yourusername: After an incredible two years and discussions with Franz Tost, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey, I have come to the decision to leave Scuderia Alphatauri at the end of the 2023 season.

Racing has and will always be an incredibly huge part of my life; I will forever be grateful for the opportunity given to me by Alphatauri and the passion and energy I have been able to put into one of the most important things in my life. Franz has been a leader and a legend, Yuki my best friend and the entire team here and back home are phenomenal.

Whilst I am sad to leave behind a legacy created, I am proud to take my next steps into the future as a Scuderia Ferrari driver. This has been a dream of mine ever since I was a child and I cannot wait to fufill the wish that my younger self desired for so long. Just from the title lots of you are going to tell me I'm the asshole, but I want to make absolutely sure, and there's more context.

Me (18tF) and my ex (17NB) broke up about two years ago. For this we'll just call them A. A and I were on 'good' terms after we broke up, we broke up because I was depressed and didn't know better than to suck my problems into myself until they noticed I was just basically just a corpse at the time.

Thing is, some months after this A mysteriously blocked me on all socials, I never knew why, but I couldn't help but to look at their socials to know how they were doing.

At some point they decided to use a picture of us as a pfp, and began posting increasingly worrying things, implying suicide and self harm talking about how they were 'unlovable', so I decided to make an alt to talk them out of it. I stayed up all night worrying that someone might have killed themselves over me.

A replied a day later, telling me they did not do anything. Which pissed me off pretty bad at the time, especially considering I've had experience with self harm. But I decided not to indulge too much on it. I did tell A that they shouldn't do it and that I'm available as a friend if they needed something (because I'm currently with my partner).

We then caught up on our lives, and became "friends", A tried to tell me that they didn't know how they felt over me, that they sometimes felt like they hated me and sometimes like they loved me a lot. But didn't say anything about their BPD until I got mad at them for calling me names and treating me like shit for no apparent reason.

I suggested that we should probably talk less and have them try to explore new things in order to move on from our relationship so that they could finally get some peace (because at the time I wasn't sure how BPD worked). And so we did.

We barely talked for a month or so, until on new years I texted them wishing them a happy new year to which they replied "Fuck off, never talk to me ever again." Among some other things, I felt like shit right there, because I tried my best to help them throughout, but they kept saying they don't want or need help (which I know for a fact they do, I told them multiple times that they need a therapist or someone to help them, they literally said multiple times that they wanted to kill themselves and that they needed me to be happy), so I decided - rather impulsively - to block them. But at the same time, I feel like shit for doing that, but I've seen his socials and I think they're doing okay, or at least better than the first time when they implied suicide. AITA?
