The New York County Supreme Court has ordered a “Temporary Receiver” to “take charge” of the building formerly known as the “Home of the Organizations of the Ukrainian Liberation Front” in Manhattan, which is allegedly drowning in debt and “literally crumbling.”
Rosenberg & Estis, “New York City’s largest firm focusing solely on real estate,” put a lien on the ODFFU building for non-payment of services exceeding $250,000. Rosenberg & Estis, which has in recent years sponsored the Jewish National Fund’s “New York City Real Estate Tree of Life Gala,” apparently didn’t mind representing the Banderites until they got stiffed.
Walter Zaryckyj, the chairman of the Banderite TP-A (“Field Leadership in America”), president of the UAFF, and vice president of the ODFFU since 2019, is a self-described “prisoner of Second Avenue,” or Little Ukraine. It’s he who once said, “we have plenary power,” talking about the ODFFU conflict. Zaryckyj is also the executive director of the Center for US-Ukrainian Relations (CUSUR), another OUN-B “facade structure” that organized the conference in New York with Oleh Medunytsia. When the latter’s predecessor Stefan Romaniw rose to power in 2009, the ODFFU owed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Defense of Ukraine Fund (represented in the US by the UAFF), and CUSUR was facing threat of eviction from the ODFFU building for non-payment of rent and utilities.
At least in New York City, the “Bandera Lobby” is controlled by a “Bandera Mafia,” the days of which seem to be numbered.

Most travel slogans tempt you to travel to "escape". But of course, one never escapes from oneself. As you may have read in my previous blogs, I also consider myself as an escapist. I travel to find peace of mind, reflect on my previous actions, and learn how to deal with the real world with the eagerness to do better, and thirst to challenge myself to do things I am most afraid of.
Perhaps going out of our comfort zones provides us with a point of access, that most are unfamiliar pursuing. Travel is simply another door to experiencing oneself. Before, I travel to see the world. Now, I travel to let the world see me. The always trying version of me. The Jasfher that is loving and caring, and is unafraid of other people's opinion.
Dave has shown me that there's more to life, and that being in the present is so much simpler when surrounded by people who truly matter. I wholeheartedly take pleasure on the thought that I never have to be someone else for him to accept me.

Traditionally there are tours A, B, C and D. Each tour offering a set of 5+ beaches, islands, lagoons and snorkeling spots. Originally, we booked tours A, B and C. But after giving it some thought, we removed Tour B fro our itinerary, to give time and try scuba diving in the morning, and food crawl from afternoon till night. Probably oune of our best decision during this trip.
Of all the islands that we've been to, my favorite islands would include Shimizu island and Helicopter Island.
In Shimizu, the tall, black limestone mountains are guarded by beautiful palm trees and a stretch of white sand. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. As a matter of fact, snorkeling at Shimizu Island is very popular. The island is considered to be one of the best snorkeling areas in El Nido and many tourists come here to explore the diverse marine life.
Helicopter Island, officially named Dilumacad Island, got its name because of the shape it takes when you see it from a distance. Once you get closer, its soft cream-colored sand and cerulean waters will lure you in and keep you entranced. It is a good place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful beachscape.

Going to Palawan with my boyfriend publicly holding hands is, to tell you the truth, invigorating (read: ganito pala feeling ng artista haha). It's like were sucked in our own little fantasy world where it's just the two of us, enjoying this little piece of heaven.

According to political scientist Ivan Katchanovski, the Svoboda party “regards itself as an ideological successor of the OUN,” or the fascistic Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. Svoboda united members of both the Banderite (OUN-B) and Melnykite (OUN-M) factions of the OUN, as well as “social nationalists” from the SNPU, including neo-Nazi football hooligans.
Oleksandr Sych managed OUN-B leader Slava Stetsko’s first parliamentary campaign, and spent weeks by her side. Stetsko led the OUN-B from 1991-2001 and its political party (“Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists”) from 1992 onwards. In 2002, a year before she died, Sych organized a volume of writings by Stepan Lenkavsky (1904-1977) on behalf of the OUN-B’s Stepan Bandera Center for National Revival (CNR). Lenkavsky, an OUN-B propagandist who wrote the “Ten Commandants of the Ukrainian Nationalists” and succeeded Bandera after his 1959 assassination by the KGB, once said during World War II, “regarding the Jews, we will adopt any methods that lead to their destruction.” In recent years, Sych founded the “Institute for Scientific Studies of Nationalism,” both of which are rather obsessed with Lenkavsky….At some point, presumably in the 2000s, Sych apparently served as the first deputy chairman of OUN-B, at a time when its point person in Ukraine was a veteran of the Waffen-SS.
In the coming weeks, Syrotiuk initiated the first “Bandera Readings” in the occupied city hall to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the “Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists” in Vienna that established the OUN. The Bandera Readings became an annual event organized by Syrotiuk and spearheaded by prominent Banderites from the Svoboda party and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. Over the years they have been joined by representatives of OUN-M, Right Sector, C14, Azov, and other far-right groups. Presumably the goal is to promote the total Banderization of Ukrainian society, and the unification of far-right nationalists.
In 2018, Yuri Syrotiuk participated in an event at the OUN-B headquarters building as a speaker alongside the “Path of Victory” editor and Australian OUN-B leader. They presented a new book of writings by Dmytro Myron-Orlyk, a WWII-era OUN-B leader in Ukraine. Although the Germans killed him in 1942, Myron-Orlyk advocated “purging” Ukraine “of alien racial, Muscovite and Jewish elements.” Among those in attendance was Andriy Tarasenko, the leader of Right Sector, who “finally” met the OUN-B chairman.

I increasingly feel uncomfortable that the crimes of the OUN-B historically is being reduced to only “murder tens of thousands of Poles and Jews” and not mentioning the hundreds of thousands of Soviet Ukrainians , Belarusians and Russians they killed as well during Great Patriotic War (which continued after capitulation of Nazi Germany as NATO until late ‘50s) Strikes me as Wikipedia “knowledge” going viral by people who didn’t know who Bandera was until very recently. The anti-communist character of their movement is being erased
(For context , a part of my family are Polish Jews from Brody western Ukraine who either fled east to Soviet Union or were murdered by Bandera-Nazi)
