By now, Carrie is pretty used to her dad's eccentricities. The crystals and meditation room upstairs, evidence of his ego in the foyer, all white walls and bland furniture.

She rolls her eyes as he uses his helicopter to see his quack therapist, or go get the latest fad vegetarian super food, even though it would be easier to drive, or hell, even walk.

But when he disappears, she's kinda freaked out.

Look, Trevor Wilson will never win the award for World's Best Dad, but he still always lets Carrie know if he's leaving. Yet when she wakes up that Sunday morning to no note, his room empty, the copter still there, she worries.

Her dad isn't the type to go on walks, he's nowhere on the grounds, and his phone goes straight to voice mail. She curses them not installing cameras on the door, just so she could have checked them, but Trevor insisted the gate and razor wire was enough. Carrie had snorted at that-if Flynn and Julie could scale it, then how safe was it really?

She's honestly trying not to panic, but it's hard. Her dad's fame had started to wane a little since his last few albums had flopped, but he still had plenty of fans. Some of whom had threatened and promised awful things in the past. Had one of them finally carried through?

She knew it was too early to get any police involved, and even after calling Dr. Crystal, she had no leeds. So maybe it was desperation, maybe it was just needing to hear some reassurances-she called Reggie.

Reggie Peters had been her math tutor all year, and honestly the only reason Carrie passed with a high enough mark to graduate-her and numbers didn't get along alright?

But they had also struck up a tentative friendship, with Reggie sending her corny jokes or songs she might like, and she replied back with terrible memes and a playlist of gay country songs that made him laugh.

"Carrie?" he answered. "Not like you to call this early on a weekend."

The sound of his voice made her started to sob and she couldn't stop even as she word vomited over the phone at him. "R-reggie... my dad... he's gone and I don't know where he is and I'm freaking out and I didn't know who else to call..."

"Okay, slow down doll, breathe for me okay? Breathe."

Carrie hiccupped a little then slowly drew breath, blowing it out, over and over until the tears stopped. "Okay, I'm breathing."

"Good. Look, I'm gonna come over okay? We can figure this out, and then you won't be alone-you shouldn't be alone right now. You want me to bring you some snacks?" Reggie asked.

"We do have food here," Carrie replied.

"Yeah, no sugar no calorie no taste vegan crap," Reggie replied, making her snort. "I'm talking an actual snack-full of carbs and high fructose."

"Pink SnoBalls and the super spicy Takis?" Carrie asked.

"I'll get you a disgusting kale smoothie to even it all out," Reggie promised. "You want me to stay on the line until I get there?"

Carrie was so tempted to say please, to hear him cheerfully talk at her, have the comfort of his voice in her ear. But what if her dad called? Or worse, the people who may have her dad? So she shook her head before saying no. "I'll be alright-just... hurry please?"

"I'll be there in two shakes doll, I promise."

True to his word, Reggie was there before she knew it, and she barely waited for him to get out of the car before launching herself into his arms. Reggie caught her though, rubbing soothing circles into her back as he whispered words of comfort into her hair. "Come on, let's go inside and we'll see if we can find out what's going on, okay?"

"Okay."

Carrie let him hold her as they sat on the couch, gorging themselves on the snacks Reggie brought, while Carrie started texting and calling any acquaintance of her dad to see if they knew where he was.

No leads yet, and finally Reggie encouraged her to call the authorities, even if they waved her off, it would give her piece of mind.

Only as she lifted her phone up, an unknown number flashed on the screen. She gripped Reggie's hand, and he nodded as she answered. "Hello?"

"Carrie?"

"Daddy! Where are you?"

"Baby I'm so sorry I worried you. I went out to get some papaya-I even got an Uber because I remember you lecturing me about the helicopter. But then I found this cute little farmer's market and there's a booth here selling Filipino food like my lola used to make, and I got caught up talking to them. Didn't realize my phone died, so they're letting me use theirs. I'll be home soon okay?" Trevor explained.

"You didn't leave a note," Carrie sobbed.

"I figured I would be back before you got up, I am so sorry Carrie," Trevor replied.

"You'd better be. And bring me back some turon."

"You got it baby girl."

Carrie then looked at Reggie who was still there, holding her hand, smiling wide. "Actually daddy? Bring back two."

I suppose the easiest and most obvious way to answer this question is Chest Discourse.

Not that chests are always inherently sexual, but it's a running gag that many of the muses Sonia is shipped with in the DR fandom are...well, a little on the chesty side: whether it's Hajime, Gundham, or Akane, all of them are beating the likes of Kazuichi in the chest department. Though in one of the artbooks, Sonia directly compliments Akane's chest and proves her complete lack of heterosexuality.

