A knight… The little fella sure has an interesting take on what a knight is. Honestly, the first few seconds Schezo could not believe his ears. A knight… He and a knight… That could not be further from the truth. Such imagery is not something befitting for him! Well, that and it just was not true in any way. Someone chivalrous, of good nature, sweeping in when people are in need… This is not something anyone would describe him as. And he himself would also not make such a bold claim. After all, he was not like a certain justice seeking fool and will never be…
It was just too far–fetched. He was anything but a knight! He was a dark mage first and foremost, a man practiced in the dark arts and always seeking for more and more power! Hunting for more, day by day! So hearing anyone call him that… It had put him off a little, he had to admit. He didn’t even know how to respond to it. Then again, maybe he would have said something with less hesitation if it had literally been anyone else. But disappoint a cute, little guy like this? No, he couldn’t.
Not when seeing him so insistent. Not when seeing him so eager. Not when seeing his utmost desire. It was hard to resist because one wrong word and his world might have come crumbling down right then and there. And at the end Schezo just couldn’t bring it over himself. He should have but he couldn’t. Because the next image flashing into his head was the tiny one, with drooping ears and eyes filled with tears, the look of shattering disappointment. So in the end he had first said it without thinking, promising to teach the tiny cat–like creature.
But once it had kicked all in he was hit with a wave of regret, wondering just what he had gotten himself into. A knight… Him, having to teach someone the ways of a knight. How could he do that if he wasn’t one? After all, he had been robbed from this opportunity for ages now. Having once been naive, claiming to ‘ become a man to achieve great things ’ and promising to never use dark magic ever again after escaping that dreaded place he had been trapped in…
And yet, it had not come to this. And it was eating him up, also literally. Bit by bit, piece by piece. He could feel how it was all devouring him to no end, all on the inside. It was sometimes hard to keep a straight face, to not just fall into other habits, habits he swore off some time ago. Even if it slowed it all down, it was better than succumbing.
Oh where has this all gone? “ I won’t use dark magic ever again after I escape! ” Shallow words nowadays, more than shallow. A false promise… Preventing him from ever achieving more. This is not what a knight should be doing after all… Let alone a hero.
And yet, the lie had carried on. Which one? All of them. Schezo was doing nothing but playing a game of pretend. But if it was for the little one… He had to endure. He swore himself to endure the pain, all of it. It should be fine. It will all be fine. Besides, he was no stranger to regular training. And such training was one every knight had to go through. Or had he been wrong about that?
Honestly, he was just taking a wild guess at this point. How was he supposed to know any of this to begin with? He had never been there and he will never be there. But that was beside the point, was it not? Yeah, besides the point… But good luck explaining that to his ‘big sister’ at least that was what he assumed she was.
The white haired woman he had found in his cave, having collapsed from hunger weeks ago by then. Apparently she had caught wind of Schezo’s current actions and honestly it may not even be a surprise. And even then, she was glaring at him that time, her red gaze sharp. Usually it would leave him unfazed and he would have told her off… But her question cut deep, even if she didn’t know.
“What’s this about a ‘knight’ I hear!?” She asked, raising her voice a little bit. She was clearly not pleased, at all. “What nonsense were you telling Nyeli!?”
“I wasn’t telling him anything!” Schezo responded, almost defensive sounding.
“Right, telling him nothing! What are you up to!?”
“I’m being serious here! I was not telling him anything at all! No fairytales, no stories, no lies! He came to me!”
“That…” She went silent for a short moment, as if considering his words for a moment before sighing, though agreement audible. “Alright, fair. That does sound like Nyeli after all. But that still won’t explain why you were lying to him.”
“Are you asking me to make a child cry?” He countered, slightly annoyed. “Are you asking to be punished by my sword!?”
“P… Punished by your—” She was close to repeating before becoming silent for a very short moment, only staring… Staring and staring… That was until he saw her face turning completely red, matching her eyes even, and she suddenly raised her hand, pointing a finger right at him, then continuing to shout. “Excuse me!? Watch your mouth or I will teach you myself what actual dark magic tastes like! Creeper!”
For a moment he wondered why she was so upset… Until he noticed, quickly correcting himself. “Hold on, no! That’s not what I meant at all!”
“How else am I supposed to understand your—”
“What I meant was that I will handle you myself if—! Wait…”
“That doesn’t sound any better!” She only became louder.
All he could do was sigh by then. It was best to not try correcting himself or the third time might become the worst. He was not about to have the conversation derail into that, far from it. “Nevermind… In any case, I’m not going to crush his hopes like that.”
Finally, the woman in front of him was calming down. She lowered her arm and her expression became a little calmer and her volume decreased when she spoke up next, though she seemed a little confused. “Not crush his hopes? Nyeli’s?”
“I told you before, didn’t I? I won’t make him cry. And if he wants to learn, then so be it. I’m not going to disappoint him now.”
“Dis… appoint? So… You are doing that for his sake?”
