I got permission from the lovely squids_in_space to translate some of their Bajoran folktalk in their fanfic Something's Wrong With Mommy

I'll show first the original excerpt, then the Bajoran romanization, then the back-translation to English, and finally, of course, the full thing typed in the Bajoran script.

This took a little over an hour to translate, so no, I cannot provide gloss or IPA like I do for short texts or i'll go mad. making thi also added ~86 new terms to the dictionary, so be sure to check that out HERE in the ever-updating spreadsheet!

Oh dear listener! The blessings of the Prophets be upon you; hear this tale of Madja and the Pah-Wraith Child. It begins long ago, so long ago that the village where this story takes place has been long ground to dust by time. In this village, in this time, lived a woman named Katin Madja. She was a pious woman, a vedek's widow, and a weaver of great renown. She had lived a full and rich life with her husband but, alas! they had never had children of their own. So when she retired, when her hands were too crooked to knit or loom, she turned to gardening. She served in the vineyards of her deceased spouse's monastery, tending the sprika vines, making sure that the sprigs that fruited later were of the finest quality. The springwine produced from the fruit of Madja's vines were among the valley's most celebrated vintages. And for a time, she was content.

Vo veku 19 rokov sa Jurin rozhodla odist z domu a prestahovat sa do Korei, kde zacala studovat na vysokej skole. Vybrala si Haneul univerzitu, kde studuje pravo. Chcela pochopit pravny system a pomoct inym, ktori sa ocitli v podobnej situacii ako ona. Unik do Seoulu bol pre nu nielen sanca na vzdelanie, ale aj na novy zaciatok bez strachu a bolesti. Od troch rokov sa Jurin venovala snowboardingu, ktory sa stal jej vasnou. Bola mimoriadne talentovana a vytrvala, co jej prinieslo uspechy na roznych sutaziach. Ziskala tretie miesto na TSBA&KSBA All Japan Snowboarding Championship a tretie miesto na JSBA All Japan Snowboarding Championships. Snowboarding pre nu znamenal slobodu a moznost vyjadrit samu seba. The un/ited meth/odist church is “united” the way a sheep tied to a lion is— there’s two very deeply different ideologies that are at deep odds thanks to the legacy of colonization and harmful (and homophobic) missionary work in especially africa. Most of the fighting rn is about the official lgbt stance which is currently chosen per congregation. Their specific church is very lgbt friendly but because they’re in the south, not every nearby UM church is and what faction the court will be is a total crapshoot. It’s.. interesting stuff, in a terrible way, honestly.

Huh! And so, from what you’re saying I’m guessing, each court is kinda...regional? And made up of other local churches? ...sounds kinda like if you got rid of the Vatican and you just left it up to the archdioceses and dioceses to make rules. Sounds frustrating.

Automatic Potty Training Skill If Older Than Toddler

This is a supporting mod to go with TheSweetToddler's excellent Biggest Little Mod for Toddlers (available here), which among other features allows toddlers to use real toilets, with their own animation. TheSweetToddler provides instructions to very easily edit that mod so only sims who are potty trained can use the toilet, making toddlers less helpless without also making raising them too easy. However, doing that means older sims who weren't potty trained as toddlers can't use toilets either, and they have no way to learn how.

That can be fixed manually using NRaas MasterController; but to those who can't or would rather not do that, this add-on is for you!

What it does is automatically grant the potty training skill to sims who don't have it, in 3 conditions:

For every child-or-older sim already existing when a world is loaded

For every child-or-older sim created in-game (CAS, story progression, etc.)

For every sim who age transitions to childhood in-game

To use it, first download the version of TheSweetToddler's mod that unlocks the "use toilet" interaction for toddlers, and follow her instructions to edit it so that the "use toilet" interaction requires the potty training skill. Then install this mod as well, and child-or-older sims as well as potty-trained toddlers should all be able to use the toilet, while non-potty-trained toddlers will not. And that's it!

This mod was created on patch 1.69, and hasn't been tested on lower patches.
