Tsu'tey: I can't believe they're teaching children the ways of the skydemons...
Y/N: This here is a velociraptor. They had giant claws to hold down whatever they hunted
Child: Those live on earth??
Y/N: Oh, no, they used to, but not anymore. A meteor wiped them out. Most of the planets life was wiped out but those who survived slowly evolved into people, and other animals of course
Forget anything about culture the kids are getting a lesson in zoology lmao 😭
Also like what if Terra Nova and Avatar existed in the same universe-
hahahahaha i loveeeee !!
tsu'tey is like 😡 but you can almost always catch him lingering nearby when you're teaching the children
he says it's because he's watching out for the kids, of course, because he doesn't trust you, but anyone with eyes can see that he watches and listens to your lessons with interest

Ok, time for another ramble on what I think ES’ toyline needed to be, and how that extends to the show.
Both need to embrace having four distinct factions: Autobots, Decepticons, Terrans, & Arachnimechs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As well as having distinct themes.
The Autobots are mostly public service vehicles in relation to their partnership with GHOST. As mentioned prior, the GHOST centric toys here would be Optimus, Bumblebee, Elita, Wheeljack, Inferno, Red Alert, Smokescreen, Quickshadow, Grapple, Strongarm, Tow-Line, Bulkhead, Quickmix, Fanbelt, Seaspray, Tracks, Longarm (double spy mode of Laserwave), Sky-Lynx & the Dinobots.
The Decepticons are mostly militarized vehicles and savage animals: Megatron, Bludgeon, Slipstream, Knock Out, Drift/Deadlock, Clobber, Sky-Byte, Lugnut, Blitzwing, Thundercracker, BlackArachnia, Shadow Striker, Swindle, Hardtop, Needlenose, Laserwave (double spy mode of Longarm), Turmoil, Quake, Dropkick, Shatter, Weirdwolf, Frenzy, Dead End, Wildbreak, Heatseeker, Slashmark, Krok, Laserbeak, Ratbat, Octane & the Commandos (Ruination Awakens, baby.)
The Terrans are pretty much as they are, a bit of a non conformist vibe by being any old vehicle or animal without a cohesive theme. Twitch (drone), Thrash (bike), Hashtag (van), Jawbreaker (dinosaur), & Nightshade (gargoyle-owl) like before, but with the addition of Rubble (Mini-Spy vehicle homage), Sideswipe (G2 themed but inspired by the IDW Protoform version), Slash (the Velociraptor that’s included as part of the Dinobots off and on), Quintus Prime (mostly because it’s weird to me he DOESN’T have a toy) and Gauge (construction vehicle).
The Arachnimech faction is where things get interesting. The main gimmick are the little buggers themselves.
Tumblr media
But the primary difference is they can Transform, and make up the “Tacticon” assortment, being analogous to Mini-Cons, Battle Masters, and RotB’s Beast Alliance weapons and combiners.
One variant has a Robot Mode akin to a Headmaster Unit.
Tumblr media
The rest are accessories that Transform into weaponry and “control masks”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like Mini-Cons, the idea is the Tacticon Arachnimechs are cross compatible with all the Autobot/Decepticon figures. You want a bug headed Optimus, go for it.
As for larger figures, the Arachnamech faction, like the Terrans, are a bit of a grab bag of both Autobots and Decepticons that Mandroid enslaved. Notable toys include Skullcruncher, the Insecticons, Gears, Blaster (with a special Arachnamech cassette based on the scrapped Stinger cassette he was meant to have in G1), Starscream, Skywarp, Nova Storm, Airachnid, Cliffjumper, Mirage, Buzzsaw (who I saw as Mandroid’s Cluck to his Robotnik), Rumble (who, along with Buzzsaw, is compatible with Soundwave and Blaster), Bluestreak, Ironhide, Brawn, Cliffjumper, Tailgate, Diabla, Iguanus & The Constructicons who form Devastator (with Scorpulator being his pack in accessory). The crown jewel of the Arachnamech line would be an Arachnamech version of Scorponok patterned a bit more after Zaozorigun from Goldran.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mandroid would ideally be a Headmaster who transforms into an Arachnimech like head akin to the Megahead Megatron toy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From there the second phase of the line would pivot away from the Arachnamechs, and replace them with the Quintessons (intermingled with Mercenaries, as show wise, the Quintessons would hire bounty hunter Transformers to do their dirty work initially.) Similarly the line would become Heroic Terrans vs Evil Quintessons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The new toys would include
