Aum
A handful of stars persisted through the unyielding black. I counted four-hundred sirens of false hope; entertaining a trick borne from the immense scales that the universe dealt in: they were nothing more than trains of light screeching away from a station that had long since been obliterated under its own weight. Even so, the chant had not ceased.
This disconnection reclined lazily; fate’s concubine reading her master’s proclamation.
“Come here, Sake” The baritone-hound was snoozing; and the pricking up of his ears heralded his waking, followed by his head turning across his sleek body to stare: “I don’t wanna.”
I’d have to wait to pet my companion. The purr of reality held out; one star yet burned in the heavens, and I intended to reach it before it collapsed in on itself. A quick survey of the sector yielded speedy result; a neutron star placed mysteriously within reach of the last of my fuel. It seemed the All Mother wanted an audience for Her final diminuendo, and while I’d hardly been a model child of the cosmos; she once again saw fit to bestow me with sumptuous riches.
With course set, I sat down next to Sake; the old dog placing his head on my lap soon thereafter. Tapping into the thrum of the universe together; we sought to feel the last of the titan-song depart this plane. The Titans called it mah wakti (soul-throating), and the Karathi (known to many as the whispering travellers) called it Auham Ouham; from which the great thinkers of Earth divined the term Aum; sound of the universe. (Sake was perchance, the greatest master of this practice)
Many humans have called it mediation; but this description failed in its precision. To listen to the thrum was to be part of it, and knowing this, it was no coincidence to me that thoughts of my Grand Harmony, and the Titan who helped in its construction played before my mind’s eye.
Long have I adored the song of the Titans; the force that filled our cosmic-balloon. I took a certain fancy when I greeted my billionth birthday; to craft a planet that would mirror the ballad that bound galaxies like fine silk binds precious jewels.
I chose a planet with low gravity, where trees would grow tall into the stratosphere, each a violin, viola, cello or bass behemoth. Wind caught in their boughs and moved them to play the strings of their neighbour. Flowers sang operas of soprano and tenor; while falling leaves fluted tragedy of those star-crossed.
A moon moved into orbit by favour of the Titan Andromeda; turned oceans from pallid soups to a planetary percussion section.
We would never be enough for each other; I was no more than a wrapped candy of sweet time to her, and I knew her as a power to be enjoyed, never pursued or tamed.
Our project became the place we would live out our heretical dream; of human and Titan immorality.
In our moments alone, her words would come to my mind; not my ears, a rumbling affection that tugged my consciousness away from my mind.
In this place away from the corporeal I could taste the most exquisite cuisines; smell the forests of planets unknown; her form pressed against mine like finest velvet; yet my eyes failed to encapsulate her splendour. Crescendo after another weaved through the song crafted betwixt our unity.
We walked the rainforests of our planet; extradimensional, while singing our own part of the Grand Harmony, teaching the native fauna to find their sonata, soliloquy, stanza.
As millennia passed, Andromeda visited less frequently, her stays shortened:
This Harmony was ending; she was called to other moments. Finally, the parent star to my symphony went supernova; tearing my work apart by the atom; redistributing it into floral clouds of new verse.
I watched it; tears rolling down my face. I did not choke on them, they did not heave my body into hysteria; they came flowing both of joy and of grief. I had destroyed much to create this world perfect to my own eyes, and in spite of all my achievements, the majesty of the universe spoke louder than I dared imagine.
The only treasure I had left from my music box now sat with his head on my lap, snoring loudly. I worked for almost a millennium to perfect this dog, and now all he does is snore on me. The guttural blasphemy had brought me back to see that we had reached our destination; the orbit of that fading god, Sake once again proved his prowess as a companion.
Once upon a time, this all-consuming explosion that spewed energy throughout the cosmos would have been as a door to me; a place to cross over to the Titan-realm, where form and energy know no expression. But the plane of creation is present only through a window now, and any timid protestations that I could muster would be akin to a mote of dust wishing to smash through the stained glass of a cathedral. We lingered for days; experiencing the last moments of light, hanging on every note; the tragedy was inevitable, still we clung to hope that it was not so.
At the last, Andromeda cast a shadow; like a tree branch passing in front of that stained glass. She passed through the veil; all stuck between the second and third dimension.
“You can come with me. You need only choose it.”
A Titans concept of choice differs considerably from our own; for they exist in all eventualities, and we only in one.
The sun’s barrage withdrew, the last elements of its fusion reaction consumed; splotches of black that had been swimming about its ocean of plasma grew bigger. Andromedas hand stayed outstretched, right until the connection between realms was severed. The vibration of the universe went quiet all at once, never before had I been in such quiet. It was the silence of all worlds. No more glorious breath to behold, nor fast pumping of the heart; all was quiet for one pure instant.
The aum of the universe had gone; and with it the bonds that held myself and everything around.
Goddess as I might once have called myself, I am now the girl sitting by the fireplace with my dog, listening to the last note of existence.

The recent violent events in parts of the #CentralAfricanRepublic demonstrate that despite the important progress achieved this past year under President TouadĂ©ra’s tenure and the positive momentum generated by the peaceful conclusion of the transition last year, many challenges remain.
In response and in line with its mandate, the UN Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) continues to uphold a robust posture to protect the civilian population. MINUSCA also uses its good offices to engage all relevant stakeholders to resolve these issues in a peaceful manner and in support of the President-led dialogue framework.
Over the weekend, United Nations peacekeepers reinforced their presence in Ouham-Pende prefecture after clashes between some anti-Balaka and 3R (Retour, RĂ©clamations, RĂ©habilitation) groups. MINUSCA is also closely following reports of tensions between the Front Populaire pour la Renaissance de Centrafrique (FPRC) and the Mouvement pour l’UnitĂ© et la Paix en Centrafrique (UPC) in Ouaka prefecture and is patrolling the main routes in the area.