I'd probably include abs and shoulders up there as well: mostly, Sonia likes for her partners not to be terribly lazy people, and their bodies will often show that: whether they're devoted to some sort of physical training or are just active and engaged with the world, generally she likes it when her partners put a little muscle (though nothing to the point of needing human growth hormone, or similar).

She also likes forearms, particularly long sleeves rolled up to the elbow during semi-formal events, and exposed collarbones. This is more for a slightly disheveled/less buttoned-up and put together look, which she finds alluring. So much of her life is dictated by formal events and rigid standards of dress, that someone showing up, bending those rules, and exposing parts of their body that aren't indecent but should normally be covered? Yeah, she's weak.

Also, she's turned on by two specific types of gazes: a flirty/playful look when someone wants to take her on an adventure or get under her skin, or the piercing stare/I am looking right through you. Intently. Supposedly unnervingly/if not horrifyingly. Both of those gazes....well, they do it for her.

Had you told Oscar, after their first meeting, that he would be engaged to Leonardo Garcia he would of laughed you out of any room. The additional idea that he’d be willingly and happily engaged would of made that laughter that much louder and obviously mocking. Yet months later and here he was, with an engagement ring on his finger and a handsome, older fiancé to boot and said fiancé was being rather...difficult at the moment. Given the fact Oscar was supposed to be on an important call and yet Leo had decided that Oscar should instead be focusing on him instead.

Which led to the situation of being tugged into the man’s large lap and feeling those familiar, skilled and strong hands all over him. Biting his lower lip and trying to hold back a moan as the person on the other end rattled on. It was when that large hand though slipped passed his trousers and started groping at his plump ass that he kept most of his resolve start to crumble.

“Just...hold on for a moment” He managed to say on the phone, pushing them on hold before letting out a breathless moan he’d been holding in. “You...are an evil, evil man and one I’m half tempted to throttle right now” He murmured - shivering and arching into his touch. “I thought I was supposed to be the demanding brat here and look at you acting like this” He shivered, gripping onto his shoulder tightly. “This couldn’t wait until after my call is over?”

Oh boy there are lots of them, but a lot usually have to do with his partners having control/him being able to let go and just enjoy himself. He's always on high alert/looking for threats and rarely gives himself the chance to relax so the idea of being taken care of is something that's always appealed to him. The idea of handing over control to a partner completely still scares him a bit, but it's something he'd definitely indulge in with somebody he really trusts.

It's no secret he has very little shame, but Hiro's definitely down for a bit of risk, if his partner(s) are. If given the chance, he'd be eager to indulge in a place that's more public--in the back room of a club, or against the windows, maybe on the balcony--anywhere there's a risk of being discovered, or acquiring an audiance, perhaps even tempting them enough that they'd join in.

Ω: Best Time Ever?

Most of the times he's been with trusted partners would certainly qualify--there have been times with Victory he still remembers fondly, getting spoiled by her--indulging in his love for praise, and being allowed to do the same for her. On the less wholesome side, there have been times involving several friends and lots of knives. Risky? Yes. Did he enjoy it more than he should? Also yes. He blames them for that one, not that he's complaining.

♤: Worst time Ever?

Before he left the Tyger Claws, there were a lot--ranging from people who were utterly forgettable, like clients with more confidence than actual talent, and a string of lackluster one night stands. But there were also some really ugly relationships there too that he doesn't like talking about. It certainly hasn't made him very trusting, and he still struggles with knowing that he's allowed to have actual boundaries with people. It's something he's still trying to come to terms with, and still needs a reminder of on occasion.

Steven still had a knack for embarrassing himself, despite being twenty-five and, in theory, well beyond his awkward teenager years. But he both lacked a filter and a fear of trying new things, which turned out to be the perfect combination for humiliation. All too often he shared personal information too easily, he tried new food and drinks that led to incredibly, embarrassing suffering, and regularly attempted physical stunts that left him with bruises on more than just his ego.

On the other hand, Connie had long ago transcended her childhood awkward stage. Somehow, she was a constant presence of unflappable poise, beauty, and wit. That was the kind of thing that happened when someone was preparing for a career in public speaking, and it could be a little annoying to have a partner so poised.

Except for the fact that he knew it was all a lie, and it was all too easy to knock her off her feet in the right situation.

“You’re painting again?” she asked Daniel over a dinner double date. “That’s amazing! I wish I could get back into my hobbies again.”

And he, one margarita in, put his head against hers to lovingly quip, “I wouldn’t called fifty thousand words of Sonic Boom fanfiction abandoning your hobbies.”

Daniel and Patricia cracked up immediately, and he could see the flustered looked on Connie’s face turn into giggles. Of course she wasn’t going to say anything - if she said nothing, there was a chance it could be a joke, and not that he had just outed her very real, ever-growing trove of fanfiction.

When the waiter swung by, he decided to get a double shot mojito, and a dish that was marked as spicy. It was a fun night, after all, and it took a lot to get him drunk.

