they are.
Supportive Community: Finding Strength in SisterhoodOne of the greatest sources of support for contestants in Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide is the strong sense of sisterhood that permeates the competition. Rather than viewing each other as competitors, contestants uplift and empower one another, forming bonds that last long after the competition ends. This supportive community provides a safe space for contestants to share their insecurities and vulnerabilities, knowing that they will be met with understanding and encouragement.
Mrs India Worldwide Prioritizing Self-CareAmidst the hustle and bustle of pageant preparations, contestants must prioritize their mental health and well-being. Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide recognizes the importance of self-care and provides resources and support to help contestants maintain a healthy balance throughout the competition. Whether it's practising mindfulness, seeking professional guidance, or taking time for self-reflection, contestants are encouraged to prioritize their emotional and psychological well-being.
Reframing Success: Redefining Beauty Pageant GoalsInstead of focusing solely on winning the crown, Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide encourages contestants to redefine their goals and measure success in terms of personal growth and empowerment. Whether it's gaining confidence, honing new skills, or making lifelong friendships, contestants are reminded that their worth extends far beyond their performance on stage. By reframing their mindset and embracing the journey, contestants can emerge from the competition with a newfound sense of self-assurance and resilience. Beauty pageants can be transformative experiences that challenge contestants to confront their insecurities and embrace their strengths. By navigating the delicate topic of self-esteem with confidence and grace, contestants can emerge from the competition with a renewed sense of self-worth and empowerment. Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide stands out as a beacon of positivity and inclusivity, empowering women to celebrate their individuality and shine bright on and off the stage. Through supportive communities, prioritizing self-care, and reframing success, contestants can navigate the beauty pageant journey with confidence, knowing that their worth lies not in external validation, but in the strength of their inner beauty and self-esteem.

By India McTaggart and Tracey Kandohla
21 April 2024
The first statue of Queen Elizabeth II since her death has been unveiled to the approving barks of nearly 50 corgis.
The permanent memorial to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch – complete with her own immortalised dogs – has been hailed as a fitting tribute for the “mother of our nation.”
The eye-catching 7ft bronze statue went on display on what would have been the late monarch’s 98th birthday, with a group of her favourite dogs stealing the show.
It takes pride of place outside the library in the market town of Oakham, in Rutland, Britain’s smallest county.
It depicts a youthful Queen Elizabeth – who stood at just 5ft 4in – standing at 7ft in regal robes with three loyal corgi companions at her feet, one peeking out from the creases.
It serves as a permanent reminder of her 70-year reign and her enduring affection for the Pembroke Welsh breed.
Sculptor Hywel Pratley believes the memorial will become a hit not only with royal fans, but that it will attract social media users wanting a selfie beside the late monarch and her dogs.
Tumblr media
Speaking before the unveiling in front of a 400-person crowd and with a host of local dignitaries attending, he said:
“The plinth is designed to be sat on and I can see the statue becoming popular with the Instagram generation, and why not?
It will make a perfect backdrop for pictures and people will be able to reach up and pat a dog or if small enough even sit in its back.”
Mr Pratley, 51, who is half Welsh and lives in Chelmsford, Essex, told how he chose to add the corgis for a “bit of fun and to tap into the late Queen’s humanity and address her friendliness.”
He explained he made the statue larger than life because a “life-size Queen Elizabeth is too small. She deserves more.”
The £125,000 statue was commissioned by Dr Sarah Furness, the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, following the Queen’s death in September 2022.
Addressing the crowds in the spring sunshine, she said:
“We are witnessing a piece of history today with the first statue of Queen Elizabeth to be commissioned since her death and who gave us 70 years of exemplary service.
Rutland may be a small county, but the response to this had been huge with contributions from local businesses and individuals of varying sizes.”
As she spoke, barks from 46 dogs from the Welsh Corgi League rang out, and she said, smiling: “You can hear them!”
She added: “The statue is for everyone.”
Tumblr media
Before his cancer battle had been known and made public, King Charles III had been invited to unveil the statue.
