How often time flies
((Authors note: Munoora belongs to @painted-bees. So does this iteration of the mask salesman))
Munoora brushed off the small wood shavings from the block of oak in her hands, blowing them onto the floor. She was practically surrounded in wood chips. While this didn’t make a huge mess of the shoppe, Keat glanced down at the bits of wood around his friend and smiled nervously.
“How can you stand to have all of that mess around you, Noora?” he asked calmly.
Munoora glanced up from her work and stared at Keat.
“It’s not that big of mess.”
Keat furrowed his brows at that statement. “Mm, no it kind of is.”
He got up from behind the counter and knelt down to Munoora, scooping up some of the shavings. Munoora watched the shavings be carried over to the window and tossed out like that wasn’t considered littering.
“Keat, you’re gonna get into trouble if you do that!”
Keat just shrugged back at Munoora. “It’s my shoppe, I can rid my trash however I please.”
Munoora just shook her head at this logic. “Keat, that’s not how shoppes work.”
“Ho ho, says you.” Keat retorted back playfully, dusting his hands off from the rest of the wood shavings.
Munoora set her tools down and scooped up a handful of the shavings and glanced back at Keat. His guard was down, Munoora looked back down at the shavings in her hands as a bright idea popped into her head. She snuck up behind the unsuspecting salesman and tossed the wood shavings up like confetti.
Keat flinched as he saw some of the shavings fall to his feet, feeling the bits stuck in his orange locks. His shoulders tensed and he breathed in harshly for a moment before spinning round on his heels and smiled happily at his friend, his hands clasped together tightly.
“Noora?” he asked, his voice soft yet not so nice.
Munoora felt her mind go blank at this. She wasn’t prepared for the salesman to be angry at her for a little prank.
Keat moved in closer, reaching forward. Munoora flinched as Keat flicked her forehead lightly.
“It’s not wise to prank a Keaton, you know?” he chuckled warmly.
Munoora could feel her heart slow back down as Keat made his way back behind the counter.
“Keat? How many pranks have you pulled?” the Gerudo asked suddenly.
Keat’s ears lowered at that before perking back up and smiling at Munoora.
“Mmm, in my lifetime you mean? Well, that’s quite a long time…”
He leaned back to ponder.
“I don’t remember much of being in the spirit realm before the goddesses chose the other sages and allowed us actual thought…Ah, but I remember playing many pranks on some of the spirits, most were quite hilarious, others held…consequences.”
Munoora’s brows furrowed at that last statement. “Consequences?”
Keat nodded and leaned back over the counter, resting his elbows on the wooden surface.
“Oh yes, quite a few were honestly so shaken and angered by my pranks, I was almost banished quite a few times. Most that were shaken went into panic attacks…”
His ears lowered at that memory. “I honestly had no clue as to what I should have done in those situations, so I was rather frightened.”
Keat gave another glance back to Munoora.
“I remember quite a few times of when you would have a panic attack. I was a bit more prepared those times, however. Thankfully, you haven’t died from them, so that’s something to be happy about.” he let out in a soft chuckle.
“Well, panic attacks come from those who are experiencing too much around them, they’re overstimulated and panic, feeling as though they might die in that exact moment.” Munoora dusted off her hands nervously, picking up the rest of the wood shavings that had fallen to the floor.
Keat furrowed his brows at this statement. “Ah...that’s quite a cruel thing for people to go through.”
Munoora glanced back up at Keat while dusting off the rest of the shavings out the window.
“Y-yeah.”
“Noora? Noora, where are you?” Keat called out from the crowd.
He searched frantically for his friend, unsure of what all of this commotion would do to her.
Keat was about to get help when he noticed the small Gerudo curled up into a ball against a building, covering her ears. He approached her slowly. Keat stopped when he noticed that Munoora was trembling, whimpering out nonsense while breathing quickly.
“Noora?” he spoke softly, kneeling down in front of his friend.
Munoora shook her head, pressing harder down on her ears. “T-too much! Too much!” she whispered in shaky gasps.
Keat’s ears lowered at this, he was afraid for her. He pulled off his coat and draped it over Munoora’s head, covering her ears. He looked around for a moment before finding the Gerudo’s little mask nearby.
“Come on, let’s just go back.” he knew that bringing her to town was a bad idea.
Keat carefully held Munoora’s hands and lifted her to her feet, slipping the mask over her face and leading her away from all the noise. Munoora’s steps were shaky and she held onto the salesman’s arm to stay steady. Keat rubbed her back, shushing her softly as they continued to walk further away from the crowd in the town.
“You’re alright, just..just focus on my voice, okay?”
The shoppe was quiet for a moment before Munoora went back behind the counter, picking her tools up once more. Keat glanced down at his friend for a moment, smiling.
“I hope you never have to experience those terrible events again, Noora.”