And, as for spice, well… he was used to making a fool of himself. But he was absolutely going to drag her down with him if it was the last thing he did. Conversation continued as he took his drink fast, enjoying the odd burn that slipped from his throat to his belly - the beginning of a sleepy fuzziness starting to creep across his brain.

“Connie’s always been a nerd,” he remarked, grinning, because it was hilarious that everyone seemed to forget that but him. “No one notices because she’s so cool now, but she’s a huge nerd.”

“We’re all a little nerdy,” Patricia said. But he had vibes from that - the kind of vibes that said Patricia meant she watched sci-fi sometimes, or that she was very good at school.

“No,” he corrected. “I mean she’s a huge dork.”

Before he could see his wife’s face, the waiter slid by the table. Steven asked for another mojito and whatever look Connie had before is replaced with warning. “Should you?”

“Shouldn’t you?” he retorted, then beamed at the idea. “Can we get a long island iced tea?”

“Who’s going to drive?’ Connie said, and the waiter hovered by the table as he waited for them to settle it.

He waved his phone. “Rideshare.” He could tell that she was tempted. She rarely drank, but long island iced teas were her favorite. They were also very alcoholic, and she was very bad at alcohol. He said, with only the slightest bit of condescension in his tone, “Do you want wine? I know you’re a lightweight.”

She took it like a challenge, like he knew she would, and made up her mind straight away. She looked up at the waiter with her politician smile and said, “No, I want the tea. Thank you.”

She was a lightweight though, and he was quite happy with himself as he looked back at Patricia again. “I don’t mean that, like, Connie likes Star Voyage. I mean that Connie has an Eris account so she can fight about whether there’s a bias against interracial couples in fandom.”

“Well because there is,” she started, her temper went half-up just from the thought of it. But she took a breath and smiled and said, “But, you know politicians. We’re always politicizing everything.”

Boo! 

Boring. 

He tried not to pout, though he was pouting very hard in his mind as he ate his salad. Polished Connie was boring. Professional Connie was boring. Connie with her face on was amazing and wonderful and he loved the work she did but

he was already a little tipsy 

and she was boring. 

He was absolutely delighted when her tea came, and destroyed his mojito with a speed that made Patricia whistle. Connie was slower with her drink as she tried to maintain a normal conversation, but it was a heavy drink. It was her favorite drink.

It vanished, probably faster than she planned, and she ordered another because Daniel and Patricia were drinking too. Of course, he noted as he took a breather with an on-tap beer, the two of them could probably hold their liquor better than his love.

When his food came, he humiliated himself as he expected. His face went red. He felt sweat on his neck. He chugged water like he needed it to live. It was enough to get a giggle or two out of the other couple, and enough for his tipsy wife to regularly be overcome by them.

He was drunk but not drunk enough for walking to be a challenge. Perfect. He’d rather not look stupid if he wobbled on the way to the bathroom. In the meantime, Connie’s composure had plummeted down. Her voice was full of emphasis, exaggeration, excitement - the bubbly girl she kept under-wraps all too often.

Daniel was laughing. “Oh my god, are you serious? By the time you got to high school you were, like, full swan. We only knew you as sword girl.”

“And I worked very hard to cultivate that image,” she insisted, her words slightly blended together with delight and drink. “It’s a delicate balance. I leaned from Pearl. It’s about knowing what is and isn’t refined, and speaking only of the refined things.”

“Exactly,” Steven agreed, trying to sound properly Britishly posh. “We only speak of how compelling the draaaama was on Under the Knife, and never the fix fic you wrote because your favorite children’s book had too much kissing.”

There was laughter all around the table, Connie slipping down her chair as she giggled helplessly, shaking her head. “No! No that’s not why! You are taking-”

“Lisa says ‘you can’t fix an evil empire by kissing’, Connie! You made her say that!”

“This is bullshit! You are oversimplifying a complex situation to the point of no longer adding anything useful to the discussion!”

“That’s a meme!” Patricia cried. “That’s a seven year old copypasta!”

“Steven used to eat flour,” Connie said, a heavy swallow coming from her throat as she struggled to catch her breathe. “He still does sometime. I’ve seen him. I’ve seen him!” “Everyone eats flour. I can just appreciate it without other flavors.” He grinned, looking to the other couple with relish. “In Connie’s fix-it fic Archimicarus gains power whenever Lisa is in pain. So Lisa wears a-”

“Stop! Not the grimdark phase!” she gasped between peals of laughter. “Anything but my edgy phase, please!”

And that, Steven felt, was far more fun than composure.

Fandoms: only Dragon Age at the minute, but I’m so tempted to write for AC Valhalla (and Bridgerton, but I should probably finish watching it first!)