Sharkticons: Gnaw, (Tacticon), Blitzwave, Razorfin, Cybershark (Tacticon)
Allicons: Gatoraider (Tacticon, compatible with Krok and Iguanus), Razorgrill (Tacticon), Leatherhide (based more on the scrapped Duocon made of a gator and car rather than the BW Mutant), Alligatimus (based on Gator Optimus from G1. Retooled from Skullcruncher with Optimus Prime features).
Mercenaries: WildWheel, RoughEdge, Devcon, Slizardo (retool of Iguanus), Nightra (retool of Strongarm), Fracture (retool of Thrash), Oil Slick (retool of Dead End), Nightbird, and Skuxxoid.
Terrans:
Cathy, the nickname of a Catharsian that’s an online friend of Hashtag’s that hails from an alien station. While not a Terran biologically (cyberlogically?) she became part of the group after helping with a Vilgrox problem she accidentally caused. She Transforms into a space car, and comes with a Lightpole Tacticon that becomes a gun.
Lightbright: A Nightshade retool. An androgynous boy in this universe. A running gag is he always has a crush on other female Transformers of the day like Quickshadow and Airachnid. Talented in the arts and is a whizz at other languages. He always opens up a conversation with the Universal Greeting. Transforms into an Angry Bird like creature. He and Hashtag are particularly close friends, maybe more? (It goes without saying these other Terrans AREN’T Maltos, but do become friends with them.)
Lickity-Split: A hyperactive scooter girl. Becomes acquainted with humans by being a courier. She does a lot of Energon deliveries, which gets out of hand when her customers are revealed to be Decepticons and Quintessons that are up to no good.
Horri-Bull: A moody bull in a China Shop sort. Deep down there’s a good Spark, but he doesn’t have the best influence being found and mentored by Tracks’ flighty kid brother Needlenose.
Skar: A new Dinobot ankylosaur. Jawbreaker and Slash take him under their wing. The diminutive Slash revels in being the “big” sister for a change. Brilliant but a clumsy goober that doesn’t know his own strength, similar to IDW Skar, TFV Kakuryu, and RiD15 Scowl. Chose the name “Skar” because he thought it sounded cool. Grimlock approves.
Swift: A military drone girl who sympathizes more with the Decepticons and has mixed views on Megatron’s current situation. She and Horri-Bull tend to find themselves on the opposing side of the Maltobots.
Hi Score: A video game geek that has a thing for retro games in particular and is fascinated by the human culture surrounding it. Sounds like Milhouse, Transforms into a Brickbear that can be a stand in for any video game mascot like Mario, Freddy Fazbear or Pikachu. Mystery of Convoy and Afterdeath are among the games he’s currently playing, but are also games exploited by the Quintessons, Kremzeek and TORQ.
Geomotus: A bit of a space case, who tends to get wrapped up in his own interests and rambles on about them. Gets overwhelmed easily and finds solice in fidget toys and Kre-O blocks. Often plays with Mo and builds elaborate Kre-O projects like a replica of the Ark.
The usual Quintesson judge is included, albeit with a gimmick that allows it to Transform into a robot mode similar to early concept art.
Tumblr media
Scientist, Prosecutor, Bailiffs and others in the usual Quintesson kangaroo court are available, each having a vehicle mode that corresponds somewhat to their job.

It's been days, why haven’t I seen any geeking over the dinosaur talk at the DC panel? I loved that bit!
Christina saying Diplodocus 🦕 over and over again in her accent!
Celia chosing Velociraptor as her favorite! (*making Raptor noises*)
Ethan: THE MEG!!! 🦈 (I love him, but no, Ethan, a Megalodon is not really a dinosaur.)
And Anson having wanted to become a paleontologist as a kid! [Jurassic Park 🦖 feels intensified!] And then he gushed over Ankylosaurus!!! He would have a field day with my SNW x Terra Nova Crossover AU!