It is not known if Palace officials had agreed to the request.
Instead, the honour fell to Alicia Kearns, the Tory MP for Rutland and Melton, before being blessed by Debbie Sellins, the Bishop of Peterborough.
One resident, Hilda Townsend, said: “It is just wonderful. We are the tiniest county, but the first to honour the late majesty in such a big way. It is a very fitting tribute.”
Her husband, John, added: “It is absolutely amazing and, as Rutlanders, makes us extremely proud.”
The unveiling of two of the three bronze corgis was given to two young children who had won a local school art competition.
In an emotional speech, Ms Kearns, 31, said:
“It is an incredible statue of our beloved Queen, who showed unwavering commitment.
We hope we can reflect on her legacy of compassion, strength and leadership. The statue was no mean feat and is for all of Rutland and all of our country, and to come together in joy. Rutland leads and others will follow.”
Tumblr media
The MP revealed that the King would be visiting the statue.
Crowds of local residents mingled with visitors from further afield, some waving Union flags, with children sporting gold paper crowns on their heads.
She told spectators: “I am proud to play my very small part in helping to celebrate her reign,” pointing to the statue and saying: “She belongs to all of you.”
Following the unveiling, a lone bagpiper played a lament to the late Queen and the National Anthem was played, with crowds joining in.
Dozens of corgis, some wearing red, white and blue, then posed beside the new monument with their owners and officials before parading along the packed streets to Oakham Castle for a meet-and-greet session with the public.
Among the corgi owners was Katrina Emptage from Lincoln, with her two-year-old pet, Mable.
She said: “The statue is absolutely amazing and I’m delighted to be here to see it and be part of the corgi parade. It is very special.”
The late Queen held a life-long, deep affection for the breed after she fell in love with the dogs as a child.
She owned more than 30 over the years, many of which were direct descendants of the first, Susan, which was given to her as an 18th birthday present by her parents in 1944.
Speaking of his inspiration, Mr Pratley said:
“I very quickly thought that I would like to have a corgi nestling in her robes by her feet because what a great symbol it is, artistically, of her being mother of a nation.”

Bangladesh's parliament has been dissolved, a day after prime minister Sheikh Hasina was forced from power.
Ms Hasina resigned and fled the country after weeks of student-led protests spiralled into deadly unrest.
The dissolution of parliament, a key demand of protesters, paves the way for establishing an interim government.
Bangladeshis are waiting to see what comes next, as the country's military chief is holding talks with political leaders and protest organisers.
According to local media, more than 100 people died in violent clashes across Bangladesh on Monday, the single deadliest day since mass demonstrations began.
Hundreds of police stations were also torched, with the Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA) declaring a strike "until the security of every member of the police is secure".
The group also sought to place the blame at the door of authorities, saying they were "forced to fire".
Overall, more than 400 people are believed to have died, as protests were met with harsh repression by government forces.
The protests began in early July with peaceful demands from university students to abolish quotas in civil service jobs, but snowballed into a broader anti-government movement.
Weeks of unrest culminated in the storming of the prime minister's official residence, not long after Ms Hasina had fled to neighbouring India, ending nearly 15 years of rule.
Bangladeshi leaders are under pressure to establish an interim government to avoid a power vacuum that could lead to further clashes.
Within hours of her resignation, Bangladesh's army chief Gen Waker-uz-Zaman pledged that an interim administration would be formed, adding on state television that "it is time to stop the violence".
Student leaders have been clear they will not accept a military-led government, pushing for Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus to become the interim government's chief adviser.
Mr Yunus, who agreed to take up the role, said: “When the students who sacrificed so much are requesting me to step in at this difficult juncture, how can I refuse?”
He is returning to Dhaka from Paris, where he is undergoing a minor medical procedure, according to his spokesperson.
Meanwhile, ex-prime minister and key opposition leader Khaleda Zia was released from years of house arrest, a presidential statement said.
She chairs the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which boycotted elections in 2014 and again in 2024, saying free and fair elections were not possible under Ms Hasina.