“For who else’s?” His own? She shouldn’t make him nearly laugh like that… If he could, that is. “So, will you keep your mouth shut or do I have to beg you on my knees?”
“B.. Beg? As if—”
“I will if I have to if it means you shut your yap and don’t tell him about anything.” He said, ever so serious. He probably shouldn’t and having to live with this title is going to crush him one way or another… But he was not going to crush a young one’s dreams like that. He couldn’t bring himself to do that. And if he had to do anything to get her to be quiet… Then so be it. “Don’t tell him about this conversation we just had, ever. Just let me train him, alright?”
A moment of silence, he could feel her gaze one way or another. And yet, his own did not change. He meant every word he just said. Every single one. So… In the end… Could he get her to agree? The answer was obvious…
“Fine, I won’t. But it’s also just for Nyeli’s sake. Not to entertain whatever game you want to play.”
Of course she would phrase it like that… “I’m not playing any games here!” He corrected for a moment, though at the end added a little more softly: “And… Thank you.”
Assuming a role he will never be… And yet, this was going to be something Schezo has to learn how to handle… He should be fine however, shouldn’t he? Yeah… He’ll learn how to deal with it, one way or another.

A dark mage with a horrible reputation. He's lazy, he's a prick and he sounds like a pervert. Everyone knows him and they all have their own thoughts… To say the least. Yet they usually boil down to one of those thoughts. And honestly, Mina is not someone who would disagree with any of this. In fact, she is the first who would agree with all of these. Honestly, she thought of him as a ‘pain in the ass dark mage who does not get his butt up to train and become stronger. He chooses the lazy route and yet even then he doesn't really succeed.’ Back in her days he would have been made a laughing stock before exiled as it is an insult to sorcery as a whole. The sheer audacity of this man! And if he tries to act like a villainous character he sure fails in that aspect as well. All in all he is just an idiot. She was very aware of that. There was nothing redeemable about him! Who is she thinking about? Schezo Wegey of course! No one else fits that description better than he does! Right? Right! There was no other way! He is like an insufferable, old man who cannot even—
Ah no, there she is doing it again, even if it was in her very own mind, complaining about him yet again. Maybe it had been the pride of a dark mage speaking within her… Or rather them. This was not something they could overlook and they saw him as dead weight. And yet, even they knew that speaking of anyone like that was not something they should step down to. It tended to happen.
They were aware that Schezo was far from perfect… Very far from perfect… Honestly, the only man they would find even worse from personal experience is the Dark Prince himself, Satan, and that was only because they did not understand how he would waste his power for pointless endeavors. Not to mention that he is chasing for a young maiden who does not want his attention. At the very least Schezo had not stepped that low as far as they knew. It wasn’t exactly hard to be not as bad as Satan however. What any woman could see in him was beyond their comprehension after all.
Ah, they got sidetracked again. All because they didn’t want to think about that again… That day where everything had changed. It had not been too long, only a few days had passed in fact. And yet, it was not something they wished to admit to themself. Not just to herself as Mina, but themself as a whole. Because thinking about it more would give them the rather obvious answer… And they were afraid to admit to it, especially with how they had seen Schezo before that day. It didn’t make sense, it shouldn’t. It was irrational. And yet… It was the only thing crossing their mind. And they were cursing that day with every fiber of their being…
It was rather unexpected, to say the least, and Mina had not recalled much before anything happened. The only fact was that she had passed out somewhere, most likely from exhaustion. Maybe a battle? Or a lack of food and water? Either or were possible options. She did not bother with any of these things. Why should she? Not like she was going to suffer the consequences anyway, being forced to wander this place for eternity. There was no way out of this cycle. So she can handle it one way or another. In fact, she had gotten so used to it that she would never notice until it was too late and she recalls nothing, not even where she collapsed.
Maybe it had been far away, maybe it had been right in this cave. She could really not recall a thing before dropping onto the ground and her memory had been woozy the moment she had opened her eyes again. It was all blurry and she had heard nothing, or maybe she had not registered it. But eventually she did and the moment she had a clear view of who had been looking down on her made her want to jump up… But the lack of energy wouldn’t really let her. Instead she was forced to lay there and look right at the person, much to her own dismay. Her first assumption was that she had just been found on the ground, nothing else. And yet when hearing a sigh coming from this mouth it suggested something else. Not to mention the next line said in annoyance: “Finally, you’re awake. Be more considerate, will you?”
“Schezo?” Was the first thing coming out of Mina’s own mouth shortly after seeing him back away a little, leaving enough room for her to sit up. “What are you talking—”
“Sisnya!” She had been interrupted from one moment to the next as someone tiny jumped onto her lap. Cat ears and tail matching his black hair color. Wide blue eyes which had been tearing up it seems and a regular adventurer rope (with a small wooden stick around his waist). A tiny creature with nubs as hands and feet and small enough to fit into anyone’s lap and grasp. The young kitty had clung onto her right away and was looking up, in tears and having a tight grip with his tiny nubs.