Most popular oneshot: Fool’s Errand, which is wild as I didn’t think anyone would be interested in a slightly plotless Blackwall/Lavellan fic that I wrote whilst eating breakfast one morning. but here we are!

Most popular multichapter: this is how the light gets in (a two chapter fic counts, right?) - it still warms my heart to get AO3 emails about this one months later, I’m really glad people like it!

Actual worst part of writing: knowing what I want to write but taking forever to get there. I’m such a slow writer (it took me 4 hours to write ~350 words the other day) and it gets really frustrating, although it makes it even more satisfying when I finally finish something.

How you choose your titles: song lyrics/titles - usually what I’ve listened to whilst writing, though often sometimes that works thematically.

Do you outline: god no. I know the ending/climax of a fic, but how will I get there? who can say. usually by throwing ridiculous plot devices at the wall like spaghetti and seeing what sticks.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice? oh boy, there are quite a few, though the most recent one is a kind-of 80s AU that exists purely so I can write as many song references into a fic as is humanly possible. I haven’t decided on the characters yet, but someone’s working as a waiter in a cocktail bar and it all spirals from there...

Callouts @ Me: comparison is the leech of all joy. also, you’ve been doing this for 8 months, you’re not going to be miraculously good at it straight away. this stuff takes practice! hone that skill and stop complaining when it’s hard.

Best writing traits: probably imagery and characterisation. I love writing descriptions with all my heart and am a big old slut for a tasty metaphor, which is probably why it takes me so long to write! and I think (or hope) I’m pretty good at making characters feel authentic and giving them idiosyncrasies that seem natural - although some of them (I’m looking at you, Anders & Fenris) are little shits who I can’t get right yet.

Spicy Tangential Opinion: I don’t think it’s particularly spicy because tbh it’s totally personal preference, but I’d love to find more post-canon fics where the main couple don’t end up having kids, and it’s not necessarily a sad thing? I’m sure fics like this are out there and I just haven’t found them, though!

conversely, I’ve read fics where having kids is a big part of the plot/character journey and I’ve really loved them - people should absolutely write it, and it can make for really wholesome and fluffy reading! it’s also transformative fiction, so writing fics like this could actually be a way of someone processing or figuring stuff out about their own feelings/emotions about or situations regarding having children, which is really wonderful.

but for me, it’d also be interesting to see how characters navigate stuff like the fertility problems associated with being a Warden, as well as characters that simply aren’t fussed about the aul procreation. it’s a theme that’s there in the games but, imo, could be explored more. maybe I’m the person to do it!

More platonic todomomo because their friendship gives me so much life and I think they’d actually be those kinds of friends that when comfortable with each other. Pro Hero Edition:

Sometimes Shouto and Momo team up together to work on cases because their agencies are like “You are our smartest hero so here have this case with another smart hero” and it turns out to be them. 

Momo, at this point, knows that Shouto can be serious, but he can also be very not serious and they end up laughing about some stupid meme Denki shared with him. 

Momo chucks his phone out of the conference room because he gets distracted.

She’s glad she’s working with him, but sometimes she feels like a babysitter. Shouto knows this and he pouts about it, but he never changes this because he likes messing with her.

He takes his “Little Brother Card” very seriously and will act like it.

But again he can be very serious about his work and very professional. It’s just when he’s with a good friend it’s easy to slip into “It’s just like this one joke that Mina told me about--” And Momo cuts him off with “If it’s about another meme, I will make a muzzle for you so you stop talking.”

She is v stressed sometimes, don’t tempt her, Shouto. 

Momo gets approached by little kids and they tell her she’s pretty and they have her merch, or they say she’s very tough like that Wonder Woman. But then they see Shouto and flock to him and they tell him the same thing. He takes it a bit differently, but he is always surprised to hear they think he’s pretty. 

“Creati is the pretty one,” he starts and the kids are like “You are pretty, too!!”

Momo be like “Celsius is pretty, too!!” Because of course she does. 

If you don’t think there’s a list about all the beautiful pro heroes and these two are at the top of the list then I gotta ask you to consider this. There totally is one. 

They go volunteer at day cares, hospitals, and children centers and they hang out with the kids (Shouto loves kids okay, he is a Dad to every child on the planet dont @ me) and they bring them gifts and they talk to them. 

Sometimes they go to Starbucks and have a drink or some cake and they have given up on wearing disguises because they’re too noticeable, especially Shouto, so they just sit there at one of the little tables and everyone stares. Everyone. Because of course they do. 

Momo is the prim and proper one that minds her manners and she knows how to behave in front of people. She has etiquette unlike some people (Shouto is some people, but he’s gotten better, he’s just Like That because he stopped giving a fuck a long time ago). 

Momo: Why are you adding six sugars to your already sugary drink?