The BNP wanted the polls to be held under a neutral caretaker administration. This has now become a possibility after the departure of Ms Hasina, who had always rejected this demand.
Ms Zia, 78, served as prime minister of Bangladesh from 1991 to 1996, but was imprisoned in 2018 for corruption, although she said the charges were politically motivated.
She was not the only opposition figure to be released after years of detention.
Activist Ahmad Bin Quasem was also released from detention, according to his lawyer Michael Polak.
Rights groups say Mr Quasem was taken away by security forces in 2016, just one of hundreds of forced disappearances in the country under Ms Hasina's rule.
"There were many points during his detention that he was feared dead, and the uncertainty was one of the many tools of repression utilised by the regime," Mr Polak explained, adding they hoped the decision to release political prisoners "is a positive sign of their intentions".
"Unfortunately, the good news won’t be shared by all," he told the BBC, stating that a number of political prisoners had died in custody.
At least 20 other families of political prisoners gathered outside a military intelligence force building in the capital Dhaka earlier in the day, still desperately waiting for news about their loved ones, AFP news agency reports.
"We need answers," Sanjida Islam Tulee, a co-ordinator of Mayer Daak (The Call of the Mothers) campaign group, told the news agency.
Across the border in India, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said he was "deeply concerned till law and order is visibly restored" in Bangladesh, with which India shares a 4,096-km (2,545-mile) border and has close economic and cultural ties.
He gave the first official confirmation that Ms Hasina made a request to travel to India at "very short notice" and "arrived yesterday evening in Delhi".
India also deployed additional troops along its border with Bangladesh.
"Our border guarding forces have also been instructed to be exceptionally alert in view of this complex situation," Mr Jaishankar said.

Pairing: Lee Jaehyun (Hyunjae) × Female Reader
Tags: Fluff, Hyunjae is WHIPPED, They bicker- a LOT, they love each other so much, it's pathetic actually, eventual smut (duh), separate tags and warnings for smut in the smut chapter. MINORS DNI!!
For @un-love 🩷🩷
-------
Chapter 1
It's summer of 2024 you've just shifted your whole life to Brooklyn New York, a decision that you and your friends and family had to all collectively take, Brooklyn is expensive and people are rude sometimes but for the first time you're building your life
You love your job, not a lot of therapist can say that specially with how taxing the job can be, but you really love your job, you're one of the most loved therapist at Brooklyn's biggest hospital NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (yes i googled that) and let's just say you earn enough to have an entire studio apartment to yourself, something that you've come to realize, you love.
Your job is many things but it is not a job where you have a lot of free time, it might even be busier than working at a fashion magazine like your friend Daisy does, some days she is the only reminder of your life back in your home country, and your love for kpop and a certain kpop idol- Lee Jaehyun from The Boyz.
“Miss Rose, the director wants to see you.” your thoughts were interrupted by your assistant Liz- or Elizabeth, informing you of your rather sudden meeting with the director. Now the old Jasmine would absolutely lose it over being called by the director but moving to a place like Brooklyn from India has made you indifferent to these small anxiety triggering things.
To say that you were surprised would be the understatement of the century. The director had assigned you a patient of your busy (lazy) colleague, some VIP, whose case was “of utmost importance” to the hospital, which in itself was making you angry as if one life was worth more than the other. Nonetheless, you were gonna treat this patient like any other patient.
“Hi, Mr. Eric? I am Dr. Rose. I am taking over your case as of today, as informed. Please follow me this way” you introduce yourself to a tall man with freshly dyed brunette hair with a mask. He must be some high profile person given the way he was avoiding the stares from people.
R- You can keep the mask on until you feel comfortable to talk without them, our session can happen without you having to show your face.
E- Oh that is a relief thank you doctor.
R- So tell me Eric, what do you love doing when you are the most stressed and when you have a lot of leisure time?
E- Oh I thought you’d start with asking me my sickness
R- You say sickness like it is a bad thing
E- Is it not?
