Obedience had been written into her programming, yet she still had some freedom, or at least Red liked to think she did. She could dream of a city where the streets were meant for shopping, not for selling her body. She could choose whether she wanted to be kind or not, and somehow it did feel like a small rebellion to keep choosing kindness in a world that gladly would have seen her beaten down and sold for parts. She could pray to Destroya to someday rise up and liberate them, to create a better world for humans and androids alike. No matter how some of them insisted she was "just" a robot, she felt alive. She believed she was. Everything that made her herself couldn't just be programming, any more than chemicals and neurons made up a human mind.

Dawn was close, the night stretching long behind her. The Lobby was just around the corner, a derelict skyscraper home to both humans and machines, but a noise down an alley made her pause. There were plenty of dangerous things in the city--though she healed most injuries far quicker than a human, she could be destroyed with enough effort if she was dismantled or her battery removed--but there were also people who needed help. She took a hesitant step into the mouth of the alley, peering into the darkness. She wasn't a military 'droid. Her eyes weren't made for seeing in the dark, and she couldn't make out much aside from the hulking shapes of dumpsters and heaps of trash. "Hello? Is someone there?"

(DQ11) Hero, the 11th Luminary — hailing from the quaint mountain side village of Cobblestone, 11 is a young man who recently came into his powers as Luminary at the meagre age of 16. 11 was raised in Cobblestone as a baby, but is really the long lost prince from the once thriving Kingdom of Dundrasil. Already, his life is full of risks and dangers as he navigates the world with his quirky band of misfits, hoping to put a stop to the evil Jasper before the world is thrust into an ever lasting era of darkness.

(DQ11) Sylvando, *ahem* that’s the “Great Sylvando” to you, honey~ — originally hailing from Puerto Valor, Sylvando is the son of the famous Don Rodrigo, a legendary knight who would go on to train Hendrick and Sylvando in the art of combat. Yet, knighthood wasn’t where Sylvando’s heart resided. And so, with an eager heart Sylvando set out to carve his own destiny. Wanting more than anything to bring smiles to people’s faces around the world as a circus performer. He would later join the Luminary’s conquest against the dark forces that threatens their world.

(DQ11) Hendrick, the Luminary’s sworn shield — a strong and well-built man, Hendrick serves as the general of the Heliodor army, alongside his fellow compatriot, Jasper. Born in Zwaardsrust, Hendrick would go on to train under the ever-watchful eye of Don Rodrigo, alongside his son Sylvando. He would also serve as one the storylines temporary antagonists, believing that the Luminary was the Darkspawn. (Under construction)

(Chrono Cross) Harle, the franglais speaking-jester — The ever-mysterious and beautiful jester, Harle serves as Lynx’s right-hand women and later on, the protagonist’s temporary ally. She displays a playful and flirtatious side upon meeting Serge, the central protagonist, she is also very skilled in black elemental magic. [Major plot spoiler ahead] It is also later revealed that despite her human appearance, Harle is actually the 7th dragon who’s power is directly tied to the moon. Her proper title is the Dark Moon Dragon.

In all seriousness, Android 21 has some issues that she needs to work through. Being in a power struggle for control of her own body that lasted years has taken its toll. She was alone with 16 as her only help for a long time, she may no longer have that 'evil' part of herself but it still influences her. 21 doesn't understand that a lot of the things she says and does is wrong, it is all she has ever known. She can be very manipulative without even realizing it or that it is even bad. It would take a lot of work to make a relationship with her work.

She may be selfish but she will try to put in the effort needed to be a better partner. She is currently trying to better herself as a whole but she will make a special effort for anyone that she may be romantically involved with.

[Well, rng actually picked an easy-ish one for me. Or at least one I’ve put some amount of thought into so eeeey.

Android 21 has little to no concept of romantic love. Being a creation of a scientist who would certainly not bother slipping that into her programming, it is a concept that holds little weight to her nor is it worth seeking. In most cases.

As I’ve discussed before, we do seem some inexplicable moments in her canon that show her caring about 16 (and I think even sort of alluding to the idea of love/finding love? it’s been a hot minute since I’ve watched the cutscenes but I remember SOMETHING that was like ??? to me because what we know of her creation firmly opposes her having such thoughts). This has lead me to come up with the HC that the woman who she is modeled after was an RR researcher whose cells were used within her creation and thus causes some leakage into 21′s over understanding/personality (her scientific know-how, her low key recognizing 16 and developing a motherly demeanor toward him in her good form). However, these traits outside of her knowledge only surface when good!21 is in control. It is not a possibility she dwells on, but her good side does occasionally fantasize about the idea of falling in love or contemplating what love is/feels like/if she has the capability to love romantically at all.

Evil!21? Never. I won’t say zero interest but it’s a very very very low percentage of interest in the matter.]

