#OC: Loopy Lancelot

Ramblings below the cut:

Fun fact: This was actually started in 2023, but I struggled with the background and eventually gave up on it. Recently I haven't been feeling all that well about some of the more recent drawings I've been working on, so I figured hey, why not try and revisit some old art that never got finished? And well, I chose this piece since Halloween. Redid the whole background from scratch (Sorta? I still used the same sketch for reference with some additions). I never deleted the old background layers from the clip file, though they're not much, just some failed attempts at outlining.

Speaking of layers, there is an additional scrapped layer for stars in the sky! As much as I liked how it looked even though it was just a bunch of differently-sized dots, I ended up getting rid of them because they were too distracting imo. Maybe I'll share the version with stars if people wanna see it, but rn I don't feel like saving a separate file for a minor difference.

It's been a hot minute since I last drew Loopy.

I can't believe it's already been a year since I created and started developing her; feels like that was only a couple of months ago at most. I may not be drawing her as much as I was at the height of my Toontown frenzy, but she's still one of my favorite OCs of mine and I'll always love her dearly.

Speaking of development, I finally finished making Loopy's Toyhouse page yesterday! I believe I've linked to it before on this blog, but I hid it for a very long time afterwards because I wasn't satisfied with how it was written (It was incomplete anyways; the history section was missing), and then I ended up getting writer's block multiple times while trying to rewrite it. If I did share this before, then sorry the page was just. Missing for so long. But hey, it's back up if any of y'all wanna learn some Loopy lore!

Well, the poll results for if I should do AF were an overwhelming yes, so here we go. I can't guarantee I'll draw much, if anything at all, but I'll at least try.

Last-minute Pride month drawing before it ends in my time in like... 15 minutes as of writing. It'll probably be less than that by the time I actually post this though.

I figured I'd draw Loopy for this year's Pride drawing since she's been on my mind a LOT ever since I made her. I think at this rate, she's gonna be the OC I end up drawing the most. I mean, she already has more drawings than my own freaking sona at this point. But ah well, I don't control what my brain decides to fixate on, as much as I'd want to.

Speaking of Loopy, her Toyhouse page is finally up! The History section isn't on there yet though because my brain just kinda... Lost motivation to work on it. I promise I'll finish it someday, but that might not be anytime soon at this point. Or maybe it will; it's really just one part of that section that I'm struggling to write. We'll see.

Various doodles I did over a week-long vacation. All but the first one are apart of an Aggie session with one of my main friend groups. My family didn't really do anything in the mornings or late nights, so I figured I could use that time to make the Aggie doodles look nice for once as opposed to my usual messy sketches.

Some notes about each drawing, which are posted in order of "completion"

This is based off an RP scenario within the Aggie friend. In this verse, the Override- or V as some call it- has developed very limited emotional capabilities. In the context of the RP, some Really Bad Shit happened to Chip.

I did this in celebration of the Buck plushie reaching 1500 hours.

I genuinely don't know why I drew this. It just popped into my head while I was thinking of other stuff to draw and I just went with it.

For once in my life, I drew my sona again. I never actually "finished" this, as you can see with some parts of it being messier than others. I wanted to hold off on posting until after I cleaned this doodle up, but by now it's been a week since my family vacation ended and I don't see myself finishing it super soon. I'm not saying that it won't be finished; I just don't wanna hold up posting this sketch dump because of one drawing. I do wanna finish this as of writing this post, I'll just self rb this with the finished version once it's done.

Finally, I get to talk about one of my Toontown OCs that isn't Loopy. Not that I don't like Loopy or anything, I just have so many OCs that I wanna show off an talk about. But of course, my slow art output always gets in the way of doing so because it just doesn't feel right to post about them without a concrete design. But enough about that; I should actually talk about this fella.

His name is Perry Antonio Tonne, though most just abbreviate his middle name to A. He's a bit of a celebrity within Ye Olde Toontowne, known for defending the playground from threats for over 3 decades. A very charming Toon who can dodge or parry nearly everything thrown his way, it's no wonder many Toons- including a young Loopy Lancelot- look up to him!

However, traveling to YOTT, one will find that opinions on him are a lot more polarizing than word of mouth would have you believe. Most won't disagree that Perry has a high opinion of himself, though some will say it's to insufferable degrees. He's constantly boasting about his skills to others and in battle, berates others who fight alongside him for any mistakes they make. He's often accused of only caring about his fans if they stroke his already massive ego, sometimes even exploiting them for personal gain: There's a rather prominent rumor flying around that he's a skilled pickpocketer, and that he uses these skills to steal money from his devoted fans...

Some will also say that he's.... Kinda pathetic for someone who talks so big.

I’ve been seeing people make profiles of their Toons using this template and I thought it would be fun to hop on the bandwagon.It gives me an opportunity to tell y’all about my precious girl a bit more before the still-unfinished Toyhouse page comes up too, so why not?

Some extra notes:

-The gag levels + prestige stars in bright pink indicate tracks I always keep on me in battle. The bright red numbers and stars are Loopy the character’s main tracks (I do keep Squirt and Zap on me at all times, though Drop is sometimes switched out for Sound due to my limited training points)

-The scribbled out text reads “B. Biggs was here”.

-The background was taken from the YOTT page of the Corporate Clash wiki.

Some Loopy heads I made specifically to demonstrate a quirk of hers: Whenever she gets excited, these rings surround her irises like a target- bullseyes, if you will. Right now the lore is that this is a hereditary thing. Which parent did she get it from? That has yet to be decided.

Speaking of Loopy, I’ve been slowly, but surely working on a Toyhouse page for her! It’s mostly complete right now, but one of the sections (AKA her story) is absolutely massive, and I’m only early into section 2 out of 4 for that. I can’t give an estimated release date for that page, especially when I haven’t been very motivated to work on it recently, but I do hope to have it done by the end of this month. No guarantees, as always.

I finally joined the Corporate Clash bandwagon, no doubt thanks to some close friends of mine. I’ve actually been playing since late January/early February, though my interest in it was relatively passive.... Until a few days ago. I do a bit of a dive into the Corporate Clash lore and just like that, the brainworms got a hold of me.

So this is my main Toon at the moment, Loopy Lancelot. She’s quite the silly fellow, outgoing and chatty, loves cracking little jokes with her friends. She’s a pretty enthusiastic one, especially when it comes to slapstick, which she considers peak comedy. Other Toons, however.... Not so much. They think she’s way too much of a brute and thus tend to avoid her, so she doesn’t have many friends. The few friends she does have however, primarily this one friend group that consists of me and my friends’ Toons, are ones she care about deeply and will happily sacrifice her happiness for them. She’s also trans!

She also may or may not end up being shipped with one of the Managers, cause those fellas especially have me in a brainrot choke hold. At the very least she’ll befriend one of them, anyways. Who will it be? I don’t know if I feel confident enough to elaborate publicly.

Bonus: What she currently looks like in-game:

Her drip here isn’t finalized at the moment. The shoes and collar are staying, I may swap out the shirt with one of the playing card ones from the Gumball Machine because I REALLY like the aesthetic of that set. The firefighter skirt is to be swapped out with the knight, which probably won’t happen for a LOOONG while because I am nowhere near ready to fight Holly (I’m still early into the Barnacle Boatyard part of the main quest), plus the low drop rate of that thing.Good Cog that’s gonna be really fun /s