R- Well being sick is not great but it is not something derogatory.
*No one is born a patient and no one stays a patient till the end*.
*(From Daily dose of Sunshine)
As far as the questions go, if you’d rather me start with discussing your diagnosis, i am happy to do so
E- No its…its okay we can do your method.
I am skipping the actual therapy part because I am neither a licensed therapist nor a psych student to be writing that.
The 3 weeks you were assigned Eric’s case you found that against your better judgment, you guys were becoming almost friends, which is to say was weird in more ways than one. You were his therapist and you did not know what he looked like. You never asked him to take off his mask. He never mentioned why he prefers to wear one. So you decided you’d start and stay away from him in the hospital corridors when you often bump into each other after his session with your colleague.
E- I know we are not supposed to be friends and all that protocol, but you have really helped me in ways i could never explain and i am not the best person when it comes to gifts but i asked my friend j and he suggested this since you like to read- i've seen all those books in your office
Your gasp was audible to not only Eric but a few staff around as he pulled out a blue box. Eric quickly pulled you aside and for the first time, took off his mask.
R- You’re THE Eric?????
E- I mean I dont really say that about myself but i think you know me? Which is even better, so you know that i can afford this and im not robbing a bank for this gift, which also is not the case cause J bought this really-
R- Wait, I WILL not accept that, and give me a minute Wow! okay.
Eric, hi, I love your music and you'd understand when i say how weird this is to know my patient is a member of the group i love
E- aww doc you’re a fan. That makes me wanna be your friend even moore
R- Yeah, we’re gonna…we’ll talk about that later.
Wait, you're Eric from TBZ, so your friend J who often drops you to your session, the one who bought this SUPER EXPENSIVE gift, is J, Jaehyun? As in, Lee Jaehyun?
E- Yup you got that right! The one and only! In Fact he is on his way up, now that you’ve seen me, we can all talk comfortably
R- Oh No… no no, NO.
E- But why? Do you not like Hyunjae? *Gasp* Are you a hyunjae antiii??
R- WHAT???? NO! I could never hate my Hyunjae! not in this lifetime for suree!!!
“Well that’s good to know, Miss Rose”
You could identify that voice in a room full of noisy people, let alone the silence of the corridor, so you had no choice but to tun around and see a curly haired masked man smiling at you. Oh this is not good for your job.

Chapter 2 will be posted super soon!!

OC Kiss Week 2024 - Day 7 - "Dare"
In which Dr Williamson Jones chooses something other than a drink. (1054 words) WIP: Til Death Do Us Part (pre-canon) Characters: Dr Williamson Jones, Navraj Choudhury  taglist: @vacantgodling, @imsoveryveryconfusedatlife, @mrbexwrites, @hippiewrites (+/-) Content warning: alcoholism
Wine makes me warm and chatty: flushed cheeks and a purple tongue spouting purple little lies. Port makes my fingers and toes numb like they’ve been blissfully forgotten about. Whiskey makes me belligerent and sharp, a knife in the darkness.
Gin makes me all of those things, and messy and daring besides.
Gin’s the thing to drink in India - oh yes, the quinine in the tonic is supposed to stave off malarial fever, and the proof of the spirit kills off the microorganisms in the drinking water the likes of which London has left behind - but that’s not why I drink it. I drink it because I like the way it makes me numb and chatty and warm and sharp all at once. I drink it because I’m hardly daring at all, otherwise.
I’ve tried to remember if I was drunk when I agreed to come to India in the first place, or when I first invited Mr Choudhury to stay late for another drink. I’m still not totally sure why he stays late chatting most nights. He must like the man I am when I’ve had a drink as much as I do. Almost as much as I like him, and the hot, daring thrill I get when he turns his attention on me.
Tonight, that thrill is more like a torrent, the Ganges in violent flood, as I try to pay attention to the words he’s saying, rather than the shape of his lips as he says them. Tonight may finally be the night I decide to do something about this feeling that makes my skin burn and my tongue grow thick in my mouth.
