just professing my love to the broad category of cephalopods, with octopuses and specifically blanket/dumbo octopuses under there getting extra love. thanks for being at my core, something that is more recognizable as "me" than any name i've been called.

also thank you blue ringed octopus for having tetrodotoxin in your body. if i were to die from it, that would be my best way to go out. not that i plan on it but DAMN thats a cool neurotoxin. also found in a bunch of other things like some pufferfish!

Octopoda. This order is made up of octopuses, predatory marine creatures with eight limbs. Their soft body allows them to squeeze trhough small spaces. They are capable of camouflage and are among the most intelligent animals.

Nautilida. This order is made up of nautilis, which have a unique planispiral shell, and move via jet propulsion. They're morphologically veyr similar to their ancient relatives, and are often called living fossils.

Octopus

Octopi are associated with many things throughout cultures, the main things however are; adaptability, intelligence, and mystery. As well as problem-solving abilities and elusive nature.

There isn't a direct association between octopi and a specific planet. Although the one most alligned would probably be Neptune due to the connections to the oceans.

The same counts for zodiac signs, although the traits and qualities of the octopus could align with the water signs; Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Again, due to their connection with the aquatic.

I was in Brian David Gilbert’s house with him and his many, many cats (at least 15). He also had seven large fish tanks filled with at least a dozen angry-looking, blue-ringed octopuses. While I was helping him film a video, we noticed a trail of water from one of the tanks leading away into another room. Two of the cats went to investigate it and I expressed my concern but he told me, “Nah, don’t worry about it.”

How many arms does the seven-arm octopus have? Despite it's name, this species (like all octopi) has eight! The eighth 'arm' is actually modified appendage called a hectocotylus that males use to fertilize the eggs of females. The hectocotylus is typically keept coiled in a sac under the males' right eye, making it easy to overlook when counting their arms.