Munoora nodded, a soft smile on her face as she continued to chip away at the oak block in her bandaged up hands.
((I done finished it, miss bee! Hope it’s a lovely read for you whenever you get the chance to see it! I really love mun mun and I just wanna hug her <3.
I imagine that she’d be a lot like myself during sensory overload, all shaky, feeling like I’m gonna cry, covering my ears. These type of things are scary, but it’s okay. Long as we keep fighting through the tough times, we’ll rise up in victory!))

I had an idea that after Mutton had offered numerous times for Munoora to stay at the House of Skulltula, and her declining the offers, she decides to surprise him one day. It doesn’t go exactly as she hoped.
Munoora couldn’t stand being alone at the Happy Mask Shoppe. She wondered where everyone else had gone. Even with her mask, it was difficult to communicate with her clients. Fado and Salami didn’t show up at all that morning. The inventory manager was, well, deceased so she couldn’t be upset about it not being there. Salami’s little Poe friend manifested at the shop sporadically.
And Keat... No one came forward with information on his whereabouts.
“I wish Mutton were here,” she sighed.
Mutton! Although she insisted she was fine living alone in the shop, she could really use some company today. Kakariko Village wasn’t too far away. She hoped Mutton wouldn’t mind her dropping by unannounced. But first... she had to deal with the crowd in front of her.
She took a deep breath and adjusted her mask. Munoora asked the clients to leave as she was going to close the shop early, citing the lack of helping hands. She waited by the door until the last of the visitors wandered out, apologizing to all.
With everyone gone, she packed a few essentials for her trip to Kakariko. The most important items being the Keaton Mask and the key to the Happy Mask Shoppe.
She cautiously stepped outside and observed the sky. It wasn’t too late. If she hurried, she might be able to reach the village before sundown.
The sun was falling faster it seemed as Munoora spotted the entrance to Kakariko Village. The village guard beckoned her to hurry inside before he closed the gates. She made it just in time! The guard briefed her on the lodgings: an inn straight down the road and the house that once belonged to the famous Sheikah woman, Impa, which was open to all.
Munoora asked the guard where she might find the House of Skulltula.
“That old shack? You sure you want to go there..?”
Munoora paused then nodded, holding the mask to her face. What did he mean by “old shack”?
Hidden a short ways into the woods was an abandoned house. She spotted holes and cracks in the walls and boarded windows. Was this the right place?
She removed her mask as she approached the door. She felt safe around Mutton. She didn’t need to wear her mask. But, when she knocked on the door, someone else answered.
Forget that! She smacked the Keaton Mask against her face.
“Oooo, who might you be~?” They asked her in a sing-song tone.
Standing before her was a pink-haired stranger wearing a frilly pink blouse along with a lengthy skirt. Eep! Mutton mentioned he had a few other brothers, didn’t he? She didn’t plan for this!
“H-Hi! I’m--”
“No, no, don’t tell me! You're Mutton’s little friend, aren’t you? Munoora!”
“Yes...?”
“Oh, how delightful! I haven’t had a guest in soooo long! Come, come! You will join us for dinner~”
Before Munoora can even think of what to say, he motions for her to come inside and a mysterious force pulls her inside the decrepit building.
Pinkel, the Magician
The house was in terrible shape. The candles barely lit the room, the floor was dirty and giant cobwebs covered the furniture piled up against the wall. And how could they have dinner if there was no kitchen? As far as she could tell, there was no Fabulously Rich Family living in Kakariko Village.
"What do you think of the interior design, hm?" Pinkel smirked, watching Munoora with amused curiosity.
“Do I have to answer..?”
Pinkel giggled.
“Where’s Mutton?” Munoora asked softly.
“Oh, him. He should be at the graveyard on the north side of town...”
She turned to leave but found herself stopped by a wall. Somehow, Pinkel made the entrance disappear. Munoora was trapped in a room with no exits.
“I wouldn’t stand too close to the walls if I were you~ It might get a little dangerous.”
Munoora hurried to the center of the room with Pinkel. She didn’t ask for this. Suddenly, the walls began to shift. The wood creaked as the house stretched, revealing hidden chambers. Gothic furniture pieces paraded around Munoora with their thin, curvy legs, settling down in the room.
“M-Magic?” Munoora asked.
“Yes. I put a charm on the house. It allows me to change its appearance but only on the inside. I’m sorry for frightening you. I didn’t mean any harm."
“Please... I just want to see Mutton. No more tricks.”
He nodded and watched her leave quietly.
Down by the Cucco farm, Munoora spotted Mutton at last. She ran over to hug him. He bent down to return the affection with a tight one-armed embrace.
“Munoora, did you come here by yourself? Is... everything okay?”
She told him she felt a little lonely at the shop and came to surprise him. After asking him if that was okay, he responded with a gentle kiss. He then carried her up the steps to Impa’s house. The guard eyes them suspiciously as they entered.