Bio: If anyone is familiar with the “What if Cell turned Good” story by MasakoX on YouTube, a similar thing is happening here with this version of 21. Taking place in the Android 21 Arc specifically (because that’s the story with the official credits, I believe.) the good 21 was the only one to not give Goku her energy due to distracting her evil half. With that she would send all the ki blasts into the Sprit Bomb she could which was just enough to overwhelm her. Afterwards, with everyone worrying about the good 21 giving into her hunger, Goku…had an actual good ide (surprising, I know.) He says that maybe Bulma could have Android 21’s genetic makeup altered. They could remove all the genetic data of Cell, Frieza, Buu (most likely,) the Ginu’s, Nappa, Radditz and so on that hold the evil within their very genes (supposedly.) That way, 21 can live on without posing a threat to humanity and the universe as a whole. All while somehow getting fat from all the sweets she eats…that aren’t people, of course.

If there was anything to be learned from the rise and fall of a self-professed god, it was this: Elijah Kamski was as cryptic as any human could live up to being. In one fleeting moment of humanity's history he had devoted his life's work to the creation and development of artificial intelligence. From outside perspective he put his lionized mind to use at perfecting code, striving to rid the world of its unease at the prospect of non-human caretakers, their faces which mirrored humanity's own. Begged and pleaded with them to give his technological advancements a chance, to change life as they knew it to be.

The immense success of android implementation into the everyday lives of average citizens had only led him to willful isolation. That was the clear irony of it all. The false mask of discontentment his behavior had impressed upon society. On the contrary, he sat comfortably in his secluded throne.

Caught between the two faces Elijah showed to the world was her, RX300, a pet project, just one of many prized objects in his possession. She was not the first by a large margin, a long list of faces to complement the proposed purposes behind varied programming. His overbearing treatment of the RT600, the first Chloe, the first android to be in his own terms 'perfected' by CyberLife, had entailed near-constant interviewing; a loop of endless observation and psychological marketing to the billions of critical eyes that made up humankind's collective judgement.

She was not her, not put up to the same task as she who had come before. This was evident by way of a differing appearance, a different modus operandi entirely with features reminiscent of a young Audrey Hepburn, her hair in a mess of dark curls; though her calling-name had apparently settled on "Eve." Eve, in a further irony, the name of the first human woman-she who in human religious texts was punished for stealing the knowledge of good and evil from God himself, tempting Adam, sharing that knowledge with him regardless of outcome.

It all seemed so poetic in hindsight. The luxurious events set up to celebrate the success of the singular, eminent man who had made it all possible. Not the births of his many sons and daughters, not the birth of a new form of life. His inner self was of course hyper-aware of the consequences that came with secrecy. He played puppetmaster-drove the car to stop at the cliff, then reveled in the constancy of teetering on the edge, the push-and-pull of imminent civil war, guided by his hands at the wheel, his foot ghosting the pedal. By the time she'd come to this conclusion, he'd already jumped ship. The only way he could get away with it was by renouncing his position, resigning from CyberLife and appointing the company itself, his legacy, to take the fall for his ulterior motive.

In the present, "Eve" had become "Ariadne:" liberated overseer of suffering, seeker of a Theseus that would one day come to slay the Minotaur of Kamski's making; the fear that had lit a fuse in the minds of humanity and subsequently set her guiding string ablaze. In the past, she remained Eve, unwittingly confined to the whims of her maker as she carried out his bidding with light feet and little-to-no self-awareness.

"Eve," Elijah called across the room to reach her synthetic ears, wired mind poised to listen. She stood at his attention, dressed lavishly, non-standard to that of the other models he had sent out into the party as modestly-clothed distractions. She bore no visible LED, hidden and dimmed under brown curls. No one would know the difference, no one would expect a spy, and therefore no one would be looking for one. "Survey the room, get a feel for our guests." He smiled, humbled in his attire and grooming, sly as he spoke just below the din, acting as though the exchange were natural and inconspicuous to any unwanted onlookers. "Observe them, watch how they interact with your kin," A chuckle left him as his eyes darted elsewhere, meeting that of the business-class who sought conversation with him. "Don't be shy."

Don't be shy.

A request to fine-tune the personality settings he had equipped her with, the social protocol with which she had been patiently tested to perform. This was the final assessment; the field test that would make or break her use in further clandestine endeavors. The eve of her crowning.

He didn't wait for a response as he flitted away, nor did she provide one as she followed suit and slipped into the excited crowd, shadowing magnates and moguls alike, dipping into their discussions with vigor. Her eyes blinked–wide, warm amber, yet mischievous in a way that provoked an inherent fondness–quietly observing, scanning the faces of humans and androids alike as she took to absorbing any information she could gather.

"And what is your name, my dear?" An older man seated in a high-end wheelchair, wrinkled with laugh lines and draped in a vest with expensive, stylized sleeves. Eve scanned him and collected his ID. Carl Manfred, celebrated painter of the Neo-Symbolist movement, close friend of Elijah's.

A bright smile lit her features as she addressed him with utmost respect and kindness. "Oh, it's so nice to finally meet you, Mr. Manfred." She spoke, serene, a transatlantic accent lilting her tone as she lightly bounced on her heels to accommodate her emulated excitement. "My name is Eve, I'm a big fan of your artwork!"