Note
Nova moves around the Raptor. He neighs! What is this? He introduces himself as Nova, who are you?
The raptor trills and lowers itself to the ground, before rising up and showing off his colourful chest plumage.
He is a raptor, a Velociraptor!

Some 'Dinosaur Sue' for WIP Wednesday? Seems interesting!
have your very own words!
Drakon turned to one of the soldiers. “Got an ordnance map?”
“Sure, Sarge.” She pulled out a big map. Flying mages with good memories could map better than any engineer.
Drakon dropped the transport’s back gate down and spread it out. “Can you show us?”
“If you show me where we are.” Alexos hopped down next to him. “Hi humans.” He said to the priests still inside the transport.
“Show some respect, featherbrain!” Drakon chided him.
“Hi holy important mage priest people?” Alexos tried again.
Velociraptors. Even when they learned Nova Atlantean, they didn’t learn politeness.
“Hello small feathered brat.” Tabiti grinned at both of them.
            “Outlaw.” Iokathes nodded to Alexos.”
            “Alexos.” Alexos nodded back.
“Here we are.” Drakon stabbed at the map.

Your OCs are in an unfamiliar place. It's the cafe at a museum they've never been to before, and it's on the ground floor with a tall surrounding atrium made mostly of glass. Museum-goers on the upper floor can look down into the cafe, and there are plants and a fountain in the cafe area. They've been there for so long (waiting for something) that they start to get bored. There's no cell service. Which one of them:
-Browses the museum brochure and marks which exhibits they don't want to miss
-Plans their velociraptor-attack escape route
-Daydreams about their crush
-Plans their fictional heist which involves coming through the ceiling in this area
-Mentally critiques the design choices in the cafe
-Other
Nova is the forward planner. They have every exhibit planned out in the perfect route.
Jake plans the velociraptor attack route, and he drags everyone else into it too.
Jake also daydreams about Chris. He wants to go to the planetarium and look at the stars with him.
Anomaly plans a heist. He can't help himself, he has to be a problem on purpose.
Loudmouth is the one critiquing the design choices. Modern AU Loudmouth went to art school and makes that everyone's problem.

What can i say, really? It's another one of those "this is a level that exists, and it's not that bad, but it's also not that good" kind of levels. The enviro is nice enough, not overly crufted, gives a sense of place, maybe could have stood having just a touch more in it, but serviceable none-the-less. The gameplay is... fine. Pretty standard fare, a bit more sluggish when it ought to be zippy, but fine. And, there's not that much else going on, really. As far as these levels go, it's a better example than a lot i've run into. It feels like Redbar20 wanted to do a cave level, and didn't really have more ideas beyond that, but at the very lease they put together a cave level. Like, it's not slapdash; you can see that thought and effort went into it. It's just that there's not much "it" at the end of the day.
i had my quibbles; one thing these levels fight an uphill battle against is masking their faults; but the only really big one was how things got wrapped up. You just hit that Velociraptor, and boom, you're at the scoreboard. No come down, no denouement, just, *bam* over mid-action. i say this is a big one, because i feel it's something that can apply to level design in general, most everything else here is fairly cosmetic. i figure letting your players have a bit of struggle (maybe a boss fight if you've got it in you. And if you don't, that's cool; putting together a good boss fight is it's own kind of pain in the butt), and then give them a bit of space to internalize what they've accomplished. It could be a low-threat walk to the end, it could be a wrap-up cutscene, just a short bit to let the players think "wow, i did something cool." That's just my two cents, tho', and who am i, ultimately? i'm just some weird girl on the internet. ----------------------------- It's Friday and that means rushing around to get a shower in and the curry converted before the stream, so i should start rushing around now. Things are well over here. Got my second appointment up on Monday, and that's still exciting. i know there'll be a point where this is all folded into my everyday life, but it's still neat now, and i'm going to try to appreciate that as long as it lasts.
Work is... holy cats, we have been so busy, and i am just always exhausted. Not, thankfully, to the point where my exhaustion has an actual physical/sensory component (i don't know how to describe it, it feels like there's a handball-sized lump in my brains behind my right eye, and i can touch it wiv my thoughts and the resonance is pure distilled exhaustion), but i am just beat to almost not thinking straight. My coworker has been, like, "no, seriously, you need to take a week off," and she's not wrong, but from 2008ish maybe 09 to 2018, my "paid" holidays cost me significantly more than they brought in ('cause of how NOVA had changed their paycheck structuring), and then all the unemployment from 2019 on, and, like, time off still feels like anathema unless i'm seriously fixing to die, or it absolutely can't be avoided. Gonna have to do something about that. That's not healthy thinking.

