I just want to say, as a certified monster fucker, I'm already in love with your story hahaaa <3 I'm glad we're getting more adult stories and the themes in this one are so intriguing, can't wait for the rest ! Alsooo, I really liked the way you describe things? I do not know how to explain it haha but I could easily visualize what was happening and the general atmosphere you're going for and I thought that was neat :^)

thank you so much for your kind words!! i truly appreciate them and i'm so glad the descriptions were to your liking! i have at least some level of aphantasia, so i'm always worried that i'm not describing things enough haha... glad that doesn't seem to be the case!

i was actually talking to my friends just yesterday about how there's relatively few Creacher-y ROs around... so for whatever reason, i guess because it's on my mind, i thought i'd take a bit of time/space here to mention all of the Monsterfucker Approved (TM) ROs that i could come up with, in case anyone else might be interested. this list isn't meant to be exhaustive (in case i miss anyone) as sadly i am yet to become all-seeing and all-knowing 😔

Creacher (Alien)

Rhaxa and Imxa from Project Hadea by my beloved @nyehilismwriting. spikey, scaley, bitey, etc. 👌i also love and appreciate the attention to detail put into worldbuilding for the different ways their species communicates and thinks and so on, showing the culture gaps between them and humans. quality buggies!

Creacher (Eldritch)

Roach from The Passenger... the mc is also an eldritch creacher in this one, which may add or subtract to the enjoyment for various different people lol

Sysba from Attollo; i also think this game in general is pretty monster friendly, with a bunch of monstrous side characters and so forth. the cool kind of neo-gothic vibes give it a feeling a bit akin to a cyberpunk Penny Dreadful... it's about as Monsterfucker as cyberpunk gets i think!

Beacon from Stygian: The Abyssal Lighthouse by my good friend @salty-stories. this one is probably the most Lovecraftian of the eldritch creachers i think, heavy Call of Cthulhu vibes. it's still in progress but i'm personally willing to wait haha

Danny and Isla from When It Hungers by the wonderful @roast-ifs ... the game is still on hiatus but it still lives rent-free in my head always... the monster mcs are So *chef's kiss*

Oisein from The Nameless; due to the sheevra mc there's a Lot of really cool exploration of the boundaries of humanity and stuff like that... we love a "nonhumans shouldn't be able to feel/do this" story... we love it a Normal amount for sure.

anything by the extremely talented @thirtybythirty (links to their games in their pinned post). everything they write has a compelling undercurrent of... eldritch existentialism. perhaps the creacher is in fact the Narrative... or maybe the humans were the creachers all along...

the fabulous OFNA: Birds of a Feather - it has the perfect combination of things Not Quite Human and Not Quite Right to create a rich and ominous atmosphere, well-worth playing even though everyone is Technically human lmfao

anyway sorry for rambling on and i'm sure there's a bunch i have missed but. i do feel like it's worth giving praise where it's due for games and writers that we appreciate! thank you again for your kind message (and for giving me a chance to talk about this a bit lol)

Biography:

Dináh decided to work to save money for college. Her dream is to be an architect (she loves old buildings and the idea of creating homes). That’s why she smiles and is super fake to the customers (unless they start being jerks), just for some big tips.

Sal is super cool too. Probably the only boss she ever had that can deal with her sarcastic sassy mouth off the clock.

But, why she’s so bloody curious? Why did she open that goddamnit cage? She regrets it very, very, very much.  But she doesn’t take it out on Ualaimkípia. She can’t be cruel to animals.

Yet, she isn’t really curious about her parents. Thinking about what she didn’t have made her sad as a child. So she decided not to care. And not to care she did.

Besides, she has a mother, right? Drew. That’s her mom. The one who raised her, held her hand, taught her how to defend herself. The one who was there. She just doesn’t think about the dead one anymore, Lucia, because she can’t do anything for her now. Lucia isn’t here.

Of course, Dináh was upset with Drew for not telling her anything about OFNA (or about how they might be connected with the end of her biological family). Nevertheless, she understands her. She really does. So maybe she will forgive her completely after some time (and that’s a very rare thing. Dináh doesn’t forgive easily).

When the twins came to her house, she didn’t open the door. Listen, when you consume a lot of media about psychopaths and killers you just DON’T open your door to strangers that talk gibberish, okay? Especially if they sound charming. Dangerous people don’t look crazy.

