I was idly scrolling back through some server channels, and came across this WIP screenshot of what became that series of renders depicting Telanthera kissing Camellia for the first time. Despite the background not being loaded in yet, it’s amazing the difference running a shader from the outset makes in terms of the overall scene - so I think this would be worth posting as its own thing!~

(Camellia is taller than me and thus my self-inserts, except maybe Fioritura if you counted her height from the end of her tail, but the actual difference is very much overemphasised here because Telanthera’s sat on the floor and Camellia’s been pulled down to lean over her, hence why the final angle ended up being so different for the sake of actually facilitating a kiss. I think her model was literally kneeling on Telanthera’s knee here haha)

to be quite honest. shipping with CANON (not headcanoned) exclusively gay/lesbian characters as someone of the gender they are explicitly not attracted to is a form of erasure and lowkey homophobic. 'just make them bi' is a bad take. bi people are amazing and valid but not everyone is bisexual??? 'theyre not real' is a bad take bc representation matters and i feel like that doesnt really need to be said. obviously the character isnt real and isnt offended but gay/lesbian selfshippers can see how much you dont gaf abt their identities. gay people exist in real life too!!! homophobia is still so acceptable in fandom spaces and its kinda wild.

Now listen to me Sonic Team. If you're gonna insist on putting Zavok and Zazz in games years after Lost World was released and panned to high Heaven, you can at least do the bare minimum and include the other members of the Deadly Six. Including my girlfriend Zeena. Not too much, yeh? Maybe give her a cute biker suit like Peach in Mario Kart? Have her a lil wider around the hips? Darker skin and fluffier hair to reflect my headcanons? And have her silly raccoon partner be there on the sidelines for her whether she wins or loses? It's really not asking for much!

The dual announcements of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds and Mario Kart 9 around the same time got me thinking of my girl Zeena wearing those very nice biker suits the princesses wear over in Mario Kart (which seem absent in this latest outing; sad). The results, as you can see, were amazing. Credit to the amazing @dashintrash, who I've worked with before mainly on OC stuff, but seeing as they had a Sonic kick recently, thought they'd be a great fit for Zeena. And they did NOT disappoint! Expect some older work to be posted here too ;]
