Okay, I just figured out why the ending of episode 2 bummed me out so much.
Seeing every character get home to bad news felt really demoralizing, in a way that was probably more than it deserved, because it is natural that stuff like high school couples breaking up, or wealth disparities and future questioning, or academic trouble, or parental or sibling absence, happens in adolescence, but I just realized that it felt like a gut punch because we didn't see any of it build up.
We have no idea what happened with Gorgug and Zelda, and since they were golden when we last saw them, it feels so weird for it to be implied that they break up. We've spent very little time at Aguefort, so Fig and Kristen's near expulsion is total news to us. We haven't accompanied Sklonda's career shift or even just that much of the Gukgak's home life, so we weren't expecting it to affect Riz's future like that. We didn't get to really see Aelwyn's life change post SY, so it was jarring to have her be gone already. Even Gilear and Hallariel, we've barely seen them actually be together, so for them to be engaged already felt very out of nowhere to me. I think if we'd gotten to see stuff progress to this point, it'd feel a lot more natural and not upsetting at all.
But then I realized, too, that this is exactly what the Bad Kids are feeling!! They're getting home after being gone all summer and realizing they've missed all this stuff, and it feels out of nowhere to them, too!! They're tired, surprised, and feeling like they're lacking key experiences, and now so are we! They made this in a way that it not only depicts typical high school experiences and opens up story opportunities for the new season, but it also puts the audience, emotionally, in the exact same place as the characters!
Brennan Lee Mulligan, you evil genius. I cannot wait for the rest of the season, I simply need to see how they get through this. My emotional well-being depends on it!!!

Kinda want the new Zelda game because of Ganondorf's giant evil tits but also for $70 dollars USD I could buy the supplies I'll need to assemble the Outrage after it's finished printing. So, $70 for a game I'll get 60 hours out of and never play again or $70 for 300+ hours minimum making a giant sword made of superheated corn spaghetti... 🤔

I am Very annoyed right now. there is water droplets on my phone and I am quite angry at this lady who no longer is relevant to my life anymore. I am steamed in this steamy shower over her negligence and everybody needs to fucking know.

looking at all the mess with mew and some other messy "break-ups" of certain ships, it really makes me wonder how gmmtv managed to keep their ships alive for so long. or maybe they are just better at hiding it. like i know some of them had their ups and downs but none of them ever had such a messy situation as far as i am aware.
well, to be fair gmmtv ships have had their fair share of drama & break ups, but I really think the fact that overall most of gmmtv actors & ships are quite healthy is not a coincidence. I think the sheer size of the company makes it so the actors have better support, even though they're running out of managers & should hire like 10 more, but the rest of the crew I think looks after the actors better than in practically any other thai company. moreover, I think the fact that gmmtv bl shows are rarely ever sexual, and even when they are it's done very tastefully & actually serves the story instead of being fetishizing fanservice, definitely plays a part in ships getting along better. they also do way less crazy fanservice than most other ships, and it's very clear that every ship set their limit for themselves, which is why each gmmtv ship act very different from one another which is nice. so yeah, I think the work ethic & family dynamic between the cast is just so much stronger at gmmtv which limits the drama, even though they have the most actors in the thai entertainment industry.

just another day where i am out here thinking about ghost jane! after closing the gate, and the impact it had on her physically and mentally, she's forever connected to the upside down, even when it's sealed off completely. due to jane's abnormal genetics and weak immune system due to what she was submitted to in the womb, her body begins failing her when she's nineteen years old, [after a specifically harsh winter day where she gets stranded at a bus stop for three hours, and is stuck in the cold, and gets sick with a slight fever. then that sickness turns into pneumonia, which leads to her spending six weeks in the hospital under owens' care]. when she's twenty three, her body begins fully shutting down, and she eventually dies at twenty five. her death is peaceful in a sense because it wasn't violent nor unexpected, but it is tragic. even more so, because she's reincarnated into a ghost, who can never move on because of the upside down imbedding itself into her skin, into her body when she was a child. she can venture outside hawkins, and isn't specifically tied to a place because the upside down is ancient, it spread amongst the whole world, and even though it's sealed off, still exists below. wherever the upside down is, active or not, jane can tread, but she was never given the real chance to ever leave hawkins, and knows very little of the world outside the small town. even in death, it frightens her to venture beyond. she's stuck in the town that she loves as much as she hates, wandering around as a mere echo of herself, reclaiming that lost black cat status who doesn't really belong to anyone or anything. there are people over the years who can slightly sense her, or see her completely so she isn't alone forever, but those people eventually move on after their death, where she never can.