Cameroon Struggles to Secure Neighbors, Its Own Territory
While Sudan hosted a new round of Central African Republic (C.A.R.) peace talks this week, Cameroon’s military announced new troop deployments to contain spillover from fighting inside C.A.R.’s border. In Bossangoa, the capital of Ouham, more than 200 people came to hear Gaston Guella, an official of the Bossangoa council in the Ouham prefecture in western C.A.R., assure them in the Sango language that forces of the Multi-Dimensional United Nations Peacekeeping Operation in Central Africa (MINUSCA) would track down a group of armed men that attacked their city Friday night. Bossangoa Mayor Pierre Denamge said Friday’s attack, which residents said left six people wounded and caused many to flee their homes, indicates the population and peacekeeping forces should remain on high alert. The town has not had an attack in the past six weeks, and Denamge credited Cameroonian troops, who constitute the bulk of the U.N. peacekeeping force, saying they are doing a good job.  He says the people of C.A.R. are satisfied with the work done by the Cameroon military, because villagers can continue farming, fishing and hunting without fear of harassment, and traders can go to their shops because they know they have protection under the U.N. peacekeeping mission. He said everyone is happy that peace is returning and chaos is being reduced.  However, 40-year-old cattle rancher Ahmed Mahmoudou said the magnitude of the attack indicates the armed rebels are not ready to lay down their weapons.  He says the population was helpless and running in all directions when indiscriminate and heavy shooting began at the village’s Catholic church. He says members of his self-defense group decided to withdraw and alert the military because the attackers were more heavily armed. Many people have fled the area since 2013, and deserted streets and burned roofs are a stark reminder of the violence the Central African town had witnessed before the arrival of the U.N. troops.  Kenneth Gluck, the U.N.’s deputy special representative and deputy head of MINUSCA, says if the stability that has been established since last year continues, refugees and internally displaced persons can start to return to the western part of the country. “This is exactly the part the country where we have seen the greatest progress toward peace and stability, and in great part because of the efforts of the Cameroonian soldiers and officers and policemen,” Gluck said. “We see in the west of the country a real progress toward stabilization, which should allow during 2019 the gradual return of refugees and displaced persons.” Since 2013, thousands have been killed in C.A.R., and a quarter of the population of 4.5 million people has fled their homes.  Peace talks in Khartoum Last Thursday, peace talks to end chronic violence in the Central African Republic began in Khartoum, with representatives of the government and 14 armed groups in attendance, according to the U.N. peacekeeping mission in the C.A.R. The U.N. peace mission is made up of more than 13,000 troops and police, and Cameroon contributes more than 1,000 troops. Other pockets around the country are held by militias who say they are defending a community or religious group but often fight over mineral wealth. The conflict began in 2013 when a mainly Muslim rebel movement called the Seleka overthrew President Francois Bozize, a Christian. That move triggered the rise of a predominantly Christian militia called the anti-Balaka. Border deployment Cameroon’s military is also deploying to Garoua Boulay, the border town with C.A.R. The soldiers say that besides fighting to bring peace to C.A.R., they also must fight to stop the spillover of the crisis from neighboring countries, including the robberies and kidnappings that are on the rise. Armed groups from the C.A.R. have been stealing supplies and taking dozens of people hostage for ransom. Cameroon also is mobilizing troops along the country’s northern border with Nigeria to fight Boko Haram terrorists, and in the western English-speaking regions where separatists have been fighting to create an English-speaking state. The military has not given any official announcement, but it is believed both their resources and military are already stretched. from Blogger http://bit.ly/2MyMCAQ via IFTTT

Militiamen Killed a UN Peacekeeper in Central African Republic
07/14/2020 Central African Republic (International Christian Concern) – On Monday, July 13th, the armed militiamen killed a Rwandan United Nations (U.N.) peacekeeper, injuring two others in the northwest part of the Central African Republic. The U.N. stated that “the attack in the Nana-MambĂ©rĂ© prefecture, was allegedly carried out by the Return, Reclamation, and Rehabilitation (3R) armed group.”
The Central African Republic has been rocked by violence since 2013 when mainly Muslim Séléka rebels ousted then-President Francois Bozizé, prompting reprisals from mostly Christian militias. The violence has led to hundreds of deaths and almost 700,000 internally displaced people (IDPs). It has also pushed more than 500,000 people to seek refuge in neighboring countries such as Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Chad. A year later, in 2014, the U.N. deployed peacekeepers.
Violence waned after a peace accord was signed in February 2019 between the government and 14 armed groups, including the 3R, following talks in Khartoum. But like previous agreements, this one has shown signs of falling apart.
Multiple attacks attributed to 3R rebels have increased in the northwest of the country since the 3R’s leader announced their withdrawal from the 2019 peace agreement. The attacks have seen an increase in tensions across Nana-MambĂ©rĂ© and Ouham-Pende in anticipation of further rebel activity, with hundreds of people reported to have fled remote communities in some areas.
Much of the tension is over religious identity between Muslim Séléka fighters and Christian anti-balaka. Ongoing violence between Muslim-majority ex-Séléka militias and Christian-majority anti-balaka militias. It has resulted in thousands of people dead, 2.4 million in need of humanitarian assistance, and more than 542,000 refugees and 688,000 IDPs as of the end of 2017.

Como critério de avaliação, foram considerados quesitos, como: custo-benefício, coberturas, além da nota que os clientes deram para o atendimento recebido pelas seguradoras.
A April seguro viagem Ă© boa para a Europa?
Sim.
