Just Us
Tumblr media
Summary: A kid free night? What?! Sebastian’s planned a date night. The first one since Genevieve and Aiden have come to live with our lovebirds. A sweet mix of angst, fluff, and smut.
“Seb, are you sure about this?” I asked nervously as my husband drove to my sister’s house. The children weren’t paying attention to us as they sat in the back seat.
“Rin, you and I haven’t been on date since the kids came to live with us. And this was Charlie’s idea." Sebastian chuckled, lacing his fingers with mine.
“I hope they’ll be okay.” I murmured and looked at them in the rearview mirror.
“They’ll be fine, regina mea. They love their Aunt Charlie. Isn’t that right, guys?” Sebastian exclaimed, receiving a yell of affirmation from the backseat. We pulled up to Charlie’s and grabbed the kids’ bags out of the trunk. They ran up to the door and took my twin into a hug.
“Hello, my dears!” She shouted and lead them into the house, ushering Sebastian and myself in after them.
“Aunt Charlie, will you pleeeeease tell mom she and dad need a night to themselves? Mom is so worried about us all the time.” I heard my daughter whisper as she looked over her shoulder to me. I saw Charlie nod and then stand up to come over to me.
“There’s nothing to worry about, sis. I’ve got pizza coming and we’re having a movie night. And ice cream. I won’t let anything happen to them, I promise.” She assured me and gave me a tight hug. I nodded hesitantly before looking to Genevieve and Aiden.
“Come on. Come give us hugs.” I whispered and waved them over. I held back tears as I hugged and kissed them before they went to Sebastian and ran to the living room. Sebastian walked over to my sister and brother-in-law and hugged them.
“Thank you guys. I really do appreciate this.” He told them as I watched my daughter and son play with their cousins. I was in a trance until a strong hand rested on the exposed skin of my lower back, sending a shudder through my body.
“Come on, doll. We’ll be late for dinner.” Sebastian whispered in my ear and kissed my neck. “They’ll be okay. And Charlie promised to call if anything happens.” He added as I rested my head on his shoulder.
“Alright. Just please be patient with me, Sebastian.” I murmured and grabbed his hand. I rushed out the door before I could change my mind and Sebastian helped me into the car. I stared out the window as my husband started to drive.
“So, we’re going to dinner and I booked a hotel room for us.” He tried to make conversation, but my mind wandered.
“Why won’t you let me have my phone?” I asked and looked at him with a pout.
“Because tonight is about us. You and me. The kids are fine with your sister. We haven’t had a night to ourselves in a few months and I need my wife. I need you tonight.” He explained and rested his hand on my leg. I looked up and saw tears forming in his eyes.
“I know, sweetheart. I’m so sorry. I love you.” I whispered and wiped one of the falling tears.
“I love you too, iubită. Now, let’s focus on us. And how absolutely stunning you look tonight.” He cooed and pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant.
“I don’t look that nice.” I murmured as Sebastian helped me out of the car. He let me walk in front of him and I heard him whisper under his breath.
“You look perfect.” Those three little words turned my worrying and paranoid mind to one of focus. On him.
“You really think I look good?” I asked with a smirk. He caught up with me and wrapped his arm around my waist, kissing my neck with a giggle.
“More beautiful than the day I met you.” He purred as we walked into the restaurant. The waiter showed us our table and smiled as he brought us our wine.
“I love you, Sebastian.” I cooed before taking a sip.
“I love you too, Corinne.” He whispered and kissed the top of my hand before ordering his food. I ordered mine and smiled at my husband. We ate dinner and drank our wine, laughing and telling stories.
“Hey, baby. I think we should go ahead and pay.” I told him, watching him over my wine glass.
“Oh really? And why do you say that?” He asked, looking at me with a mischievous glimmer in his eye and a raised eyebrow. He knew what that look did to me.
“You know exactly why, you little shit.” I mumbled and winked at him. I leaned in and hovered my lips above his. “I want you.” I whispered against his lips.
“I want you too.” He replied, his voice low and husky, the taste of wine still on his lips. I sat back down as he waved the waiter over and paid. The waiter brought his card back and Sebastian grabbed my hand, leading me out to the car.
I followed him, giggling as I grabbed his ass. Sebastian looked over his shoulder and winked with that toothy grin that always sent my heart flipping.
“You’re such a naughty girl sometimes.” He whispered in my ear before helping me into the car. He leaned down and hovered his lips above mine.
“But you love me.” I giggled and kissed him. He pulled away and smirked before getting into the car. His fingers traced over the exposed skin of my thigh as he drove. I leaned my head against the seat and looked at him with a look of pure desire as heat rushed to my core.
Sebastian pulled into the parking lot of the hotel down the street from the restaurant and helped me out of the car. He lead me inside and checked us in, his smile wide as the lady at the front desk looked us over. She handed us the key cards and he pulled me into the elevator.
“You’re so beautiful.” He crooned and kissed me, my body between his and the wall. The elevator stopped on our floor. He pulled us into the room, my body pinned against the door the second it was closed. His mouth attacked mine and I let out a moan.
“Fuck, Rin.” He panted as he pressed his body against mine and kissed my neck.
“Seb.” I moaned as I tried my best to unbutton his dress shirt under his tie.
“I love you, printesă.” He whispered. He started bunching up the bottom of my dress and his hand went between my legs.
“I love you too.” I heaved, my body shaking from his touch.
“No panties? My, you are rotten. And oh, so wet for me, îngerul.” Sebastian purred and kissed me. His fingers slid into my folds and his teeth nipped my lips. I let out a throaty groan and rolled my hips against his hand.
“Papi chulo.” I mewled against his lips. His eyes went grey and he pulled his fingers away.
“Open.” He commanded in a husky tone, bringing his fingers to my lips. I opened my mouth and he pressed his fingers against my tongue and the taste of my juices hit me. “Suck.” He murmured in my ear. I obeyed, his dominant tone and lustful eyes making me more than willing to play this game with him. I licked and sucked his fingers clean, moaning around them.
“Sebastian. Please.” I whimpered, my body arching closer to his. My body shook as he turned me around and unzipped my dress. I pressed my hands against the door and he wrapped a hand in my hair. I felt my head pull back and let out a yelp as he nipped my neck. All I could focus on was how naked I was against his clothes and I felt his hips grind against my ass, his erection pressing against me.
“Do you want it, printesă?” He whispered in my ear before biting and sucking at my neck again.
“Please.” I croaked out, my hands pressed to the door. I felt his lips curl into a smile and he swept me off my feet to carry me to the bed.
“Come on, pisoi.” He whispered and kissed my cheek as he sat me down on the bed with a sweet yet dominant smile. He looked over my body with nothing but lust in his eyes. “You’re so fucking beautiful.” He whispered against my lips. One of his hands rested against my center and the other hand wrapped around my neck.
“Seb.” I heaved. My body leaned closer to his and I knew I would be sore by night’s end.
“What is it, printesă? I know you’re ready for me.” He growled, his grip on my neck tightening slightly. “Before I give my girl what she so desperately needs, you need to promise me you’ll tell me if I hurt you in any way.” He told me quietly and kissed me gently.
“I promise.” I whispered and pressed my forehead against his. “I trust you, baby. And I love you.” I added with a smile.
“I love you too.” Sebastian crooned and kissed my forehead. “I love you so much. I missed our little games.” He purred before pushing me back onto the bed and flipping me over.
“Ooof.” I heaved on the impact. Suddenly, a warm hand made contact with the bare flesh of my bottom, eliciting a yelp as a sting ran through me.
“Ass up, beautiful.” He commanded. The sound of his belt and zipper making me hesitant to obey. I bit my lip and yelped again as his hand smacked my other cheek. “I didn’t stutter, printesă.” He leaned down and bit my ear, pressing his body against mine.
“Now, ass up and be a good girl for me.” He growled and pulled away. I lifted my hips off the bed and wiggled my ass for him.
“Fuck me.” I was so close to begging. I rarely ever liked it when he acted like this, but he went about it in a way I couldn’t resist.
“Not yet, beautiful.” He whispered, his hands grabbing at my stinging ass. I let out a whine as his cock pressed against my leg, my body arching as his hands roamed down my back.
“Sebastian, please.” I pleaded. As soon as the words left my lips, I felt one of his strong hands wrap in my hair and my body jerked upright. I couldn’t hold back the scream as he tugged my hair, the pained sounds quickly turning to moans as his teeth nipped my neck.
“Fuck, you’re shaking, my love. How bad do you want me?” Sebastian purred, his breath hot and coating my skin. I winced as he pulled my hair again, his manhood pressing against me. “Answer me, îngerul.” He groaned.
“I don’t want you. I need you, you asshole.” My voice sounded stronger than I felt and we both knew it. He knew it was both. He knew what he was doing to me. His free hand wrapped around my neck and applied pressure as his other hand pulled my hair harder, straining the roots. The pain that rushed through me only succeeded in making me want him even more.
“Maybe I should gag your mouth. Keep you from talking to me like that.” He purred before throwing me back onto the bed. I gasped for air, my eyes glancing over my shoulder to see my husband fisting his length and biting his bottom lip.
