Subz Burj’s green, yellow and blue tiles are now back to complement the bluish green dome . The “green tower”is being restored by the Aga Khan Trust. In a newspaper article , they say that they have got the right coloured tiles for the neck of the tower - blue tiles were wrongly installed in 2010 by the Govt. The Subz Burj remains covered while the restorers are at work but the blue , green and yellow tiles aren’t. On the last Friday of Ramzan , we visited the Nizamuddin Dargah and the Subz Burj was a wonderful surprise for me. I can’t go into crowded areas , so while my mum and son went inside the dargah , I waited at the car park opposite the Subz Burj . I just couldn’t resist the pencil sketch while I waited. Inked it on Saturday evening. I have started to photograph my drawings at various steps of completion - to know when I should have stopped and put my pen down. In this one , I think I was okay !!