Shouto: I like having a sugar high 

Momo, done with his shit: I’m telling Izuku about this

Shouto: No, you are NOT because I will bURN your PHONE. 

She can make another one, Shouto, she’s not stupid 

She totally tells Izuku

She just cares about his carb intake, that’s all he EATS! 

When they train together, though, she sees why he consumes so many carbs and really he just uses it all with all the exercise he does and also his quirks require a lot of energy so she can’t really judge.

He looks out for her fat intake, too, though. He sees you, Momo. He knows you need fat, but also. The way she gets on him for sugar is the same way he gets on her for fat. 

I like to think they just care about each other’s eating habits like if Shouto can’t eat spicy food because his stomach has been hurting and he orders it anyway because who the fuck cares, Momo will take his plate of food away and order something that isn’t spicy because SHE DOESN’T WANT HIM TO BE IN PAIN. 

When he finds out she has like high triglycerides or high cholesterol, he immediately researches foods she can have that are low on both and if he sees her ordering foods that are high on trigs/chol, he will also take away the plate of food and order something that is low-fat. 

They care about each other’s health okay. 

If either of them gets hurt during a fight, the other goes to the hospital to visit them immediately if they aren’t busy and they bring flowers and a teddy bear with a Get Well Soon card and also they yell at the other for a solid 10 minutes. 

They’ve saved each other several times during some intense villain attacks and somehow end up with explosions in the background. 

Momo: I think the media paid more attention to us looking good instead of the fact we were trying to get out of there ALIVE 

Shouto, already burning the magazine: maybe you should send them a strongly worded email

Because Momo totally has done that before and he uses it to tease her

She glares at him when he does it 

And he laughs. Because of course he does

Interviewer: Are you two together?

Momo and Shouto, laughing: hahahahaha we’re both very gay, ma’am. 

Shouto has been spotted wearing Creati shirts and hoodies, they’re v comfortable and the material is soft

Momo has been spotted wearing Celsius merch and she has a tote bag with his face on it, and she brings it along and shows it to him whenever she can and it makes Shouto very aggravated. 

When they are mentoring interns and they all fight together, they sometimes forget that they have kids with them and go HAM. And the kids are all in wonder staring in the background like wow where did this power even come from what th efuk c.

Pilot will always have a special place in my heart. Fugue is just Very Good and one that I’ll often turn to if I want to watch an episode. Nocturne – idk why this one’s on the list but I just really like it? I can’t really pinpoint any particular reason but I really vibe with the aesthetic. Canticle is great for so many reasons it has a good aesthetic and I love nick wilding. Deguello is just so satisfying??? As a conclusion not only to the whole of series 6 but series 5 as well, it really gets me – all of them coming together at the end after drifting apart in various directions all series? THAT’S exactly what I want TV to make me feel.

And also, Icarus needs a shoutout for being the only piece of TV that’s ever made me properly cry. Like I was sobbing for at LEAST half an hour props to Russell Lewis for making me feel An Emotion. & Neverland because I love it but I can’t rewatch it bc it’s too stressful

EDIT: idk why i immediately discounted neverland & icarus from the list for being to sad? like yeah i’d die if i rewatched it but neverland is great and the peter jakes character development is Important

Seasons in Order of Preference (or tops)

S3, S1, S4, S6, S5, S2, S7. This was so hard to do bc I like all of them? Like I don’t hate S2 AT ALL, but I just couldn’t put it in front of S5&6 because they have such good underlying plot. S3 and S1 have the most episodes that I gravitate to, and S4 idk it has great vibes although Harvest is a really unsatisfying ending. And I don’t specifically dislike S7, but the individual episodes are too intertwined to enjoy them individually which is something I prefer in a series. Also, it’s way too stressful.

Favourite Scene(s)

100% the end of Deguello as I said above. And Arcadia with Morse and Jakes in the mineshaft. Also in S6 when Box is being a dick to Joan and then Thursday comes up and introduces her as his daughter and Box shits bricks -- POETIC CINEMA.

EDIT: also i’ve just remembered when box is parked on a double yellow and trewlove says they’re going to stand out like a couple of spare pricks and george just smILES AT HER hhhhh

I have to say for bisexual reasons: the kiss scene at the end of Raga is just *chef’s kiss* and also Morse and Nick in Canticle in the enchanted place or whatever it was called and the almost-kiss in the pilot with Rosalind calloway.

Favourite Musical Piece or Moment

I have to say Jennifer Sometimes because it genuinely SLAPS. Like I have it on my Spotify for actual non-endeavour-related reasons, it’s just such a tune.

Also, the theme tune. It makes me FEEL THINGS. And I associate it with all the emotions I feel at the end of an episode because obvs it comes in at the end, so I feel like everything I feel about the show as a whole is tied up in that music???