“You want it, don’t you?” He teased. He took a step closer and ran the tip over my clit, that Chesire Cat smile showing how much enjoyed me like this.
“God, please just fuck me, Sebastian!” I cried out and whined. He wrapped his hand in my hair again and his other hand pulled my hip as he slammed into me. My hands gripped the sheets as my body found a rhythm with his.
The way he moaned as he thrusted faster and harder made my head spin. My back arched and my breasts danced against the sheets, his hands keeping me steady.
“Oh fuck!” Sebastian cried out, ecstasy and pleasure in his voice. All I could focus on was his skin against mine. His hand tangled in my hair. Him.
“Seb.” I heaved. My body shook as I moved my hips in time with his.
“I need to see you come undone for me.” He leaned in and whispered in a husky tone before pulling out of me. My body collapsed and he grabbed my ankles, flipping me over onto my back. I looked up at him and my eyes reflected his. Nothing but pure lust and desire.
“Sebastian, please.” I whined and spread my legs open. He stepped between them and grabbed my thighs.
“Say it again. Use your favorite nickname.” He commanded. Dominant looked so fucking good on him.
“Papi chulo. Please.” He had me begging for him. Begging. I never begged. I looked up at him and licked my lips just as he thrusted into me. He let out a low, throaty groan as I took him again, his body trembling against mine.
“I love it when you moan like that for me.” He growled and pounded into me faster. The sheets in my hand served as a barrier for my nails and my body arched off the bed, my core twisting and my moans growing louder.
“I-I-I’m…” I panted, the words on my lips, unable to leave them. I shook, trying to hold back my impending climax. His thrusts became thoughtless, fast, and erratic. He was almost there.
“I know. You’re so close, beautiful. Tell me how bad you want to cum for me, my princess.” Sebastian purred and my body reacted as he spoke. “Come on, regina mea.” He added in a whisper.
“Sebastian, please. I can’t…” I whimpered and writhed against him.
“Do it. Come on, baby.” He murmured. My heart pounded in my ears as he kept thrusting into me, my body arching off the bed. I could barely feel as my darling husband stilled and filled me to the brim, his own moans mixing with mine.
He pulled away from me and kissed me gently, my body a heaving mess on the bed. I heard him walk away as my heartbeat slowed and my blurry vision cleared. I felt a warm washcloth start cleaning me up and smiled, absolutely mesmerized by how he could go from domineering and devilish to tender and gentle in such a short time frame.
“I love you.” I muttered as he threw the washcloth into the bathroom and climbed into the bed with me.
“I love you too, darling.” He crooned, his arms wrapping around me. He laid his head on my chest and I ran my fingers through his hair, smiling at the purr-like sound rumbling through his body.
“What brought all that on?” I whispered.
“I honestly don’t know. I think it was a mix of lust, love, and need. I needed you so badly and I’m so madly in love with you that I just wanted to fuck you senseless.” He answered and looked up at me with those steel blue eyes. Home.
“I think I needed it.” I chuckled and kissed his forehead. “You called me something tonight that you’ve never called me before.” I looked at him curiously and ran my hand over his back.
“You mean ‘pisoi’? It means ‘kitten’. For some reason, I’ve always wanted to call you that. But it’s not very fitting for you.” He explained with a smile. “You’re too fierce and rotten to be a kitten. I think I should stick with what I’ve always called you.” He told me sweetly and kissed me.
“I like those better too.” I admitted with a cheeky grin. He laughed as he reached over and grabbed his phone, his lock screen illuminating his face. A picture he took of me and the kids at the park. My heart suddenly panged when I saw their faces.
“I know, iubită. I’m about to call your sister. She didn’t call, so that means nothing happened.” Sebastian whispered and sat beside me on the bed. He put the phone on speaker so I could hear as my sister answered the phone.
“If I didn’t know why you were calling, I’d probably think you were drunk dialing me.” Charlie laughed.
“Haha, real funny, sis. How were they?” Sebastian joked back and looked at me with a smile.
“They were absolute angels. They’re asleep now. Aiden loves Brady and Genevieve took to Emmalyn.” Charlie answered and I could hear her shuffling the kitchen. “Are you two having fun?” She asked. I could hear the mischief in my twin sister’s voice and smiled.
“We are. And we might have a little more fun.” Seb answered and looked over to me with a smirk and a wink.
“Well, don’t let me stop you from having a kid free night. Make sure she gets some rest though.” She chuckled and hung up.
“See? Nothing to worry about, regina mea.” He crooned and kissed me after setting his phone on the bedside table.
“You were right. I love you.” I whispered against his lips.
“I love you too, Rin.” He murmured and kissed me again. Each time his lips pressed to mine, the kiss become more passionate until I was straddling his legs.
“All mine.” I cooed and buried my head in his neck.
“All yours.” He whispered and held me close. His body against mine was all I needed.

With Arms Wide Open-What’s in a Name?
Tumblr media
Summary: Corinne and Sebastian have to have a serious conversation with Genevieve and Aiden about something that will affect them later in the adoption
“Evie! Aiden! Can you guys come on down here for a few?” I shouted up the stairs before going back to the kitchen table. I sat down next to Sebastian, trying to calm my nerves as I wiped my hands on my palms.
“It’ll be fine, regina mea. I promise.” Seb whispered and kissed my forehead. Evie and Aiden walked in and sat down across from us.
“What’s going on? Why are you crying, mom?” Genevieve asked, her voice full of concern.
“We have something we want to talk to you guys about and it’s really emotional for your momma.” Sebastian explained as he grabbed my hand.
“Okaaaaay…” Aiden said with a nervous smile.
“You guys know that in a couple weeks, you won’t be living with us anymore.” Sebastian started before lacing his fingers with mine. “Then we should see you guys about a month later when we get to bring you home for good.” He finished, looking at each of us with a sweet smile.
“Yeah. I’m not looking forward to leaving.” Evie muttered, her face sinking as she looked at us.
“I’m not looking forward to it either, raza de soare. But it’s part of the process.” My husband stated in his best fatherly voice. I had to bite the inside of my cheek to hold back the tears from our daughter’s comment.
“So, why did you want to talk to us?” Aiden asked, flashing that crooked, charming smile.
“Well, when we finally bring home, for good, we were wonder if…” I paused, gathering my strength. “Well, we were wondering, if you wanted to, changing your last name.” I asked cautiously and squeezed Sebastian’s hand.
“Whatcha mean, mom?” Our son asked, tilting his head.
“Well, when parents adopt children, most of the time, the parents change the kids’ last name to theirs.” I explained. My leg bounced under the table like it always did when I was anxious.
“So you’re basically asking whether we want your last names?” Evie asked, giving us a small side smile. She looked at me and then Sebastian, who gave her a nod of affirmation.
“But you don’t…” I started before I was cut off.
“Uh yeah.”
“Why wouldn’t we?” Their voices overlapped with such assurance in their answers.
“You mean that?” I whimpered as Aiden wrapped his arms around my neck and squeezed.
“Makes sense, doesn’t it?” Evie chuckled, going to Sebastian and kissing his cheek.
“I love you guys more than you can ever imagine.” I told them through sobs. Aiden pressed his forehead to mine, reaching up to wipe my tears gently with his thumbs. I couldn’t help but smile, knowing there was only one person he could have learned that from.
“We love you too, Mom.” Evie murmured as she hugged me.
“Love you guys.” Sebastian said with a smile as both kids hugged him. “Now, can you guys go back upstairs? I need to have some alone time with your momma.” He whispered, giving me a smile. I saw the kids run to the stairs, giggling and laughing.
I stood up to go to the kitchen and Sebastian held out his hand, looking up at me with those soul piercing eyes. I took his hand gently only to be pulled into his lap and kissed deeply before having a heart stopping smile flashed at me.
“What’d I tell ya, raţa? I knew it.” Seb said smugly. I shoved his shoulder with a smile and bright red cheeks.
“You’re such a cocky asshole sometimes, you know that?” I muttered before kissing him, letting out a soft giggle.
“And you’re just a hot damn mess sometimes, regina mea.” He retorted. I laughed as I saw him barely able to keep a straight face.
“Oh yeah? Mr. ‘I don’t know anything during interviews’?” I joked as I mocked his dazed expressions.
“You’re lucky you’re so goddamn cute.” He murmured. I couldn’t help but smile as he leaned in to kiss my neck.
“I do have a serious question for you though, darlin.” My tone changed as his face stayed buried in my neck.
“Whatsa matter?” He grunted, resting his head on my shoulder.
“What are we gonna change their last name to?” I asked quietly and started running my fingers through his hair.
“That is a good question. If you had taken just my last name, we’d do that. But we definitely aren’t traditional, so we do need to figure that out.” Sebastian chuckled, kissing my neck again.
“Pull a Brad and Angelina? Hyphenate their last names?” I suggested.
“Makes the most sense. They’re both of ours.” Seb agreed, lifting his head to smile warmly at me.