Tex @tex-treasures
I CANT BELIVE YOU READ IT. I THOUGHT NOBODY WOULD CAUSE ITS SO DAMN LONG! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ IT.
1) thank you for all the compliments, they are all very appreciated.
2)i was writing that velociraptor thing with a smirk, low key giggling it was so stupid and I loved every Word of it.
3) as for the tea I see him as like an enthusiast, a sucker for all kinds of teas, probably preffers the ones with calming effects at night bcs he has trouble sleeping/falling asleep.
4)im glad you liked the house design!!! Its sort of the kinda house I wanna get when I get the chance.
Im very proud of this, and im hoping to make ome with Chuck since both his and raleighs are low key character studies! I had a lotta fun writing it. And the same with the art and moodboard.
Again, thank you so much tex for taking the time to read the AU. It means a lot/gen.
Have a wonderfull day!!!
Edit: and about the empanadas thing, I like ham n cheese ones, and grinded meat empanadas, preferabbly spicy.
Edit two: about you saying that its a clever idea for an au in the PR universe. Heres the thing: my friend Florencia sent me a picture of a store called Raleigh and it all spiraled from there.
My friend had said something about having a bike repair shop, and I thought it was clever. But since I like motorcycles more I decided to say fuck it " n mix em to Keep with the theme. I also recomend looking up the motorcycle models mentioned in the AU they are all v pretty!
Also if anyone wants to make art of this AU ill owe you my life/hj.

Joe Rogan's 1969 Chevy Nova Restomod
By Dave Ashton
If you have watched enough of Joe Rogan’s very popular podcast, you will have no doubt about his love of classic muscle cars. One standout vehicle in Mr Rogan’s collection is a custom 1969 Chevy Nova Restomod, produced by Pure Vision Design with a supercharged LT4 V8 powertrain.
In reality, Mr Rogan has quite an eclectic mix of vehicles in his collection, going from off-road performance like a 2021 Ford Raptor Hennessey Velociraptor 600, to even German engineering like a 2008 SharkWerks Porsche 997 911 GT3 RS. But for somebody who is American born and raised, a custom muscle car build is an obvious choice. Especially an example such as in 1969 Chevrolet Nova, a vehicle that is as tough and rugged looking now as it has ever been.
The video below walks you through the background behind the custom build, inspiration, and mechanicals. The custom build is also clearly a labor of love for the team, who quite rightly wax lyrical about every aspect of the car.
As with any custom muscle car build worth its salt, the powertrain is a key component. This particular Chevy Nova features a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8, basically, the same variant found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Without any tweaks to the power levels, the engine is good for 650 hp and 650 lb-ft. of torque, going through a 6-speed manual Tremec transmission. No power steering here.
The sheet metal used in the build was custom shaped and sourced from other vehicles such as a Camaro and Firebird, resulting in a 3 inches extra width to the vehicle. The interior is also completely bespoke, with added old and new extras such as an infotainment screen, and even Fender Telecaster electric guitar knobs for some of the accompaniments.
In essence, check out the full video below, even if it is just to get an idea of all the subtle details added to this wonderful custom build.

Tracklist The Fever No Te Creas Que Soy Lassie Moçamba Rainfalls Turbo Love Bomb More Sugar Conmibum 27 Hours Calcinha Velociraptores   Ficha técnica Produzido por Mandale Mecha Letra e voz: Michu Mendez Programação e guitarra: Gustavo Koshikumo Programação e teclado: Juliano Parreira Programação e baixo: Chico Abreu Saxofones em "Rainfalls": Mauro Fontoura e Éder Araújo Mixagem e masterização: Deep Leaks Arte da capa: Felipe Parucci Selo: Raso Estúdio   Siga Mándale Mecha http://www.instagram.com/mandalemecha_br