“By the way,” Munoora said as Mutton’s attention turned to her, ”I went to your house and met one of your brothers...”
“Oh no... Which one got to you first?” Mutton dreaded the answer, whoever it was.
“The one who likes pink.”
“Pinkel... What did he do this time?” Mutton sighed, rubbing his forehead.
Munoora laughed and began to tell him what happened.
The END?
I guess that’s it. I’m sorry if it was a drag to read. I’m not a writer. I imagine Munoora stays in the village overnight and returns to the castle town the next morning.
This is how I feel about it. Wait, I have a gif for it!
(It’s the grandma from Mulan asking Li Shang bisexual icon if he’d like to stay forever.)
Ms. Munoowa!! PWEASE!!!
Something that I took out was the detail about the skylight of the Skulltula House. In Pinkel’s illusion, there’s a giant Skulltula on the ceiling. Its skull shell glares down at intruders. Pinkel using magic is an idea my friend Eshi had. I thought he would use magic to do chores but she brought up a charm idea that I LOOOOVED.
It is now canon.

Little fiction.
As the door to the mask shoppe was opened by the young Gerudo, Munoora carefully put one foot in front of the other and peered out to look at the town. Barely anyone was out in the market today. She breathed out a shaky sigh and then took a few more steps until she was completely out of the shops doorway. The air felt cool and nice against her fingers, even the bandaged areas felt slightly better thanks to the light breeze.
The air and lack of townsfolk reminded her of the first time she had met that old Keaton outside of her cottage. Munoora shut hr eyes and smiled, falling back on her memories while fall leaves flew through the winds guidance;
"M-mister salesman? Where are you?" Asked the trembling Gerudo, still feeling a rush of anxiety by making it outside.
A light chuckle echoed in the desolated area, causing Munoora to whip her head towards the trees. In the shade beneath the trees, Munoora could see Keats true form through small cracks on the shadows. Even though it was unsettling to her, Munoora still felt a bit of comfort in that strange form she had been long haunted by in past dreams. In those dreams, she was always afraid, afraid of leaving the comforts of her cottage. That is until a sneaky little fox decided to visit her and allow her fears to slowly crack away by his presence.
"Come along then, Munoora. We absolutely must get you out into the great fields!" The salesman exclaimed happily.
Munoora watched Keat as he continued further up the path. She sighed and rushed after him, her hands trembling and breathing uneasy as a terrible feeling enveloped her mind. 'What'll I do if there are monsters? Can that salesman protect me?!' thought Munoora as she raced after the salesman.
"Come on, just a bit further now, Noora!" Keat called out happily, smiling back at the Gerudo.
Munoora's eyes quickly caught something dark up ahead. "Look out!" She yelled, but it was too late.
The salesman immediately found himself falling face first into a large hole. With a loud 'splat' Keat had disappeared. Munoora gasped and ran up towards the hole, peering down into the darkness. A low groan made her skin crawl, afraid that her only friend had perished.
"Ah Din! I just cleaned this coat yesterday!" Keat called out, obviously angry.
There the salesman sat, in a giant puddle of mud. He glanced up at Munoora and saw that the edges of her lips were twitching. Keat gave her a glare as Munoora turned her head to stifle a laugh.
"Don't just sit there, come on and pull me out!" Keat yelled, slamming his fists down.
The impact of his hands splashed more mud on him, causing Munoora to burst out into a fit of laughter.
Munoora opened her eyes as a familiar voice called out to her.
"Are you alright, Munoora? You've been letting in cold air all this time!" Keat scolded with a light laugh.
Munoora turned to her friend and smiled nervously, stepping back into the shop and shutting the door.
"Sorry, Keat. I was just lost in some old memories." She said, her face brightening at the funny memory.
Keat furrowed his brow and leaned in over the counter. "Oh? Which one?"
Munoora let out a light giggle and smiled at Keat. "Remember when you tried to get me out into the fields and you fell in some mud?"
Keats smile buckled slightly and his ears lowered a bit. He let out a nervous laugh and shrugged.
"Ho ho! I'm unfamiliar with that memory. I have no recollection of it whatsoever! Hm hm!"
Munoora rolled her eyes at the salesman's obvious embarrassment.
"I remember I had to force that mask of yours on you so it'd be easier to get you cleaned up. You kept scratching at the barrel cause you hated the bath so much!"
Keat avoided the girls gaze and cleared his throat. "Mm, nope! Doesn't ring a single bell to me!"
Munoora laughed once more. Keat glanced back at his friend. Her light smile warmed his heart. He could never get enough of her sweet laughter. It made him happy.

My last team for Miitopia
Munoora is a Cautious Flower. This One is an Energetic Mage and Rauru is a Stubborn Cleric.
I could make This One a Poe so I kinda based their Mii design off an old sketch. My headcanon is that This One was a Sheikah when they were alive.