“Te iubesc, Sebastian.” I whispered and pressed my forehead to his. I saw him sign “I love you” out of the corner of my eye before leaning up to kiss me.
“You have to be the most amazing woman I know other than Ma. You love me in just the right way. Blows my mind. I’m so lucky to have you.” My husband cooed, wrapping his arms around me.
“Your mom would agree.” I chuckled and kissed his cheek. “And thank you. I don’t say that enough. Thank you for drying my tears and loving me, even though I’m a hot mess.” I crooned, brushing his hair with my fingers again.
“You’re everything I ever wanted and more.” Sebastian whispered, his hands pulling me closer. We basked in the streams of lighting coming through our window, holding each other close.

With Arms Wide Open-Don’t Forget to Remember Me
Tumblr media
Summary: It’s been three months and it’s time for the kids to leave until the court date.
A/N: If y’all knew how many tears went into this story. It’s a lot if emotions and I simply can’t.
This was going to be one of the hardest days of my life. Worse than the day I found out I couldn’t give birth to any children. I looked at Sebastian with tear filled eyes as we got dressed silently, knowing the other didn’t get any sleep the night before. We walked down the stairs to find the kids sitting on the couch, their bags by the door. My heart felt like it was being ripped to shreds.
“Why do we have to?” Aiden asked, tears streaming down that still fresh face.
“You know why, buddy. I know it’s hard.” Sebastian answered, sitting behind Genevieve to braid her hair.
“I don’t want to. I want to stay with you!” My boy cried and ran into my arms. To hold him while he cried like this smashed my soul.
“Sshh, darlin’. We’ll be together soon. Promise.” I whispered through tears.
“O să-mi fie dor de tine, tătic.” I’m going to miss you, dad. I heard my daughter whimper as Sebastian finished he braid. She turned to look at him, trying to hold her head high and keep her tears back.
“I’m going to miss you too, raza de soare.” My husband murmured and pulled her close. That’s what caused her tears to fall. “You’re so precious to me. My sunshine.” He rocked her as they cried, their bodies shaking with emotion.
I picked Aiden up and walked over to the couch where Genevieve and Sebastian were sitting and sat down, holding my son close. This would be the last time we would be together as a family for a while, so I needed to make the best of it.
“I have an idea.” I said quietly through my tears. “Let’s all say what our favorite memories were from the past 3 months.” I suggested, using that fake smile I was all too good at from work.
“I’ll go first, I guess.” Evie muttered, wiping her tears away gently. “I guess my favorite memory was when you took us to the zoo, Dad.” My daughter chuckled as she looked at Sebastian the way I always looked at my dad. Eyes full of love and a smile that only he should get to see.
“And where was I during this?” I asked with a smile and a cocked eyebrow.
“You were at your work conference…thing.” She smirked and looked at me.
“I remember that. You had me sing ‘If You Leave’ a million and a half times!” Sebastian laughed and hugged her tight.
“I think mine was the day we had the picnic at the park with Callie and Bo. Before school started?” Aiden looked from me to Sebastian and smiled.
“I remember that. You ended up getting bitten by some sorta bug. I had to run to the store three times for calamine lotion.” Seb chuckled
“I felt so bad it too. I hated seeing you all scratched up.” I murmured as I started to pet his hair.
“At least now we know I shouldn’t be allowed to do stuff like run through the woods.” My son chuckled and flashed that heart stopping smile. “What was your favorite, Dad?” Aiden asked, looking to Sebastian with bright hazel eyes. Eyes that could hold your heart and never let go.
“Hmm. There’s so many to choose from.” My husband pondered. “I think mine is either my birthday or the day I came home and I’d been having a really crappy couple of days. You guys had my favorite pizza and a movie. And your mommma gave me that smile I strive to see every day.” Seb chuckled as he looked to me before taking the kids into his arms and hugged them tight. I had to fight the tears again as I watched how close they had become in just ninety days. Like they had always known each other.
“What about you, regina mea?” Sebastian’s voice pulled me out of my bubble of self-pity. I looked up at him and smiled weakly, willing myself to stay strong for them.
“Umm. It was probably the first night. Having those chairs at our table finally filled with people who felt like they belonged there. Hearing more about how you grew up before you came here. It made me love you guys more than I thought I could ever love anyone but you, Sebastian. It made me feel joy for the first time this year.” I hiccupped and started sobbing, burying my face in my hands. I felt three pairs of arms wrap around my shivering body, the people attached whispering soft assurances.
“I’m sorry. I know I should…” I heaved before a knock on the door interrupted my train of thought. “No. No no no no no.” I whispered as Sebastian disappeared to open the door. He came back around the corner with Lillian following close behind.
“Hello.” She whispered with a weak smile. “Genevieve. Aiden. It’s time.” She said with a little more volume, careful to avoid my gaze.
“One more minute.” Genevieve stated boldly before kneeling in front of me, her hands grabbing my face gently.
“Listen to me, mom. I’ll never forget you. And you can’t forget me.” She whispered and pressed her forehead to mine. “I’ll be back with you. Any way I have to.” She told me with a wry smile before wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I love you, my beautiful girl.” I whimpered.
“I love you too, mom. So much.” She cried, her tears soaking the shoulder of my shirt.
“You be like Cap for your brother. Be his Leia. Promise me.” I told her and looked into those eyes. They held my entire world.
“Promise.” She said quietly before running into Sebastian’s arms. Aiden gave me a long hug and kissed before running out the door, sobbing.
I watched as Genevieve rushed past Lillian to chase after her brother. I watched as Sebastian talked to our case worker. She’d been with us through the entire journey. And in this moment, I couldn’t have hated anyone more than I hated her.
“Corinne, I know…” She started softly before I help my finger up to stop her.
“You need to get out. Please.” I whispered weakly, pointing to the door.
“C’mon, Lil. She needs some time.” Sebastian said as he lead her out, grabbing the kids bags. Once I knew they were far enough out the door, I ran upstairs, stopping in front of Genevieve’s room. I froze there and started violently sobbing, my body falling to the floor. I was so lost in my tears that I didn’t hear Sebastian come sit down next to me. I crawled into his lap and bawled, taking little comfort in his presence.
“Why…did…” I hiccupped and hugged him tight.
“I know, my love.” He whispered and stood up, closing Genevieve’s bedroom door before going to close Aiden’s.
“Just hold me, Sebastian.” I cried and help him tight.
“Of course, regina mea.” He whispered and picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he carried me bridal style into our room before sitting me on our bed.
“C’mere.” Sebastian cooed as I crawled in his lap. “I got ya, baby girl.” He purred, rubbing my back and rocking me as I continued to cry, my heart feeling like it was being ripped to a million pieces.

With Arms Wide Open-Is This What It Felt Like?
Tumblr media
Summary: Sebastian’s told Corinne he would try to get something done and well, it might not work out the way he thought.
A/N: I’m a freaking mess and I’m so sorry about all the emotions. Also have some crying Sebastian. I’m so sorry. So so sorry.
“There’s nothing you can do?” I asked, whispering into my phone.
“I’m sorry, Sebastian. I’ve tried everything I can. The court just won’t budge.” Lillian responding, her voice low.
“God, this is going to kill her.” I muttered and rubbed my temple.
“I know. I’m so sorry. I’ll see you in a week.” Our caseworker hung up and I started to cry, knowing I would be the sole reason my wife’s heart would be breaking today.
“God, Seb. Why’d you even say anything in the first place? You fucking idiot.” I mumbled. I flopped down on the couch, crying and running through how I would tell Corinne.
“Hey, baby!” Corinne chirped as she came back from grocery shopping.
“Hey.” I replied, trying to hold back my tears at her voice. I walked into the kitchen and started to help her, keeping my head down.
“Uh oh. Something’s wrong. Tell me.” Rin used her ‘mom’ voice on me and lifted my chin. I put down the apples I was holding and lead her into the living room.
“Might wanna sit.” I mumbled as I sat on the couch. I left a cushion between the two of us.
“Sebastian, you tell me what the hell is going on right now.” She demanded, her face turning bright red.
“You know what I said last week? About trying to see if the kids could stay until the court date?” I kept my head down as I spoke softly. I could feel her climb up on the couch and breathe heavily, a sign of her optimistic spirit. A sign of hopes that got too high.
“Yeah! What’d they say?!” She almost squealed and leaned closer. I put my face in my hands, rocking as I sobbed.
“I’m so sorry, Rin. I’m so…” I trailed off and heaved.
“They couldn’t do it?” She asked. I knew by her tone she already knew the answer. I heard her sniffle before coming over and pulling me close.
“I tried…”I hiccupped, my cries broken.
“Sshh. I know you did, darling. I know.” She cooed, petting my hair as she rocked me.
I leaned into her body, resting my head on her chest. I was still sobbing, my breathing ragged and I held on to her. I felt a tear fall onto my neck and pulled her closer.
“Is this what it felt like? When you found out…?” I asked. My head stayed rested against her chest.
“Very similar, I’m sure. Feels like a knife going through your entire body?” She whispered and kissed the back of my neck. I nodded and she rubbed my back. “Yeah. But you tried. That’s all you can do.” Corinne murmured and lifted my head up. I saw her tear glistened eyes and almost turned away before she grabbed my face and smiled at me softly.