“Another drink, Mr Choudhury?”
“No, thank you,” he says, standing. Diluted disappointment fills me. “I had better go.”
It is late, after all. From the damp heat of the verandah, I follow him back through my bungalow, his sandals tapping out a rhythm on the tiles of the atrium, my own steps trudging a reluctant half-beat behind. Gas lighting gives this place an old-fashioned, amber look, which I’ve grown quite fond of. Mr Choudhury looks especially attractive in the light, giving the mahogany of his skin an undertone that gleams like gold.
God, I’m wrecked.
As though I said that out loud, he turns abruptly, and my messy, numb brain takes a moment to catch up. I go barrelling into him, spilling gin and tonic and lemon all over his clothes.
My sharp, single-syllable expletive won’t un-spill the drink, and the handkerchief I pull from my pocket doesn’t do much better. But somewhere along the way, my hand ends up clenched in the front of his kurta, soaking up the alcohol, and the broad span of his arms are around me, holding me up.
“Sorry–”
“You asked me earlier,” I begin, carefully loading my vowels with the armour of an English gentleman, “what I had to lose, in my life. Well…” I fill my lungs with something humid and gin-scented. “For a man like me, in my position, with my…tastes…” There can be no doubt of my implication in the heavy emphasis of the word. “It is like falling from the stars.”
“No lasting harm done,” he says, altogether too kindly. I dab uselessly still, enjoying lingering here, close to the heat of his body that somehow cuts through the muggy heat of the air around us. At a certain point, the pretence is all but gone, and we’re just standing in the atrium, far too close.
A miasma of boldness fills the small space between us, and I take a bet on the amber glimmer of his dark brown eyes.
Damn it all, I do want him. Enough to trust him, perhaps where I shouldn’t. He’s an intelligent man - he could easily ignore my emphasis and choose to listen to my words, leave all this behind us. But he doesn’t.
“Then, forgive me.”
Christ, but his hands are big. Big enough to cradle the back of my head and span the short hair at the back of it, pulling me to him. I’m pleasantly numb at the edges of my sensation, but the place on my jaw where he leans close and places his warm lips is urgently alight.
I hardly realise I’m clinging to his thick arms like a maiden in passionate throes, or that I’m tilting my chin up to his lips, balancing on my tiptoes: certainly, this position is compromising, but I don’t care.
“Mr Choudhury…”
“Call me Raj,” he mutters into my skin, mouthing slow, deliberate kisses down my jawline.
“Williamson.” It seems silly, now, to only lose the formality when his lips are on my neck and I’m burning with arousal. “Can I prevail upon you to stay a little longer?”
He halts, almost as though he’s only just realised he’s kissing my neck. He huffs out a small laugh, felt rather than heard. “You’re drunk,” he whispers, but he doesn’t let go. “You should go to bed.”
“You should come with me.”
Gin makes me daring, and I blame it for my messy words. He pulls back then, observing me with brown eyes a shade more sober than mine. Alright, a lot more sober. The burning arousal turns rapidly to burning shame.
“I’m sorry–”
“I would,” he says, eyes dark and serious. It’s a look that makes my pulse pound thickly, making the numb parts of me come alive again. “Only…not when you’re like this. Ask me again, on a different night.”
My head is bobbing in a nod before I know I’m even responding. He’s right. Tonight, it’s time for me to sleep off my drink and a good portion of my hangover, and hope he remembers his promise on a different night. Hope he stays, hope he likes the man I am when I’m not…like this.
Arms dropping to my sides, my heels find the ground again. Gaps fall, relatively cool, where we were touching, and slowly, we both walk to the front door.
“Goodnight, Raj.”
“Goodnight, Williamson.”
Gin makes me messy and numb and daring and belligerent. So tonight, I keep the drinks cabinet closed.
Raj is sharper in the amber light tonight, and when he shakes my hand in greeting, no part of me is numb.
“Evening, Raj. Can I pour you a cup of tea?”