“Ny… Nyeli!?” Mina said at first before calming down from the sudden shock, then using one of her hands to softly pat his head. “You’re fine. Thank goodness. You aren’t hurt, are you?”
“No, he isn’t. But how can you leave a tiny one like this to fend for himself for a while?” Instead of Nyeli responding it was Schezo who seemed to be extra annoyed for some reason. She had never seen him like this, not even with this overly serious face. Sure, he was always trying to come off as not so nonsensical, but this was a little more serious than she was used to. It wasn’t even pretending, he seemed somewhat peeved at least… If this was the right word. “Seriously… He was panicking. I heard him at the other end of the cave.”
She couldn’t say why he was so annoyed. Was it because of the nyeing or had it been because she was lying there and Nyeli was— Wait a moment. “You… Heard him? So you had decided to arrive on your own accord?”
“Hey, I had to see who was making a ruckus inside my home.” He responded, trying to maintain his ever so serious face. “Of course I’d go check it out. And when I saw you laying down there…” Yet he had suddenly paused, not continuing this sentence for a while. In fact he was at the brink of having his face change its expression, as if he was hiding something. It was to not make it appear softer in any way. Yeah, maybe it was that.
“So you decided to look after Nyeli while I was out cold?” She asked, sounding a little careful about it. Maybe she was wrong and she thought she was. After all, it did not sound like Schezo at all. This guy, helping someone? It sounded far-fetched. And yet, it was the impression she had gotten of him at this moment.
One of his eyebrows twitched ever so slightly and she could hear a slight grunt from his mouth. He did not seem to like the way she had put it, or that was the assumption anyway. “I’m not going to leave a little, cute being like him all by himself.” He finally admitted and she thought it was that. His gaze had shot down to Nyeli for a moment who was busy nuzzling for a moment which did leave him with a slight, happy grin at least, something Mina had taken note of. It was surprising to even hear him chuckle, as if he was glad for Nyeli. This guy, Schezo, happy that Nyeli was happy… It was… A sight, to say the least. She had not expected that. And yet, it was odd all the same.
“So you have decided to help out my companion?” She repeated, though knew the answer already, as surprising as it was. “I… Thank you.”
“Sisnya b… being… taken care… too!” Nyeli suddenly threw in, him having paused his nuzzling to turn around for a moment and point at the dark mage in question with one of his nubs. It only made her blink however as she spotted the male in front of her flinch all of a sudden.
“H… Hey! That’s because you have begged me to!” He responded, becoming oddly defensive. “I would’ve left her on the ground otherwise!”
Mina only looked at Schezo for that comment. Yeah, that sounded more like him. And yet, he may as well have squeezed those words out of his mouth. “You did not have to…”
“He was begging me! I couldn’t deny him just like that!” He continued to argue. Perhaps it was the truth. And yet, doing it because a very small boy asked him to, doing it for him alone… It was weird. Again, unexpected yet maybe it had been in that moment where it all began.
Thinking this over it had only proved that Schezo may not have been as heartless as she had thought. After all, he did someone a favor. Even if it had been for Nyeli’s sake, it was still for someone else. And one look at him told her all she had to know, that he seemed to be attached already. Then again, Mina had no idea how much time passed between the two alone. So maybe it had taken a while. And yet… Could a true jerk grow attached to someone like this? Nyeli did not seem hostile either so maybe Schezo was not as bad as she had first assumed… It was unexpected but in a way… How to put it? Heartwarming. The thought had her smile all of a sudden, out of nowhere even. She had not noticed at first until it had been pointed out.
“Sisnya?” She had heard from the kitty.
“What is it now?” The dark mage asked her, a little annoyed.
It was then where she had taken note of her expression and gasped, noticing that she probably turned red from one moment to the next. A few seconds later and she swore she heard her own heart beating like crazy and she became more flustered while looking at him… Looking at the guy in front of her. This one only eyed her in utter confusion. Meanwhile Nyeli had stared with ever so curious eyes, Mina could feel it. Both were staring at her and did not stop doing so. And she didn’t want them to look, both of them. It was as if she had to hide something right then and there after all.
“I… I…” She had stuttered, noticing herself shaking. Especially Schezo's gaze became more imposing, enough for her to want to sink into the ground. No way… This can’t be! This isn’t happening… Is it!? Now of all times… Her view had taken a sudden shift, hadn’t it!? There is no way that she… She…
She didn’t want to say it nor look at it! And especially not look at him! Thus, out of nowhere, energy overcame her and she picked up Nyeli, facing the ground as she got up. “I have to take my leave! I thank you again! Farewell!” She stuttered quickly and dashed off. It could be that he may have said something but she had not paid attention to it, let alone to his reaction.