“You listen to me, Sebastian. It’s going to be okay. We won’t be whole, of course, but we’ll be okay. I know it hurts, baby. I know. But you tried.” Corinne told me, those kind brown eyes locked with mine.
“I don’t deserve you.” I whispered as my head fell and I kissed her palm.
“And most people would say that I don’t deserve you. Doesn’t make it true, darlin’.” She chuckled. I saw her give me a small smile before pulling me back to her.
“I love you.” I whispered as we laid down.
“I love you too.” She murmured, letting out a quiet yawn.
We laid together as the kids walked in the door, saying their ‘hello’s’ before setting their bags down. I looked up at my wife, smiling as she slept. I got up quietly and kissed her forehead before going to help Genevieve and Aiden with their homework.

Can You Feel the Love?
Tumblr media
Summary: Sebastian and Corinne are at an event and Corinne has to meet Sebastian there.
A/N: This story is completely written with no dialogue between the two. It's very short and something I've never done.

Events like this still put me on edge and showing up to meet Sebastian here instead of arriving with him? I couldn't help the fear and anxiety that rose through me. Even looking the way I did, my hair in place, my makeup done expertly, and wearing one of Charlie's latest creations, a gorgeous red number, I felt so out of place. I looked like the other women here, dressed to the nines. But they couldn't have felt the way I did. Alone and out of place. I wended my way through the crowd, desperate to find the one person who could make me feel at peace. He'd place his hand on my lower back and lean in to whisper that I'd be fine. Just like every other time events like this were attended. He'd place a kiss on my neck and cheek before murmuring something about how beautiful I looked. Then he'd say something suggestive. He always does. He knows how to make me laugh when I need it most. Finally, I spotted him. He stood out in the blue Hugo Boss suit, setting him apart from everyone here. I kept working through the crowd, the need to reach him growing like a tide. I saw his head turn to face me, that smile that lights up my entire grim existence at these things spreading across that chiseled face. He patted the arm of the man he was talking to and I read the apologies and casual pardon on his lips. It was almost like the parting of the Red Sea, the way the crowd cut so he could move to me. It took everything both of us had not to sprint to the other. We finally met in the middle and his kiss told me everything I needed to know. He felt at peace once again. A kiss on the forehead. A show of solidarity. "We're supporting each other." His eyes glistened, speaking without speaking. And then he wrapped an arm around my waist, keeping me on his right side. "We're stronger together." I told myself as we smiled and drank, Sebastian charming everyone who spoke to him. Like he did me all those years ago. Like he still does everyday of our lives.

Beat in Your Heart
Tumblr media
Summary: With Sebastian being gone for TIFF, there’s an obvious hole in everyone’s hearts.
A/N: Inspired by Lonestar’s “I’m Already There” which you can listen to here -----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJEP5sWuDi8 . This story is incredibly emotional, so yeah.
Giggles filled our home as we had a peaceful Sunday night in, watching our favorite Star Wars movie. The way Genevieve could quote all of Leia’s lines and Aiden could so easily resemble Luke made me giggle. But there was someone missing. My personal Luke lookalike. Sebastian was away for the TIFF. I missed him terribly, just like I knew the kids did. I knew he would get a kick out of Evie quoting lines.
“Just like you, you dork. So much like her momma.” I could hear his voice. He’d look up at me from his spot in my lap as I played with his hair, giving me that rotten as sin smile. I shook my head, trying to clear my mind and focus on our children. I watched as they played out battle scenes, smiling and giggling at them.
My phone started ringing and I leaned over, cursing whoever could have been calling right now. Shit. I huffed. ‘Papi Chulo-FaceTime’. Why are you doing this to me right now? I asked mentally, hoping to use that unspoken connection, even though we were miles apart.
“Hey. You guys stay in here. I need to take this.” I told them quietly as I stood up and answered once I got into the kitchen. I saw his face fill up my screen and my heart started flipping like it always did when I saw him.
“Oh, thank God. I was starting to think you weren’t gonna answer, Rin.” Sebastian told me, running a hand through his hair and giving me a tired smile.
“Of course, I was going to answer, darlin’.” I murmured and smiled sweetly. “How’s everything going?” I asked and his hand flew up.
“No work talk. I can’t do it tonight.” His hands fidgeted and I knew that wasn’t a good subject. “How are things there?” He asked wistfully. He wants to be here. I know that look all too well. I told myself.
“Things are good. It’s movie night since the kids don’t have school tomorrow. We’re watching Return of the Jedi for the millionth time.” I chuckled. I peeked my head around the kitchen corner and smiled at them before turning back to see Sebastian craning his neck to sneak a glimpse of our kids.
“You wanna see ‘em, baby?” I asked quietly, pressing my lips together afterward. I saw the tears forming in his eyes and he nodded, running a hand through his hair. I set the phone down and walked to the living room, walking back a few moments later with the kids behind me.
“What’s going on?” Aiden asked me sweetly.
“I got someone on the phone who wants to talk to you guys.” I answered and grabbed the phone. I held it at their level and turned it so they could see Sebastian. Evie’s eyes filled with tears while Aiden gasped and grabbed the phone, taking it to our table. Genevieve followed behind him and I leaned against the counter, holding back my own tears as I listened to our son recount the ‘adventures’ he’s had since Seb left.
“Well, that’s everything I’ve done. Have you had any adventures, Dad?” Aiden asked and even though I couldn’t see, I knew there were some loving looks being exchanged.
“Nah, not really. Just working. Making sure all these guys stay in line.” Seb chuckled. “Can I talk to your sister now, buddy?” He asked and Aiden handed the phone to Genevieve before walking back to me. He gave me a tight hug and I ruffled his hair before he ran upstairs to grab his blanket. I looked back to see and hear my daughter and husband sniffling.
“When are you coming home?” Evie hiccupped through broken cries, tears streaming down her fair features. I couldn’t see the phone, but what I knew of Sebastian, his heart was in pure agony to see his girl break down like this.
“As soon as I can, raza de soare. I promise. But I’m always there, even if you don’t realize it.” He whispered, taking a sharp breath.
“I miss you so much, tătic.” She heaved. As she tried to catch her breath, she wiped her tears on her sleeves.
“I miss you too, my sweet girl.” He crooned, his voice cracking. “Just remember this. No matter where I am, I’m seeing the same sun, moon, sky, and stars as you. Okay?” Seb asked quietly and doing his best to calm our weeping daughter.
“Okay. I love you, tătic. So much.” Evie whispered and blew him a kiss.
“I love you too, frumoasa. Much more than you’ll ever know.” My husband murmured and blew her a kiss back. She wiped her slowing tears away and brought my phone back. She gave me a gentle hug in passing, but I barely noticed. I was busy drowning in my own tears from watching them and I could barely look down at my phone.
“God, you’re a hot mess.” Sebastian chuckled from the screen, trying to lighten my mood. I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as I wiped my cheeks and attempted to catch my breath. I looked down at him and he wiped his own tears away.
“Takes one to know one, punk.” I retorted and got him to flash me a smile.
“But I’m your punk.” He joked, still not fully recovered from the good crying session we just had all around.
“And only mine.” I whispered. “You know this was never easy, you being gone, when it was just me left behind. Now we’ve got our kiddos. The way Evie looks at you…” I started before my words caught in my throat at the way he looked at me.
“I know. God, do I know. I miss you all so damn much.” Sebastian sniffled. “I miss the way Aiden laughs at the smallest things. The way Genevieve smiles when I tell a set story for what should be the millionth time. And your hugs. I miss the comfort of your arms and the way your fingers brush the hair at the bottom of my neck when I drift to sleep on your chest.” He was rambling and he knew it, but he couldn’t stop. He broke down into heaving, hysterical sobs.
Curse you all. Damn you Marvel and all the other companies. I raged in my mind. I hated seeing him like this.
“Sebastian. Come home. You’re going to have a breakdown one of these days if you don’t recharge and see us for more than thirty minutes through a phone screen.” I was pleading. “I hate this. I can’t stand to see our kids cry because they miss you. It physically kills me to see you cry over this. Please, darling.” I whimpered, my head bowed in dismay.
“Ssshhh, iubită.” He shushed and hummed. “It’s going to be okay. I promise. And I’ll be home sooner than you can imagine. And like I told Evie, I’m there even if it doesn’t feel like it.” His voice was soft and low. So soothing. I looked at him, my body trembling and my lip quivering.
“Do me a favor, regina mea. Put your hand over your heart for me.” He told me with a sweet smile. I mirrored his movement, watching as he placed his right hand over his bare chest where his heart rested. “Feel that heartbeat? A piece of my heart is in there. Same beat. Same rhythm. Same time. Our own song. And I know a piece of your heart is in mine.” Sebastian grinned.
“You’ll always have a piece of my heart, Sebastian.” I whispered, fighting back my tears.
