Randomly (and I seriously mean randomly) thought of an AU idea while I was at the store

Ninjago Café AU? I know it's been done before but, like, I'm thinking of including all the elemental masters (not sure about Krux and Acronix? But I'm hoping future me will have an answer)

I'm pretty sure I just thought it would be fun to imagine how they'd deal with Karens 'n' stuff (Maybe I should've made a funky McDonalds AU instead... oR I CAN COMBINE THEM! Yehhhh... yeh that's a good idea)

It'll be, like, another store owned by Skylor! Since she already owns the noodle house. It'd be like her business... expanded? And she (for some reason) accepted to the elemental masters helping her out

OOH! So the bit where I'm talking about the McDonalds AU :)

Yehs, so, eheheh... they work in groups (groups change each week). Groups as in, like, who works at the Café and who works at the McDonalds. Every day the groups switch over to keep it (mostly) even, let's call them Group A and Group B.

The groups shuffle every week to form new groups

Intro Poooosssssttttt

Uhh hi? So this is like my first time using Tumblr so I have no idea what I'm doing right now but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually lol. Anyways, I just thought that it would be a good idea to kinda introduce myself for my first post/pinned post here cuz why not, y'know? So let's get this shiz started already!

I go by both China and Zana (but pronounced like Zay-nuh) so use whichever one you please! I'm in a variety of fandoms and I switch between which ones I'm into a bit frequently but methinks that's because I have a short attention span lmao. But some of the main fandoms I really stick to are Hetalia, TBHK, Ninjago, Mandela Catalogue, MCD/Mystreet (I don't support Jess tho and I have many opinions about her writing oof) and lately I've been getting back into Danganronpa cuz I finally stopped being lazy started playing the games I got for my Switch lol. I'll probably talk about other fandoms I'm into here and there too tho!

I like ranting all about my favorite series and I have tons of fanfic/AU ideas I'll definitely post about because writing is something I really love to do. And uhhh I guess that's all I have to really say so yeah lmao.

top 10 AUs you like the most (any fandom)

Oh boy, this is a toughie, not least because the AUs I like changes based on where the brain is rotting. Uhm, have a few?

Living Nightmare and MCD Upside Down are pretty much the only Mystreet/MCD AUs I come back to and think about. Sometimes I think about that one cowboy AU but otherwise it's just those two.

For Ninjago, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I have so many AUs, but if I had to pick a favorite? @ninja-go-to-therapy's Damage series is looking very lovely. And @blursed-ninjago-ideas' Viscacha Wu and Eldritch Lou will take me by the throat.

But for my own AUs? Um. To Breathe Life into the World, Merjago & Naga (and occasionally Pampered Pet), That Other Cult Thing, Skull Sorceress, Raised by Serpentine, Coleverlord, and Adopted are all pretty fun.

And then for WK AUs? Well. All in One is fun, and Birdbrain is fun as well. Sirens is very fun, Ficus Green is both angsty and has comedy potential (the amount of stupid decisions made by every party), and Martin's lil arc in the Psychic AU is sometimes pretty fun to play with. And sometimes I get some really strong brainrot thinking about the Wildlings even if I never talk about it.

I really love @krazykratts' Acid Green and Chimera Chris AUs, though Baby Blue is an old favorite and Heartless Chris is fun to play with. And then Navy Blue and Bone Croncher and Spruce Blue and Untitled Goose and Laughing Mad and if we really wanna talk old AUs, I miss Rover from Forest Green. Bring him back. He's a good boy.

H: How would you describe your style?

This is kind of funny to say, but I can’t think of a better word than textured?  I enjoy playing around with different things, but especially sentence length, to try to give the fic an inherent feeling or vibe that expands beyond just the emotional words used if that makes any sense XD  The second chapter of fast and slow is kind of what I’m talking about for ref :D

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

I think it kinda depends on how you define angst?  I’ve got a couple MCD fic ideas, but ninjago also canonically has ghosts so ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ I also think it would be fun to do a TPN or Ender’s Game au, but during the happy “ignorant” parts of those stories! 

U: A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.

I’d really love to write a mystery/adventure fic centered around Kai and Zane!  They would balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses within the genre really well :D

V: A secondary (or underrated) character you want to see more of in fic?

There can never be enough Vania fic!!  I really enjoy yours and Rose Gold’s on ao3!

X: A character you enjoy making suffer.

Unfortunately Lloyd XD

Y: A character you want to protect.

Probably Kai :D  Fandom opinion of him has shifted in the last handful of years, but old habits die hard!

Oh I just saw your last MCD tagged post is over a year old so if you’re not in the fandom anymore sorry-

Yeah, I sort of moved on from the sad Minecraft characters to the sad gay legos. But even in the throes of my Ninjago hyperfixation I still occasionally think about the old AUs. In fact, I did some sketches of Zane’s nightmare form in the Living Nightmare AU just the other week! And I often give plenty of thought to MCDUD & the Wild West AUs, alongside some of my other old favorites. But yeah I haven’t really made content in a long time, even if I do sometimes return to the docs.

But maybe I’ll go back to it someday. Who knows? I don’t :D