Ever since then Mina has dreaded facing Schezo. She didn’t want to see him again! Not like this, not in the state he has left her in ever since! She can’t face him now or ever again! What nonsense was this!? How can she grow such a feeling after so long!? How!? Just how!? This was not supposed to happen! And it had happened at the weirdest and perhaps worst of times! There was no way! Maybe if she forgets she won’t remember and yet, her trying to shove aside her thoughts only made it worse…
It has not been long but she starts to long for him… Wanting to see him again, talk to him at least. Was this normal? Was this supposed to happen? Ah, this is confusing! Never, ever had she felt this way before! For anyone, never! So why now? Why him!? She wants to deny it the best she can. She really does. But… There is no way around it, is there?
Mina has fallen in love with Schezo ever since that day.

“Sometimes you have to observe to learn as much as possible about your target!”
That was something Sisnya Minya loved to say! Well, she usually said that when she was about to ambush a big bad guy but there had to be some truth to this! Nyeli believed so at least. And in a way it was necessary for planning, wasn't it? Mhm, yes! Know your surroundings, then start coming up with things! That was something the great strategists do! And he already knew Minya rather well! So he should focus on observing Wedgy instead!
And that was exactly what Nyeli did for the next few days. Even if Mina would constantly ask the kitty where he went when returning to the inn at night, trying to crawl into the bed and thinking she was asleep. But it was necessary! For her happy end! The happily ever after he always read up on the black and white picture books of wisdom! All for Operation Kissy Kissy Love! So he could never tell her where he was headed during the day, to where he was sneaking to… Not without a foolproof plan at least.
And today had been of course such a day yet again. He was being a sneaky kitty early in the morning, crawling out of bed and leaving the room very quickly and tapping outside of the inn. He made sure to of course pick up a snack to eat for breakfast before tapping through the forest to the cave nearby, entering it and looking for Wedgy and then going into hiding, observing his daily routine.
It was the same old routine usually if Nyeli was completely honest. Most time was spent inside the cave, fending off one person after the other. Sometimes Wedgy even went to battle without hesitation.
Then there was nappy time here and there, the snoring so loud that it was easy to pick up with Nyeli's own ears. It nearly made his very own vibrate in fact. However, that time would also be disturbed. In fact, every moment in peace would be disturbed and Wedgy seemed to be prepared for it each time, even if he was yelling all over the place sometimes. Though he didn’t exactly say big no–no words, not that type of cursing. But rather he first mumbled some things under his breath before getting up and arguing with the person before blasting them into oblivion to get them out of his own home. And then he proceeded to do whatever he was doing, even if it were simple, boring chores.
Anyone else would be put off but Nyeli? Well… Nyeli may have had that thought at first. Wedgy was something else, literally, and it could be a little scary. However, the more the kitty watched him, the clearer things became. Firstly, the clothes. Nyeli had seen it many times in picture books – The colorful and the black and white kind. Wedgy looked like… A knight. The sword, the cape, the bandana… It didn’t look like a dark mage at all. He didn’t look like Sisnya for one nor did he have a dark robe around his body. And mages don’t use swords, do they? Not that he knew, that’d be a weird image. After all, mages go ‘pow pow’ with their magic spells. They shoot beams and stuff! They don't need swords! And there was only one possible conclusion to what Wedgy was…
A knight! Wedgy is a knight!
And being a knight is cool! No, super cool!  They can fight so much! Some are even known to slay big, scary dragons and stuff! They are always strong but also courageous, taking on different tasks to protect the people! They face various trials, grow stronger and stronger, always proving themselves and their worth! Of course there was much more to a knight yet the mere concept always had Nyeli fascinated. He loved seeing them – In towns, out in the wild or in picture books. They all looked so cool! So much so that Nyeli had the big dream of becoming one himself! And to his luck, one seemed to be close by! That was admirable, wasn’t it!?
And so, one day, despite it having been mere observations, the kitty had tapped over, with his tiny, wooden sword around his waist, looking eagerly up at the knight. Nyeli’s own tail and ears wagged just as eagerly, begging him perhaps. The kitty did not stop in fact, his eyes going as wide as he could manage at this moment.
“Oh, it’s you again.” Wedgy said once he had noticed Nyeli, having even kneeled down to come somewhat face to face with him. It was always different for the kitty, he had noticed. Any other stranger Wedgy would have yelled at and battled outside of the cave. But when seeing the small creature he was always in a better mood, smiling even, his voice a little higher than usual. Which is why unlike others Nyeli had no reason to fear him. In fact it made this a little easier, making Nyeli not afraid to ask for a favor. It would be two birds with one stone – He gets to gather information for Sisnya while on the other—
“Trai… Trai… ning!” He said eagerly, grabbing his wooden sword and move it up and down, as if swinging for something.
However, Wedgy tilted his head for a moment, first… Confused? Was it? “Training?” He repeated before seeming to cough for a moment, then adding: “Listen little fella. Dark magic can be veeery dangerous! You don’t want to—”
A quick head shake and sudden interruption. “Nye! Knight!”