“And you’ll always have a piece of mine, Corinne. And whether they know it or not, Evie and Aiden have a piece of my heart too. Because that’s what a family and love is. Pieces of the others’ hearts to make ours whole.” He crooned and looked at me like in that moment I was the whole world. Like there wasn’t what felt like a million miles between us.
“You’re so wonderful, baby.” I signed one handed, my tears flowing again.
“I love you, Rin.” Seb whispered.
“I love you too.” I whimpered. “We’re going to be okay.” I whispered and looked at him through tear filled eyelashes.
“We’re going to be better than okay, doll.” Sebastian crooned, his eyes never leaving me as I wiped my tears. “You a little better now, printesă?” He asked kindly.
“I’m never one hundred percent when you’re gone, but I’m better.” I told him quietly and sat on the counter.
“I know. I’m not either. I won’t be until I hug those kids and then take you to bed.” He chuckled, his face changing from solemn to mischievous almost as quickly as the words left his lips.
“You are absolutely rotten.” I huffed and smiled before letting out a yawn.
“Rotten to the core, baby doll.” He giggled. “Getting sleepy, regina mea?” He asked and looked at me with heavy eyes of his own.
“Yeah. Between taking care of work and the minions and crying over you, it takes a lot out of this girl.” I told him with a weak smile.
“Better get some rest then. Let me tell the kids goodnight and then I’ll get off here. Got an early flight tomorrow.” Seb told me, his eyes widening slightly.
“Aiden! Genevieve! Come tell dad goodnight! He’s gotta get up early!” I shouted toward the living room. The sound of feet running toward me still made my heart do high dive flips. I handed them the phone and they both smiled at their dad.
“Goodnight, guys. Get some good sleep and you keep behaving for your momma, okay?” Sebastian gave them a sweet smile and a raised eyebrow.
“Of course, dad. We wouldn’t want to disappoint you.” Aiden chuckled and gave his dad a wide grin. Seb held up his fist and our son gave him a fist bump in return before handing the phone to his sister. Genevieve flashed Sebastian a heart stopping smile and his eyes lit up in excitement.
“I hope you have a good night, tătic. I love you so much.” She whispered, her smile still bright.
“I love you too, raza de soare. Get some rest.” He chuckled and blew her a kiss. She blew him one in return and waved goodbye before handing me the phone. She kissed my cheek before walking away, humming the Imperial March.
“And you, Mrs. Winters-Stan, definitely need to try to get some rest.” Sebastian chuckled, giving me a playful grin.
“As do you, Mr. Stan.” I giggled and winked. “I love you, my handsome papi chulo.” I told him with a mischievous smile.
“And I love you, my beautiful printesă.” He crooned, his lips forming as if he were going to kiss me. I copied him and giggled before waving goodbye.
“Night, handsome.” I cooed with a small smile.
“Night, gorgeous.” Sebastian whispered before waving goodbye and hanging up. I watched his face disappear from my screen and immediately wished he was here. Or we were there. I had to push the thoughts far from my mind as I walked upstairs to change into my pajamas. I crawled into our bed and grabbed his pillow, holding it close to me. I hummed myself to sleep, imagining that his strong arms were wrapped around me and he was singing softly.

Don’t Do It-Seb Pov
Tumblr media
Summary: Sebastian’s been feeling anxious, stressed and worried. That means there’s only one thing for Corinne, Genevieve, and Aiden to do.
A/N: I told you guys I was going to work more with Sebastian’s POV, so here we go.
Tags: @sarabeth72 @loricameback @virtualgirlfriendsan @scarletheart333 @mightymelly @marivela14 @justwinchesterme96 @tasteofhiddles @hoodgirl163 @delicatecapnerd
I slammed the door to the house and leaned against it, letting out a long groan. I was sore, tired, and anxious, causing a dark cloud to linger over my days recently.
“Rin?” I called out as I walked to the kitchen. I found my wife, daughter, and son huddled and whispering at the kitchen table.
“Now?” Aiden asked in a loud whisper. I saw Corinne nod and Aiden looked me dead in the eyes as he turned, revealing a pizza from my favorite pizza place.
“What are you guys up to?” I asked with a mix of curiosity and slight irritation in my voice. I saw my wife nod to our daughter and a smile spread on Evie’s lips. She stood up and held up a copy of “Toy Story”, knowing I couldn’t help but crack a small smile.
“I think I see a theme here. Rin, if you’re gonna do what I think you’re gonna do…” I paused as I saw my wife turn and look at me. “Don’t you do it.” I warned and pointed at her with a scowl. I watched as she defied me, giving me that smile. That whole body, ear to ear smile that makes the sun look like the farthest star. Those deep brown eyes lit up and I couldn’t help myself.
Tumblr media
I walked over and buried my head in her neck, sighing as I felt tension start to fall away.
“You didn’t sound so good when you called me from the gym, so I figured we could cheer you up.” Corinne whispered as she ran her fingers through the hair at the base of my neck. The kids wrapped their arms around us and I let out a contented sigh.
“I love you guys.” I murmured. Corinne kissed my cheek gently and I kissed her forehead before hugging Genevieve and Aiden. We grabbed the pizza and walked to the living room to settle in for a family night.

Bearded Beast
Tumblr media
Summary: This is the sequel to yesterday’s ‘Benches’! And literally inspired by the above picture, found on Facebook.
All I could think about since I came to the office this morning was going home to my husband. My beefy, beardy, amazing Sebastian and how badly I needed him again. Thankfully, I had no appointments to attend and my paperwork could wait until after tomorrow when he left for Atlanta again.
“Hey, Julie? I’m heading home.” I signed to my boss with a grin.
“Sounds good. See you next week.” She signed back, giving me a knowing wink and smile. I walked out the door and to our home, picking up a coffee on my way.
“Sebastian! I’m home!” I shouted, setting down my bags and coffee cup. I started unbuttoning my blouse as I walked up the stairs, walking slowly as I heard moans coming from our bedroom.
I peeked my eyes through the crack in the door to see my bearded, muscular husband naked on our bed. One hand was resting behind his head and the other was lazily stroking his length. He eyes stayed closed and a stream of sunlight hit his body, reflecting on the slightly glistening skin of his stomach. His lips parted and his breathing became more labored, a simultaneous symphony and cacophony of moans and pants escaping those perfect lips.
I felt my own heat start to pool and opened the door quietly. I stood by the door, watching him as I stripped off my own clothes. I cleared my throat to get his attention and he pulled his hand away, his eyes flying open to see me.
“H-Hi.” Sebastian stammered. His cheeks and chest turned a brilliant shade of red as I looked him over, biting my lip.
“I see you and I are on the same page.” I chuckled and stalked over to the bed. “But it looks like one of us couldn’t wait.” I remarked and kissed him as I crawled next to him the bed. I buried my face into his neck, giggling at the way his beard scraped my skin.
“I couldn’t help myself, printesă. I kept thinking about last night. How beautiful you were. How incredibly insatiable you were.” He whispered before his breathing hitched. My hand wrapped around his cock and I kissed his neck, his body arching into my touch.
“Me too. ‘T’s why I came home.” I murmured and nibbled his earlobe. “I want you.” I purred, pulling my hand before laying on my back.
“You have me. Always.” He crooned. He rolled over, his body hovering over mine and his lips pressed to that one spot on my neck that sent me reeling. I felt one of his hands ghost down my body before it pushed my legs open.
“Hard to tell who wants who more.” Seb muttered, kissing down my neck and chest. Two fingers slid into my center and the heel of his palm started grinding against my clit with the perfect amount of pressure. I couldn’t hold back the screams and I braced my hand on his arm.
I heaved and panted his name, mixed with obscenities and prayers. He looked up from his place between my breasts and met my eyes. His beard scratched the sensitive skin of my chest and the only thing I could think of was getting that beard between my legs. I bit my lip and dug my nails into his arm, hoping to get my message across.
“I know what you want, iubită.” He whispered, leaning up to kiss me before kissing back down my body. He finally put his lips against my inner thigh and I let out a long moan as the combination of his lips and beard on my skin sent me spinning.
“Yes. Oh yes.” I panted, reaching one hand down and tangling it in his hair. My body arched and he pressed down on my stomach to keep me anchored. His mouth locked around my clit and my head fell back against the bed with low groan.
“I love hearing you moan for me.” Sebastian whispered before licking my clit and then kissing my inner thighs. Alternating. Back and forth. It was pure pleasure and torture. Just like loving him. I felt his lips his curl into a smile as my hips rolled. My free hand grabbed one of the bars of our headboard as he looked up from his spot between my legs.
“Seb. I need you to…” I heaved and pulled his hair. He knew exactly what it meant and sat up on his knees.
“So wet for me.” He chuckled, lifting my hips and resting my ass on his thighs. He took his cock in hand and ran it over my folds, coating it in the slickness. “Might want to hang on.” Seb added in a low growl as my other hand reached for one of the bars. I was barely able to brace myself before his hips slammed against mine.
