Relatório de Visita ao Núcleo de Desenvolvimento Infantil da UFSC

Procurando conhecer a dinâmica, cotidiano e arquitetura de um espaço de ensino infantil com método pedagógico alternativo, entramos em contato com o Núcleo de Desenvolvimento Infantil (NDI) da UFSC para que pudéssemos fazer uma visita ao local.

Ministrada pela professora e coordenadora de pesquisa e extensão Caroline Machado, a visita iniciou com uma apresentação da filosofia e método de ensino da escola, a cronologia das diferentes construções lá presentes seguido de um espaço para que tirássemos quaisquer dúvidas que tivéssemos. Após essa conversa, iniciamos a visitação propriamente dita do local.

Assim, recolhemos algumas informações gerais e espaciais:

➡ Gerais:

• O NDI é um local antigo (42 anos) que passou por mais de uma etapa de construção e ampliação.

• O local não foi construído para a faixa etária que hoje o ocupa, originalmente o espaço foi pensado somente para crianças de 0 a 3 anos e era ocupado somente pelos filhos dos docentes e trabalhadores da Universidade. Hoje, após algumas expansões e reformas, o espaço é ocupado por 212 crianças de 0 a 6 anos de idade , 106 em cada período, que são selecionadas por sorteio aberto à toda a comunidade.

• Apesar da inscrição do sorteio ser aberto à todos, a seleção ainda não possui sistema de cotas afirmativas e são poucas as pessoas de fora do ambiente da Universidade que efetivamente sabem e se inscrevem.

• O método de ensino e aplicação pedagógica da escola é, em geral, experimental e livre para cada professor, entretanto, possui perspectiva teórica principal pautada na Teoria Histórico Cultural.

• A presença e convivência familiar no local, além de perceptível, foi muito frisado pela Professora. Ao contrário de escolas comuns, nas quais os pais deixam os seus filhos e apenas os buscam no final do dia, no NDI a família do estudante é apoiada a interagir dentro do local e a participar das atividades dentro do local.



➡ Espaciais:

• O primeiro espaço construído do local foi o volume que se encontra logo na entrada, hoje voltado para os alunos de 0 a 3 anos. Abriga também o refeitório, biblioteca e salas improvisadas da parte administrativa e arquivo. Já o prédio mais novo abriga a os alunos de 3 a 6 anos, uma quadra e um auditório.

• Em razão da expansão da faixa etária contemplada, e da época em que a maior parte do espaço foi projetada, em diversas situações, há a necessidade de adaptação do espaço para que as atividades propostas ao alunos sejam ministradas.

• Há também a problemática de que alguns espaços se mostram restritivos e super protetores para as crianças. Carol nos ressaltou a altura das janelas como um problema que ele gostaria de resolver: janelas altas não possibilitam a crianças enxergar a área externa às salas de aula, situação que ocorre no NDI.

• Os espaços voltados aos trabalhadores é pequeno e improvisado.

• O acesso e uso do espaço por pessoas com deficiência motora se mostra muito difícil e em muitos casos até impossível.



Assim, ao final da visita, decidimos que nossa intervenção no projeto da disciplina seria na forma de uma expansão para o NDI. Um espaço acessível em que sejam ministradas aulas para crianças na faixa etária de 3 a 6 anos que se adapte melhor às necessidades deles, além de uma parte voltada também para a integração dos próprios professores.

So it’s an experiment?

There’s people who know that stuff behind it, mostly the economy and taxation questions

Corporations are evading taxes, or people are complaining from high sales taxes, or income taxes, it’s about finding a balance that works state by state

Where is NDI based?

In Washington D.C, it’s also a think tank to come up with solutions

It’s based on the new deal?

It’s inspired by the new deal, that worked, doing things that work for everyone, the government corporations and taxpayers

Fair wages are maybe a democrat agenda?

No it’s a republican agenda, higher wages mean people are going to spend more, that increases corporate profits, let’s not tiptoe around democrat or republican, NDI is about making business sense to everyone, by the way it’s also a book, well thought well articulated, possibly by several co authors

Trump wants to arm teachers?

Why not give them bazookas, that issue can be resolved with more security that the government probably does not provide for lack of funding

So pro gun control?

No because it is a divisive issue and it’s too much time spent arguing, but pro smart guns, doesn’t it strike anyone as odd that we have smartphones with fingerprint recognition that can’t kill anyone, but we have at the same time dumb guns where anyone can press the trigger and kill dozens

How smart can guns be?

