Diego can be found furiously attempting to scrub the sharpie off his forehead in the bathroom sink. The colors have started to bleed together, making a giant grey smear, but a good portion of the dick is still visible. If he had to spend any more time in the bathroom, they’d be late to the event and parking would be an even worse hell than imagined.

Rachel Roth (Raven)

Sometimes, Dick annoys Rachel on purpose. He knows she’s basically terrified of letting herself feel, so he wants her to come to terms with the fact that it won’t–literally–be the end of the world if she loses her temper. While the results are mixed, no one’s died, and her tolerance for shenanigans in general has slowly been building up.

It took a long time of trust-building, but Rachel isn’t afraid of sharing her nightmares with him, occasionally in the dreamwalk variety. He wants her to know he’s not going anywhere, even when things are rough.

Of the two of them, Dick usually does the cooking. Rachel neither knows how nor has expressed much interest in learning. This surprised him, at first, but you can go a long time on microwave meals and sandwiches.

Whenever he gets the chance, Dick tries to get Rachel to come to social events, whether it be a party or a quieter gettogether. While she usually declines, he knows the invitation itself is just as important, if not more, than the activity itself.

Damian Wayne (Robin)

Dick has no illusions about how paranoid Damian is, and makes zero effort to keep things from him. In fact, he teases him about being nosy. It includes not only important or ‘professional’ things, but also his private life. He also goes out of his way to drag him along to things. Despite the inevitable grumbling, he knows it helps him feel included, not just tolerated. This has gone a long way to keep his trust when he can’t tell him things right away, because Damian knows he’s going to as soon as he can.

While Damian is no more or less emotional than any other child his age, he also hasn’t had much chance or healthy ways to express it in the past. Dick doesn’t make a big deal out of it when he loses his composure, and tries to coax him to explore the feeling in question when he does. Not always successful, but at least it gets him to think about it himself. Baby steps.

Dick encourages Damian to be a child. He wasn’t exactly receptive, at first, but both socialization with his peer group and outright bribery broke the ice. 

Dick makes sure Damian feels free to explore his own moral code (within reason; killing is off the table for anyone) without fear of censorship, at least not from him. While he’s never felt as strongly about eating meat as Damian does, he made sure he never had it in the apartment while he was with him.

    It seemed that the sorceress didn’t perceive in which precarious situation she had put herself in. The Teen Titans have had traitors before, memory of Terra still lingering in the back of her head. She hadn’t intended to, but being unable to sleep, a cup of tea had been what she had needed. That was, until she spotted the pink-haired girl attempting to sneak out of their tower, having exploited all information to her.  ❝ If you truly did not care, you would not have kept it SECRET, ❞ she countered, an arched eyebrow offered to her.  ❝ You’re on the opposite team now. The rest of the team is going to perceive you as a traitor if you keep doing this. ❞ Which she technically also was for the HIVE 5.

Her question is promptly answered by the gaping, flummoxed silence that falls abruptly between the two. 

Tragic that it only lasts a few seconds. Tavis takes an indignant step backwards, eyes widening as his lungs draw in a startled, infuriated breath, before his ire melts away into a malignant grin. Well, if this vile woman is so curious, then who is he to hold back?

“Oh, a fine question indeed from the heinous, pink one!! How shall I put this to the likes of you? Let’s see…” 

He steps forward, takes in a deep breath, and conjures the most resonant, ear-piercing, glass-shattering shriek within his abilities.

“Alright, tell him that he was hurt, I thought he might die.”

He's still not really got his heart in it for this Bully Diego Day, so he's just going to replace Diego's phone case with a pink one that's been heavily Bedazzled and has unicorn stickers on it. And change all the contacts so they're reprogrammed under different names (not each other, he's not a COMPLETE asshole, he just gave them... interesting new nicknames).

When Diego wakes up, he reaches over to grab his phone from his night stand. He always makes a habit of checking for emergencies or need to know messages. He does a double take at the color of his case and all the bright stickers pasted all over it. This couldn’t be his, could it? But there’s nothing else on the night stand and Diego is positive he let his device charge overnight. The change couldn’t have been further from his style. Even if Klaus had put cartoon skulls over it, the Kraken wouldn’t have minded. He scrolls through his contacts, trying to decipher who’s listed as who.
