[Masterpost] SOARA Drama CD - “Gift”

Hello~! It’s been a really long time since I last posted on Tumblr, but I’m probably going to be more active here again (especially since Twitter is in shambles right now orz)~ Life has been a kick in the butt, but I have been working on a few projects that I’ve been wanting to work on, so hopefully my Tumblr blog will look alive (pun intended www) again! 

Let me kick the blog back up with a literal “Gift” translation~! Thank you to @melynir​ for requesting me for this drama! It is based on the plot of IveSta 6, but watching the stage isn’t really necessary to appreciate what the drama CD wants to convey ^^ IveSta 6 is divided into Growth and SOARA versions, but the drama applies to SOARA only, just in case you’re wondering where Growth and ZIX are.  

VAZZROCK translations are on queue, so please look forward to them as well~

Soushi: “Good work today.”

Morihito: “Welcome back!”

Sora: “Alrighty then, Ren-kyun, right this way, please!”

Ren: “Um, sure!”

Nozomu: “Ren!! Happy...”

Everyone: “Birthday!”

Ren: “Thank you so much!”

Soushi: “Huh~ What’s with the helmet?”

Nozomu: “It’s a little decoration like a samurai’s helmet! These little things I bought on Children’s Day are coming in handy!”

Ren: “A samurai, huh... (laughs)”

Sora: “Why not a kendo swordsman over a samurai??”

Morihito: “Hmm, yeah. That would suit Ren more.”

Soushi: “Has the former boy swordsman finally become a swordman proper now?”

Nozomu: “Swowdsman Ren! Yeah, he still practices kendo swings in the lesson room downstairs.”

Ren: “I’ve been doing it purely for exercise, but lately I wonder if I’ve been doing it to refresh my mind. Intently and repeatedly doing the movements helps me organize my thoughts... or something like that.”

Ren: “...Back then and even now. The fact that my head gets crowded with my thoughts hasn’t changed (bitter smile). I thought that once I got older it would get better, but maybe not.”

Soushi: “Well, you know what they say: the soul of a child at 3 is the same at 100. I guess you’ve been having trouble sorting your thoughts since you were three years old then.”

Ren: “Sou-nii, you’re being too harsh, I think.”

Sora: “Yup, yup.”

Morihito: “What kind of things are you thinking about?”

Ren: “Everything from day-to-day stuff, to about my future and about myself. Those sort of things. I can’t help overthinking it seems (bitter smie).”

Nozomu: “Then whenever you start to feel overwhelmed, just count on me!”

Ren: “Hahaha, of course.”

Ren: “I’m the one who keeps thinking that these thoughts can’t be stopped anyways.”

Nozomu: “We make a good team because I’ll be the one to knock out the things you’re overthinking!!”

Sora & Soushi: “Nah, it’s because you think less.”

Ren: “Haha.”

Morihito: “It’s true you still make a good pair though (laughs).”

Ren: “As an adult now... there’s nights where I have too many thoughts even after I’ve grown up. Or maybe that’s precisely because I became an adult. I wish I could put these real feelings onto the keyboard and let it sound out deeply.”

Sora: “That’s what SOARA’s for!”

Nozomu: “We’ll let it resound through our songs!”

Ren: “Yeah! From now and here on out... I’ll be in your care!”