And then the face of surprise appeared on Wedgy. “Knight?”
A few quick nods. “Nye! Knight! Nyeli knight training! Wedgy knight training!”
“Wait a minute! Hold on! That’s–”
Yet the kitty refused to take no for an answer. He had to learn from a knight, a real knight! And Wedgy was a knight, right!? Right!? So he would look up, wide eyes, using the ‘kitty eyes’ he sometimes used on Mina as well. But he just wanted to train as a knight! And now that he met one he had to learn from that one! ‘Please’, Nyeli didn’t even need to say it, his face said it all.
Yet he got no response yet, only noticing Wedgy looking away for a moment. “D… Don’t look at me like—”
“Nyeee!” He said however, tapping closer. Wedgy turned back for a moment, gasping and then turning away
“But I’m—”
“Nyeee!”
“Buddy, I—”
“Nye nye nyeeee!”
“Ok ok fine! I’ll teach you I’ll teach you! Just stop with that face! It’s too powerful!”
Upon agreeing Nyeli did stop, though smiling shortly after, tail wagging with excitement. Finally, a knight will teach him to be a knight! That’s exciting! Sisnya will be happy too once she hears this! It’s an excuse to see Wedgy after all, isn’t it?
Well, that was how Nyeli got himself a true knight as a teacher! Something he only dreamed of but here he was, a knight in training! … Well, or so he believed. Wedgy was already cool in Nyeli’s eyes… Being a knight only made him even cooler!

Operation #1 - Bumpy Bump!

Weeks of research, reading the ancient texts of dating wisdom… Having studied them like the scholars before! All for the sake of one mission, one operation! The operation of operations, one which cannot fail by any means! Because if it does then trouble shall befall the lands and his tears shall drown the entire world and no one may be left alive!
Or long story short: If Sisnya won’t be happy with Wedgy then Nyeli will be very sad and not stop crying. Because he could not have that. He wants to help her for once. After all, Sisnya does a lot for him. Like picking out his clothes, washing him and his clothes (even if water was ever so yucky, Nyeli had to keep himself clean), working jobs to provide food, always giving Nyeli the leftovers and Minnya sometimes not eating for days! Why?
“ You see, you come first. You need it to stay alive, don’t you? So don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. ” And she was so stubborn to not take ‘no’ for an answer, even the pouts did not work.
Regardless, Sisnya works ever so tirelessly for his sake! She always made sure that he was having enough to eat as well as a place to sleep. He remembers one time where she was ready to sleep on the floor, solely so he could get the bed all to himself. He had to stop her and beg her to sleep on it because she did not deserve to sleep on the cold floor. In fact, the cold floor was never a pleasant place, ever! However, in today’s plan… Oh please forgive this kitty for what he had been thinking of! Though it had happened not just once but several times… More than once and many more to count.
But what did this little kitty do? Well… You know of the scenes in the black and white books of wisdom? Where one character would be running, only to bump into their crush or something like that? Apparently that causes heart pounding and blushing and much, much more! Eyes wide and staring in awe! And even more when being helped up and taking the other’s hand. It was supposed to be very exciting! So it should help to keep things rolling… Right? Right!?
Honestly, Nyeli had hoped for it. The outcome was obvious, wasn’t it? He had sent Minya on a goosechase on purpose honestly! Well, or rather that he wanted to take a jog with her and thus had to wake her up early. Said jog was also part of the knight training regime! What did Wedgy say?
“ Uhm… Uh… Right! Knights always have to keep fit and… Stuff. So every morning, run around for a little while to get into shape! Don’t overdo it as well of course… ” As a knight in training now Nyeli had to listen to it and he would! He did his laps just like any other knight probably would! It is his duty to stay in shape after all!
So, for the plan to work, Nyeli had woken up Mina a few times as well, when she was able to wake up. Though she was extra grouchy each morning, looking at the kitty with her red eyes, life drained from them. And her silver–y white, long hair was all messy as well. She was not amused to say the least. She never was. And yet, as scary as she looked each morning, she managed not to yell at him, luckily. Though she would look peeved every single time. Yet with a bit of begging he got her out of bed and both were jogging, with Nyeli in front of course! Sisnya could barely follow it seems though… How easily was she out of breath sometimes?
The route was always the same, timed as greatly as possible. A jog around the forest, near the cave Wedgy lived at! Why? Well, he had his own morning regime, it seemed, from Nyeli’s past research. It was always around this time where Wedgy was outside, doing his own things. What exactly varied as he was always out for a short period of time at the very least. But there was enough time to—
BAM! – No need to explain, watch for yourself. Who knew that Sisnya being sleepy in the morning had its advantages.
It was almost routine at this point, with Nyeli stopping once he heard the loud bumpy noise from behind. It was his cue to stop and turn around, though hopping in place and watching the scene unfold from afar.
