Tryin to make a list of Octopath 2 NPCs for a potential tournament poll… why are there so many I stg
Here is a list of every named non-traveler character (plus a few characters from Throné’s path who don’t use their real names). Characters without unique sprites are listed in orange; characters who don’t make an appearance at all are listed in red. My thinking is to include every character from the main paths with a unique sprite, plus Al and the four Crossed Paths NPCs 🤔
Ochette’s Path: Juvah, Akalā, Mahina, Cohazeh, Cateracta, Tera, Glacis, Alpione, Pom, Heig, Petrichor
Castti’s Path: Malaya, Senah, Sesque, Mao, Edmund, Griff, Rosa, Melia, Lily, Greg, Plukk, Mikk, Makk, Trousseau, Elma, Andy, Randy, Yorna, Sally, Temm
Throné’s Path: Pirro, Scaracci, Donnie, Father, Mother, Diamante, Bergomi, the Slaver, the Masked Boy, the Elderly Guard, Mira, Morozov, Marietta, the Guide, Claude
Osvald’s Path: Rita, Elena, Harvey, Davis, Emerald, Bale, Clarissa, Ethan, Stenvar
Partitio’s Path: Papp, Roque, Ned, Joe, Harry, Nikki, Giff, Will, Ori, Floyd, Thurston, Alrond, Misha, Masoud, Terry, Audley
Agnea’s Path: Pala, Garud, Cuani, Gus, Gil, La’mani, Dolcinea, Veronica, Giselle, Tanzy, Rico, Coda, Laila, Platt
Temenos’s Path: Mindt, Jörg, Crick, Vados, Cubaryi, Lucian, Kaldena, Ort, Hermes, Reiza, Roi, Shirlutto
Hikari’s Path: Jigo, Mugen, Benkei, Kazan, Ritsu, Rai Mei, Tsuki, Ageha, Borneau, Zeto, Bandelam, Azuma, Rou, Mikka, Kunzo, Jin Mei, Kura
Other: Al, Regulus, Yomi, Wooly-Ooly, Alpates, Arkar, Porta, the Arcanist Descendant, Gken, Ichchadhari, Tyran, Hinoekagura, Margello, Tiffany, Astell, Meylan, Eugis, Nero, Ruby, Georges, Yurinas, Karma, D’arqest, Aelfric, Dohter, Alephan, Sealticge, Draefendi, Aeber, Brand, Bifelgan, Vide, Galdera