Favourite Cinematography/Imagery (season, ep, whatever)

Anything that’s sunny and summery – immediately what comes to mind is Canticle, Arcadia and Harvest. I’m probably slightly misremembering them but in my head they’re just warm and golden and lens flares and sunshine the vibes are just immaculate.

Favourite Ensemble Character that isn't Morse

You mean I have to CHOOSE?? I have to say Peter Jakes but that’s mainly because I write him so often I think. Like I absolutely ADORE him but mainly the version of him in fanfics. If I took jakes out of the equation, I’d pick either Frazil or Bright? Bright just has such good vibes and especially in s6&7 and Frazil is an ICON.

Favourite One-episode Character

Automatically I want to say nick wilding but that’s 95% just because he’s really fucking fit. I quite like the vicar in Girl and also Anthony Donn (but only because I love Sam Barnett)

Favourite Morse Look (season, ep, whatever)

S3 is my favourite hair because it’s messier. In terms of a whole look either his red jumper in Ride or any of the casual decorating outfits he wears in S7. And the uniform in S6.

Biggest Disappointment

This is a common opinion but all the women are treated like shit and I don’t vibe with it. I was starting to plan a fic recently and I made a list of characters who don’t get a super big role in the show who I wanted to specifically use more because I love them and then I realised literally all of them are women? Yikes. Joan is treated like shit, Monica is treated like shit, Frazil is an icon but 90% of her interactions are just to further Morse’s development, Violetta again is only there for the sake of Morse, and Trewlove is side-lined so much too (I read in an interview somewhere that Dakota blue Richards actually had to press at some points to get Trewlove a more valuable role in the plot so I don’t even want to know how invisible they made her in the original script).

Also, it could be gayer. Like that’s just bc I’m gay, but I just want some rep that’s more than 2 or 3 off-screen gays/lesbians. I get it’s the 60s, but other shows manage it it’s not that hard to make one (1) rounded LGBT character in a loving relationship.

Provide some Spicy Takes (on canon, fandom, anything)

This is not spicy at ALL, but I love how shippable literally any character is. Morse and someone he met briefly in one episode? Yep. Two people who would completely hate each other in the canon? Go for it. Two characters who’ve never met? Sure why not? Morse has absolutely slept with all of his friends.

Oh and Jim is the rat king.

I’m following my own canon and whatever I come up with to a T ( unless some good suggestions in writer’s workshops or even here come up! ). He is the main character of my limited series pilot that I hope to write soon called The Insomnia Trap.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  —  Jonathan has many sides to him. The child of mixed Latinx parents and the youngest of three kids, he has had a relatively normal life ( save for early childhood, when he killed his mother by “accident” - should’ve mentioned that! ) and his very long goth phase in middle/high school, but always deemed himself to be on the outskirts of society. Because he was aware from a young age that he was simultaneously unwanted and unplanned, Jonathan came out of his upbringing with the idea that he never should have existed. This planted in him a very nihilistic, misandrist, and generally flippant view of the world despite pursuing his dream to work in comics and cartoons. Though he was hungry for recognition and dreamed of a world not on Earth, he often found himself to be a ghost wandering the streets of town, looking in on the people having fun in their homes without understanding why they were happy. His insomnia developed when he in his teens, though he still had trouble sleeping as a child after seeing his mother’s mangled corpse at the bottom of the stairs - his doing, of course. Whether he lives with the guilt or not is up to you to decide; it’s my personal feeling that there is a part of him, the human part of him, that feels horrible about what he did. He feels monstrous for it, in fact. This is part of the reason why, if he gets extremely close to someone, he warns them that he’s not a good person; the shred of good left in him. But he also feels his “metamorphosis” into the nihilist that he is today was inevitable, given that he was never supposed to exist in the first place. It should be mentioned, of course, that this nasty cocktail of things has not only stressed his insomnia, but he eventually was pushed into going to a sleep clinic to get to the bottom of his problems once and for all. He only encountered an extremely traumatic lucid dream that forced him to confront his past head-on. He was unable to save his rotting humanity ( D., a small girl that looked like his character Deirdre ), and was eaten alive by The Other, a creature that looked like a younger version of himself and eventually absorbed him into itself. He awoke, now in what can only be described as a constant lucid dream in waking life. He encounters monsters and hallucinations from his dreamspace frequently, and will sometimes see D.’s forest crop up in his backyard. To this day, he still believes D. is alive and well - and, of course, that the object of his obsession, the one person who ever understood him in his point of view, Annie Kaye, is going to one day return to him as he’s always dreamed. Sadly, she could want nothing less to do with his sorry ass.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  —   Around the time that The Insomnia Trap was simply going to be a screenplay, I workshopped it every few weeks in my senior Screenwriting class in undergraduate school. The overwhelming response I got was that Jonathan was abhorrent, creepy, and the question a lot of people had was why we were following him versus Adri, his ex girlfriend who was documenting his struggles with insomnia. My only answer to this is that is the point - you aren’t supposed to necessarily like him, I instead invite you to understand why he does the things he does. I’m asking you to do something you don’t like, something that makes you uncomfortable, maybe. I don’t believe entertainment in any capacity should be forced to be all about how “great” a person someone is. He’s a horrible person you can observe at a safe distance, and pick apart - a real puzzle who has his nasty qualities and his strangely good qualities mixed into one. I’m not asking you to forgive him, either. I’m asking you to see him for what he is and judge him for yourself. Jonathan is a gigantic mess of things - he’s deeply traumatized, but has chosen to live a life where he’s given in to his narcissism and self-importance, and he’s deeply hurt many people in his life - the most obvious being Annie, whom he feels he “deserves” after suffering so much in his life ( sure... ). He is in many ways a deeply unlikable character, and I wrote him keeping this in mind. That said, he has his better qualities, though they’re few and far between, that I think can keep him human in the eyes of the audience ( his love of animals, guilt towards his mother’s death, his intense self hatred, his genuine love for his nieces and nephews and for children in general, etc. ). Since he’s the protagonist of The Insomnia Trap, I can only hope that he is a complex and interesting enough character to follow for audiences if/when the limited series gets picked up!