The next sight his eyes got were Sisnya and Wedgy. Sisnya sitting on the grass a little forcefully rubbing her head while Wedgy was… Well, the first few times he had been surprised but now not anymore. His face did not change its expression at all and he managed to keep himself on his very own feet by now. A quick look down and he even sighed. “You again.” He said, almost having Nyeli freeze in place as well just hearing it. Wedgy was cool… Sometimes literally.
Either way, a bit of head rubbing later and Sisnya lifted her head up, a quick gasp escaping her lips before she took a deep breath and was trying so hard to suppress her crushy–crushy expression. She nearly puffed both of her cheeks like a hamster would! “I’m not doing this on purpose…” She explained though was visibly embarrassed. Uh… Did Nyeli fail again?
“Let me guess… You’re out jogging again?”
“Listen, Nyeli asked me to, alright? If he didn’t I’d still be in bed sleeping…” Oh what a sad truth… Mina was literally someone who would sleep until afternoon and stay up until the next morning, then go to bed. Not very healthy…
“You should watch your step.”
“I… I’m trying, really!”
The two were talking a lot though… Hmm… This is not going as planned. Has the scroll been wrong or did Nyeli miss a step in his preparations? This is the… Uh… He didn’t count honestly but it has been many times!
“And yet it happens over and over again…”
“I said I was sorry!”
A moment of silence, the moment of truth… Uhh… What did he do wrong? What did he—
“Whatever.” By now Wedgy was shrugging it all off it seems, being all too used to it in the end. “Do you need help up?”
Oh! There it was! Nyeli could see it! Wedgy was about to offer his hand, wasn’t he!? The moment of truth, having even Nyeli at the edge of his seat! He even stopped moving, only standing there watching, ears wagging eagerly! This is it right? Right!? This has to be—
“No! I’m good!” Sisnya responded quickly however, jumping up from one moment to the next. It made Nyeli’s ears droop and sigh in defeat… Almost but not quiet. At least there has been some progress? Still, a bummer. This plan isn’t working. Maybe there is a secret requirement: the wise book with its pictures has not told him or he couldn’t read it. Or… Maybe hand holding was a little too much this early on? Yeah, maybe that’s it! So the kitty has to think of a different plan then!
And yet, Sisnya seemed to try too hard to seem fine… Given her red cheeks and all as well as her stuttering. “See? All fine! I don’t need help to get up! No one’s, haha! Take that!”
Wedgy only stared at Sisnya blankly and honestly… So did Nyeli from afar. “I… This wasn’t a—” He was about to say in fact yet sighed at the end, crossing his arms and shaking his head. “Nevermind… Go back to your jog already, will you? I have something I have to attend to myself so I don’t have time for this right now.”
Operation failed and thus the battle has been lost! Yeah, this battle has been lost… But this fight is not over! Nyeli will make sure that Minya and Wedgy get closer, no matter what!

Some Schezo thoughts I had some time ago. They are random, I admit, and partially build on the fact that he and Ragnus are at least counterparts of one another.
Inspired by a friend who suggested something and I decided to try buikding upon upon in my fic regarding Schezo and Ragnus (reasons for not updating it yet is also because I plan more ahead. But I try publishing a new chapter soon).
So in one of the latest chapters in the fic I am writing Schezo being called a 'knight' by Nyeli and how he feels uneasy about this. Basically the association with knights is a hero, right? And hearing that reminded him of Ragnus.
Basically Nyeli associates Schezo with a 'hero' which in his case is secretly making him remember some things over a hundred years ago. If I recall correctly Schezo was not always like this and got trapped in that labyrinth when still very young (it was during a school trip, that much I know) so it's already painful enough to be reminded of maybe some dream he had back then (by that I mean him maybe claiming that he wanted to be a hero when younger) and he can never achieve that now (I at least partially reference this in the chapter right after).
It's made even worse because he is afraid of the reaction once Nyeli actually meets Ragnus, essentially meeting what Nyeli believes Schezo to be. Also just overall Schezo hating the reminder that Ragnus is what Schezo is not.
This ties in with another random thought I had weeks ago... Schezo the failed hero.
The guy who was meant to be one in this universe (if we take Ragnus being is counterpart into account... Different universes so maybe was meant to be but Runelord said 'no' and sabotaged Schezo on purpose while he was still weak (me praying I do not conradict anything in ARS), a bit more of an expansion why Schezo is not too fond of Ragnus in the story)
Also all the talk about dark magic corruption in Madou and since I kind of go for a mix of Puyo Puyo and Madou at that point when writing Schezo. I am not too sure how magic exactly works (or if those rules change on a whim) so forgive me if I got something wrong. Ok here's the deal - Magic may always has downsides. And if Schezo was originally not meant to be in the position of a dark mage... What if he gets corrupt because he is technically not compatible? Yet due to having been forced to use it, everything is technically just going downhill. So listen, if I go with the assumption that he was meant to fulfill a role like Ragnus and was supposed to learn light magic due to the hero status, then dark magic would of course cause many issues in the longrun.
