can’t talk about it
[ID: Black and white comic of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. The comic starts with the sounds "thud, thud, click". Vash, mid-action of peeling an apple, turns to the sound, noticing who it was that entered, and says, "Oh, Wolfwood, you're back." He resumes back to his apple in the next panel as he speaks, "Where'd you go? You snuck out of bed quickly this morning..." Wolfwood's hand then enters the panel, hovering over Vash's cheek and Vash looks up as Wolfwood asks, "Can I?" Vash responds, "Not going to talk about it?" while using a hand to gently hold Wolfwood's hovering hand and presses a kiss to his inner palm.
Vash then gets up fully, setting down the knife down on the table and the apple onto a plate, He leans into Wolfwood as Wolfwood explains, "Had to meet someone. Nothing interesting to talk about." Vash kisses Wolfwood's left cheek and a hand moves to cup his other cheek while muttering, "You're being vague." Wolfwood says neutrally, "If yer really that curious, keep askin'. We can talk about that instead of doing this." Vash leans back and responds, "Let's talk after, since... You look so tired."
The panel pans to a close up of Wolfwood's downcast eyes, bags heavy underneath his eyes. He doesn't allow Vash to sit in that moment for long though, then saying, "Yer not helping, Spikey. Being all slow with it... I could fall asleep right now." He moves his hand to start unclasping Vash's coat, starting from his collar. Vash with red cheeks, responds briskly, "Oh, shut up. I'm worried about you. I can't be worried?"
The final shot shows Wolfwood's back to the viewer while Vash's softened expression can be seen as he holds gently onto the side of Wolfwood's face and a hand firm on his waist. Wolfwood responds, "I'm fine, seriously," pausing for a moment before continuing, "Is it okay to still..?" Vash responds, "Yeah, it's okay."
The next image is a shot from later that night after the previous comic. Vash and Wolfwood are now in bed, half naked. Wolfwood's buries his face into Vash's chest, his arms wrapped around him, while Vash is petting at his hair. Vash reminds him, "Hey. You said we'd talk about it." Wolfwood pauses for a moment before piping up, "In the morning? I'm sleepy." Vash says, "Okay..."
The next two pages start from the morning after. Wolfwood is already fully awake, pulling on his outer jacket as he says to Vash, whos' still bundled in his blankets, "Breakfast is on the table. Make sure to eat it. I'm going to grab some things in town and then we're leavin'. Got it?" Vash says, "Mh." Wolfwood responds, "Good. See ya in a bit." The dialogue starts to shift into Vash's inner thoughts now, as he gets up and eats toast, thinking, "Wait. Weren't we supposed to... talk about it?" The next shot then shows him fully up, meeting Wolfwood in town. He carries a half worried expression with him while Wolfwood slides on his glasses for him. A quick panel shows Wolfwood's tired expression from the night before and quickly juxtaposes with Wolfwood in front of him who's smiling gently, the shades covering his eye bags. Wolfwood asks him, "Still not awake yet?" Vash pauses, his thoughts stirring, thinking, "Oh. I guess I was getting ahead of myself... thinking you owe me that kind of honesty." He smiles at Wolfwood and responds, "I'm awake!" His thoughts continue, "Maybe one day, you'd trust me enough to share your burdens."
The final image shows Wolfwood pulling at Vash's cheek and Vash complains, "Owwwww why..." Wolfwood quickly says, "You were thinking something stupid, right? It's all over yer face." Vash mutters, "Nooo, I wasn't..." END ID]

just everything about the love stories of maggie and nina and crowley and aziraphale being different but the same, crowley being in love for forever and wanting to be with aziraphale more than anything bc his heaven related cynicism lets him want things for himself but aziraphale still believing heaven can change things and feeling like he needs to have a purpose (he never stopped being an angel he still needs that purpose!) and believing heaven is the way... im just biting the walls i cant stop thinking about the kiss and aziraphale touching his lips after, like crowley introduced him to the delights of food and liquor and crowley introduced him to this too and it felt awful and it felt amazing and he liked it and he wanted to like it but he just wants crowley to want what he wants and try and work with heaven and without that he cant indulge, he cant want crowley back, its just the wrong time and the right being, like we're meant to expect that crowley will still be there waiting for him ("i hope she'll be there when im ready but there isnt any guarantee" "there is") but crowley spent all his time following aziraphale around, crowley is living like all he wants is aziraphale, and aziraphale isnt on the same page, and aziraphale is going to get whisked away and distracted and the crowley he finds again when he comes back wont be the crowley that he left

I’ve always assumed that gaster and the dreamers had a parental relationship, considering that he seemed pretty young (teenager) when they took him in, plus it’s kinda implied that gaster had a abusive or at least neglectful childhood so it makes sense that he would want to view asgore and torial as parental figures. What do you think?
Also sorry about pestering you about fell!Handplates but it’s such a fun au. But how do you think gaster first reacted when the dreamers started becoming cruel?
Yup! Generally speaking I view Gaster as having a mostly parental/filial relationship with the Dreemurrs, and that evolving into a (mostly) platonic family dynamic, though it is kind of complicated with Asgore being his King and boss and Toriel disappearing and them grieving her together - I think it brought them closer, and not necessarily in only healthy ways ♪
Haha, I don't really mind, but I can only give my own thoughts and opinions on it! Some of it is stuff I'd also like to know haha ♫
I kind of assumed they were Fell from the beginning, that the argument is that Monsters are just Like That, it's in their Nature, and Fellplates!Gaster is trying to find proof that Monsters are capable of change, that with the "correct" kind of Nurture, they don't have to act on their Fell impulses. As for when he was inspired to start looking for that, hmmm ♪