Do you have any recommendations for fountain pens? I was looking at some but i dont know if the ones i was looking at are any good lol
OH YOU ASK BISCUIT ABOUT HYPERFIXATION? YOU ASK THEM AND ARE GENUINELY INTERESTED? HUG FOR LIBELELLE. HUG FOR TEN THOUSAND YEARS. you will regret this i am so sorry in advance
anyway, the most recommended beginner pens are the lamy safari and pilot metropolitan. i personally don't like the metro (the grip section is slippery and makes my fingers inky, and the ink capacity is tiny teeny baby size), and i have never owned a lamy safari, but some people hate the triangle grip. their nibs can also vary greatly in quality, so buying one is a gamble, but a lot of people seem to like their safaris (and metros, some people swear by the metropolitan)
if you just want something cheap, you can try the platinum preppy - they're reliable for the price. the catch: the pen body will crack after about a year. they are not built to last, but if you wanna just test out if you like the (BEGINNER) fountain pen writing experience, then they're a fine choice
personally, i'm a big fan of the twsbi eco, but they are also prone to cracking over time and they get into a lot of shitty corporate slapfights with other pen companies who make piston fillers (my favorite kind of filling mechanism, so much ink capacity [but harder to clean!]). their nibs are reliable and juicy. you can also try the twsbi swipe for a very similar experience with a... cheaper price and look to match. the swipe comes with the same awesome nibs though
there's also the kaweco sport, which a lot of people swear by, but i've never owned because i personally find it ugly and unappealing (SORRY). it's a pocket pen, which means it's tiny when closed but full length when posted (when you put the cap on the end), making it a versatile everyday pen for people who have, like, jobs and stuff. i haven't heard many complaints about the quality control with the sports' nibs. i personally don't think it's the best pen for someone JUST starting out because of its status as a pocket pen, but again, lots of people swear by it. the ink capacity is piss tiny
there's also, of course, the pilot kakuno! cheaper than the pilot metro with what sounds like a reliable nib. i've never owned one, but they seem good for students and the like. it has a fun little smiley face on the nib =) because it's a pilot, the ink capacity is PISS TINY. but it's a good pen.
a word of warning. do NOT buy the ooly splendid. i repeat, DO NOT BUY THE OOLY SPLENDID. cleaning it is a NIGHTMARE because it has a little wick in the nib. like a marker. imagine trying to get all the ink out of the tip of a marker. it is a nightmare. do not buy the ooly splendid it sucks it doesn't even have a good seal so all the ink gets all boogery on the nib. bad
SOME NOTES: lamy and pilot use proprietary cartridges/converters, which basically means you can only use their way of refilling your pen. converters let you use whatever ink you want, which i greatly prefer. kaweco uses international standard short cartridges and converters, which gives you more options for cartridges if you choose to go that route. twsbi uses the piston fill mechanism, which has the most ink capacity by far, but it's harder to switch colors because of the way you have to dismantle the pen to clean it
ok. one thing to note is that these pens will either come with one (1) cartridge or no ink at all. so. what ink do you use?
WELL! one thing that is important to stress is to not use india ink. it will clog and destroy a fountain pen. make sure you only use inks that are clearly labeled for fountain pen use - any other ink may damage your pen.
in any case, i really like waterman intense black for a nice black ink that's easy to use and clean out of pens.
don't use any piddly shit they sell at michael's, it sucks (know from experience)
for any other colors, some brands i can fully endorse are diamine (cheap AND very very reliable!!) and pilot iroshizuku (more expensive, but the ink writes wet [more ink flow] and is vibrant).
brands i would warn against for ink are... NOODLER'S. the owner of noodler's ink is a rabid trump supporter and conspiracy theorist, and with ink names like "1984" and "censor red", i'm surprised more people don't know/care. another is ferris wheel press just because their shit is overpriced and underperforming compared to most other brands. if any ink is more that $40 it's basically a scam
also, shimmer inks are NOT for newbies; they are prone to clogging pens and ruining them. no glitter for new people you will regret it
UHHH OKAY THATS ALL MY BEGINNER ADVICE. SORRY ITS SO MUCH. GOOD LUCK OUT THERE SOLDIER

I drew this Kuja before going to see my family again for the first time in years, in 2019. Covid was something I had only heard about from twitter. What a different time...
As the text says, this piece was done entirely with foundation pens. I think the brand was Ooly?