Trump Was Good for America’s Alliances
He pushed NATO to spend more on defense, expanded the Quad and facilitated the Abraham Accords.
By Alexander B. Gray Wall Street Journal April 3, 2024
Foreign-policy experts are predictably fretting over Donald Trump’s re-election campaign. They fear that the former president threatens the alliances and partnerships that have sustained global peace since 1945. Should Mr. Trump return to the White House, the thinking goes, he will be unconstrained by the guardrails that prevented him from torpedoing America’s alliances in his first term and will permanently damage both U.S. security and the international order.
This narrative concedes a point that undermines its premise: The U.S. alliance system didn’t crumble during Mr. Trump’s first term. On the contrary, the Trump administration strengthened relations with partners in the Indo-Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe and the Mideast. Anyone who believes that Mr. Trump was once bound by conventional wisdom but won’t be again—and will wreak havoc on the global order he ostensibly detests—hasn’t been paying attention.
To understand Mr. Trump’s record, recall what he inherited. The Obama administration’s disastrous “red line” in Syria, its ill-conceived Iranian nuclear deal, its failure to deter or respond adequately to Russia’s 2014 aggression against Ukraine, its toleration of Chinese malign activity in the South and East China seas, and its promise of a “new model of great-power relations” with Beijing had brought U.S. relations with allies and partners like Japan, Taiwan, Israel, the Gulf Arab states and much of Eastern Europe to a historic low point. Much of Mr. Trump’s tenure was spent not simply repairing those relationships but expanding them in innovative ways.
Mr. Trump appalled many foreign-policy veterans, who thought his rhetoric threatened the world order. In one sense, that fear was absurd: Nearly every American administration has publicly scolded North Atlantic Treaty Organization member countries for shirking their defense-spending commitments. Mr. Trump did likewise—and, perhaps unlike his predecessors, was seen as willing to take decisive action to secure change. Through public and private cajoling—also known as diplomacy—he secured a commitment from NATO members to beef up their contributions. From 2017 through 2021, nearly every signatory raised defense spending, contributing substantially to the alliance’s ability to respond to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
These efforts resulted in a significant redistribution of U.S. forces from legacy bases in Germany to facilities in Poland and the Baltic states, where they are far better positioned to deter Moscow. Along with NATO allies, Mr. Trump provided long-sought Javelin antitank missiles to Ukraine, imposed sanctions against malign Russian actors, and worked with partners to stop the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which would have increased European allies’ energy dependence on Russia. These weren’t the acts of a retrograde isolationist; they were the work of a pragmatist seeking novel solutions to 21st-century challenges.
The administration’s goal of strengthening America’s standing in the world bore fruit, including the Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab states, a significant upgrade to the Quad alliance among the U.S., India, Australia and Japan, stronger diplomatic relations with Taiwan thanks to unprecedented cabinet-level visits and record arms sales, and an unexpected deal between Serbia and Kosovo.
At each step, Mr. Trump asked his staff to think of creative ways to resolve issues that had bedeviled their predecessors for decades. Doing the same things over and over and expecting different results rightly struck the president as insane.
After three years of press adulation over America’s supposed return to the world stage under President Biden, one might ask: What have Americans and the world gotten from a supposedly more alliance-friendly U.S. president? So far, a catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, the failure of American deterrence in Ukraine, an Iranian nuclear breakout inching ever closer, and an accelerating Chinese threat toward Taiwan. Allies in the Mideast, Eastern Europe, and Asia have begun to chart their own course in the face of an uncertain U.S. trumpet.
The global foreign-policy elite is sowing needless fear around the world by willfully misrepresenting Mr. Trump’s first term and scare-mongering about a second. Should Mr. Trump return to the White House, there will doubtless be sighs of relief among officials in friendly capitals who remember his time in office. It isn’t difficult to understand why: Mr. Trump’s language may make diplomats uncomfortable, but his actions strike fear among those who matter most to American security: our adversaries.
Mr. Gray is a senior fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council. He served as chief of staff of the White House National Security Council, 2019-21.