“Fuck!” I screamed, the impact shaking the bed beneath us. He sat for a moment as he rooted into me, looking at me with loving eyes. I knew why he did this and nodded, letting him know I was okay. I gave him a mischievous smile and lip bite. He started thrusting against me, his body slamming against me with a groan. I watched him turn from my tender husband to a lust driven beast and I loved every second of it. His nails dug into my hips and his eyes raked over my body with a hunger I rarely ever got to see.
His hips pounded faster into me, my body rocking against the bed. I couldn’t help but cry out as each thrust put a strain on my arms, my hands still wrapped around the bars of the headboard.
“Rin. Oh God.” He panted and leaned down to kiss me. His body pressed against mine and the rough hair of his beard scratched against my hyper-sensitive cheeks.
The pace and force of his hips had my body shaking. My eyes squeezed shut and I couldn’t see anything but the stars swirling. His words and body had me in a trance.
“Feel so good, babygirl. So beautiful.” Sebastian murmured and kissed me. Punishingly fast thrusts turned into erratic, messy ones. His hand reached down and started rubbing my clit. My body arched off the bed and my hips rolled against him, my arms stretched above me.
“Seb.” I panted, my trembling body pulling, pushing, and writhing against him. The bed creaked beneath us and Sebastian’s lips hovered above mine.
“Do it, printesă.” He whispered before kissing me. His hips moved again, harder and faster as I screamed for him. His face buried into my neck and his body shook against me as he started filling me with a groan.
Suddenly, amidst the passion and moans, the two bars that I held broke off the headboard as Sebastian and I rode out our highs. The wood snapped and our hands fell, still holding onto the bars as we laid connected. When Sebastian finally regained his strength, he rolled off me and pried the broken pieces from my hand.
“Almost six years together and this is the first time we’ve broken furniture during sex.” He chuckled and kissed me, my body a heaving heap.
“Uh uh. Not true. We broke a lamp in a hotel room a couple years back.” I corrected him with a weak smirk and a giggle. I reached my hand under his chin and scratched it, getting a bellowing laugh in response.
“I love you.” He whispered and pressed his forehead to mine. Heavy eyelids and a lopsided smile greeted me when I opened my eyes. From tender to beastly to downright adorable. And he’s all mine. I thought to myself.
“I love you too.” I cooed and kissed him. “Let’s get some rest, sweetheart. We can go new headboard shopping later.” I murmured and pulled his head to my chest. I ran my fingers through his hair and soothed us both to sleep, knowing we were both smiling.

Family Matters
Tumblr media
Summary: Corinne’s emotions about upcoming events for Sebastian take their toll.
With the announcement that Sebastian was going to go to Houston for Fandemic and Toronto for ‘I, Tonya’, my stomach had been in knots. I was so anxious every moment of every day. Even times I needed to relax, my brain was screaming. Sebastian and I sat in the yard, watching the kids play. I stared at a tree and fought my internal battle before my husband grabbed my attention.
“You okay, regina mea? You haven’t been yourself lately.” He asked me with a curious smile.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about September. You know, with TIFF and the convention, and the kids?” I answered, not meeting his eyes.
“I figured you would be at some point.” He muttered.
“Seb, I don’t know if I can leave them. But I don’t want them to be bombarded or overwhelmed by Houston or Toronto. And paparazzi might try to get their pictures and harass us and I can’t have them get my babies. I need to protect them.” I rambled, all the anxieties spilling before I started sobbing. I put my head in my hands and wept, barely noticing as I leaned in Sebastian’s frame.
“Ssshhh. It’s okay, doll. It’s alright.” He whispered and ran a hand over my back. He rocked us back and forth and tried to soothe me as I let out a small whimper.
“I don’t want to leave them, Seb. But I want to do my job and support you. I’m so torn, baby.” I cried, burying my face in his neck.
“It’s okay, printesă. You don’t have to go with me. People will understand. Me more than any of them. Stay with them.” He cooed and kissed my neck gently.
“B-b-but…” I blubbered, moved by how sweet he was being.
“They need you more than fans do. God knows that while I’d love to have you by my side and show you off, you need to be with them.” He said and pulled away. I looked up at him with tear filled eyes and he kissed my forehead softly.
“You promise you’ll be okay without me?” I asked quietly, my body still shaking.
“I’ll be fine, Rin. I promise.” Sebastian whispered. “Now, no more tears, regina mea.” He crooned and wiped my falling tears. I let out a chuckle as he cupped my cheeks, giving him a weak smile.
“I love you, baby.” I murmured and kissed his cheek with a smile.
“I love you too, doll.” He said. He kissed my forehead and I hugged him tight before he sunk down and rested his head in my lap.
“You’re such a good man.” I whispered as my fingers started running through his hair.
“And you’re a hell of a woman.” Seb chuckled before turning his head to watch the kids run through the yard.

What Am I To You?
Tumblr media
Summary: A fight breaks out between our favorite people over a long kept secret
We were cleaning out one of the spare bedrooms in the house so we could decorate and set it up for when Aiden and Genevieve came to live with us. Sebastian had left me to clean while he went and grabbed Chinese food for lunch. That’s when I found the shoebox full of pictures.
I went downstairs and sat on the couch, weeping as I looked over these pictures. The girl in them looked so much like me. Brown hair. Brown eyes. And yet, something about her was so different. They looked so…happy. I scrambled to gather the pictures when I heard the door shut, stuffing some of them in my back pocket before walking into the kitchen to greet him.
“Hey, baby.” I murmured, leaning against the frame of the entryway. He smiled at me and pulled out the takeout containers. He came over and hugged me, his hands going to my butt. My body tensed as he pulled out the pictures from my pocket. He backed away as he looked at them, his hands shaking.
“You guys look like a lovely couple.” It was all I managed to get out while trying to conceal my breaking voice.
“Rin.” He looked up at me from the pictures, his face mixed with shock and fondness. “Where did you find these?” He asked, his eyes lingering on the top picture. The two people, one of them a younger Sebastian, looked so happy.
“In a battered old shoebox in the room we’re supposed to be fixing up for Genevieve.” I responded coldly. “Who is she?” I asked, fighting back tears.
“Her name is Alexandra. We dated in high school.” He replied, the corners of his mouth turning into a smile as he reminisced. “She was the first girl I ever loved.” He added with a chuckle. I felt my eyes start to burn at that comment and my hands clenched. My nails dug into my palms, almost drawing blood.
“You never got over her, did you? Is that…” I paused, trying to catch my breath. “Is that why you never told me about her? Is-is that why you still have these pictures?” My voice shook as much as my body when I finally brought my eyes up to see him. The way his lips curled and his eyes lit up broke my heart.
“Corinne, I can explain.” Sebastian started, setting the pictures down on the kitchen counter.
“No. Don’t bother. I get it. You still love her. That’s why I never knew about her. I knew about all the others, but never her. Because I was just a stand-in for her, right?” It took all the will I had in my body to hold back the tears.
“No. You’ve never been a stand-in. You’re my wife.” He tried to explain.
“Then why not fucking tell me?!” I shouted, finally reaching my breaking point.
“Because, I-I…” I watched him stutter and stammer, searching for a legitimate response.
“You couldn’t get over her. You weren’t able to marry the woman you truly loved, so you married someone that looked like her. Talked like her. You married a stand-in, Sebastian.” I paused, looking at my feet before meeting his eyes. “You married me.” I finished in a broken voice.
“I married you because I love you, Corinne. I have since the day I met you.” Sebastian whispered.
“But you don’t. You don’t love me like you love her.” I cried, my body overcome with pain.
“No, I don’t. I never will. I was in high school when I was with her. She was the first GIRL I ever loved.” He enunciated, almost shouting the words at me. “But then, I grew up. I met you. And you’re going to be the last WOMAN I’ll ever love.” He tried to assure me, reaching a hand toward me. I backed away to keep him from touching me, my back hitting a wall in the kitchen.
“You never told me about her! What am I supposed to the think when I’m working on the room for one of the children WE are supposed to adopt and I find shoebox of pictures of I girl I’ve never seen before?!” I shouted before sliding down the wall. My body collapsed, shaking as tears streamed down my face. I couldn’t bear to look at him.
“Corinne, I’m sorry. I should have told you. I just didn’t think it would have mattered that much.” Sebastian said quietly as he came closer. Suddenly, the feelings of betrayal and rage bubbled as sadness melted away. My heart wrenched at his words as I stood up, glaring at him.
“Y-you what?” I asked through gritted teeth. “You told me that you’ve never loved anyone the way you love me. And you lied. You didn’t think it would matter for me to know that all this time I’ve been competing for your heart?” I huffed, my fist opening. I flexed, trying my best not to smack the living daylights out of him.
“You’re overreacting. I…” He started before my open palm made contact with his face. My hand stung from the impact.
“I’M OVERREACTING?!” I shouted, the volume making him flinch as he rubbed his reddened cheek. “Don’t you DARE tell me I’m overreacting, Sebastian. You kept a secret from me!” I screamed and cried. My hand reached for the first available thing on the counter, which just happened to be a container of rice.
“You asshole!!” I cried as I threw it. My body collapsed again, overcome with anguish. The only man I ever truly loved kept something so important from me for so long.