Painting Rocks – Best Supplies for Painting and Decorating Rocks
Painting rocks is easier than it looks and it’s also quite addicting once you get started. It can be difficult to figure out the best supplies and techniques so I thought I’d create a guide based on my experience. For years I sold my painted stones on Etsy, but now I prefer to share what I’ve learned so that others can enjoy painting rocks as much as I do. This post has a lot of great ways to get started painting rocks. You’ll also want to check out my Rock Art Handbook that’s available now on Amazon for Pre-Order.
You're reading: Painting Rocks – Best Supplies for Painting and Decorating Rocks
THE BEST ROCK PAINTING SUPPLIES (affiliate links are provided for your convenience)
1. ROCKS– The number one question I get is “where can I find smooth rocks.” Here are a few different places to find rocks, but first take a little walk around the neighborhood, you may by surprised what you find. Avoid buying rocks that have a wax film over them to make them shiny. This makes it difficult for paint or markers to adhere to the rock.
Amazon has some great rocks for painting:
Capcouriers white rocks
Capcouriers smooth rocks
Smooth rocks for painting
Landscaping supply stores, stone yards and stone depots often sell river rock rock in bulk. Make sure to bring a bucket!!
Home Depot and Lowes garden centers will often have smooth river rocks in the garden section.
Stores such as Michaels Craft Stores, Walmart and The Dollar Store often have smaller rocks available.
2. PAINT – The best paint to use on rocks is acrylic paint. See my recommendation below for my favorite brand.
Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint – Love this thick paint that’s very vibrant
Mont Marte Acrylic Paint
ARTEZA Acrylic Paint – this is a great option for a variety of colors.
Artecho Acrylic Paint
Martha Stewart Acrylic paint is by far my favorite acrylic paint to use on rocks. I’ve found that this brand is not only bright but the paints are thicker so they are easier to apply and require less coats. You can find it at Michaels craft stores.
Folk Art Multi-Purpose Acrylic Paints are another favorite. I love the bright colors and thick consistency. The paint goes on smooth.
Read more: Hedgehog Fact Sheet | Tiggywinkles
3. BRUSHES – The key to painting details on your rocks is small brush sizes. Below are some of my favorites. You don’t need to spend a fortune on your brushes, the most important factor is keeping the brush size small.
I love this set of brushes. Even though they say they are for watercolors, I’ve found they are the best brushes for painting rocks with acrylic paint. I also usually have several of the 000 size brushes from the same brand always on hand.
Here’s another great set of watercolor brushes that has a variety of sizes perfect for painting details on your rocks.
4. MARKERS AND PENS – Another great option for decorating rocks, especially if you struggle with painting are paint pens and markers. Click here for a complete list of markers and pens for doodling on rocks along with tips and techniques. Below are just a few favorites.
Paint Markers – my absolutely favorite brand of paint markers are Posca Paint pens with extra fine pen tips. These paint markers also come in natural pastel colors as well. They are shown in the pic above.
Another great paint pen option are Tooli-Art Acrylic paint pens shown below for the Halloween rocks. They come in both extra-fine and medium tip.
I also really love these paint markers by Artistro. The fine tips make them wonderful for detailed drawings and doodles.
As you can see these Artistro paint markers are extremely vibrant as well!
Markers – If you want to doodle on your rocks using regular markers these Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens are my favorite. Shown in the pic below. You can see all the different ways I use them in this post. You will need to paint a white acrylic base on your stones if you are using these markers.
Pens for Outlining – For creating black outline around finished designs, I love these Micron Pens. I like having a variety of sizes for different thicknesses. You just need to be sure the paint is completely dry before using the pen or else you risk ruining the tip of your pen with paint.
Image via Seriously Daisies. See more of her pretty rocks on her Instagram page.
Chalk markers are such a great option for rocks, especially when crafting with kids. Here are two great options Fun Chalk Liquid Chalk Markers and OOLY Chalkables Liquid Chalk Markers.  NOTE: For the Fun Chalk markers you will most likely need to paint a white acrylic base on your stone first, unless your rock is already a light color.
Chalk Crayons – These chalk crayons are another great option when doing rock crafts with kids.  You can use them to draw directly onto the rock. See the pic above for reference.
5. SEALANT – When it comes to sealing rocks I prefer to keep the matte natural look of the rock as I usually don’t cover the rock completely with paint. I mostly use this favorite spray sealant by Design Masters. This spray sealant will work no matter what you use to decorate rocks. And it will not smear your design as sometimes other sealants might. If you want a glass-like glossy finish, you will love this gloss spray sealant option!
OTHER SUPPLIES
You can read more about other supplies I love for painting rocks in this post about doodling on rocks and this post about creative ways to decorate rocks.
PREPPING ROCKS FOR PAINTING
Before you get started painting rocks you’re probably wondering if you need to do something to your rocks first to prep them. I’ve read lots of different techniques for prepping rocks but I’ve found that you really don’t need to do anything. For the thousands of rocks that I’ve painted I simply wash the rocks outside with a house and let them dry and I’ve never had any problems with decorating them using the supplies I prefer. It’s possible you may need to prep them differently if you are using different supplies. But isn’t it easier to keep it simple if you can!