As smart as their engineers, and dispose of a setting that forcefully disables them inside public places, via RFID probably except those owned by law enforcement

Dumb guns would become illegal to own?

If not to own than to carry around, plus the manufacturers would have to make plans to recall them, replace them with smart weapons through a moratorium

It’s a constitutional right to own a gun?

It’s a constitutional right to own your gun, how do we know it’s your gun? It is that range of questions which the think tank has to study

What would pro gun people say?

Where’s the issue? I guess the last thing anyone of them wants is their guns getting stolen or misappropriated to commit crimes, plus there can be a range of options that can be implemented and that can interest them, as in I activate the gun and release the safety because I am keeping that gun at home for security, now if I do these 2 actions consecutively a silent alert will be sent to the police via bluetooth and via the net after that through my ISP

Bluetooth is low energy coin cells will do to power it, my watch has one I only have to change it every 10 years, and it allows for a range of applications such as knowing your gun has been removed from your home or business

The magazines have a battery pack at the bottom at a higher voltage to engage the trigger mechanism, keep them charged same as you would with your walkie talkies, if you run out of magazines the gun is useless anyways

A question that will interest weapons specialists, can these smart guns be tempered with?

They can come with some components under vacuum, usually with the stuff you want to temper, that are triggered by chemical reaction when exposed to air, if it happens you can throw it after that, so it can only be taken apart by the manufacturer

The gun would still trigger?

It depends how its engineered, at any rate the finger recognition would become unworkable, and if police checks it they will take it away

It's quite detailed?

If you want to sell something to gun makers they are going to want to know what it is exactly, especially when it changes how they engineer and sell their products

It’s a tall order implementing this smart guns agenda?

It’ll take time and effort but it can be done, with the priority that when an obsolete gun falls within the hand of authorities it is scrapped never put back on the market with the exemption of collectibles, antiques, and that gun manufacturers and sellers play the game with buy back programs

A dumb gun has to become something very difficult to find not something you can buy at a street corner

So smart guns are a big component of NDI’s agenda?

Homelessness, drugs, and guns, that’s a very toxic mix

Trying to become a Vtuber or create a story board?

 Are you trying to be a Vtuber and do not know where to start? I can basically walk you through. You are going to need Adobe character animator and adobe animate. The Adobe Character animator will allow you to make a story board and will allow you to use the puppet.

If you have a camera connected to your computer. You can use it to move your character around in sync but if you do not, you can use your mic to basically make the puppet talk. You can use an puppet already made or you can create one but it will take a while to create and make it able to talk like the ones already made. To make one, you will have to animate it and give it a mouth and all kinds of other things to get it to move. 

You are also going to need NDI  as a source on your Stream-labs or OBS to basically make it appear on the screen.  This is just a basic way to get started and get you use to it.  There are other soft wares out there.

There's a vacant wheelchair accessible government house that has been available since at least last year, maybe longer, during a housing crisis.

Despite asking again and again, I and many others have been deemed "not disabled enough" for disability housing. There are no accessible housing options in the private market.

I'm so angry.

what is with The Ableds working with disabled people always talking about getting you ready to go back to work? Hey have you considered that I'm currently too disabled to work? That so much as showering and feeding myself and recreation is a struggle? Let's maybe put 'back to work' on the shelf, okay?

Today the major hard-right political party in my country put out a video about the National Disability Insurance Scheme. For those overseas, the NDIS is a system by which disabled individuals can have funding plans supporting disability aids, from wheelchairs or prosthetics to sensory equipment.

It's an attack on disabled people every time some politician who thinks we shouldn't be a burden on the taxpayer starts taking potshots at the systems that give us the ability to live our lives. That our lives don't have value and come down to the dollar amount we cost the government, even though it's known that NDIS participants contribute $2 to the economy for every $1 received. But it doesn't matter. To them we're scammers. Leeches. And every day is more and more demoralising hearing these people rant about how we're scamming the country.

The NDIS is far from perfect. Providers hike prices if the client is an NDIS participant so they get more money. Many disabled people in desperate need of major aids like powerchairs aren't considered eligible. But it's a step, and participants aren't scamming the Golden Ideal of the Taxpayer. Disabled people are people too.

Australia isn't really spoken about in a lot of disability discourse, but the NDIS is constantly under attack, and people are left in need unable to access vital disability equipment. The government and politicians assign a dollar amount to our lives and for too many of us that number can be zero.

Que el tiempo te da otra perspectiva es verdad y la reunión de No Demuestra Interés es la prueba fehaciente de ello. Amados y renegados con igual pasión.