I barely heard his footsteps as he walked away, my heart pounding in my ears. He left me crying in the kitchen for an hour. It felt like my heart had been shattered and my soul had been ripped to shreds. I finally got my bearings and quietly made my way upstairs, trying to avoid seeing my husband. I texted Charlie, asking her to pick me up while I packed an overnight bag. She replied and told me she’d be there in a few minutes. I snuck outside, not knowing that Sebastian was standing in the driveway. He was leaning against the car and had a cigarette in hand. He started to speak as Charlie pulled in the driveway, but the sight of my middle finger shut him up quickly.
“Corinne, I…” It was all he could get out before I got in the car.
“Fuck you!” I shouted out the window as Charlie pulled out. “Charlie, if I didn’t love him so damn much, I probably could have killed him.” I told my sister as she drove.
“I say you would have had every right. What he did was just wrong.” She told me in a confident voice. “I’m so sorry, honey.” She added and rested her hand on my shoulder.
“Thanks.” I mumbled as she pulled into the driveway.
“I must say, that was quite a handprint Sebastian had on his face.” She chuckled, grabbing grocery bags out of the back seat.
“He told me I was overreacting. What was I supposed to do?” I explained and saw Charlie’s lips curl into a sly smile. We walked into the house and went to the kitchen, setting down the bags.
“It’s okay. Kevin learned the hard way that you don’t tell a Winters woman she’s overreacting. I believe it was in a similar fashion to the way Sebastian learned today.” Charlie chuckled as Kevin came in and kissed her cheek.
“Never doing that again.” Kevin commented before giving me a hug. “Charlie told me. I’m sorry.” He added with a kind smile.
“He’s such an asshole. Why wouldn’t he tell me about this girl?” I wondered aloud.
“No sense thinking about it now. Right now, we’re going to make tacos. And then, we’re going to eat tacos and have a Disney marathon. Because you don’t need to worry about him.” She stated as I started to get stuff out for dinner. “Oh no, you don’t. You’re going to go take a shower and change into your pajamas. I’ll make the food.” She fussed and ushered me out of the kitchen playfully.
I went to the guest bedroom and set my bag down before going to shower. It wasn’t often I stayed with my sister and her husband, but when I did I always felt welcome. I turned on the shower and noticed my sister had put my favorite shampoo and body wash for me to use, the ones I’d loved since I was in college. I smiled at the kindness she’d been showing me, realizing that my family was always there when I needed them. Especially when my husband wasn’t. My mind wandered to Sebastian and then to the girl in the pictures. I felt the tears start to burn my eyes all over again and I quickly wiped them away when I heard Charlie shout that dinner was ready.
“Coming!” I shouted back and quickly got dressed. I braided my hair and ran downstairs. “Smells lovely.” I commented as Charlie handed me a plate.
“Thank you. Mom’s recipe.” She chuckled and brought her plate into the living room. “So, what Disney movie should we watch first? Or do I already know the answer to that?” She asked with a wry smile and dipped a chip into the bowl of salsa Kevin had setting on the coffee table.
“I think you already know the answer.” I answered and took a bite as she pulled up Lilo & Stitch.
“Oh and uh, he called you.”  Kevin told me as he handed me my phone. Twelve missed calls from “My Love”.
“Thank you, Kevin.” I whispered, my breathing hitched. We watched the movie and ate quietly, doing my best not to listen to the voicemails and read the text messages. I made it through the movie and stood up, walking outside with my phone.
The voicemails ranged, starting with calm. Then angry. I could hear the pure rage in his voice that I wasn’t answering his calls. Finally, he sounded so hurt. So discouraged. So broken. One of the voicemails was him sobbing and repeating the words ‘I’m sorry’. I finally broke down and called him, my voice stone cold as he answered.
“Oh my God. Thank you for calling me back, Corinne.” He told me. I could hear the happiness mixing with pain in his voice.
“I only called you back because I didn’t want you to keep fucking bothering me, Sebastian.” I told him harshly.
“Corinne, listen to me. What I said today. About you. About…her.” He paused, avoiding saying the name of the woman who caused us to fight like this. “I’ve never loved a woman the way I love you. I never could. I’ve dreamed of you since I was little. Every other girl was a mile marker on my road to you.” He told me through broken sobs.
“Sebastian.” I muttered. I couldn’t handle to hear him talk like this.
“No, Corinne. I need to say this.” He told me firmly before continuing. “You’ve had my heart long before I knew you. I look back to all the girls I’ve ever been attracted to. Not one of them handled me the way you can. You know just when to leave me be. You know when to hold me. You just know. I’m yours and I have been my whole life.” He whispered the ending, pleading with his voice.
“I love you, Sebastian. I love you so much.” I cried into the phone, slowing sitting down on my sister’s front porch. I sat there, shaking and holding my knees as I cried into the phone.
“I love you too, Corinne. More than you can ever know.” He murmured and I could her the smile in his voice. “Please come home.” He was almost begging, ready to break.
“I can’t. Sebastian, I need time.” I tried to reason with myself that I couldn’t go back there yet.
“Would it help if we burned the pictures? I know you love yourself a good bonfire.” He chuckled. I could see him biting his lip like he always did when he came up with a plan to make me happy.
“I get to throw them in to the fire. I want to see them burn. And I want to know that you don’t have copies hidden somewhere.” I said firmly, wiping away the tears.
“I swear on my mother’s life I don’t have any more photos.” Sebastian couldn’t have sounded more sincere and serious. That wasn’t something he would say if he didn’t mean it.
“Alright. Come to Charlie’s and pick me up. If you’re smart…” I started before Sebastian interrupted.
“I’ll bring coffee and Reese’s?” He finished my sentence with a chuckle. “Don’t worry, regina mea. The queen shall have what she desires. I’ll see you in thirty minutes, okay?” He asked. I heard him gathering his stuff and smiled.
“I’ll see you soon.” I responded and hung up the phone before walking back into my sister’s house.
“Why the hell did you call him, Corinne?” Charlie scolded me as I walked in the door.
“He’s my husband. I can’t just ignore him. I had originally called him to tell him not to call me anymore. But, Charlie, if you had heard what he said. How he said it.” I explained and went upstairs to pack up my stuff.
“Rin. What makes you think he doesn’t have copies hidden somewhere?” Charlie asked as I changed my clothes. I slipped on my t-shirt and smiled at the idea of watching the pictures turn from glossy printed paper to ashes.
“What’s my favorite thing to do when I want to get rid of something?” I asked my sister as I slipped on my jeans.
“You love burning stuff.” She responded. She looked at me with confusion as I undid my braid and brushed my hair.
“Exactly. And he’s promised on his mother’s life these were the only copies. He wouldn’t say something like that if it wasn’t true.” I grabbed her hands and pressed my forehead to hers. “I promise you, I know what I’m doing.” I assured her quietly, kissing her cheek.
“I hope so. I do. I just don’t want him to hurt you. If I have to, I’ll kill him.” Charlie laughed as she hugged me tight.
“Oh, you know that if he hurts me, you won’t have a chance to kill him.” I giggled and saw him pull up to the house out of the window. I opened the window as he got out of the car, holding a king-sized Reese’s and iced coffee from Starbucks.
“I come with an apology and gifts for the only woman I could ever love.” Sebastian shouted with a smile. I grinned and shut the window before grabbing my bag and running downstairs and out the door. I ran into his arms and he held me tight, kissing me gently.
“I’m so sorry I slapped you, Sebastian.” I whispered as my feet touched the ground.
“I won’t tell you didn’t hurt, because it hurt like hell. But I will say I deserved it. I probably deserved something more than that for all of this, but I think I got off easy.” He told me with a small smile.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I might have some plans for you after we burn these pictures.” I chuckled, walking over to the car and putting my bag in the trunk. “Now give me that coffee. I need to have caffeine to deal with you.” I giggled and took the coffee and chocolate from him as he helped me into the car.
We started home, barely talking as he drove. Music played on the radio, but neither of us could sing along. It just didn’t feel right. He pulled into the driveway and got out to grab my bag from the trunk. He laced his hand with mine as we walked in the door. He set my bag down and lead me outside to the fire pit. He went and grabbed the pictures as I started a fire. He came back out to me grinning like an idiot and basking in the rising fire.
“Sometimes it scares me how much you like seeing things burn, Corinne.” He commented as he handed me the pictures. I threw one in and watched the paper catch, the memory fading and bringing me one step closer to peace of mind.
“Tell me it doesn’t give you some satisfaction to know we won’t have these looming and nagging at us.” I remarked as I threw another in. The way the flickering flames grew filled me with an inexplicable joy.
“I admit, it does make me happy to know that we can’t fight over this again.” He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. I finished throwing the pictures in and turned to him, wrapping my arms around his waist.
“Now that that’s settled, why don’t you put out that fire and come upstairs? Because I plan to make you pay for the pain you caused me today.” I ordered, watching him jump up. I walked away and went up to our room, planning just exactly what he would be doing and for how long with a smirk.