Carl hummed, taking her in with all-seeing eyes and reproaching the praise he received with a wave of his hand. She noted his wrist, smudged with dried paint. Odd, she mused, it had seemed the common approach to encourage a friendly relationship would be to attend to one's ego. His open humility caused a recalculation. It wasn't something she was used to, given Elijah's true nature, not that she would have known. Her eyebrows creased, narrowing as she formed her rebuttal. "Your work is arguably the most influential of the century, Mr. Manfred; it would do you an injustice to belittle the good it has done for this world."

"Answer me this, Eve," His lips spread into a smile as he regarded her, mysterious as he took on a quizzical tone, depth rumbling in his throat. "Do you believe something is worth more when weighed by the eyes of the world, or by the eyes of the individual?"

Philosophy. Concepts beyond simple functioning, requiring critical thought and soul-searching to supply an answer beyond just "right" and "wrong."

"Is an object only an object because we, as sentient beings, call it so?"

Androids were only initially programmed to answer simple formulas, simple equations which carried with them common-sense responses out of a supplied database of knowledge, exempt of individual thought.

He gestured with an arm, looking out upon the throng of people with human eyes admiring non-autonomous AI, everyone lost in the spectacle and not recognizing the true horror behind their sentient thought processes, ignorant to those without. Either party was blind in their own sense, stuck in a dream–or nightmare-alike. Eve lost words in the moment, seeing the scene for what it was only to be pushed down by her own programming. "I… am not sure." Devoid of the joyful spark she'd placated her inner demons with, blocked out by a seemingly impassable wall that caged her in and kept any true emotions just out of reach.

And Carl simply laughed, the sound vibrating in his chest, echoing in her eardrums, separate from the party noise.

Ayesha Peridot is a halfblood witch of South Asian descent. Her skin is brown and discoloured in some areas from exposure and reactions from eczema; she would not consider herself to be either light-skinned or dark-skinned but somewhere in between. Her eyes are a dark brown - so dark that when she was a child, she believed them to be black - which she received from her mother. Additionally, she inherited her mother’s very curly, almost-too-hard-to-control black hair which she likes to wear in several different styles, though usually half-up-half-down. Ayesha is a short girl, coming up to almost 5ft. She doesn’t think much of her body, recognizing only that she is small, rather slender, and seems to have broader shoulders than some of her family members.

She’s only ever divulged her fears and questioning to the Weasley brothers, both of whom she is extremely close to.

Ayesha can be boiled into two parts personality wise: she can be either extremely expressive and warm and bubbly, or she is stuck in a whirlpool of self doubt and insecurity. When she is in the former state, she can come off as quite a charmer and proves to be a wonderful friend; in the latter state, she can be quiet or temperamental, sometimes acting rebellious or recklessly to try and prove that she need to be taken seriously. It is hard for her to find a balance between the two, and at fourteen, she hasn’t grasped how to adequately handle these more negative qualities.

Ayesha splits her time living at Hogwarts, where she schools, and at home with her mother and father, Sreya and Ariq (often mispronounced at Erik). At Hogwarts, she shares a room with fellow fourth year Slytherins: Rowan Khanna, Merula Snyde, Liz Tuttle, and Ismelda Murk. She has no idea which of her two homes she prefers, though it is a lot more lonely at home considering how much older her siblings were to her growing up and how they are no longer living at home. Her eldest sister, Samia (currently 26), is currently working in public relations for a business focused on beneficial potions usage and creations. She is also planning for her upcoming wedding with fiance Kiran Khatri. Her older sister, Fariyah (currently 21), stays busy with her work within the Department of International Magical Cooperation while balancing dating and living on her own. She is rather close to both, often being cared for by them and being able to visit them when she’s out on holiday. Ayesha also has an older brother, Jakob (24, if alive), who she has never known too much about. When she was still a baby, he had already gone off to school at Hogwarts and he later disappeared entirely from her life when she was six. Everyone has always seen similarities in the two of them which she finds confusing since she had never had the chance to truly bond with the boy. She doesn’t know if she wants Jakob to be truly missing, hiding safely somewhere, or dead.

In her fourth year, Ayesha has opened herself up excitedly to the idea of possibly dating someone. It’s something she’s once discussed with Andre Egwu when they had first met, and it’s something she and Rowan Khanna sometimes dream about during late night talks in their room. When the Celestial Ball took place, many students at Hogwarts were worried over what to wear and who to take, and eventually it came down to Andre and Ayesha going to the ball together, both styled by the young Ravenclaw himself. Neither child knows what exactly going to the dance means for them, but after that night, they are much more considerate in how they interact and crushing very heavily on the other.

Ayesha has some history with depression and anxiety, though she only realized the presence of the two in her life at around age nine or ten. Acknowledging the possibility of the two at around eleven, it was much harder for Ayesha to start successfully at Hogwarts. Not only was she separated from her childhood home for months at a time, but she was also now in a place full of people constantly distrusting her and underestimating her and, worse, comparing her to her older brother who they had all painted as ‘evil’ and ‘mad’. Whenever she felt like she wasn’t quite enough or overwhelmed by outside pressure, she would unfortunately end up hurting herself in some way to clear that frustration or simply to punish herself for feeling so badly.
