#the idea that hiruzen kept naruto and presumably most of the village in the dark about his parentage because he thought it would #keep him safe from minato's enemies #but still let everyone be aware that he had the kyubi sealed inside him and thus shunned him #and ofc made no apparent effort to care for or make him *feel* cared for #even though he must have been well aware of the whole 'fill the vessel with love' since he would have been very familliar #with Mito as he was hashirama's student as well as became hokage when Mito was very much still alive as well as kushina #this absolute *EXCESSIVE CURSING*#it is so fucking infuriating #like his own kids and grandchild sure gets to be known to and respected by the public as his progeny #hell people even know one of his kids is in the friggin' anbu #no need to keep *his* family secretly tucked away alone to keep them safe from his enemies as 'the god of shinobi 2.0'#the fucking hypocrisy #but what else is new with this guy #;;Rant #;;ooc #w

Unlike Shikamaru, even on days off, Ino was an early riser. She liked to wake up to the sun, and get her day underway. She was never one to laze around, but her husband was at times. It was too bad that she rarely allowed him a moment to do just that if she was around. As such was this morning. "Time to get up now, Shikamaru~" She whispered in his ear, hoping that'd coax him up. When it was clear that it wasn't going to do anything, she resorted to another tactic. Relentlessly covering his whole face in kisses until she finally got the desired reaction. That, and she knew he wouldn't exactly complain about such a wake-up call. At least not much.

anyways kakashi has a bad track record when it comes to how he treats his friends in this essay, i will ---

#ooc.#no but for real i am going to pick this apart but i think it very largely comes from him getting so wrapped up in his own feelings #tht he does not consider where others are at #(often)#i ALSO don't think he had the emotional capacity to care for team 7 in the beginning of naruto & tho they inspire him to be better #he should not have been entrusted with kids #he can barely brush his teeth in the morning how is he going to teach others how to thrive #like yes he is endlessly loyal ( sometimes to a fault ) but that doesn't mean that he always knows how to treat others or consider #what they need #i feel like a lot of people dismiss his general closed off-ness as ' that's just how kakashi is ' knowing that it's taking baby steps #a little bit at a time for him to heal #and yes the hiruzen was right team 7 gave him something to focus on that wasn't just him wallowing in his own feels #but he was still in a place where he thought ' u will grow up or you are die its what shinobi do ' & ' trauma=growth '#like he would do anything to ensure their survival that was in his capacity to but he was very much a trial by fire kind of teacher #OK OK OK ill stop in the tags i have to make an actual post abt this there are a lot of thoughts #like he tries his best but his best is not always healthy which is important to acknowledge

anyways one of the main themes of this blog is that rin's kindness is like a double-edged sword. her desire to protect drives her to become like the shinobi she hunts, despite any way she may try to rationalize it away.

thinking about my hatake lore. the thought that they come from samurai descendants & have a penchant for making weapons. trying to adhere to shinobi tradition was ultimately their downfall bcs they were never built to fight shinobi wars ❤❤❤

thinking about how instead of fighting the fact that shinobi tend to die young deidara decided to own it and both live and die on his own terms, making the shortness of his life / the abruptness of his death itself meaningful. he really said "when i go it's because i say so and it's gonna be LOUD and BIG and i will call it ART and no one can take that from me. if my life is going to be a tragedy either way i'm making it one that's worth it. fuck you."