Get My Rock Painting Book
Looking for more rock art inspiration? Check out my new book, The Rock Art Handbook! It has over 30 different rock art tutorials featuring dot painting, marbling, embellishments, decoupaging and much more. In the book I go in-depth on different art supplies that you can use on rocks and provide a ton of tutorials to get your creativity flowing.
.
Are you ready to start painting rocks?  Make sure you check out all of my other rocks posts for more ideas. Also I’d love to see what you’re creating. Come find my on Facebook or Instagram and share your beautiful creations.

tell me abt ur fountain pens pls
you should not have sent this while i was eating half a pint of ben and jerrys. the autism levels are about to be catastrophic
WELL. i own eight pens now, with a fountain pen revolution himalaya V2 with an ultraflex nib on the way! the most expensive i own is the twsbi diamond 580 in iris, which i regret not buying in a stub, since the iris-finish nibs aren't sold seperately... a common twsbi L 😔
my favorites are..,,,, omfg looking at my pens i cant choose
my least favorite of the ones i own is definitely my pilot metropolitan. the grip section SUCKS, the ink capacity is SHITTY, you can't even eyedropper convert it because it'd degrade the aluminium, and the nib on mine is skippy and scratchy. AND the sharp stepdown to the section hurts my hand. FUCK the pilot metropolitan i have no idea why people like it. fuck the metropolitan
another notable failure is my ooly splendid, which sucks major ass. it doesn't even have an o-ring for a proper seal from the air so it just dries out and gets gunky with ink boogers. WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE I LOVE HOW IT WRITES!!!!! I LOVE HOW IT WRITES BUT I HATE CLEANING IT SOOO MUCH AND THE INK BOOGERS ARE THE WORST AND THEY DONT EVEN SELL THEIR OWN CONVERTERS YOU HAVE TO USE A PARKER ONE!!!! i need to resell my splendid and metro but income when youre on disability in the u.s. is weird
p.s. i love moonman, rebranded to majohn because of twsbi being dickheads but they're always moonman in my heart. i LOVE the m2 and the n6 is sooo novel and fun to use. the m2 in particular has an ink capacity that is honestly fucking ridiculous, it is SO fun. they also make a pretty reliable pilot vanishing point dupe! be warned, some of their pens are Shittáy so you need to look at the reviews before you buy a random one
SOME BITCHING:
i hate brands like sailor and benu that charge HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS for UGLY PLASTIC SHIT. just because you plated the clip with gold doesnt mean you get to charge $250 for partially translucent shitty looking plastic you fucking highway robbers

I decided to swatch my different watercolor sets and watercolor pencils. I’m “new” to watercolors and i suck at it. I say “new” in quotations because i tried them for the first time a few years ago, but wasn’t great at it so i stopped doing it until recently when I started practicing and experimenting more.
The Prangs are the ones I’ve used the most often. The Meedens are the ones I just bought recently on a whim and haven’t used them yet outside of this swatch, and the watercolor pencils are what I’ve mostly been experimenting with recently.
i deffo like the Meedens the best. Prang looks like crap in comparison and i’m probably just going to chuck them, and the watercolor pencils look pretty terrible, too. There must be better ones out there.
Edit: okay, I’m confused. So the top ones whoch I labeled Meeden... i bought them at Barnes and Noble and i thought i threw the package away and the actual plastic box doesn’t have any brandin on it. So i looked up watercolor kits on Barnes and Noble website and couldn’t find the same one. So i googled “watercolor and water brush kit”, and the Meedens came up and it looks exactly the same- same box, same pallette, same water brushes, exact same colors in the same order...
And then when I was putting my stuff away, i came across the original packaging and it’s labeled as “Ooly” brand. 🤔

This Fun Brand Makes Me Wish I Was Going Back to School
Adulting is hard. I mean, the end of the summer is just as sad to me now as it was when I was a kid, and these days, nobody takes me out and buys me a bunch of new gear to get me motivated. All kidding aside though, shopping for back to school supplies was easily one of my favorite things growing up. There's something about buying a fresh notebook, brand new pens, and even a new binder that just makes you feel like maybe this could be your year, you know? I legit miss having the chance to hit the reset button once September rolls around, but who says it has to be this way? I haven't really gotten excited about office supplies since Poppin changed the game a few years back. That is, until I recently discovered Ooly.