What inspired you to rp your muse?  — Jonathan is based off of a very long personal experience I had, and I’ve always been fascinated by intense psychological horror. The two things came together, at first, when I was 12 and simply evolved from there. Originally, the project was going to be an animated flash movie that was divided into parts - but that of course never happened, I was too young and too impatient to ever do that. Over time, I ended up focusing Jonathan’s character, and he first appeared in high school - sophomore year, actually, in a different context. He’s been in development for a very long time, in other words, and I grew fascinated with a variety of different concepts over the years that got incorporated into his story ( doppelgangers, lucid dreaming, revenge, obsession, tragic protagonists, etc. )! He is one of the most intimate characters I’ve ever created, and I love him to death.

What keeps your inspiration going?  —  Music is a big one, there are specific songs I want to get the rights to use in the project if it ever gets made, and that really helps keep me focused on this blog and develop Jonathan further. Also, threading with my fellow muns and seeing how Jo evolves over time. What’s he capable of? Can he change? Is he capable of change, or is he afraid of it? These are questions that are asked with each character he interacts with, and I sincerely live for it. Also, drawing helps me out a lot too - maybe you’ll see The Insomnia Trap in webcomic form soon... just a thought!

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?  —  I do. I’ve been explicitly told Jonathan is disgusting and totally unlikable by people to my face, and I have made leaps and strides to prevent my portrayal from going completely in the “this person is deplorable” category that was tempting to head towards. It’s easy to explore someone’s bad side rather than explore their good side, which I can forget about with him. That said, critique really does help me develop my writing further, and I desperately need it even if it can be hard to hear sometimes!

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  —  I love questions. If people ask me questions, I do my best to answer no matter what they may be. They can be challenging sometimes, but that’s what makes it so fun!

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  —  Sure, I’m happy to hear what people have to say. I may not agree with it, but hearing different perspectives is so important in my point of view.

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  —  As well as I could. It can be frustrating, but everyone’s tastes are different, so I don’t really take it personally and move on. I’m really here to do what I want to do in the end, as the rest of us are, so I try to prioritize that over any negative feelings I might have.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  —  Again, I just let it be. I’m used to people not really understanding Jonathan or not caring for him while understanding him, and that’s fine! Everyone has their preferences for what they like in leading characters or just characters in general. He is a triggering character with very triggering themes, and I’m writing him from a very prolonged experience I had ( and it’s very cathartic ) so I can understand why people may not want to engage with him or with me. I’m perfectly fine with it and invite people to put themselves first, and I move on like I mentioned in the above question.

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  Yes! Please go for it. I literally do not proof my replies before I post them half the time so feel free to let me know if I misuse words or put commas/colons/semicolons or whatever out of place.

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   — I think so! I try to be open and inviting to everyone I speak to here, and always encourage people to come talk to me if they’d like to. No pressure though! Roleplay is for fun, and it shouldn’t be anxiety inducing or any kind of work - do things at your own pace here, that’s what I say ( though I’m trying to follow my own advice! ).

They’d just sort of gotten jostled that way.  Not that Lestallum was all that crowded, but enough so that they had to move aside for crowds walking by, and the streets could get pretty narrow.  Plus the really narrow alleys were sometimes the coolest, shaded and letting the breeze blow in just right...