She only worships Britney Spears, okay? So this Ornithologisomething cult isn’t really her thing. And she doesn’t trust them. AT ALL. How can you bring someone by force to some weird place and expect them to be cool with this? Only someone with “cockroach blood” (aka too passive or afraid to do anything), Stockholm Syndrome, or without plans for their future would accept this. She ain’t none of that.

Quite the contrary. Dináh ain’t a coward and pushover. Or unfair, because that challenging behavior of hers isn’t intrinsic, but provoked.

And, like, you kidnap people with powers that might become dangerous and expect no retaliation over time? Good luck with that.

When not kidnapped, Dináh is generally quite friendly and smiles easily. She ain’t a complete jerk, but she just doesn’t smile at people she thinks it might be a potential danger.

Yet she thanked Elliot by reflex after he searched the bizarre room she’s in. Sometimes she ends up being polite to people she forgets she’s hating. BUT THAT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN. She thinks.

Obviously, she clicked with Simon. Despite feeling that his escape plans are doomed to failure (and even hers at the present time, unfortunately), she feels better knowing that they are on the same page. Besides, she admires his courage.

Dináh likes classical music (you didn’t expect that, did you?) and plays the violin. Her favorite composition is “Winter”, from The Four Seasons Concerto by Vivaldi. Anger management was always a challenge for her, so her teacher had suggested this activity (after she hit a boy who had stolen her notes. It was a mess. Drew was called to the school, and surprisingly, did not scold her. When the teacher said that Dináh "could not solve her problems with her fists", Drew whispered to her that "she could try").

It didn’t help much, she still has difficulty dealing with unpleasant feelings, but she likes playing.

Though she spent little time at the OFNA, Dináh already feels that she can become a nutcase if she continues being kept there. She hates feeling “suffocated” and secrets. Being at OFNA definitely won’t help to keep her sane.

But, oh well, maybe she will at least meet her daddy Elias, right?

Her hobbies include: play the violin, drink wine at the end of the day, play chess with the old lady next door, like Britney Spears’ posts on social media.

Oh boy, do I have recs, anon. I started out reading IF before I started writing it, so I've compiled quite the list lol.

Blood Moon by @barbwritesstuff (Werewolves are my weakness and the writing is so good, highly recommend Marco's and Vicky's routes but all of them are perfect tbh)

A Mage Reborn by @mage-parivir (The very first IF I ever read, absolutely crushed my heart, I still rush to play when updates are released)

Mindblind by @mindblindbard (Just...so good. Literally amazing. Not enough good things can be said. I would totally die for Gray.)

Raiders of the Caravan by @leftski-if (So much great writing and all the characters are very loveable. Highly recommend for some nice hurt/comfort but mostly comfort (so far at least))

Diaspora by @diasporatheblog (Very badass and very good writing, again has very loveable characters to the point that I can't easily pick a favorite (would probably end up being Sang if forced tho) also the world-building is just perfect)

The Exile by @exilethegame (Pretty sure everyone knows about this one but it's amazing so I have to mention it. Top tier, so much angst, I get to romance a god living in the player's head, what more could I ask for?)

The Golden Rose by @anathemafiction (I replayed this so many times, I literally cannot wait until it's fully published. So good, 10/10, couldn't recommend more)

Attollo by @attollogame (I think everyone knows this one too but I have to mention it. I honestly couldn't describe Attollo in a way that would do it justice, you just need to go play it. I'm definitely gonna almost get killed a variety of ways in this game, but I'm okay with that.)

The Chosen One by @kal-writesif (Again, just go play the demo. So good. 10/10. I literally love that there's only one LI whom I would already die for btw.)

Thrill Seeker by @thrill-seeker-if (Literally catch me romancing Hannie, Oli, and N. The writing is so good and I highly recommend it! My MC in this one is very traumatized tho.)

This guy combines an extremely contradictory character traits. He is calm and curious, but at the same time persistent and straightforward. He never thought that he would find himself in such an unusual situation. All he needed was money to college. He doesn't like to get into trouble, but somehow he often gets into them. Often says what he thinks, but is very cautious when it comes to the safety of others. Not afraid to take risks. He really wants to understand what's happening, therefore plays other's rules, but only for the sake of his own investigation. Friendly and cheerful. Always says he's fine, even if he's not. Genuine, trusting, impulsive. He loves his bird and communicates with it as with his friend.