With Arms Wide Open-Heart and Home
Tumblr media
Summary: Part of the adoption process is having your prospective children live with you for 3 months. Well, the time has come for our favorite love birds to have a taste of their family.
“Sebastian, I’m shaking.” I murmured, holding up my trembling hand. My husband looked over at me as he paced the kitchen floor. He stopped pacing and pulled me close to him, kissing the top of my head.
“I know, iubită. I’m nervous too.” Sebastian whispered. “Would coffee help, my love?” He asked and looked down at me, his eyes almost filled with tears.
“No. It’ll just make me jittery.” I mumbled and wiped the tears from his eyes before burying my head in his neck. We stood in the kitchen, whispering assurances and holding each other close. My heart nearly burst out of my chest when a knock on the front door startled me. I pulled away and ran to the door, swinging it open to reveal Lillian, Genevieve, and Aiden.
“Hi, guys!” I almost shouted at them, nerves taking over. I wiped my palms on my jeans to try and remove the sweat that was building up on them. My heart started racing and then was immediately calmed when Aiden’s arms wrapped around my waist. He looked up with that bright smile and hugged me tight, my eyes welling with tears at his beautiful face.
“Are you crying because you’re sad?” He asked me in a soft voice and Genevieve’s arms wrapped around me as well.
“No, sweetie, I’m not sad. I’m very happy. You two have brought me more joy than you can imagine.” I whimpered as Sebastian wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed me.
“You’ve made us happy too.” Genevieve whispered and looked up at my husband with a nervous smile. His hand went to her hair and they looked at each other with so much love.
“I’m going to leave you guys. How about you show them their rooms?” Lillian suggested before walking out the door. I nodded and looked to Sebastian, tilting my head toward Aiden.
“Hey, baby. Why don’t you show Aiden his room?” I asked with a smile.
“Of course! Come on, my man!” Seb chuckled and took the little boy by the hand, leading him up the stairs. Genevieve followed behind me slowly, her hands fidgeting. I stopped in front of the door and waved her over with a kind smile.
I opened the door and ushered her in, trying to gage her reaction. Her eyes were wide and her mouth dropped. She was shaking either from anger or happiness, something I knew all too well.
“It’s so beautiful!” She finally exclaimed and jumped on the bed. “This room is amazing!” She added, running her hand over the teal blue quilt my family made for her.
“Do you really like it, Genevieve?” I asked her nervously as I sat on the bed next to her.
“It’s a room of my own. And my favorite color. It’s perfect.” She assured me, wrapping her arms around me and squeezing me tight. “And you can call me Evie or Eve.” She chuckled and tucked a strand of dirty blonde hair behind her ear.
“Evie, huh?” I pondered for a moment. “I like it. Is that what your friends call you?” I asked, receiving a bowed head in return.
“The few friends I’ve ever had do. It’s not easy to make friends when you move around all the time.” She muttered.
“I know, sweetie. But, if all goes well, that shouldn’t be a problem anymore.” I told her before pulling her in for a hug.
“My girls.” I heard Sebastian whisper. Both Genevieve and I looked up and smiled at him.
“Hey.” I croaked out as Aiden came over and climbed on the bed. He wrapped me in his arms and sat in my lap.
“I love my room, Corinne.” He told me sweetly. I watched Genevieve get off the bed and go over to Sebastian, wrapping her arms around him and resting her head against his stomach. I saw her lips move, but heard nothing. Sebastian’s tear filled eyes and quivering lip told me it must have been something sweet.
“I’m glad you like your room, Aiden.” I told him and tousled his hair with a giggle. Seb and Evie sat down on the floor, looking up at us. “I wanted to tell you guys something. I know it’s weird right now, but I want you to know I have never been so happy in my life. Except maybe the day I married this man.” I chuckled and Sebastian took my hand with a loving smile.
“What should we call you guys?” Genevieve asked with a big grin.
“As long as whatever you call me when I’m within hearing range is respectful, I don’t care.” I responded plainly.
“Same goes for me. But a bit of advice: she has amazing hearing, so watch what you say.” Sebastian beamed that megawatt smile at me.
“I think ‘mom’ works the best for you.” Aiden told me and my heart stopped for a moment. The world disappeared as that word, that name, echoed in my mind. I felt my heart racing and voices sounded muffled. My eyes filled to the brim with tears. Happy, joyful tears, threatening to spill over.
“Rin! Baby!” Sebastian’s voice finally pulled me out of my trance, his fingers snapping next to my ear. I pulled Aiden to me and held him tight, his head resting on my chest.
“I’d love it if you called me that.” I whispered and kissed the head of hair that rested against me. The cheeks puffed out, his lips curling into a sweet smile.
“So cute.” I heard Sebastian and Genevieve say together. I looked over and saw them staring at us, Evie sitting in front of Seb and her hair being braided.
“He’s a total momma’s boy.” Evie smiled back at Sebastian and then back to me.
“I totally understand. I was too, at that age.” My husband went back to braiding her hair and looked at me.
“Still is.” I coughed jokingly and smiled at him. I saw his tongue stick out and I couldn’t help but smirk. I never wanted to stop smiling.
“Hey, you guys hungry?” Sebastian looked to the kids and grinned.
“Yeah!” They exclaimed in unison and looked to both of us.
“I’m making tacos. One of you gets to go with Sebastian to the store and one of you gets to hang out with me.” I told them. Evie’s hand shot straight up, not even giving her brother a chance to vie for the opportunity.
“Come on, darling! We’ll let them hang out here and we’ll go get everything.” He giggled and patted her back as a signal to get up. She came over and hugged me before going to get her shoes on. Sebastian padded across the floor and bent down to kiss me, his lips smooth against mine.
“You know what we need. And please be careful. Wear your seatbelts.” I told him quietly. I didn’t want anything happening to them. Not when I just got her.
“Of course, iubită.” He murmured and kissed me again before kissing the top of Aiden’s head. “Love you guys.” He shouted as he bounded down the stairs.
“Love you too, baby!” I shouted back and was answered by a slamming door.
“Hey, mom. What does what he called you mean?” Aiden asked me with a curious glimmer in his eyes.
“It means ‘sweetheart’ Sebastian is from a country called Romania, so sometimes, he uses names for me in Romanian.” I explained as a pair of hazel eyes watched me with rapture.
“Do you like it when he calls you those names?” He asked and stood up in front of me.
“I do. Very much.” I answered with a smile before standing up myself. “How about we go downstairs and start cooking?” I asked and held my hand out. Aiden slipped his hand in mine, the skin smooth, and started walking with me downstairs.
We got to the kitchen and I turned on music as we started cooking. Aiden laughed as I twirled him around the kitchen and tried to sing in Spanish.
“Is that Enrique I hear?!” Sebastian shouted. I looked through the hallway and smiled as Seb and Evie carried grocery bags.
“Mom is a good singer!” Aiden giggled, setting a plate down on the table.
“I know she is, even though she doesn’t think so.” My husband chuckled and started chopping some of the vegetables for tacos.
“Do you like to sing, Evie?” I asked and looked as she helped her brother set the table.
“I love it. I was in choir at school.” She answered with a smile and a bright blush on her cheeks.
“Really? That’s amazing!” Sebastian exclaimed and started taking some of the food to the table. He looked so natural, being with them. This all felt so right. I’ve never been so happy in my life. I thought as I brought the rest of the tacos to the table.
“Alright, everyone. Let’s eat!” I told them and sat down. Aiden and Genevieve told us stories and laughed, filling the house with a sound I’d been longing to hear.

“I remember when you got this, Rin. It’s still so beautiful after all this time.” Sebastian murmured as he stroked and traced my edelweiss tattoo on my bare hip.
“It was the only tattoo I needed support for. And you were so supportive.” I cooed, running my fingers through his hair, scratching his scalp gently.
“Mmmm. I remember you making the decision to get this after we got married.” He started, kissing over the intricately designed ink. “I asked you if you were absolutely sure and you said ‘I am so sure. You’re the love of my life.’ You said it with so much gumption, I fell in love with you all over again.” He told me with a lopsided grin.
What he said was absolutely true. He is the love of my life. He looked at me and I found myself even more calm than before. His eyes were pools of serenity, a perfect place. His hair and beard had been growing due to self-isolation and quarantine, making him look even more rugged, yet soft. I continued to play with his hair as he rested his head on my thigh.
“I love you, Corinne.” Seb whispered. His fingers still traced over my skin, moving down to the mythology piece on my thigh that was finished right before the pandemic started.
“I love you too, Sebastian.” I crooned. This is how I always felt the most connected to him. Not out on a date. Not during sex. Just like this. Laying here, touching gently, barely any words needing to be spoken, just…being.
“So soft.” He muttered and nestled his face closer to my thigh and hand. I let out a contented sigh and felt the corners of his mouth turn into a smile.
“I know that sound, regina mea. You’re happy.” He mumbled and kissed my thigh gently.
“I am. I am so happy.” I sighed and laid my head on his pillow. I closed my eyes, feeling my husbands’ fingers slowing down in their grazing of my skin. He stopped and his head rested on my thigh as I hugged his pillow, my own eyes falling heavy.