Somehow Noctis had gotten a little turned around when someone bumped his shoulder on the way past and pushed him forward a little to get through, ending up accidentally pinning the blond against the wall.  He’d opened his mouth to apologize for being so close, but it was an extra second before whoever was behind him finally cleared out, and--

Well.  Kinda dumb and cliche, right?  Locking eyes and suddenly not really feeling much urge to look away.  Then again he wasn’t pushed either, and maybe it was all the heat finally getting to his head, or those spicy kebabs had a little extra something in them, who knew, but suddenly his mouth was three steps ahead of his brain.  “You’re tempting me.”

My father and mother saved up and bought a small lot of land and built a house and small farm. My father harvested plants in the woods to make into potions to sell at market. We were not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we didn’t starve.

My closest friend is Kian, though there’s a growing attachment with some members of the Inquistion.

I love that the request was probably from someone struck by the "no your spacebar no longer works on Tumblr" bug but it looks like ~aesthetic~.

Oh man, I just assumed it was a meme I wasn’t aware of. Is that a new Tumblr bug, along with the app and the site no longer getting along?

My orange girl has an almost grey undercoat too with diluted stripes. I think it's a gorgeous combo and I tell her she's a pretty kitty all the time. Polk too!

They are extremely beautiful babies, even if I’m their dad and have to think that :D I hope they stay adorable as they grow up, but even if they don’t I will still love them.

I’m hoping to try the leftover “spicy” strips with ranch dip because they are a bit hotter than I prefer. But now that I know how good Bonchon is I will probably be there very often for their Soy Garlic flavor.

Yes! Bonchon’s in the plaza, south of the zodiac statues. And there’s a BOMB ASS new bakery too!

I did have this weird “Is....is Chinatown GENTRIFYING?” moment, though, there are a lot of new shops with hip graphic design and lots of blond wood. It makes me sad that a hipster tea store appears to have replaced the Worst Junk Shop In The World.

soak the raisins in rum for 15 minutes before adding them (or warm water with a little honey and cinnamon if you don't want to use alcohol) it makes the cookies much moister and more flavorful

A bunch of people suggested this -- I’m almost tempted to make a second batch next week and try this, though there are other raisin recipes in the book so I think I’ll just try it with one of those.

Too much oat for the butter? Nnnooo? Too much flour, yes. Back that down to 1 1/2 c. Also use just 1 c golden raisins- better if they're soaked in hot water or alcohol first. The sugar is in the HARD CRUNCH SHARP EDGES range- I do love that intensely sweet taste sometimes, but I usually drop it to 1 c brown sugar and 1/2 cup white.

IDK, it was a SUPER wet dough as it was, less flour I think would make it spread too much, especially if the raisins are adding moisture as well. IDK about the sugar but they came out quite soft and chewy, though they did have crunchy edges.

Ok. Since you all *insist*... (Also I saw this and was like ok cool I’m bored and didn’t realize till I read through some of them that some were references to a series I have yet to read, so excuse me, I just answered these as myself.)

1. Melody is my full name. I’m not giving my last name for privacy reasons and I don’t tell anyone my middle name, but I’ll tell you the first initial is C.

2. I’m a Taurus.

3. I’m a tiny 5′3″ and 100 lb person with curly shoulder length red hair and bangs, hazel eyes, and I’m honestly really pale.

4. I’m 17.

5. I don’t have any set style. It depends on my mood, the weather, and if I’m going anywhere. But my summer aesthetic has been shorts and crop-tops, rompers, and these big golden sun glasses.

52. Verbal conflict makes me super uncomfortable and as much as I am willing to hit someone, I don’t usually react well to being touched.

54. Dude. I have bad self-esteem and I hate conflict so I’m bad at talking to people about things and I’m bad about admitting when I’m wrong because I have a crippling fear of people leaving me and that if I make mistakes or have flaws or whatever they’ll leave me. That’s a start.

55. I’m good at reading people/I can talk to (or make friends) with just about anyone.

56. I have good and bad days. Sometimes I think I’m pretty and others I can’t stand how I look, but it’s gotten/is getting better.

57. I won’t lie, I don’t do well with authority figures.

58. I actually don’t remember if I had any role models or who they were.

59. I love (most) kids. Babies love me- like I am The Baby Whisperer- for no real reason and (most) little kids do too.

60. I do want kids of my own some day. We want 3. We actually want twins and we want to adopt one.

62. I think as long as you can say you don’t have any regrets at the end of your life- or at least make your peace with them- and you learn to love yourself and hopefully someone else, you’re doing something right.

66. Depends. I send most people memes and things that remind me of them. I occasionally give hugs or lay on people, but physical contact is a weird thing for me so very few people see physical affection as my way of showing I love them and it’s usually when they’re upset/need it. It’s even rarer to hear verbal affection- excluding compliments.

67.  I usually don’t eat breakfast but I have become fond of smoothies.

69. My favorite fruit is pineapple and my favorite veggie (I count it as a veggie, fight me) is avacado.