Thus I picture that Schezo tries to work against it but might believe it is hopeless. Now, there is probably no hope for him to get the dark magic out of him, the damage has been already done. But at least that he doesn't turn into the next big villian about to destroy the entire world or something.
Essentially this turns into the tale of a fallen hero who at least can slow down his downfall and at most can only prevent the worst from ever happening.
Again, some thoughts I had in regards to Schezo and felt like sharing. If I contradicted something I apologize. I'm still a newbie for Puyo Puyo and Madou so I'm going mostly on a whim here.

I really want to talk about this man more but I think he'd need to be quiet because a good percentage of what he says sounds wrong.
Anyways this is him in Puyo Puyo ~n and I just-

This all in itself was rather odd, to say the least. Because never, ever had Nyeli imagined seeing his Sisnya like this. He was used to seeing Mina as this cool big sister who would run from no one and nothing, ever! And yet, that one interaction had made her so weak, so red that she had grabbed Nyeli and fled from one moment to the next. Needless to say, the kitty was confused for a moment. This was very unlike her, so much so that he was about to blame a curse or any of the kind on the guy who had stayed close to her!
But he thought about it twice. Wedgy… Was it? Hmm…No, that didn’t sound right. And yet it was the only thing Nyeli could recall, let alone pronounce. So it had to do! Wedgy! Yeah, Wedgy!
However, back to the actual thought at hand – Wedgy didn’t seem like that type of person. After all, he was nice enough to look after Sisnya, to make sure she doesn’t get attacked or sick. Plus he played with Nyeli and even had some fun stories to tell. He didn’t come off to Nyeli to be the type. In fact, he seemed pretty cool. But that was just his opinion. And he promised to not hurt or do anything funny to Sisnya. He kept this promise, surely. Yeah, Nyeli can vouch for it. Otherwise Wedgy would have smelled funny or something!
But then, what was it? The kitty had to figure that one out. Why was Mina acting so funny around Wedgy? The kitty didn’t understand… People can be complicated sometimes. It was too much for his kitty brain at the time. Sisnya always looked like she had a fever when just mentioning Wedgy’s name. She would always become red like a tomato and then run off from one moment to the next.
Oh, and her sleeptalking got worse too. Whenever inside an inn he observed her hugging onto the pillow in the morning, grinning like an idiot and mumbling Wedgy’s first name… Which was too complicated for the kitty to pronounce at this point in time. Either way, she was also mumbling things. Lots of things, like:
“Hehe~ No escape, I captured you~”
“Eh, why that face~? Aren’t you a pervert~? I bet you want to kiss a girl at least once in your life~”
“Guh… Don’t leave~ I wanna… Cuddle… More~”
The ever so serious Sisnya Mina, even in her dreams, was giggling and rolling around with the pillow in her arms, sometimes nuzzling it with the widest grin on her face. Nyeli had never seen her like this and he found it more than odd. And he could only guess what she was dreaming about. No wait, he couldn’t. He didn’t get it. It was too complicated… At least at first glance. After all, this kitty was young at this point and still had so much to learn!
Thus he would consult the ever so wise texts he picked up during travels with Mina. Some he had found out in the wild or in bookstores. They were like picture books, just with more pages and in black and white. But they were drawn in a way he wished he could draw and sometimes he would try to imitate the styles the best he could. But more importantly, these books also have texts in them, small chunks he could tackle one at a time. if he didn’t know how to read a word he would just ask Sisnya. Actually, even while in the cave Wedgy had taught Nyeli some new words too with the help of these books! So they hold valuable lessons within them, don’t they? And if he cannot ask Sisnya he always asked one of his picture books, looking through them until he got an answer.
And the kitty had done so while scanning every single page within the books he had at nubs right now. He was turning pages and took a close look. And with some luck he could find one book which matched Sisnya’s behavior perfectly – A girl blushing and running from a boy or always having a ‘heart pounding’ when close to him? She seemed… Embarrassed? That was what her speech bubbles said at least! She had a hard time keeping her composure towards the guy and would run last second in this book.Though there were a few pages where she expressed to ‘like him a lot’. She is just afraid to face him… If Nyeli read those words correctly.
Needless to say, it was a match. A perfect match to how Sisnya acted. Was she also afraid of Wedgey? But he isn’t scary. The kitty didn’t get it at first, sitting on top of the page of the open book and crossing his nubs, sitting and thinking hard. So much so that his tail was wagging up and down constantly. Why would Sisnya be scared? It didn’t make any—
But then, right there, the cat connected the dots! His ears wagged upon the realization and his eyes widened a little. Ah, of course! The girl in the book likes the boy! So Sisnya must like Wedgy, so much so that she is afraid to mess up and thus runs from him! Yeah, that made sense! Plus she seems to dream about him too, a lot, and seemed to be happy in those dreams! She likes him, yes! Clearly!
