Some Natsu Headcanons

Been thinking a bit about Natsu, and this I guess also counts as roughly my version of Natsu

still have a drawing of him sitting unfinished on my computer and while I wanted to not post about this until I had a pic to go along with it, if I wait for me to get off my ass and draw we will all be waiting forever rip

BUT ANYWAYS

Younger than Fuyu but older than Haru

hey were all under the curse for 200 years (and I fully believe they stopped aging/growing while under the curse), which means Fuyu was 885, Haru was 259 and Aki was 19--- I think this leaves Natsu somewhere in his 600's-- maybe 669 cause eyyy ;3

also meaning he had 6/7 tails (another headcanon but I believe each 100 years they get a tail unless they somehow earn a tail via growing their powers hence why Fuyu got to have nine)

Natsu extremely bishonen

he's one of those bishis that looks like he's mad gay

except he's not

but he's def not straight either

actually p sexual-- p sensual

just as big of a flirt as Haru

not in the same way, he likes a little more gentler, softer, more teasing

very sly and playful

he was also mad childish

in a more calm and collected way than Aki but def childish all the same

also a bit petty

honestly him and Fuyu were a lot alike that way

that's why they either go on like gang busters or were at each others throats

there was no in between

frankly they liked being hauty and petty together

would have tea and talk so much shit

but Natsu was WAYYYY more laid back

but he was also secretly way more serious and cut throat than his sly little fox persona would lead you to believe

honestly the only one who ever saw that was Fuyu

Fuyu both deeply admired him and was also very afraid of him

Natsu was very childish after all

who knows how far he'd go to get his way

while all the kitsune took part in the clan war and ultimately made it happen

Fuyu has always suspected Natsu may have fanned some flames and pulled some strings to help it along

all the same, everyone's actions were their own decision

Natsu like Fuyu also had a love of poetry

just generally the picture of a beautiful sensual fox boy here to make you swoon and also maybe laugh a little

was really good at charming people

charmed all the other kitsune frankly

even if they didn't always trust him

well-- Aki did, but that's cause Aki didn't know any better

My Natsu 👉👈 he’s dead. I haven’t gotten his lore 100% yet but the kitsune lore is going to be different in regards of the war. The clans were on the brink of a war, and the death of Natsu is what really started it. The war takes place thousands of years before the Kitsune Boys became the leaders (Aki🍁, Fuyu⛄, and Haru🌸).

Natsu was in love with another Kitsune from the Winter clan, sort of a Romeo and Juliet situation. Well, the lover had a brother, (who's also a Kitsune obviously), however, there was a failed assassination, which ended up with the brother being killed when Natsu was the one who was supposed to be killed. Natsu was the one who found the body of the brother and due to being with the body at the time of death, thus leading him to be blamed for the murder. The lover, feeling betrayed, had Natsu executed, and was unable to learn the truth of the situation. Now knowing that a clan leader has been executed, this started a war between the Winter and Summer clans, and the Fall and Spring clans ended up getting involved. With no clan leader to lead them through the war, the Summer clan ended up falling. Natsu is now a lost wandering spirit, looking for his past lover to explain and reconnect with her, but he is unaware that they has already died of age and never learned that Natsu wasn't the culprit, and that thousands of years have passed since his execution. New clan leaders have arisen since then, and the Summer clan has not made a resurgence🍃

So I have this thing

Where I think Natsu was mostly a sweet dude, but like---

With a dark side

Like he's more powerful and dangerous than he seems and the whole reason Fuyu took him out was cause he was the only one that was a creditable threat but also the most dangerous if he didn't do something

It's all of their faults for the petty in-fighting don't get it twisted, I feel like the fact that they all let it get this fair is bad enough no matter who has what blood on their hands

(Also I don't think Haru is as harmless and defenseless as he plays himself out to be-- dude is the only one walking around super cas with a real ass weapon-- WHAT'S THE SWORD FOR HARU???? ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE ONLY A LOVER???)

But yeah idk what I'm getting at here

Hehe I'm always so excited to talk about my special guy! Maxi just really wants to make her feel special (he always does such a great job at that) and spend some quality time with her. After the events leading up to sc5, time is the one thing they haven't really had together.

Maxi would like to get her a good meal, take her out for a nice day out in town, or maybe take her out stargazing at night. After all, their first kiss more than 20 years before sc5 was under the stars. Ash handles most of the cooking for the kids, so I think that Leixia and the gang would try to make her food! Xiba eats like half of it while they're prepping, Natsu is ready to nap, and Leixia is determined! Maxi is very serious about making sure his partner has a good day.

Also, if possible, he'd like to get some time away from the kiddos for a bit too. Just some time to chill with his girlfriend. Ash has changed a lot by SC5 and I think what they both want is just some time to enjoy each other's company.

(Maxi also enjoys the thought of a romantic walk at night because he gets to drape his jacket over her shoulders. One of his favorite sights ever. Ash always playfully scolds him about never wearing a shirt, but he just shrugs.

"I mean, hey, it's not like you don't enjoy the view."

Ash can't deny that she does.)

Overall he just wants her to take a break from the road and the world and just love her for a bit. He also teases a little about how she's getting old. It's funny, since although Maxi is older than she is, guess whose aging slows down by SC5- Ash still very much looks like a woman in her 40s.

It's a fun day and Ash absolutely loves it! She couldn't stand the kids at first, but over time she's really grown to care for them. She's their Cool Aunt figure LMAO. And to be able to spend her birthday with the love of her life? She doesn't have the words to describe how it makes her feel.

One thing to note about SC5 era Ash is just how different she is than her previous appearances. It makes sense since she's nearly 20 years older than she was in SC4, but she's almost more bitter in terms of personality? Her temper is shorter, and she's just... tired. Tired of the cards she's been dealt. She was bleeding out and watching during Maxi's SC4 ending (Maxi touches the scar on her back from Astaroth a lot), her friends are off doing their own thing, and now she's stuck playing auntie to these dumbass teenagers trying to save the world after losing her lover for a decade?! Seriously?!

And so a big part of her character is just her becoming a bit more happy and cheery again, more similar to what we know Ash's character to be. She's quite smiley on her birthday. She just can't help it!

To be able to set down her sword for a while and spend the day with the people that she loves makes her so happy.

(But also, even after all these years, being with Maxi and holding his hand, hearing his laugh, kissing his cheek, kissing his lips... Everything. It all makes her heart flutter so much. They were both so different now, her having gone through everything and Maxi having the whole Soul Edge situation, but their love and understanding for each other hasn't changed.)