Thinking about Ivy to realize I haven't posted about her at all so have a short infodump (when I get the chance to finish rewatching S5 I'm also gonna be insufferable about her)
-daughter of Morro and wind elemental and orphan with a lot of resentment
-taken in by Ronin, no one is sure if this was the better or worse option than living on the streets
-expert forger and a sneaky little thief
-her wind element is suppressed since Morro's held onto it. It's like it's been split in half between the two of them and after he's released from the cursed realm he hogs it like a blanket
-had a mom, once.
-since i recently rewatched skybound: she definitely believed the ninja could be innocent during the bounty hunt, but probably still helped bc a payday is important
-she would be part of the ninja replacement team
-gets along shockingly well with lloyd (bonded over morro giving them irreversible trauma)
-would also get along with jay and nya and would try to learn mechanics from them (ronin tried to teach her but it failed)
-her and luna are <3 they met when Ivy tried to rob doomsday comix and luna instead infodumped on her about a magical girl series. neither knows how to address their feelings despite each being almost a year older than the ninja
-ivy loves the sea and the water, always has. the docks of Stiix are one of her favorite places to hang out
-she inherited her dad's little hair streak and she dyes it black for a long time
-i do want her relationship with morro to slightly heal and have a fic planned for how it starts, but it takes a lot of introspection and she never fully does forgive him for leaving her

Gon is burning toast when he comes down and flings himself into Gon’s chest.
Gon catches him, his arm around his waist and his eyebrows furrowed as his toast pops out, and he can smell the smoke.
“Hey, princess, what’s wrong?”
He can’t help but coo.
Killua is so precious and cute.
Killua’s tail swooshes back and forth, a cute pink bow near the bottom, matching the pink bows pinned in his hair near his ears.

Honestly kinda bizarre that the Renfield movie claimed to be a direct sequel to the 1931 movies but had basically nothing to do with them. Nothing that happened in the 1931 movies was addressed or mentioned outside of the beginning segment, Renfields backstory and personality are completely different, it's never explained how they dealt with Van Helsing and the Harkers. It's not coherent as a sequel really, it's more of a completely disconnected story and I think that's kinda a detriment to the movie as a whole because all the stuff they changed is pretty vague and undercooked.

Fandom pet peeve: when people pick a character and say, "oh, they did some bad things, they must be morally grey!" With no regard for their actual attitude towards morality, or their mindset during that time and whether it was any different from how they are normally, or the fact that those actions may have been taken a long while ago.
Please, say it with me: moral greyness is not about what things people have done in the past! It's about their relationship with morality, in the present.
...But the attitude people have towards that is scary, and not just for fandom-related reasons. That way of thinking seems to hint that you think that once somebody does something wrong, they can never really be a good person, and it’s all too easy to apply that to real life, too. And that is often the case, if cancel culture is anything to go by.
Accept that people change, that characters change. They’re not irreversibly corrupted if you make the slightest misstep, or even one that’s not so small. Someone can do bad things, grow, reflect, and change as a person, into someone who would not do that. And afterwards, they are not morally grey! They’re someone who did bad things and then learned from them!
(And just for the record – if the character, in the actual events of the story, is a person who acts on their morals and in the best interests of others, and had one period in their backstory when that wasn’t necessarily the case? Or if they were evil and were reformed prior to the events of the story? Yeah, there’s no excuse. If you want to talk about their more dubious actions and say they were morally grey, specify the time period, because that is not who they are in the story itself.)

Hot take: TFA!Waspinator and Classic!Kevin Levin are not only the exact same character, they have the exact same arc and the exact same role in their respective shows’ stories.
I mean, think about it: an asshole tween/teen who’s slightly older than the main kid character (whose name just so happens to start with B) and serves as his rival/narrative foil experiences severe trauma over the course of the story, gets horrifically mutated into a monster, teams up with a villainous adult to get revenge on his rival that he blames for the trauma he experienced, gets told that he’s beyond help by said rival, and by the end of the series gets stranded with the adult he teamed up with who’s confirmed to have later escaped and left him for dead. It helps that Derrick J. Wyatt worked on both TFA and Omniverse.
Though considering how badly UAF fumbled Kevin’s writing and how the planned episode summaries for Season 4 of TFA make it seem like it would’ve been a mixed bag at best, part of me dreads how the show would’ve handled the rest of Wasp’s arc had it not been canceled.
Oh my god oh my god that’s like really playing the same story beats, and also also, Kevin gets sent to the ‘jail dimension’ Null Void while Wasp gets imprisoned IMMEDIATELY upon being ‘proven’ guilty and neither of the boys get any like… actual trial? Just dropping this here;
But yeah no, Wasp is like an even more socially isolated Kevin (which is a goddamn achievement) who kinda went to prison before getting REALLY fucked up emotionally and physically. As much fun as it was to have Kevin be part of the crew in UAF, most of the shit he went through with Ben when they were 10/11 goes really unacknowledged especially with the hand-wavy ‘they’re working together now’ explanation being dependent mostly on his and Gwen’s relationship primarily.