And it’s not casual like either then, no. Mina likes Nyeli too yet doesn’t run from him nor turns red. That also goes for anyone else the two come across and like, Sisnya is fine towards them. But Wedgy… He is special! She likes him but not the usual like. No, it’s the like where you want to go kissy kissy! What was that called again? Hmm… The like where you go kissy kissy… Kissy kissy… Kissy ki–
Nye! It dawned on Nyeli then! His ears perked up once more and a light bulb may as well have appeared above his head! ‘Love’, that’s what this is called! Not how you would love family and friends, but the special type of love! Kissy Kissy Love! Yes yes! Sisnya feels Kissy Kissy Love towards Wedgy! That was the only possibility in Nyeli’s mind! That had to be it! This was obvious!
So… If Mina is having Kissy Kissy Love feelings… Then… Yeah, she can’t act upon it. She is too embarrassed, isn’t she? Alright, that settles it! Nyeli has to do his best to help here! So they can be happy together!
Well, but before he comes up with a plan…  Maybe Nyeli should try figuring out more about Wedgy first. It might be useful. But it’s a plan! And the kitty is set on following it through!
Operation Kissy Kissy Love has to be a success!

🌦️❤️ for whichever insert ud like to answer for !! - @dmclr
Hello and thanks for the ask!
And one of my choices again. Hmm… For this one I will have Mina be the one, so the focus will be with Schezo. I try to be as in depth for them as I possibly can.
Askgame here
Tumblr media
🌦️: Would you be accompanied by mostly fluff or angst fanfics? Both? Explain why.
Now you might expect me to say ‘Puyo Puyo is lighthearted so of course the fics would be primarily fluff and nonsensical’. And while I could see it happening do not underestimate the dark nature this can have. Well, if taking Madou Monogatari into, especially early on, there might be more angst than thought. I might have that impression myself because of how I like to view Schezo, even during Puyo Puyo – A lot of his behavior can be traced back to his beginnings. And while I am aware that Puyo-Puyo is a reset, I do not like to completely disregard key aspects within Madou Monogatari (the games themselves are a mess in terms of canon though, given some stories have multiple versions of the same tale).
Now, Madou Monogatari has stuff which is lost in translation so I only have to take word of mouth for granted as well as the things I can piece together when looking at some cutscenes. So take what I say with caution. I apologize if things are inaccurate.
So Schezo's deal is that he is a dark mage. How did he get there? Well, apparently he got trapped inside a labyrinth while on a school trip and had to escape. He used dark magic as well to escape, first swearing to only use it to escape this place yet it is hinted that it slowly consumes him. Add that he lives in isolation and prefers to be alone (which I think can explain his lack of communication skills… Seriously how he phrases things sometimes is terrible out of context) and you get a recipe for disaster.
Mina has a similar deal, I will keep her story short – Basically she is an immortal dark mage who lost her friend. She tempered a bit with mortality, resulting in her friend being in an endless loop of dying in the similar way he was killed and always around the same age. Her immortality is a curse she casted on herself by accident.
Now, again, I can see light hearted stuff being a thing, obviously, but taking both backgrounds into account I can see a decent amount of angst being somewhat prominent as well between the two. There are several scenario possibilities fics could focus on:
The immortality curse – Schezo's mortality status isn't too clear but Mina could be haunted with thoughts of him dying, even if only in nightmares.
An alternate timeline where Schezo completely loses himself due to dark magic and is beyond saving.
When being closer perhaps a fear of isolation on both ends – That one leaves the other alone permanently. Especially in Schezo's case since he was trapped inside a labyrinth for a while.
These are just some specific ideas yet there might be more – I just say that there is potential.
Or disregard everything I just said and only have fluffy, funny nonsense between them going on, especially thanks to Nyeli. Then again, seeing a couple hanging out with cute creatures because they both love cute things is also not a bad thing.
❤️: How popular is you x your f/o? Are you a rarepair?
That is a tough one for these two. Uh let me try to make sense of it…
Outside of my fic I picture that Schezina is at least somewhat implied after all across the games – Mina is rather obvious, given how she acts around Schezo and it is almost a gag that everyone else notices. However, Schezo might have hints but nothing too obvious (he doesn't dislike Mina but I do think he misses the signs for a while, mainly because he pays no attention to something like that due to his own pursuits).
I could see people liking such a dynamic and it might be decently popular because the hints are there. Plus unlike some other dynamics (Satan/Rulue for example… As well as Satan/Arle) it is not stated to be one sided. At worst Schezo is just a bit dense when it comes to Mina's feelings. So it could prove to be at least somewhat liked but not the most popular, given the popularity I think Schezo/Lemres has (and I think Schezo/Arle… Uh… I see it around. It… Exists).
I would say it is in the clear middle, not quite a rarepair but most likely far from the most popular one.
Thanks for letting me ramble and as well for the ask. I hope it was at least somewhat interesting to read!
