Ancient bricks inscribed with the names of Mesopotamian kings have yielded important insights into a mysterious anomaly in Earth’s magnetic field 3,000 years ago, and also opened up a new approach to dating ancient sites and artifacts.

I remember when one day I saw on Twitter where two people were talking about Gil's eyes and why they look like that and that kind of stuff. And one person said they got really confused about Gil's eyes because when Ishtar and Ereshkigal use their god powers their eyes are glowing gold:
Tumblr media
And since Gil is a demigod and they're from the same mythology we never saw his eyes turning golden and the conclusion of that talk was that it was just an inconsistency in their stories and because Gil was created first and Nasu didn't have plans about Gil when he was making Fate trilogy, because he created Gil just as an antagonist for the series.
But then I remembered about Nebuchadnezzar II (or as he also refers to himself Gilgamesh II). In Fate wiki it's said that Nebuchadnezzar II during his life had the power from the Age of Gods but because he couldn't overcome the limitations of his human body, said power was incomplete. But then using the Bewitching Queen Draco's Holy Grail, Nebuchadnezzar II's soul was sent back in time to after Gilgamesh died, where he possessed a clone of Gilgamesh's body. And after possessing Gil he uses his body and power to succeed in obtaining that god power.
Tumblr media
And as we can see that his eyes are glowing gold and not red as we used to see.
So, I wanna say that we didn't see Gil's eyes become golden because he never used that power in the first place. Because as we all know that Gilgamesh hates gods that much that he lowered his divinity from A+ rank to B rank.
Or maybe he lowered his divinity because this power can be really dangerous especially when he also decides to use EA at its full power.

Nebuchadnezzar
William Blake, ca. 18-19th century
Blake’s print presents the brier with a King facing madness. Crawling like hunted prey, hair tangled and sweeping his surroundings, nails overgrown reminiscent of the talons of vultures, wide eyes filled with terror. The tale of Nebuchadnezzar concerns a Babylonian King drawn to madness and isolation until he surrenders to the power of God. His fate if not to surrender is to be driven away from people, to willfully live as a wild animal,

I already love Nebuchadnezzar, Abel deserves all the good things in the world and someone she can bring home to Cain 😩 (supposedly, although while I may know nothing about her bff yet they give me good vibes)
Heres some tidbits about Nebuchadnezzar!!
Nebuchadnezzar or Nezzar (pronounced Neh-bu-kuh-nez-zar and Nez-zar) uses he/they/she pronouns, he often is found on campus roughhousing like a bull let loose on an unsuspecting town, often blowing off studying to join his fellow jocks in a game of football or soccer. While they are extremely excitable and loud, they often find themselves fascinated by the brainiacs on campus, and found solace joining in on dnd sessions. All went over well, considering he is a dragon type monster. Nebuchadnezzar studies Physical Therapy, and hopes to one day own his own clinic! :) She suffers from schizophrenia and often misses her meds when she's out of sorts or wanting to get high. This is extremely unhelpful to her mental state, and she often goes on long walks at night to try and clear her mind. It's rare that it works, but it's better than being trapped in her room all night. On one of these late night walks, Nezzar bumped into Abel, who was crying rather harshly in the middle of the campus park. She was curled up into herself on the bench, her arms wrapped round her belly, her sockets drooping heavily as if someone had called her ugly for the thousandth time.
He sat with her, his hand in her hand, he promised her she was beautiful, and she believed him almost instantly. He hates seeing pretty girls cry :(
